After a week up on Thunderbird Five, Jeff had come to collect Lou. It had been decided that they would slowly build up the time she spent in orbit. She also had a meeting with the head of Tracy Incorporated R&D, Victor Wilcox. So, after a few days on the Island, she found herself in New York with Jeff and Virgil, who also had meetings. Jeff and Virgil had returned to Tracy Island after a couple of days, leaving Lou on her own in New York.

After two weeks in the city, Jeff and Scott had come to pick her up and take her home. Little did they know, they had also picked up a stowaway. When her period hadn't occurred when she'd expected it to, she waited a few days before going to the nearby drug store and getting a pregnancy test. The test had come back positive. As had the two she had done the following day. In her bag was a little teddy that said 'Daddy, I love you' on it. She was a little nervous about how John would react. Yes, they had discussed having children in the near future, she just hadn't expected it would be quite this soon.

Exiting Thunderbird Three, John saw Lou waiting for him. She had been back on the Island for a couple of days now. He kissed her sweetly and pulled her into a tight hug, which she returned.
"I missed you" John said into her hair.
"I missed you too" Lou told him. Hand in hand, they left the silo for Thunderbird Three.

"So, remember how we discussed having children in the near future?" Lou asked as they stepped into their bedroom. John nodded, a little confused. Lou reached under her pillow and brought out the little teddy, handing it to John.
"Wait, are you telling me you're pregnant?" John asked.
"Yes, I am" Lou replied quietly. "Are you mad?"
"No. Definitely not. Surprised? Certainly. Thrilled? Absolutely" John replied, kissing her forehead, a huge grin on his face. He was going to be a father. Seeing John smiling, Lou began to smile too.

Almost as if her body knew she had told John, the following morning found Onaha holding her hair back as she emptied the contents of her stomach into the kitchen sink. A knowing smile from Onaha as she had rubbed her back told Lou the older woman knew her secret.
"Are you OK?" Virgil had asked as she re-joined the breakfast table.
"I'm fine" she smiled. Virgil had begrudgingly accepted her word.

"She is not OK" Virgil told John as Lou ran from the breakfast table for the third day in a row. John caught Lou's eye as she returned to the table. She gave a slight nod at the unasked question. It was time to tell the family their news.
"Family Conference after breakfast. Including Scott" John had said. It was Scott who was currently up on Thunderbird Five.

"So?" Gordon asked. "What's the Conference for?"
"When we came back from New York the other week, there was also a stowaway on board" Lou said, a shy smile on her face as her hand went to her stomach. Jeff was first to get it.
"I'm going to be a Grandpa?" he asked, to smiles and nods from both John and Lou.
