This is a sad one.

Thunderbird Five, orbital communication station for International Rescue, was currently being manned by Lou Tracy, wife of the second eldest son of billionaire ex-astronaut Jeff Tracy. Lou looked up as the console in front of her indicated a phone call coming through to the space station.
"This is International Rescue, I am Operative Hotel," Lou answered the call "How can I help?"
"Oh, hello there. My name is Lucas James, I'm with the Make-A-Wish Foundation in England" they said."We grant wishes to children with terminal illnesses. We have a request from a thirteen-year-old boy who has an inoperable brain tumour. His name is Damien Wallace and he would like to fly in Thunderbird One" came the reply.
"I see. If I can take your contact details, I will speak to the Commander and we will see what we can do" she replied. Giving her their phone number, they thanked her and ended the call. Lou then called down to Tracy Island. It was her usual check-in time anyway.
"Hi Darling, how's things" John answered the call. Their three-year-old son Tyler was sitting on his lap.
"Hi Ma!" Tyler called.
"Yeah, all good thanks, Sweetheart. Hi Baby. I miss you both." Lou said.
"We miss you too" John replied.
"Yeah" Tyler said, reaching for the screen.
"Are Jeff and Scott there?" she asked. "I need to talk to them both." John sent a message to his dad and brother. The family talked as they waited. It wasn't long before Jeff and Scott walked into the office. With a look, Lou got John to take Tyler out the room.

"I want to do it" Scott said to his dad after Lou had explained the situation.
"Very well. Give us the phone number and we will give them a call to arrange something" Jeff said. Jeff called John and Tyler back and they chatted for a bit longer before saying goodnight.

After his daughter-in-law had hung up, Jeff had called the number she had given him. Three weeks later, he and Scott were on their way to England. Hope, Scott's wife, had come as well as she was an Emergency Doctor.

They were meeting Damien at the school he went to. The sports field was large enough for Thunderbird One to land. They greeted Damian and they had a drink and cake before they took him up. Jeff had remained with the parents and Make-A-Wish staff as Scott and Hope took Damien out in Thunderbird One. Jeff had told them about Hope being an Emergency Doctor, that they had made sure there were medical supplies aboard, just in case.

"Thanks so much" Damien said as they landed an hour or so later, a huge smile on his face. "That was amazing." Scott and Hope were smiling too.
"I'm glad you had a good time" Scott replied.
"It was the best" Damien replied as they re-joined the others. "That was freaking amazing! We did a barrel roll and everything!" he told his parents.

They had lunch together before they made their farewells and departed. Damien watched as they took off, a huge smile still on his face.

Three months later they were contacted by Damien's mother, who had let them know Damien had sadly lost his fight.

At the funeral, three uniformed members of International Rescue sat at the back of the church. They had caps and sunglasses on to hide their identities, and black bands around their left arms. Damien's parents had thanked them for coming, inviting them to stay for the wake. They agreed and stayed for a little while. A few people asked why they were there. Hope had explained about the Make-A-Wish request and that they were paying their respects to a brave young man, an honorary member of their team.
