Eli Vanto and Zuud carried Jaime Lannister on a stretcher while Luna pressed her hooves against Jaime's chest. Redheart followed them. They were in the cave."Out of the way!" Redheart yelled, pushing people out of the way."We need room!"
They laid Jaime down on the ground."Jaime, can you hear me?" Luna asked him.
Stuhlinger walked over to them."What happened?" He asked.
The alicorn looked at him."He fell down a cliff." Luna told him.
"But he was with Tarkin." Stuhlinger said.
"Hold steady," Redheart said, inspecting him.
"Redheart, his leg." Vanto pointed.
Redheart quickly nodded."I know. He's bleeding. Keep him steady." Redheart said, noticing the stretcher shaking."You have to press harder than that, Princess Luna."
"I'm trying," Luna said.
"All right, slow now." Redheart instructed Vanto and Zuud."Slow and gentle." They put the stretcher down gently."Easy."
Jaime's eyes were wide and there was blood all over his face."Derpy," Redheart looked at the cross-eyed mare. She knew that Derpy was very clumsy but Redheart need all the help she could get."A pair of scissors in the second drawer of the cart."
Derpy stared at Jaime, scared.
"Second drawer!" Redheart yelled firmly. Derpy quickly checked the drawers and got her some scissors. Redheart checked Jaime's breathing. Redheart looked at Luna."Vanto's gonna switch places with you." She told the princess. She looked at him."Vanto, I need some cloth to-"
"I understand," Vanto said. Hhe grabbed the cloth and put it over the wound.
"Stuhlinger, grab me a seat for him. Also, I need that mesh." Redheart said.
"Right." Stuhlinger left to go get what she asked.
Redheart looked at the Alicorn princess."Get to the beach. Ransack Valance's stuff. I want his alcohol rubbing-" Redheart then heard Jaime choking.
"What's going on? Luna asked.
"His lung just collapsed," Redheart said. Redheart grabbed some peroxide. She poured on his chest. She then poked his chest and air hissed out."Okay. Okay." She said while Luna stared at this, horrified. Jaime wheezed.
"All right, I'm gonna put a tube in that, and you're gonna be just fine." Redheart went to get the tubing and noticed that Luna was still standing there."What are you still doing here? The alcohol, Luna!" She yelled."Do you want him to die like Soap?!"
Redheart then had a quick flashback to Soap who had died because of shrapnel. She had not gotten over his death.
Luna quickly ran to the beach.
Redheart took a deep breath. She put the tube in so he could breathe. She then looked at his leg.
"It...it hurts..." Jaime said weakly as Redheart checked his leg.
"It's a closed fracture." Redheart noted."But I think I can set it."
"His chest," Vanto said."The wound...can you sew him?"
"He's lost a lot of blood. I don't know how far Tarkin had to carry him." The earth pony said. Redheart looked at Jaime's face. He was closing his eyes."Jaime, listen to me. Listen!" She said to him to keep him awake."You are not gonna die. I'm gonna fix this, okay? I am gonna save you."
At the beach, Doctor Whooves worked on the boat while Applejack and Applebloom took a break."Thanks for helping us, Doc." Applejack said, grateful.
"No problem." The stallion smiled."I just want to get off this island as soon as possible."
"Same here." Said Beilert Valance, who was with them. While he had not helped build the raft, he had given Applejack parts for it and that gave him a seat on it. He then noticed Jeela Brebtin walking by.
"Excuse me," The Imperial pilot said."How long, do you think, till it's ready?" She asked them.
"Maybe a week. Maybe less." Said Applejack."Are you okay?" She asked.
The pregnant woman nodded."Yeah, I'm fine." She said."All right, I'll see you later." She walked away.
After Jeela left, Luna ran out of the jungle and to them."Valance," She said, catching her breath."I need all your alcohol. Now!" She said urgently.
Valance saw that she was serious. He took her to his stash and he asked her why she needed it. Luna told him that Jaime had been injured."How did it happen?" Valance questioned.
"Tarkin said that he fell off a cliff while they were out hunting boar," Luna explained while she used the magic she could use to take the alcohol. She put it into a bag.
"Boar they never seem to get," Valance muttered.
"Is that it?" Luna asked.
"I'm afraid so. Do you need anything else? I could come with you." Valance offered.
"There are too many people helping, but thanks," Luna said before she left.
"I'm sorry." Jaime said."I'm sorry."
"He needs blood," Redheart said.
"A blood transfusion?" Vanto asked.
Redheart nodded."It will probably work with you since your both human." Redheart left to find out how to do the transfusion. Tucker walked over to her.
"Hey, how is that guy?" Tucker asked her.
"I don't know yet," Redheart said.
"What happened out there? Where's Tarkin? Do you think that-"
"I don't know!" Redheart exclaimed.
"What, Tarkin just took off?" Tucker asked.
The earth pony nodded."Yes, Tucker. He just took off."
"Where's Cersei?"
"I don't know." Redheart said.
"Well, she's his sister. Don't you think-"
"I don't know where she is!" Redheart yelled, annoyed.
Later, Redheart instructed Vanto to set Jaime's leg. She put a small stick in Jaime's mouth for him to bite on.
Vanto then put his leg into place. Jaime's loud yell was muffled.
Luna ran through the jungle. She then tripped and broke some of the alcohol bottles. Luna sighed before she heard moaning.
She followed the sound of moaning and saw Jeela."Jeela? What are you doing out here?"
"Nothing." The blonde-haired woman said."Just leave me alone, please."
Luna then realized what was going on."You're...you're having a baby." She said, shocked."Jeela, we need to get you back to camp."
"I'm fine. I just need to-I just need to catch my breath." Jeela said.
"It's not okay. You're having your baby."
Jeela shook her head."No, I'm not. It's just gas pains. It's fine."
"You're having contractions, Jeela!" Luna yelled.
"No!" Jeela yelled at her."I'm not! Can you just leave me alone?" She was sitting on a big rock.
"Come on, I've got to get you to Redheart. Please try to stand. Please."
"Look, I can't." Jeela said weakly.
"Help!" Luna yelled, hoping somebody was near her."Somebody help!"
Doctor Whooves, who had gone to get some bamboo for the raft, heard a yell in the night. He quickly ran over and saw Princess Luna and Jeela Brebtin.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"You're a doctor, right?" Luna asked Whooves.
"Well...I'm not a medical doctor. Why do you ask?"
"Because Jeela's going to have her baby." Luna said."I need you to go to the caves and get Redheart, okay?"
Whooves nodded."I'll go get her."
"Don't leave me," Jeela said to Luna.
"No. I won't leave you. I promise." Luna said to her. She then gave the bag that had the bottles to Whooves, who grabbed the bag with his mouth.
"Jaime," Vanto asked the knight."What is your blood type?"
Jaime, who had been staring at the ceiling of the cave, looked at him."Blood...type?"
"You don't know what that is?" Redheart said, surprised. She sighed. Now, this would be harder.
"Cersei...the gunship..." Jaime muttered.
Vanto's eyes widened when he heard that."Gunship? What gunship?"
Jaime didn't say anything. He closed his eyes.
"My blood type is O negative. We don't know what his blood type but maybe mine will work." Vanto said.
Redheart nodded and started the blood transfusion.
Cersei Lannister was at the beach, thinking of when she would be found. She wondered what was happening in Westeros. She had heard that Stannis Baratheon was in the north while there had rumors of a Targaryen girl freeing slaves.
Maybe Robert was right...we should have killed that Targaryen girl. She thought.
"Nurse Redheart!" Doctor Whooves yelled as he ran to the caves."Nurse Redheart!" He entered the tent they had made for Jaime."It's Jeela..." He took a moment to catch his breath."She's in labor. She's with Princess Luna." He told them.
"Jeela's having the baby?!" Tucker said, surprised."Is she okay?"
"I think she's okay but she's in pain," Whooves said.
"How fast are the contractions coming?" Redheart asked him.
"Every two minutes," Whooves said.
"Is she nauseous? Can she stand? Is there any bleeding? Did her water break?" Redheart questioned him.
Whooves quickly shook his head."No. But she can't move."
"We should go." Said Tucker. He looked at Redheart."What do we need? Towels, bandages, hot water? How the hell do we take hot water?!"
"I'm sure you'll figure all that out, alright." The nurse said."Take Tucker to Jeela and Luna." She said to Whooves."Okay, Tucker. Tell Luna to wait until the contractions are 60 seconds apart, you got that?" She asked him. Tucker nodded."Now, she's going to need to make sure that Jeela pushes, but not too hard, not too fast - just until the head is clear. And then, as hard as she can. When the baby is out make sure she clears its nose and its mouth."
"Thanks for telling me, but you'll be there by then, right?" Tucker asked her.
Redheart shook her head."No, I'm not going anywhere. I need to stay here. Now, you tell Princess Luna she's going to have to deliver this baby."
"They've stopped." Said Jeela, calming down.
"That happens, I think." Luna said.
Jeela shook her head."No, no, no, they're not coming anymore. I'm fine. I'm okay. I'm okay."
"No, Jeela." Luna told her.
"No, no, no. I'm okay, really." Jeela said, trying to stand up.
"Jeela, I don't think that you should be doing-"
The TIE pilot then felt something wet. She looked down."What is that?"
Luna's eyes widened."I think your water broke."
"No, no, no." Jeela refused to believe this.
"Yeah, no, no, I think you, okay..." Luna was not really sure what to do.
"No, I can't have the baby now." Jeela said, sweating.
"Just hold on-"
"I can't have the baby now!" Jeela yelled.
"Just hold on." Luna tried to calm her down."Vanto's coming. Jeela, he's coming." I hope. She thought.
"I'm going to die, aren't I?" Jaime asked.
Redheart looked at him. Vanto was in the tent, still giving him blood."No. You won't die." Redheart said.
"My leg...it hurts..." Jaime said.
"Don't try moving. Can you breathe okay?"
"It fell on me."
Redheart raised an eyebrow."What fell?"
"The gunship. It was something big and white."
"But...but Tarkin said you fell from a cliff," Redheart said.
"No...it was something on top of a cliff. The gunship fell. It's because of the hatch. We found a hatch." Jaime started to close his eyes.
"Jaime! Jaime, stay with me!" Redheart yelled.
Jaime's eyes opened."Tarkin said-Tarkin said-Tarkin said not to tell. About the hatch."
Redheart and Vanto looked at each other.
"What did Tarkin do? What hatch? What-" Redheart was interrupted by the knight.
"My leg hurts..." Jaime groaned. He started closing his eyes again.
"Jaime? Jaime!"
"Cersei...Cersei...Brienne..." Jaime said.
Cersei walked down the beach, waiting for her brother to return from hunting with Tarkin.
"That hurts." Jeela moaned as she was in labor.
Whooves and Tucker ran over to Luna and Jeela."Hello?" Tucker said."Hey, Luna. Is Jeela okay?"
Luna nodded."Where's Redheart?"
"She couldn't come." The soldier told her.
Her eyes widened."What do you mean she couldn't come?"
"She's taking care of Jaime."
Luna had completely forgotten."Okay, okay. We'll just pick her up and bring her to Redheart."
"No, Luna." Tucker shook his head.
"No, we have to take her to Redheart before it's too late." Luna said.
"Be quiet!" Doctor Whooves said to them, not wanting to upset Jeela as she was in labor.
Tucker took Luna away from Jeela."Look, Vanto said you have to deliver the baby."
"What?" Luna nearly yelled.
"Listen, it's painful but easy. Trust me, I gave birth to an alien."
...
"Uh..." Luna wasn't sure what to say to that.
"It's a long story. Well, maybe not that long since me and Caboose and this bomb named Andy had to defeat some alien and the alien warrior that followed us got me pregnant."
...
"Uh..." Luna said again.
"Just go help Jeela."
Vanto felt weak. He had given too much blood to Jaime."This isn't working." Vanto said.
"The blood's not the problem." Said Redheart." It's the leg. All the blood's pooling there - compartment syndrome. He didn't get this injury from a fall. Something crushed his leg."
Redheart took out the tube for the blood transfusion. She then walked out of the tent."Stuhlinger," She said to the slightly overweight man."Where's Applejack?"
"The beach, I think." He said.
"I need you to go get her for me, okay?"
"What for?" Stuhlinger asked.
"Just go get her. And bring the ax."
Redheart explained what had happened to Jaime to Applejack when the Applejack got there."You're saying Tarkin lied?" The element of honesty asked.
"He didn't fall. His leg was pinned under something-something heavy." Redheart said. She looked at the ax that Applejack had brought.
"Are you...are you sure you should cut off his leg?" Applejack asked, scared.
"His leg is dead." Redheart told her. She felt bad that she had to do this, especially since Jaime only had one hand. But she had to do it to save him.
"Jeela," Said Luna."I think this is about the time you're supposed to start pushing, okay? So, push."
Jeela held her breath.
"And, don't hold your breath. You won't be able to push if you-" Luna noticed she kept holding her breath."Jeela? Jeela, what are you doing? Oh, no, no, no, Jeela, you need to push, right now. Don't do this, Jeela, okay? You can't stop this - this is happening. Your baby is coming and I need your help."
"It's not going to want me." Jeela cried.
"What?"
"It knows I don't want it - that I was going to give it away. Babies know that stuff." She said.
"Do you want this baby now? Hmm? Do you want it to be healthy and safe?" Luna asked.
Jeela quickly nodded.
"Okay, then the baby knows that, too. You are not alone in this. We are all here for you. This baby is all of ours, but I need you to push, okay? Okay?"
Jeela nodded again.
"Alright. 1, 2, 3, push. Good. Good, push!"
Jeela then pushed.
Vanto gave Jaime some water to drink but the Lannister only coughed blood."Redheart." Vanto called out to the earth pony. Redheart looked at him.
Redheart grabbed an ax with her mouth and prepared to cut off his leg."Redheart...he's bleeding inside." Vanto said."You can't save him. You just can't!" Vanto yelled.
"Don't tell me what I can't do!" Redheart snapped at him."Leave!"
Vanto looked at Jaime one last time and left the tent.
Redheart was about to cut it off when Jaime said something.
"Wait. Wait." He said.
"I have to." Redheart told him."If I don't-"
"I'm all messed up inside. You know it." Jaime said.
"This is our best chance."
"There's no chance. Really. I mean, look where we are. I was lucky to survive after my hand was cut off."
"I'm not going to let you give up," Redheart said.
"I know you made a promise. I'm letting you off the hook. Let me go, Redheart." He said.
Redheart stared at him for a long moment."I'm sorry."
"Don't be."
"Breathe," Luna said to Jeela."C'mon breathe, breathe, okay, okay. Ready? I think it's close, c'mon. Go, go, go." She said and Jeela continued to give birth."That's really good. C'mon, I think it's close. Okay, good, good, good. I can see it. I can see the top of its head." Jeela giving birth reminded her of when Princess Cadance had given birth to Flurry Heart.
"I can see it. I can see it, okay. You're almost there. You're so close, you're so close. Ready, ready?"
Jeela nodded.
"C'mon, one more. Push, push, push, push, push!" Luna said and Jeela did. The alicorn smiled when she saw the baby."It's a boy." She said. She handed the crying baby to Jeela.
"I have a son." Jeela smiled, tears of joy in her eyes. Tucker and Whooves celebrated, glad that the baby was okay.
"I'm not a good man," Jaime said suddenly. Redheart looked at him."I killed my own king...and I pushed a child out of a tower because he saw something he wasn't supposed to see." Jaime remembered Bran Stark looking at him and his sister in the tower.
The Kingslayer then closed his eyes as he died.
Jaime then saw Eddard Stark's father and brother being killed by the Mad King.
He saw himself killing Aery's the second.
He thought of the time he spent with Brienne.
He remembered all the good times he had with his brother, Tyrion. He smiled for a moment, hoping that his brother was alright.
Jeela, Luna, Tucker, and Whooves walked to the beach in the morning. People at the beach walked over to them, looking at the baby.
Vanto looked at the crowd and noticed Cersei Lannister walking towards them. He quickly went over to her and told her what had happened to Jaime.
Cersei, who went to the caves after Vanto told her what happened, looked at her brother's corpse, tears falling down her cheeks.
Vanto stared at the ocean as he sat at the beach. He was alone until Luna walked over to him.
"I hear it's a beautiful, healthy baby," Vanto said to her.
Luna looked at him."Do you want to talk about it?"
Vanto looked at her."Talk about what?"
"Jaime died, Vanto." Luna said.
Vanto shook his head."He didn't die. He was murdered."
Luna raised an eyebrow."What?" Vanto got up and was going somewhere."Vanto, where are you going?"
"To find Tarkin." Vanto said.
