Harrahs' and glares of distrust followed Vanellope as she left the castle grounds. Nobody tried to attack or lash out at her though. If anything, it appeared as if some of the fans were happier then Vanellope thought, given the fact that the younger NPCs had hugged her on her way out. Huh, oddly enough, making these guys happy feels almost as good as completing my plan does. I'll have to make sure to keep my promises and to ensure that any laws I make are fairly reasonable.
Glitching back home, Vanellope hurried to gather up everything she would need for the racers. At Lodhi's chalet things had calmed down after everyone had heard what Vanellope had to say. Most were skeptical that the glitch was telling the truth. Those like Rancis, Kit, and Candlehead were visibly conflicted despite their usual distrust of Vanellope. And Sebastian was the only one who was completely swept away by the glitches speech and promises.
Fully believing that Vanellope was speaking the truth; regardless of the rumors and warnings Sebastian had previously heard over the years. No matter what side any of the guests were on though, it still triggered lots of conversation from playable and non-playable characters alike. Lodhi and his brothers Akio and Phipps were apart of the first group; unmoved or otherwise suspicious of Vanellope.
"Something is not right here. She is either lying or talking up the populous for some kind of agenda she has planned. Are you guys thinking the same thing here?" Considering the possibilities; Akio and Phipps nodded in agreement knowing that these theories were most likely the truest outcomes. "The question is what is her end goal here? Why does she want this chaos? Potentially dividing the kingdom and putting King Candy's leadership into question can't be something Vanellope is doing for the giggles."
It didn't make since; their had to be a motive to all of this and Lodhi had a feeling that he needed to find out. His natural curiosity and the ever present sickly feeling in his gut preventing Lodhi from ignoring or brushing off the issue. The only problem was that Lodhi didn't know Vanellope well nor did he knew where the glitch lived. So figuring out her motives and true feelings would be difficult unless Lodhi or someone he knew made contact and gained trust with Vanellope.
That is almost guaranteed to not happen. Even the less judgmental racers wouldn't willingly walk up to Vanellope and converse with her. Convinced by his assessment Lodhi sighed and began to focus on the world around him; sitting here worrying about things he couldn't yet solve was no way to behave especially when he could figure everything out at a later date. "Hey Phipps? Swizzle? When are you supposed to leave for that convention again?"
Eyes widening; Swizzle nervously whipped out his phone and frantically turned it on before his eyes scanned over the time. "Oh shit!" Swizzle exclaimed, shoving his phone back in his pocket before lightly tugging on Phipps wrist. "Phipps, come on, we gotta go! I'm not missing this trip!" Hurriedly checking his phone Phipps eyes widened upon seeing what time it was.
Clicking his tongue; Phipps shared a concerned and questioning look with his brothers. His exchange wordlessly asking Akio and Lodhi if they would be okay given the recent knew that occurred with Vanellope. Not wanting to ruin Phipps and Swizzle's trip; both of the brothers nodded and without waiting another moment Swizzle dragged Phipps towards the front door. "Seeya guys later! We'll send y'all pictures!"
Waving goodbye Akio and Lodhi watched as the pair walked out of the front door and closed it behind them. "Well I guess it's a good enough time to call for a break, huh?" Lodhi chuckled; glancing around the slightly messy room with the knowledge that him and his remaining siblings would have to fix up the place a bit before starting up another party. Giggling in agreement Akio nodded and with that conformation Lodhi called his guests to attention as he cleared his throat.
"Assuming that everyone has been finished their breakfast, please leave the premises. As discussed before Akio, Annie, Marcy, and myself will restock snacks and clean everything up before your all free to come back. Use this time to freshen up or get some rest and be back here at 5 for another blowout of a party!" Cheers erupting from the crowd; Lodhi smiled as his guests departed from his abode while he tried in vain to ignore the bad feeling stubbornly clinging to him.
Having gathered up everything she had needed and changed her clothing for a potential shindig; Vanellope gently knocked on the door. Trying her best not to shiver or glower under the gaze of dozens of undoubtedly hidden security cameras Lodhi had around the place. And I thought Shaman was meticulous with his dozens of locks on everything. It wouldn't surprise me if Lodhi himself had OCD at this rate. Or maybe Lodhi is just a man who likes his privacy, who knows?
Smiling at the sound of a clicking lock; Vanellope straightened her skirt and tightened her grip on the wagon's metal handle. "Hello! I heard that you lot are throwing a party! May I come in?" Biting back a snicker at the sight of opening door coming to a halt; Vanellope nearly jumped out of her skin when it suddenly slammed open.
"Y-You—What are you doing here!?"
Staring in disbelief at Akio the glitch was nearly rendered speechless at hearing the normally mute racer speak. During all the times Vanellope has seen Akio she had never once heard him talk; not even when his siblings were around him. For awhile Vanellope thought that Akio may have actually been mute or on the non-verbal side of the spectrum.
Turns out the glitch may have been wrong about her assessment but, if that were the case, then Vanellope needed to later figure out why Akio rarely seemed to speak. "Did you just talk? I don't think I've ever heard you talk before!" Blinking in shock and realization; Akio put a hand to his lips before he looked away with his face becoming redder by the minute.
Then, just as Vanellope though the man was going to turn her away, Akio grumbled under his breathe and held the door open for her. And as she walked inside the glitch smiled and allowed herself to be led and sat in the freshly decorated living room. "I'll go get Lodhi, he should know that you're here." Akio mumbled, with Vanellope nodding in understanding before glancing around the room.
It looked as though she was the first person to show up to the party and for that Vanellope was glad. This gives me the perfect time collect myself before things play out. Looking down at the circular bottles of glowing potion; ideas began to form in Vanellope's head. I may not know who my first victim or, hopefully victims, will be. But I wont lose my chance; the first opportunity I get I will go for it. Finally I can get the fun part started.
The party was now in full swing; the number of guests having increased by 2 times at minimum. Luckily Lodhi, Akio, and their sisters had guessed this would happen and had plenty of food for everyone. That didn't stop Vanellope though; who had chatted with nearly all the NPCs. Offering to give them flyers, buttons, sweets, or to pour some of her "buzzers" into their drinks to "give them a little extra flavor".
Satisfyingly, for the glitch, her efforts had been successfully; with Vanellope having managed to give away basically everything except for a few of her "buzzers". That went well. It took me longer to deplete the buzzers since I only gave a little bit to the male and female NPCs. If my hypothesis is right then giving them less means that the potion will only make them like and respect me; not love me. That love-struck courtesan fate is saved for the male racers and male racers only.
"Do you mind watching your step, glitch?" A voice suddenly perked up and Vanellope whipped her head around to see Rancis glaring down at her. Looking down Vanellope realized she had stepped on one of Rancis's shoes and removed her foot upon seeing that. "Thank you, hopefully for you that stunt didn't scuff up my shoes or you'll be paying to replace them."
Shooting a glare towards the glitch; the Reece's themed racer began to take his leave only for Vanellope to stop him. "What do you want!?" Snapping at Vanellope; Rancis crossed his arms and tapped his foot impatiently. He still couldn't believe Lodhi had allowed someone as uncouth as Vanellope join the party. Rancis would have to make sure to talk to Lodhi regarding his decision about the glitch.
"I'm so sorry, Rancis. Can I please make this up to you?" Questioned Vanellope, as she pulled out one of her elixirs and watched as Rancis's eyes curiously landed on what he thought was the "pretty" and "fashion-forward" color of the potion. "This is one of my buzzers. It gives your drink a sweet, bubbly, and spicy kick that is sure to go well with your drink that."
Motioning to the man's drink; Vanellope bit back her glee and lustful grin as she hide it behind a apologetic mask. Rancis was taking the bait, looking down at his flat drink and through the crowd he'd have to traverse just to refreshen it up. "It's not a guarantee, but I made these buzzers to also improve a person hair or skin but if you—"
Having heard and learned of Rancis's extreme love for hair, skin care, and fashion Vanellope decided to use that tactic to further convince the man. And luckily, that method worked as Vanellope was cut off before she could even finish her sentence. "Give me all of it." Rancis demanded, entirely willing to try a supplement that could improve his already impeccable looks.
Besides, even if the effects didn't come to pass, his drink would still get refreshed either way. And what's the worse that could happen? It's just a "buzzer" as Vanellope calls it. I doubt it can cause much, if any, harm. Unknowingly watching as Vanellope poured the entirety of her love potion inside; a small smile formed on Rancis's face. It really is a beautiful shade of blueberry.
