El Morro and his friends are now at the Beijing National Stadium. They are here for the opening ceremony as a matter of fact. It is the first time that that they participated for the Winter Olympics of course. They have been practicing for the games by the way. They will see the cauldron being lit. Let's hope that the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics will be a good one.
"Here we are." said El Morro. "The opening ceremony."
"That is a lot of fans here." said Sue.
"I am aware of that, Sue." said El Morro. "In fact, this is the first time that we been to the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics."
"We have been practicing for this." said Diana.
"I know, girls." said El Morro. "I hope that we can win some gold medals."
"I hope so too." said Nancy. "Time for the parade of nations."
They saw the athletes from Greece came out first.
"The athletes from Greece are here." said Brandi.
"They usually go first during the opening ceremony of every Olympic Games." said El Morro.
"I didn't know that." said Sue.
"Now you remember." said El Morro. "We are about to go next before China."
El Morro and his friends went to join the parade with the other athletes. Then, the crowd saw the athletes from China came out and the crowd cheered for them.
"Great to see the crowd cheering for China." said Diana.
They saw the Chinese athlete holding a torch entering the stadium.
"That former gold medalist from China is here." said Sue.
"He is about to light up the cauldron." said Diana.
"I see that now." said El Morro.
The Chinese athlete lids up the cauldron, and the Winter Olympic Games is finally underway.
"He did a good job on that." said Sue.
"He could've burned his arm if he wasn't careful." said El Morro.
"I am glad that it didn't happen." said El Morro. "Time to win some games."
