From the Madness Dimension, Madness Steve was observing the different infinite timelines of the realities. After observing the different timelines, Madness Steve thought of something that might be fun to do. Madness Steve has in mind of bringing back 2 infamous figures of darkness, one each from both reality.
One of them is the Pony of Shadows, who is standing where the Rainbow Kingdom used to be, just outside the entrance to the citadel of what used to be a thriving kingdom of steves. The Pony of Shadows was very confused. He didn't recognize where he was, and all he knew was that he was in a totally different reality and dimension all together.
"Where... am I?" The Pony of Shadows said to himself.
"Where the Rainbow Kingdom used to be," Said a voice. The Pony of Shadow looks to his right and sees a figure.
"Who are you? Did you free me from limbo?" The Pony of Shadows questioned the figure.
"I'm Shadow Sabre. And no, I haven't freed you from limbo," Shadow Sabre replied. He is familiar with the location they're both in. Seeing the destroyed citadel as well as being physical again only made him elated with joy.
"Anyway, who are you exactly? You're not from here, I can tell from the way you look," Said Shadow Sabre.
"Well, I'm the Pony of Shadows," The Pony of Shadows replied.
"So I take it you are part of the darkness?" Shadow Sabre asked. The Pony of Shadows nodded.
"I'm part of the darkness too!" Shadow Sabre said with joy, seeing there was a source of darkness outside from this reality right infront of his very own eyes.
"I assume we have a common goal? Take over the realm and bring despair on those that get in our way?" The Pony of Shadows asked.
"There is no need for that, when everything can just be one with nothing. No pain, no feelings, no light, just the darkness, everything... becoming one..." Shadow Sabre replied.
"I like your thinking Shadow Sabre. Shall we work together?" The Pony of Shadows wondered, who has a massive grin across his face.
"Yes, so we can make this world become one with the darkness, together! Finally! A reliable ally!" Shadow Sabre exclaimed as he shook the left forehoof of the Pony of Shadows with his right hand. Then several bolts of lightning appeared. A figure in a dark grey and black cloak appeared.
"Hello you two," The figure said as it looked at Shadow Sabre and the Pony of Shadow.
"Who are you?" Shadow Sabre and the Pony of Shadow questioned the figure in the cloak.
"That isn't of your concern," The figure replied.
"Were you the one who freed me and Shadow Sabre?" The Pony of Shadow questioned the figure. The figure nodded.
"The Pony of Shadows. You want revenge on the Pillars and the six who represent the Elements of Harmony for trapping you in limbo, right?" The figure asked. The Pony of Shadows nodded, slightly suspicious on how this mysterious figure knew about the mane 6 and the Pillars.
"Shadow Sabre. You want to get revenge on Sabre for trapping you in everything, one of the four corners of his mind, right?" The figure asked. Shadow Sabre nodded, with no questions coming to mind.
"Your enemies are together in Equestria. I'll teleport you somewhere in Equestria now," Mist said as he teleported Shadow Sabre and the Pony of Shadows to a random location in the Everfree Forest.
"Equestria. Ah, feels good to be back," Said the Pony of Shadows.
"Another reality to become one with the darkness. Interesting," Shadow Sabre responded.
"I need something called the Shadow Sword. I can't really do much without it. I thought it was going to be destroyed, but I can tell Sabre hasn't, because I can still sense it, because the sword is a part of me. I can sense Sabre. So, until we retrieve the sword, it is down to you at the moment," Shadow Sabre pointed out.
"I'll retrieve the sword, then we can engulf the entire realm in darkness! Then once we're done with this realm, we can do the same for yours!" The Pony of Shadows exclaimed.
"Yes, I'm looking forward, being one with nothing," Shadow Sabre gleefully responded.
"We should probably have a base of operations," Shadow Sabre said as he cleared an entire chunk of the Everfree Forest. Shadow Sabre created 2 chairs made of spruce wood. Between the chairs, there was a table made of oak wood that a map of Equestria on it as well. The ground was infected with Shadow Sabre's darkness, the ground partially being made of bedrock and black patches.
"I thought you relied on this 'Shadow Sword' to do anything," Said the Pony of Shadows.
"I still have some abilities. But, with the Shadow Sword... ha ha, you should see what I could do," Shadow Sabre responded.
"Right, we should get planning. We have all the time in the world to do so," The Pony of Shadows suggested. Shadow Sabre nodded.
It is now morning. Sabre, Time Steve and Light Steve had barely just got up. When they did eventually wake up and got out of bed, they were treated to a tray each with 8 piping hot muffins made by Derpy, still wearing the helmet Fluttershy gave to her. Time Steve got an additional 4 muffins.
"Morning!" Derpy loudly said.
"Morning... what is your name again?" Light Steve asked.
"Derpy," Derpy answered.
"Thanks for bring us breakfast, Derpy," Sabre, Time Steve and Light Steve politely said, trying to not yawn as they did just wake up.
"You're very welcome. I hope you all enjoy these muffins I made," Derpy responded.
"Oh, they're so good! They just taste like cake, but thousands of times better!" Sabre exclaimed as he began eating the remaining 7 muffins like a vacuum cleaner. Meanwhile, Derpy could only smile, satisfied that they liked her muffins. It made Derpy feel a lot better, especially from yesterday. Derpy then gave Time Steve 2 extra muffins.
"You get extra muffins Time Steve. You deserve them for making me feel better real fast," Said Derpy, who is absolutely grateful for Time Steve. Time Steve nodded as he ate the 2 extra muffins Derpy gave him.
"Derpy?" Said Sabre.
"Yeah?" Derpy replied.
"If you don't mind, who... was Dinky?" Sabre asked, but then immediately retracted his question.
"No... I'm sorry. I take that question back," Sabre immediately said afterwards, realizing how sensitive his question was, especially seeing Derpy looking down to the floor as he brought up Dinky.
"No... it's fine," Derpy replied, walking to Sabre.
"I loved her dearly. To me, Dinky was the world to me. She had the same colour mane and tail as me, but was pink all over her..." Derpy answered.
"Was she a pegasus too? Sabre asked.
"No, she was a unicorn. She got that from her dad's side," Derpy answered.
"From the moment I held her in my hooves in my hospital bed, I felt like I had everything in my hooves. Dinky was my angel, my little muffin. Dinky was everything to me. But then... that thing... the thing you call... M... M... Madness Steve... he... he killed Dinky... just to hurt me... I have lost what mattered to me most... Dinky... D... Dink... Dinky..." Derpy explained, before completely breaking down into emotions.
"He also destroyed my brother, Elemental. I share my pain with losing someone close to you with you Derpy," Time Steve responded, walking to Derpy and Sabre.
"Madness Steve is a completely sadistic mo- Hmm, monster is an understatement, he's something so awful that he's even worse than the Demon Steves by a landslide. We will stop him, Derpy. I promise to deliver that, and I will. If it means I'll be destroyed to take Madness down, then so be it! I'll take him down with me if I have to!" Sabre replied with a stern voice, putting his right hand on Derpy's shoulder. Derpy gently nods, knowing Sabre is being serious and meant it.
"Morning you four," Twilight politely said as she walked in with the rest of the mane 6 as well as an extra unicorn who has light pink fur and a purple mane and tail with a turquoise coloured stripes.
"Who's she?" Sabre asked, walking to the extra unicorn.
"She is Starlight Glimmer," Twilight answered.
"Hello, it is nice to meet you," Starlight said as she extended her left forehoof out. Sabre extends his right hand and shakes Starlight's hoof.
"It's nice to meet you too, Starlight," Sabre politely responded.
"Who are you three?" Starlight asked.
"I'm Sabre, this is Time Steve and this is Light Steve," Sabre quickly replied, introducing himself and the 2 steves to Starlight.
"Now Twilight, who is this pony you've told us that can help, which is mainly the whole reason we're in Equestria? Was it Starlight you were talking about?" Sabre asked.
"Well... she's a zebra, not a pony. Her name is Zecora," Twilight responded.
"What's a zebra?" Light Steve asked.
"Imagine us, but with black and white stripes basically," Applejack explained to Light Steve.
"Where's Discord- The crazy fella?" Time Steve asked.
"Oh, he probably went back to his place," Fluttershy answered.
"Are we all ready to go?" Sabre asked.
"Yeah," Everyone replied.
They all got out of the bedroom, walked down the stairs and out of Canterlot Castle. Everypony gave weird looks at Sabre, Time Steve and Light Steve as they never seen such creatures before.
"Hi everyone- Everypony I mean, don't mind us. Just coming through," Sabre repeated a few times as he's walking with everyone.
"What is this place called Twilight?" Time Steve asked.
"Canterlot, the capital of Equestria," Twilight replied to Time Steve. Nevertheless, they continued walking, with Twilight leading. They make it outside of Canterlot and walk down the path, down to the bottom of the mountain Canterlot is on. They then turn left, to the Everfree Forest.
Everyone had now been walking for about 12 minutes and are deep into the Everfree Forest. They then encounter a pack of 10 timberwolves, all charging towards them.
"Timerwolves!" Applejack shouted. Without hesitation, Sabre takes in some of the darkness from the Shadow Sword. Lighting is summoned on top of Sabre and he began levitating. Sabre then lit all 10 timberwolves on fire with fireballs. In top of that, Sabre summoned deafening lightning and more fireballs at the timberwolves, easily obliterating them.
"Uh, Sabre... you're setting everything on fire!" Twilight exclaimed. Sabre continued summoning lightning against the 10 now destroyed timberwolves until there is literally no trace of them even existing. Only then did Sabre calmly levitated back down to the ground.
"There, that should do it," Sabre calmly said.
"Yeah... and you kinda destroyed a large chunk of the forest around here in the process Sabre," Rainbow Dash slowly pointed out. Sabre then takes a look infront of him.
"Oh... whoops, ah ha... ha..." Sabre slowly said, looking at how much of the surrounding forest he destroyed.
"You're an arsonist?" Pinkie Pie questioned Sabre, who shook his head in response.
"No- Anyway, let's continue-" A dark circle formed infront of everyone and everypony. Then the circle started manifesting into the shape of a pony. It is the Pony of Shadows. The Pony of Shadows then grew a tentacle and reached for the Shadow Sword with it. The Pony of Shadow then snatches the sword out of Sabre's hand. Everyone then got behind Twilight.
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha!I'm afraid this is no longer yours!" The Pony of Shadows evilly laughed.
"I'm sorry, but what now!? Who are you!?" Sabre exclaimed, looking at the gigantic black shadow in the shape of a pony.
"How... we and the Pillars trapped you in limbo!" Twilight exclaimed.
"We defeated you once, we'll defeat you again!" Rainbow Dash also exclaimed.
"You can try, but this time, I have a newfriend," The Pony of Shadows replied as he chucked the Shadow Sword into a bush next to him. Then a figure that looked like Sabre, but a lot darker emerges from the bush, with the Shadow Sword in their right hand.
"No... it can't... it can't be!" Sabre stuttered in shock.
"Hm hm hm hm hm hm hm hmmmm.Oh Sabre, how nice it is to see you again," Shadow Sabre darkly and slowly chuckled with sarcasm.
"Shadow... how... how are you here!? I defeated you! I trapped you inside of my head!" Sabre exclaimed.
"That isn't of your concern, Sabre. I'm going to make you regret trapping me in your mind, that mess... everything... WHERE YOU LEFT ME TO ROT!" Shadow Sabre angrily shouted, instantly summoning several bolts of lighting, almost crippling Sabre. Twilight fired a beam of magic at Shadow Sabre, but the Pony of Shadows fired back with a dark beam of his own, pushing Twilight's beam back, away from Shadow Sabre.
Starlight then helps Twilight out by firing her beam of magic. Together, the combined force of Twilight's and Starlight's beam slowly pushed back the beam coming from the Pony of Shadows. Shadow Sabre then hovers in the air, hastily flies behind Twilight and Starlight and summons very powerful fireballs at them, with the impact of the blast from the fireballs sending them several metres into the air before they landed back onto the ground with a heavy thud. Shadow Sabre and the Pony of Shadow began laughing and chuckling.
"Pathetic! With me and Shadow Sabre, we're unstoppable! We'll soon plunge the entire realm into the darkness and everypony will feel despair!" The Pony of Shadows roared.
"We will stop you three! There's eleven of us and only two of you!" Twilight shouted. Shadow Sabre then began using the Shadow Sword again and summoned 30 darkness and 5 giant darkness.
"Like to correct yourself on that one Twilight?" Shadow Sabre laughed.
"How... how do you know my n... name!?" Twilight stuttered.
"It's simple. Me and Sabre, we're so different... but yet we have the same mind. We're the same, we are one," Shadow Sabre replied. Shadow Sabre then uses the Shadow Sword and the darkness he summoned disappeared.
"Sabre," Said Shadow Sabre, looking to the opposite version of him.
"You know, the darkness is always there, ready to take you in. Join us, and end all of this. No more pain, no more emotions, no more conflict, everything can become one. I'm gonna say this again, you're the one peace missing from the puzzle. I'm sure the Pony of Shadows won't mind you either," Shadow Sabre said to Sabre.
"Shadow, there's a bigger threat at large. This threat not just threatens us, but it threatens you as well as us, just please!" Sabre begged. Then another figure appeared, it is Madness Steve.
"Boring! You two weren't as fun and amusing as I thought it would be. Zero out of ten," Madness Steve sighed with disappointment as he instantly sent Shadow Sabre into the Shadow Sword. Madness Steve also sent the Pony of Shadows into the Shadow Sword, just to see more of how the darkness from both realities react with each other.
Starlight's horn then glowed light blue and lifted her forehooves off the ground before letting out a massive blue beam aimed directly at Madness Steve, intending to try and banish him. The beam hits him, but it does nothing. Starlight tries again, but it does nothing again. In response, Madness Steve summons off warning shots of lightning right infront of Starlight, which made her quickly walk backwards in shock.
"Enough of this, time to do what I have came here for!" Madness Steve exclaimed as he levitates Fluttershy towards him and getting out his sword at the same time. Twilight, Starlight and Rarity tried grabbing Fluttershy with their magic, everypony else tried to grab by her hooves. Sabre, Time Steve and Light Steve tried attacking Madness Steve with lightning, but it was no use. Madness Steve's power was too powerful. Fluttershy screamed and closed her eyes.
Just before Madness Steve was about to kill Fluttershy, Discord instantly teleports to the scene and lands a powerful punch onto Madness Steve, sending him flying into a tree and making him let go of Fluttershy. The yellow pegasus immediately ran and hid behind the rest of the mane 6 and bursted into tears. Everyone else then got around Fluttershy to comfort her and help her calm down and relax. Meanwhile, Madness Steve had massively angered Discord, not the best of ideas.
"Noponytouches myFluttershywithout going throughme!" Discord yelled, who was in an apoplexy of anger and rage. Discord then summons several flying balls of ice cream at Madness Steve with the snap of his eagle claws. Madness Steve then teleports behind Discord and summons a few strikes of lightning. Discord dodges this attack by simply splitting himself in half, then connecting himself back together again.
"Oh no..." Sabre gulped, seeing that both Discord and Madness Steve now began to hover, their eyes locked, glaring at each other, circling at each other. They then hover higher and higher until they were above the leaves of the trees in the Everfree Forest. Sabre began panicking and shouting at everyone else. Sabre saw the writing on the wall. Whenever 2 beings hover up and are looking at each other, they were going to fight. Both Discord and Madness Steve are extremely powerful. Things are about to get veryverymessy.
"We need to get out of here!" Sabre shouted as he grabbed the Shadow Sword that was left on the ground and ran off to a safe distance. Everyone and everypony did the same. Once they got outside the Everfree Forest, they could see Discord and Madness Steve, just glaring at each other. At first, it appears that they were talking, but that changes very quickly as Discord and Madness Steve began firing all sorts of random materials, matter and stuff at each other.
"We need to find somewhere to hide! NOW!" Sabre shouted.
"To the Time Dimension, again," Time Steve said as he teleported himself as well as Sabre, the mane 6, Derpy and Starlight to the Time Dimension. Time Steve then sets up the Interdimensional TV, trying to observe the fight from a safe distance.
