"No..." Sabre said faintly as did everyone else. The Town Hall was reduced to rubble, so too were the houses and all this rubble was on fire as well. The lake of water was now a lake of lava. The sky went from a bright colourful blue, to a dark hellish red, the clouds went from a calm white, to a restless black. Discord tried snapping his eagle claws to repair everything, but it wasn't working. They then look at where Madness Steve was when the mane 6 used the Elements of Harmony to turn him into stone just moments ago. He isn't there.
"Oh come on!" Rainbow Dash shouted, who is clearly very frustrated as everyone was. The mane 6 are easily the most frustrated, not even the Elements of Harmony are enough to stop to Madness Steve. If the Elements of Harmony wasn't enough to stop him, then what is able to stop this destructive, vindictive, ruthless entity? For a whole minute, there was silence. Never did they all have a foe that was ruthless, brutal on this scale with so much power.
"What do we do now?" Light Steve asked, breaking the silence.
"I'm... I'm sorry..." Twilight mumbled as she began to cry. Twilight had done well to keep her emotions locked in, but now, it had all become too much to keep in. Twilight now sat down on the ground, covering her eyes with her hooves.
"It's all... my fault..." Twilight mumbled more, now fully crying.
"How is it your fault? You done nothing wrong!" Light Steve exclaimed in response to Twilight.
"Yes it is my fault! I'm the reason Madness Steve knows about Equestria, because of the break I took and look at what he did! I'm the reason Spike is dead! I'm the reason Dinky is dead! I'm the reason that everypony is in danger! I'm the reason for all of this!" Twilight sobbed, leaving her only able to blame herself for everything.
"Twilight, no matter what you did, he would've likely found Equestria either way. Again, you couldn't of known any better, no one could. You didn't know any of this would happen, you can't blame yourself for everything. You've done everything you could've done, and that is what a good leader does," Sabre pointed out in a serious tone.
"You call this an example of BEING ONE!? No, I've been 'too exhausted' and took a break and LOOK WHAT HAPPENED! I just let everything just fall apart and THAT ISN'T BEING A GOOD RULER! Now the princesses are likely dead, almost everypony is likely dead, BECAUSE OF ME!" Twilight loudly said, unable to shout as it got harder to shout the more she cried.
"So is that it huh, just give up? Is this what Spike wanted you to do, just give up? You give up, giving up on us, your friends, your allies? If you're giving up, then that is exactly what you're doing!" Sabre exclaimed in a firm and harsh tone, but being fair and saying how he sees it.
"Twilight, I may not have known you for for long, but what I do know is that you're a lot stronger than this. We wouldn't of been able to know how get the essence without you using your abilities to help the Great Librarian regain his memories. We wouldn't of even got to Equestria and find out about the books on Madness Steve without you. We've came too far now to give up now. We have to continue moving forward," Sabre added, still in that firm tone.
"Yeah! We may get knocked down, but we always get up! No matter what!" Rainbow Dash loudly said in a motivating tone.
"We're gonna get through this together. We will stop Madness Steve, for Spike, and anyone else that had been destroyed by him," Sabre said to Twilight, sounding less firm, but still in a very firm tone. Twilight gently nods.
"Uh..." Derpy quivered, stepping backwards.
"He's... HERE!" Derpy screamed, who then went to hide behind Time Steve. Discord went to picm Fluttershy up and hold onto her for dear life, with her wrapping her forehooves around Discord. The rest just glared at Madness Steve, who is just floating in the air, looking down at everyone.
"You really think that would be enough to contain me!? Fools! That only delayed what is to come!" Madness Steve shouted, sounding annoyed.
"Please... have you... at least... spared anypony..." Twilight asked in a desperate tone, who is feeling destroyed, broken inside.
"All the beings of this reality are actually alive, surprising. I moved them out the way before I destroyed everything. I wanted to see them all completely broken and demoralized, heartbroken that their homes have been destroyed," Madness Steve chillingly responded.
"You're just a cruel monster!" Starlight shouted, stepping ever so slightly closer to Madness Steve, but trying to not get too close.
"Define 'cruel' for me. To me, this is entertainment," Madness Steve responded as blunt as he could.
"Entertainment? This is just a game to you, isn't it?" Sabre said with a noticeable growl in his voice.
"A game? No, I said entertainment, not a game," Madness Steve replied.
"What is it you're even trying to achieve? You say you could kill us all if you wanted to, but yet you choose not to. There's seemingly something in you that doesn't want to kill us, isn't there?" Pinkie Pie questioned Madness Steve, walking dangerously close to him, a lot closer than she should.
"What I'm trying to achieve is none of your concern... okay, fine!" Madness Steve shouted.
Madness Steve made everyone and everypony immediately unconscious. Madness Steve also made Celestia, Luna and Cadence unconscious, who were still at Canterlot Castle, trying to see what kind of magic Madness Steve is vulnerable to. Sabre, Time Steve, Light Steve, the mane 6, Derpy, Starlight and Discord found themselves in a lucid dream, all merged into one. All of them appeared to be standing on nothing, with the entire background being just lava. Then the entire background changed from being lava to just pitch-black, making all of them unable to see. They could then hear Madness Steve speaking.
"What I'm about to show you is what I'm trying to achieve," Said Madness Steve, who sounded even more echoey. Madness Steve then changes the background again. The background then shows Madness Steve's False Form at Stage 10 and opening the connection from the Madness Dimension.
"I am being contained in this dimension, which most refer it as 'The Madness Dimension'. This dimension was created by God Steve and all the infinite different gods to contain me. I'm above the concept of omnipotence and omnipresence, but God Steve is somehow keeping me in. As I'm above the concept of omnipotence and omnipresence, God Steve has to keep the connection closed otherwise I'd break out quicker than an instant!" Madness Steve loudly and eerily screeched, with a massive echo following afterwards. The screech was so bad that chalk scraping on a chalk board sound very smooth.
"When my False Form has enough power, I can open the connection from the Madness Dimension unopposed. Once that happens, then nothing stands in my way. No god or demon will be able to stop me. All the infinite different realities will burn and crumble apart. I'll destroy the 'old everything' and create a 'new everything', in my image. I'll then torture all beings from all realities for an eternity..." Madness Steve added, but in a lot calmer tone. Madness Steve then lets everyone wake up. With that, he just vanished, leaving Ponyville a blazing wreck.
"T... torture... for an... eternity... uh... uh... that sounds... not a whole lot of fun..." Pinkie Pie stuttered, gulping after she lost her words, speechless, stunned by horror as much as everyone currently is.
"What in the hay is he even saying? The meaning of omnipotence is 'all-powerful'. You can't be more powerful than omnipotence. How is such a thing even possible?" Twilight wondered, completely baffled to comprehend or even think about such a thing being possible.
"Yeah, his character has no clear motives, unclear backstory, kinda out of no where. He's too confusing to understand," Said Pinkie Pie.
"I don't know, but it doesn't matter. I think it's certain that if he don't stop him from leaving this 'Madness Dimension', we've basically lost. No questions asked," Sabre responded.
"Anyway, Time. Do you think you can reverse the state of Ponyville?" Sabre asked.
"Ponyville is a lot larger than even the Rainbow Kingdom when it was at it's peak. I don't think I can," Time Steve answered.
"Well, Discord, can you do something? You are more powerful than everyone else here," Sabre asked, turning to Discord.
"Well, I just tried doing that myself earlier, but it doesn't seem to be working. If I can't do it, Time Steve definitely can't," Discord replied.
"Well, as Madness is currently not here, do you think you can repair all of Ponyville?" Sabre responded with another question.
"Well, I can try," Discord said as he snapped his eagle claws. This time, it worked. All of Ponyville is fixed and back to normal. Discord even made it so that the regular Pony forgot what had just happened, even before he and Madness Steve fought, so they could get on with their lives as if nothing even happened in the first place.
"Huh, that's... odd, his magic prevents me from using some of my magic whenever he's around," Discord said slowly to himself in his head.
"Wait, I... uh I may have an idea!" Sabre exclaimed.
"Really? What is it?" Twilight asked, willing to try any idea to stop Madness Steve.
"What if there is a way for us to use some of Madness Steve's power and give him a taste of his own medicine!?" Sabre answered, completely thrilled by his idea.
"Discord's magic is so chaotic only he can use it. If Madness Steve's magic is more powerful than Discord's, then I can't imagine what it's like trying to control his," Fluttershy replied.
"Well... isn't that just brilliant," Sabre sighed.
"Just because Madness Steve has more powerful magic doesn't necessarily mean it's more chaotic. So the idea is there," Twilight responded to Fluttershy.
"We should probably get to looking for whatever these books are. We don't know how long it will be before Madness Steve does leave this 'Madness Dimension' thing he was on about," Starlight suggested.
"I suggest we should split into different groups," Time Steve added in another suggestion.
"We're not going to get anything done wondering about in one big group. Being in small groups, we can get more done, and it will save valuable time," Time Steve explained.
"I agree with you," Starlight replied, in agreement with Time Steve.
"That's a good point, Time," Sabre also replied.
"But Madness Steve will pick us off one by one far more easily though," Twilight pointed out.
"But Madness could instantly destroy all of us in one swoop either way. Not even your things with those elements stopped him. Splitting up, we can get more done. If he destroys us, he destroys us, there's no stopping him doing that whether we're in a group or not and whether he chooses to," Time Steve replied. Twilight understood and nodded.
"Yeah, Madness Steve even overpowered Discord. There's absolutely no way we're gonna beat somepony- Being or whatever with that sort of power without knowing his weakness... if he even has one," Said Rainbow Dash.
"Time Steve and Rainbow do have a point sugarcube. Unfortunately, friendship alone ain't gonna take down that brute," Applejack said to Twilight.
"I know... it's almost stupidly impossible... but, is it possible to reform him, even after everything he's done?" Fluttershy nervously wondered, expecting everyone and everypony to shun out her idea.
"Madness Steve has shown no remorse for what he's done though. He even joked and taunted about killing you darling! I don't think it is possible to reform him," Rarity responded.
"Madness Steve said he could kill all of us, but he hasn't. There must be something in him that is not making him want to kill all of us," Pinkie Pie pointed out.
"That's exactly what I was thinking. Maybe something very awful happened to him long ago, which may have caused Madness Steve to become the way he is now," Fluttershy responded, keeping an open mind on other ways to stop Madness Steve other than just destroying him.
"You think this could be another Stygian situation?" Pinkie Pie asked Fluttershy.
"Similar, but different- I don't know," Fluttershy stuttered with her reply.
"Okay, we now need to split up like Time suggested," Sabre jumped in.
"Which groups do we all split off into?" Light Steve asked.
"Okay, Twilight, try find any abilities that Madness may be vulnerable to. Also, you are the leader of this place, so when you have to return to your duties, you'll still be helping us by doing this. When you do go back to your people... ponies I mean, I need you to warn everypony about Madness," Sabre explained to Twilight. Twilight nodded.
"Discord, you'll be finding the books as you seem to be the only one that made sense of the visions," Sabre instructed Discord.
"Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity, Starlight and Derpy. You seven... hmm, uh... um, I'm not sure... wait, you seven can just help Twilight," Said Sabre, eventually coming up with an idea what the 7 can do.
"Time, I need you to look over all of us from the Time Dimension. If Madness is heading for any of us, you can go take us into your dimension where it'll be safe thanks to you blocking off all potential dark patches Madness could enter from," Sabre explained to Time Steve. Time Steve nodded.
"And Light, I need you go back and put the Colourless Guard on high alert, just ready to evacuate the steves. I have a bad feeling that Madness may soon start coming to each of the kingdoms," Sabre requested of Light Steve. Light Steve nodded.
"What will you be doing Sabre?" Starlight asked.
"I've got to go do something. But first I have go with Light to the Yellow Kingdom... oh wait you all haven't been to the kingdoms... ah it doesn't matter right now as I've not been to any of them yet either. I'll be back once I'm done," Sabre responded to Starlight.
"Light, I don't know where the Yellow Kingdom is, so you need to teleport us there," Sabre said to Light Steve. Light Steve then summoned lighting, teleporting himself and Sabre to the Yellow Kingdom, the one the Yellow Steves are currently living in.
Sabre and Light Steve are now at the Yellow Kingdom all the Yellow Steves are living right now. They are standing on a path made of stone bricks and andesite, just outside the outpost for the Colourless Guard for the Yellow Kingdom. Along the path, there are houses made of oak planks, spruce logs, andesite and cobblestone, most of the houses having 2 floors. To the right, a massive stone brick castle sat on a gigantic steep hill of stone, at least twice the size of Canterlot Castle, maybe even bigger. A bridge lead up to the castle that is on the steep hill, made of smooth stone and huge thick stone brick walls. Throughout the village, Yellow Steves are standing still, chatting to each other or on their own doing their own thing.
"Woah. So this is the Yellow Kingdom, huh? Ah, I never been here before," Sabre said to himself, amazed at the size of the Yellow Kingdom.
"Anyway... I, uh... I guess this might be it, for a while," Said Sabre.
"Yeah," Light Steve replied.
"Now we're here and not in front of... everypony let's say- I'm gonna be real with you man. We are all kinda relying on Discord right now. Only he had made sense of the visions and they're the only thing that's gonna be... useful really," Sabre continued on.
"Yeah, I agree with you. Not being rude or anything about the ponies though. They're very kind and polite, but they've tried basically everything they had against Madness and nothing worked. I doubt they have much left at their disposal to still use against Madness," Light Steve replied, nodding in agreement.
"Neither do we Light. Anyway, I got to go, I need to go do something. Light, I need you to make sure the Colourless Guard is on high alert, ready to evacuate all the steves. It's... uh, very likely that Madness knows where all the kingdoms are... maybe not the Re-"
"That place is meant to be a secret from everyone! Remember?" Light Steve hissed quietly, interrupting Sabre.
"Oh yeah... good shout Light," Sabre replied.
"Remember when times were simple?" Said Light Steve.
"Yeah, maybe once all of this is over, we can all relax and chill with the ponies, reflect on the past, and look to the future, where steves and ponies coexist, working together to become stronger and more connected," Sabre replied, visioning the possible future where steves and ponies exist.
"Yeah, I hope we can still talk to them, even after we have defeated Madness," Light Steve responded.
"Yeah Light, I hope so too. Okay, I've got to go. Good luck, Light, stay safe," Said Sabre.
"You too, Sabre," Said Light Steve. With that, Sabre used the Shadow Sword to teleport to Indigo Leader's tower, yet again. Sabre jumped down into the portal like he had done to get to the middleworld numerous times. He was then taken to the middleworld, where the Indigo Leader is often present at.
