"Woah... every building... is... is gone..." Sabre mumbled to himself as he looked around him, fire and rubble, not just in the village, but the entire area is on fire, lava and magma blocks everywhere. Sabre wept at seeing the Steve Village like this. The leaders of the village, they accepted him in when he was banished from all the different kingdoms. They took him in, provided him shelter and hospitality. Every building is leveled, fire is plentiful all around as well as completely pitch black blocks. These blocks aren't blocks corrupted by darkness, these blocks are much much darker than blocks corrupted by darkness. The dark night sky littered with distant stars all over only added to the unsettling feeling, it meant Madness Steve is most likely watching him. Sabre is also feeling some sort of odd essence coming from the blocks. The essence seems a bit like Madness Steve's essence. However, Sabre has to put his emotions to the side, for the moment.
"I should probably stay away from those," Sabre said to himself. He then looks at where the Green Village Leader's house used to be. The rubble covered most of the dark oak floor. Sabre is able to see a set of spruce trapdoors left uncovered.
"The Unnamed, he wishes to speak to me," Sabre spoke to himself yet again.
"Yes..." The same whisper responded, but slower and echoing for longer. Sabre opened the trapdoors and walked down the cold stone stairs. Near the bottom, the stairs are made of bricks, with a few of the stairs being made of granite instead of regular stone. Sabre reached the bottom and is now in a tunnel made entirely of granite, with a few patches of smooth granite here and there, with the floor being made of bricks. Sabre walked through the tunnel until he got to the underground room, where there is flowing water to his left, ahead of him. The entire room is made of granite, but some of the wall is also made of stone. There is also a hole in the middle, which is covered up entirely by leaves. But Sabre came here for another reason. He came to speak to the Unnamed. Whoever the Unnamed is, he's contained in a set of ancient-looking red armour, which four sets of chains is attached to the end of each limb of the armour, connected to a granite spike.
"Unnamed? You um... you wanted to speak to me?" Sabre asked the shackled red armour.
"Yes," The Unnamed replied.
"I sense it, I can tell something is out there. I ask you again. Do you not want the ability to change... anything you want?" The Unnamed asked.
"Wait I forgot, you, that was you- wait, no, I'm confused. I spoke to a version of you in my head, but you spoke the same. But that wasn't the real you," Sabre responded, confused at first that the armour had the same voice as the version of the armour he spoke to in one of the 4 corners of his mind, 'nothing'.
"I hear whispers sometimes, and that's you speaking to me, right?" Sabre asked the armour afterwards.
"Yes, I speak to those I deem worthy. Worthy of my knowledge, my power, my wisdom, my strength," The Unnamed responded back.
"You wanted to speak to me right? So, what? You just wanted me to beg for some kind of power or something? I'm sorry, but I'm not interested, it's not power that I want. I have the Shadow Sword, not like I need any other power anyways. I already have power," Sabre said to the armour as he turns his back to the armour, ready to walk out.
"Then what is it? What is it you seek? Answers? I can give you answers," The Unnamed responded, just before Sabre was about to walk out. Sabre stopped and turns around again to face the shackled armour.
"You have answers?" Sabre said as he walked closer to the armour, but still keeping his distance, not jumping over the flowing water, which is in between him and the armour, separating them.
"I've bumped into someone. He is called Madness Steve. Who is he? Tell me," Sabre asked.
"Oh... no. I will not give answers for free," The Unnamed replied.
"You must help ME first!" The Unnamed demanded, with a forceful feeling in their voice.
"I knew it, I knew you try and... I don't know!? Persuade me to do something for you back!? I don't owe you anything. I don't know who you even are! I don't even know why you're here!" Sabre exclaimed back in response.
"I... am the blessing upon the steves of this land. I gave them safety, health, and in return they would protect me. But as they are now destroyed, I'm now vulnerable," The Unnamed explained to Sabre.
"You sound way to calm, especially claiming that you're vulnerable. Why? Why have you been put down here, in chains, encased in some kind of armour? What happened to you?" Sabre questioned the armour, speaking a little bit slower with each question he asked.
"My burden... is not of your concern. You... you can solve that. But, I won't push that onto you. I want to help you. All you have to do... is help me just a little bit," The Unnamed replied, not wanting to go on the topic of their burden.
"Okay..." Sabre responded underneath his breath slightly, thinking whether he should help the Unnamed. If the Unnamed turns out to be evil, then not only does he and everyone have to deal with Madness Steve, they also have to deal with the Unnamed. But what if the Unnamed truly wanted to help? What if the Unnamed does have answers? Answers to defeating Madness Steve? Sabre then turns around, facing the armour again.
"Then what? How do I help you? What is it you want?" Sabre asked, waiting to here what the Unnamed needs help with before he does anything.
"Release one of my chains. Do it, and I'll answer anything you wish. I promise, I'll have the answer," The Unnamed replied.
"The... village leaders, they told me if I approach, if I make contact with you then that's it, I'm destroyed. I'm not gonna fall for that, okay? Heh, there's a whole graveyard out there dedicated to people that tried to do it! I'm not that dumb!" Sabre responded, going off with a tangent as he said his response.
"I won't release you from your chains," Sabre said to the armour, firm on his decision. He will not release the Unnamed from their chains.
"They... were not worthy..." The Unnamed replied.
"YOU are!" The Unnamed's voice boomed, sending some echoes through the tunnel, up the stairs and to outside.
"You are the only one capable of doing so," The Unnamed continued on, insisting on being released.
"Release me..." The Unnamed insisted, their voice echoing quieter and quieter until there came silence. Sabre looks at the shackled red armour for a few moments.
"You just said you wouldn't push your burden onto me," Sabre responded, adamant on his decision.
"All I ask is that you remove ONE chain. For every chain you remove, I will give you an answer. I cannot do anything if only one chain is removed anyways. You lose nothing," The Unnamed responded back, trying to convince Sabre into releasing a chain, but Sabre isn't convinced.
"Why am I worthy?" Sabre questioned the armour.
"Why only me, huh!?" Sabre questioned, louder than before. Sabre quickly looks at the exit behind him before facing the shackled red armour again.
"Why not anyone else!?" Sabre questioned even louder, almost yelling. He sighs a little bit before continuing talking.
"That's unbelievable! It sounds like you're tricking me so that I can end up like the rest of them! How do I know that you're not... absorbing souls and that's why they're destroyed, huh!?" Sabre continued on, now yelling.
"I have no interest in SOULS... not how you think," The Unnamed replied, their voice booming at Sabre.
"You must believe me," The Unnamed continued insisting on Sabre to get him to release a chain.
"You... are... the only one that can do this..." The Unnamed spoke out slowly at the start, but then speeding up their voice slightly.
"I've been waiting for you. ONLY you..." The Unnamed finished speaking. Sabre turns around to face the tunnel back to the surface.
"I'm sorry," Sabre said as he turns around and face the shackled red armour once more.
"I must listen to my friends. I will take their word over yours. Even though the village leaders are destroyed, they... they believed in me, they trusted me and I'll trust them. Unnamed, should you choose to speak to me again, I expect you to not be so vague. It isn't going to help anyone," Sabre said as he turns away from the armour and begins walking out of the underground room and to the stairs.
"Then this... Madness Steve... you don't want to know who he is then..." The Unnamed replied, his voice echoing, still trying to convince Sabre into releasing a chain, but Sabre is now firm on his decision. He will not release the shackled red armour.
"I may already have another way," Sabre responded, continuing to walk out of the room. He then walks up the stairs to the top. Sabre for a split second was taken by surprise of the surface, but quickly remembers that the village had been destroyed, by Madness Steve. Sabre takes in a deep sigh before closing the spruce trapdoors and walking off. Sabre walks along the torn-out path of stone, some of which had holes, fires still burning strong and these pitch-black blocks that is emitting Madness Steve's essence. Sabre leaves through where the entrance into the village would have been. He then sees a familiar pink pony ahead of him.
"Finally, the author is giving me more lines," Pinkie Pie said to herself.
"Pinkie Pie!? What are you doing here!?" Sabre exclaimed in a stern voice, slightly annoyed. But Pinkie Pie seemed unfazed.
"I just wanted to see where you were going, that's all. I also didn't like that you were going out here completely alone where 'he' could do scary things," Pinkie Pie replied, trying to put on a spooky voice with her second answer.
"Also, who was that thing you were talking to? That red thing chained up?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"You've been watching me this whole time!?" Sabre exclaimed. Pinkie Pie nodded, smiling at Sabre. Sabre sighs in response.
"How did I not notice you- ugh it doesn't matter. We should probably get moving," Sabre suggested.
"Yeah, now that you say so, we probably should," Pinkie Pie responded, agreeing with Sabre.
"Sabre!" A voice exclaimed, taking Sabre and Pinkie Pie by surprise, they turn around and see a Green Steve.
