When Discord teleported Sabre and Pinkie, they expected to show up at M's house. However, they were outside the observatory in the Red Kingdom, near where the rest of the mane 6 are. They could tell where everyone well are, because they could see Rainbow Dash hovering. Starlight is also there as well as Time Steve, Elemental Steve, M and most certainly, Professor Red.
"What happened here!? Professor, this place is a mess man!" Sabre exclaimed as he rushed up to the top, now getting a view of how much damage the observatory had sustained. He sees lightning strike in the middle as he rushed to where the door would of been.
"Your entire observatory was just destroyed! What HAPPENED HERE!?" Sabre continued to exclaim, louder than before.
"He... I... I did everything I could..." Professor Red answered, only able to stutter, not able to give an answer.
"Ah ha ha HA HA hawhawha ha ha! Ha HA HApwrahwahwahwahwaaaaahh!" Something loudly laughed in a echoey distorted tone, the echo dragging out for a few seconds, then it went quieter until no sound. The laugh sent chills into everyone.
"What... was THAT Professor!?" Sabre exclaimed, spooked by that laugh.
"Professor Red, ya got a lat av explainin ta do!" Applejack said with her serious voice to Professor Red, walking to him and giving him a frown.
"I don't know..." Professor Red replied to Sabre, under stress, walking away from Applejack, walking to the edge of the halved spruce-wood floor, the other half that was there, now being a several blocks fall to the entrance to the lab.
"I think ya do sugarcube. Ya were here when whatever happened. You're not telling us everything," Applejack responded, she could tell something didn't quite add up.
"How do you not know!? You were here when this happened! Tell us what happened, now!" Elemental Steve shouted at Professor Red, slowly stepping closer to him."You can either tell us the easy way, or the hard way," Rainbow Dash said with aggression in her voice, demanding Professor Red for answers, hovering closer to him.
"Elemental, Rainbow Dash and Applejack, chill. Also, I'm sure the people of the town are hiding in fear from this giant explosion and it's up to you Professor, to try and explain this to them man!" Sabre started of somewhat calm to now more panicky in his voice and just generally worried how the Red Steves will react.
"How are you gonna explain this to anybody?" Sabre asked Professor Red, slower-paced and deeper as he spoke.
"I'm glad me and Pinkie Pie showed up, but it's too late for us to do anything now," Said Sabre, not directed to anyone.
"Where's the Red Leader, huh!?" Sabre asked with a forceful and demanding tone in his voice, definitely directed to someone, which is Professor Red.
"The only thing I know right now is that the Red Leader... is gone," Professor Red replied, mumbling slightly as he did.
"WHAT!?" M shrieked, stumbling backwards in shock slightly, looking at Professor Red.
"Gone where?" Time Steve sternly asked Professor Red, stepping forwards to him.
"Listen!" Sabre said loudly, getting the attention of Time Steve, M and Professor Red.
"I know everyone's tense right now-""I don't know," Professor Red replied to Time Steve, interrupting Sabre.
"We're all trying to help, okay. Some, a little more crazily than others," Sabre said as he looks to Professor Red before looking back at the damage done to the observatory.
"But it doesn't matter, what happens now is that we need to figure out what to do next," Sabre finished. Sabre then looks to Time Steve
"And what do you mean RED LEADER!? Y'know, I'll ask later," Time Steve yelled at Professor Red before calming himself down.
"Listen, Time, I know you are pretty heated too okay, we all are. This is a very dumb situation!" Sabre exclaimed.
"We get it Sabre! We know this is bad! We don't need running commentary every second!" Rainbow Dash responded to Sabre, getting more worked up.
"STOP!" Fluttershy shouted. She wasn't the one to shout, therefore getting everyone's attention almost immediately.
"This is getting too heated. Please, lets try to keep this civil," Fluttershy said with concern, getting in the middle of Sabre, Time Steve, M and Professor Red.
"Is this connected to Madness Steve, Professor Red? Did he come back and do this? Do you at least know that?" Twilight asked.
"No, I... I don't know, so much is going on right now," Professor Red answered in the same voice."Listen, I know each of you are pretty heated right now, we all are. Like Fluttershy said, let's try keep things civil," Sabre said to everyone in general.
"Maybe... it could be because... we're all tired?" Starlight added into the conversation, who had kept quiet throughout this situation, hinting towards that they should leave.
"I tried my best to save him," Professor Red said in distraught.
"I believe you Professor, okay, I believe you," Sabre responded to Professor Red, looking at him, so he could tell that Sabre understood that he tried his best to save the Red Leader.
"But now, you two," Sabre started off, looking at M and Professor Red, to get their attention.
"You two are the only Red Steves that can maybe put a little control on the situation," Sabre said to them.
"Darlings? Aren't the Red Steves not meant to know we're here?" Rarity reminded everyone.
"You're right, good shout Rarity. We don't have any information about this. But what we do know is that, like Rarity said, the Red Steves aren't meant to know we're here. Me, Time and most definitely the ponies aren't Red Steves. If we're seen by the people, the Red Kingdom will believe that they've been attacked, which is true! But we can't let them know that yet, not without the full information okay," Sabre spoke out a whole paragraph, adding onto what Rarity said.
"Wait, is he gone, or missing Professor?" Time Steve asked.
"Time Steve, if he knew, I think he would've said something by now," Starlight replied to Time Steve, trying to lift the mounting pressure off of Professor Red."Yeah, Starlight is right, Time. I don't know if he even knows too much right now, it seems like he is also just as confused, at least I think," Sabre said to Time Steve, adding onto what Starlight said.
"I don't know. I'm confused about all of this too. He's not here, that's all I know," Professor Red responded.
"Everyone, we need to get out of here, okay," Said Sabre.
"Right, for now, M, Professor, listen to me," Sabre said to get the attention of the 2 Red Steves.
"You, Professor, have to clean this situation up as fast as possible," Sabre said as he looks at Professor Red before he turns to look at M.
"And M, you have to take a temporary roll as the leader of this kingdom. There's no other way right now," Sabre said to him.
"We'll try and calm the people down while you're all gone," M responded.
"It's not just that," Sabre responded back, looking back towards the entrance before facing M again.
"Your kingdom, it's been in isolation for as long as... well, anyone can even remember. I mean, the entire outside world thinks you guys are extinct! You have to lead this kingdom for now man, until we figure out what's going on with the Red Leader, okay. You were his apprentice. I don't know this kingdom, but I'm sure you do," Sabre explained more clearly to M.
"What? I'm no leader!" M exclaimed in response, feeling a massive load of pressure put onto him.
"M, I know a few that may be able to help you," Twilight said calmly to M, walking over to him.
"I don't know wha- how- uh-"
"I can also help you Apprentice," Professor Red responded, cutting M off from finishing, which only added more pressure onto him.
"M, you'll do fine," Said Time Steve, stepping forwards towards M.
"We need to get out of here before Red Steves come up here. Everyone follow me," Sabre said firmly, not quietly speaking, not loudly yelling, just talking normally, but loud enough for everyone to hear and get their attention. Sabre began to walk out of the entrance, Time Steve, Elemental Steve, the mane 6 and Starlight following him.
"M, I promise, when it is day, I'll introduce you to them," Twilight said as she quickly turns around to tell M before regrouping with everyone else. Time Steve was about to take everyone back to Twilight's castle in Ponyville through the Time Dimension as he has Equestria's coordinates saved into his Interdimensional TV, but Sabre again using the Shadow Sword, creating lightning as he did, teleporting them all back to the castle, directly. They are back at the table, where they all were, just again without Spike and Dinky, and now, without Derpy. Spike, Dinky and Derpy as far as they all know, have been taken into that sword Madness Steve uses, slowly and painfully being absorbed until there is nothing left of them and they cease to exist.
"Wait, um... Sabre? How did you do that?" Twilight questioned Sabre. He was able to teleport between realities, which she thought he couldn't do so without the help of the Indigo Leader or by going through the Time Dimension.
"Yeah, I was about to ask that too," Time Steve responded.
"Sabre, what can that Shadow Sword actually do?" Starlight now began asking Sabre questions too.
"I'll explain in a bit, but it doesn't matter. Now is not the time," Sabre eventually responded, trying to avoid talking about the truth behind the Shadow Sword.
"Sabre, come here, I want to talk to you quickly," Time Steve requested quietly to Sabre. They walk out one of the green doors, shutting it behind them.
"What is it Time?" Sabre asked.
"It's about the Shadow Sword," Time Steve replied.
"How were you able to teleport here directly? Equestria isn't from our reality," Time Steve asked.
"I don't know. When I saved Elemental, Spike and Dinky, I teleported ourselves to Ponyville, where the Town Hall is. I first thought that um, Indigo may of been able to connect our realities together or something which may of been able to allow me to do so. Then Spike asked along the lines the same thing. Now I actually don't know how," Sabre explained.
"Do you mind if I check the time states of the sword? I promise I will give it back to you. You don't have to, but I might be able to see what's up," Time Steve requested and gave an explanation to why. Sabre agreed and hands the Shadow Sword to Time Steve. He looks the sword, which is in his right hand, holding his chronometer in his left hand. Time Steve then gives the Shadow Sword back to Sabre.
"There's a foreign source of darkness in the sword. The source of darkness is from this reality. As you have been to locations from both as well as having a source of power that comes from both, that might be allowing you to do so. I personally... I personally would suggest you speak to Twilight and her friends about it," Time Steve explained before suggesting to Sabre on what he should do.
"No, I can't, Time, I can't. What if they start no longer trusting me, huh? I don't want to have to go through the same thing when I was banished from all the kingdoms man. That was pretty rough," Sabre responded.
"But, they'll try to figure out about the sword anyway, and they'll be more mad that I didn't told them. But they'll be mad anyways, because of me using the darkness. I don't know man, this is a catch twenty two," Sabre added onto his response.
"They might be able to explain about that foreign source of darkness. If they try to take the sword off you, try not to hurt them. Just teleport away from them and meet me at the waypoint. But I will leave this decision to you Sabre, I won't force you to say anything. I'll let you choose at your own pace, okay," Time Steve explained to Sabre.
"Okay, but not now. I can't let them know. I don't want everyone... well, everypony panicking about the darkness. We can't let them know what the sword truly is. Now is not the right moment, this moment at least," Sabre responded, lowering his head, looking to the floor.
"I know you mean to do good. I'll always trust you. Things may seem different, but in the end, you do it, because it is for the better good for everyone. I'm here for you Sabre," Time Steve reassured Sabre.
"Thanks man, I appreciate it," Sabre responded.
"Let's regroup with the others," Said Time Steve. Sabre nodded as the 2 walk through the door again, regrouping with Elemental Steve, the mane 6 and Starlight.
"Hey everyone, we're back," Said Time Steve.
"Hey Time Steve and Sabre," Fluttershy responded.
"So what do we do now? We can't just sit around here and do nothing," Pinkie Pie sighed.
"Yeah, we can't just sit here and do nothing. We have to do something, you know. I mean, we can't do anything for the Red Kingdom, but I feel like we gotta help. We can't just sit here and relax," Sabre responded to Pinkie Pie.
"Yeah, I agree with ya Sabre. Also, somethin ain't right with Professor Red. He ain't telling us everythin about what happened to their leader," Said Applejack.
"I was also thinking the same too, Applejack," Time Steve responded.
"If only we could triangulate the best solution- wait," Time Steve was speaking before he thought of something.
"What? What is it?" Sabre immediately asked Time Steve.
"You have an idea on how to find him?" Starlight asked Time Steve.
"Two words," Time Steve responded in quick succession.
"That doesn't tell us anything Time Steve. What do you mean by 'two words'?" Rainbow Dash asked, hovering over to him.
"Interdimensional. TV," Time Steve answered, dragging out his response.
"What do you- oh! You mean the TV in your dimension. I get it now, that's a good idea!" Pinkie Pie was about to ask a question, but quickly realizes the idea of using the Interdimensional TV.
"Elemental, come with me. We might be able to find him quicker together," Time Steve said to his brother. Elemental Steve nodded as they teleported to the Time Dimension together. Sabre let's out a sigh before he sits down on the floor.
"What's wrong Sabre?" Fluttershy asked skittishly, worried that she might bother Sabre in some way. A lot has went down and everyone is all heated, which is making Fluttershy feel very nervous.
"I'm fine Fluttershy, but, I still don't get how the Red Leader isn't able to heal himself. I thought that the more powerful the people, the faster they could heal, the more- I don't know, the better they could handle these things. I suppose it is Madness Steve, he is stupidly powerful, but he didn't use full force on the Red Leader, it was just lightning, which isn't that hard to heal from. Why couldn't the Red Leader heal on his own?" Sabre replied.
"I'll explain what Professor Red told us Sabre," Twilight replied, walking to Sabre.
"If I remember along the correct lines, Professor Red said that they all use redstone. Not just any old redstone, he said that the redstone they use have advanced properties and that the Red Steves use it to extend their lifespan. But this caused a side effect that doesn't allow them to heal properly. So going off that, the older the Red Steve is, the worse their ability is to heal. He then told us that he needed his entire lab to himself. So we went to M's house for a bit. Then we heard an explosion and lightning, so we headed to where that was coming from. Then you came back," Twilight explained to him.
"Also, where did ya go Sabre?" Applejack questioned Sabre.
"I spoke to someone, but they were vague. But then I met an old friend of mine. He took me to his house and gave me this book," Sabre replied, getting out the book Therapist Green Steve gave him.
"Anyways, this book, it tells us how to defeat Madness Steve!" Sabre exclaimed, finally, at last, the solution to deal with Madness Steve. The mane 6 and Starlight surround Sabre as he opens the book up, reading it along with him.
(A few minutes of reading later)
"Wait, so we gotta try get more of his essence?" I ain't gonna lie Sabre, but I don't think he'll fall for it again," Applejack gave in her judgement on the plan.
"We don't need to," Sabre responded as he got out the 20 glass bottles of Madness Steve's essence he still had on him and laid them onto the table in the middle of the room.
"We should wait until it is the morning and get some rest. Madness Steve is probably gonna be out there, somewhere," Starlight suggested. Sabre and the mane 6 nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, I'm gonna go spend some time alone," Sabre said afterwards.
"Okay, we'll go to our rooms. Do you know where the rooms are Sabre?" Rarity asked.
"Yeah, at least I think," Sabre replied.
"I'm going to stay here Sabre, so I can show you where the rooms are for when you come back, just incase," Said Starlight.
"Thanks, I just need some fresh air to myself or something," Sabre said back. The mane 6 then went to go to their rooms, opposite where Sabre is going. As soon as Sabre walked through the green doors and turned around and closed them, he heard 6 suspicious lightning strikes, then an even more suspicious explosion. He then turns around and sees Madness Steve standing there, looking down into a large crater, fire, magma blocks, lava and them pitch-black blocks surrounding the edges of it.
"Madness Steve?" Sabre gasped to himself. Madness Steve looks up, now looking at Sabre, not saying anything.
"What... what happened here? What is this?" Sabre questioned himself, walking to see what's in the crater. In the crater, he sees the mane 6, covered in burns, bruises, wounds and a lot of blood. All of them are dead, lying in the crater.
"No..." Sabre gasped again, but louder.
"No no no no no!" Sabre exclaimed, getting louder each time he said no.
"Madness Steve... WHAT DID YOU DO!?" Sabre shouted, glaring at Madness Steve.
