"Madness Steve... WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" Sabre shouted at him. Madness Steve didn't say anything back. Sabre quickly looks down into the crater. The mane 6 are still down there, all of them dead and lying in it.
"No! No! No! No! No! No! This can't be happening!" Sabre exclaimed, stumbling backwards before turning around, running back to the green door.
"I... I need... we..." Sabre mumbled to himself, heavily breathing, absolutely panicking on what to do.
"STARLIGHT! STARLIGHT!" Sabre exclaimed and shouted twice, opening the doors and running to Starlight. The unicorn gave a confused, but concerned look on her face.
"This is BAD! THIS IS REALLY BAD! WHERE ARE YOU!? STARLIGHT!?" Sabre exclaimed, running in zig zags, not thinking straight, trying to see where Starlight is.
"I'm... here, is ev-"
"NO! NOTHING IS OKAY! THIS IS IMPORTANT! THIS IS BAD!" Sabre exclaimed, panting, running to Starlight and shaking her with his hands. Starlight definitely now knew something is very very wrong.
"Okay okay! Show me what happened! Let's go!" Starlight exclaimed, who is also now panicking due to how much Sabre is panicking.
(Sabre's POV)
"OKAY STARLIGHT! COME ON! LOOK!" I shouted very quickly, running through those doors with Starlight. I can't believe this! Madness Steve, he destroyed Twilight, and Rainbow Steve- Dash... I don't know why I keep mixing them up, probably that they're first names are 'Rainbow' I suppose- But Twilight and her friends... they're... they're gone... no...
"I'm sorry," I said as I quickly turn to Starlight before turning back to face the right direction.
"Madness Steve came here..." Sabre carried on shouting, turning around to continue running.
"...and DID SOMETHING VERY- bad... what?" I continued shouting, but when I look to where he saw Madness Steve and the crater with Twilight and that, they were no longer there. I could only stutter, confused and now not knowing what's going on now.
"He... he... was right here... but-"
"Uh... Sabre?" Starlight slowly responded, interrupting me. Starlight is now very confused.
"I'm telling you, I'm telling you. You have to believe me. He was right here! He destroyed Twilight and her friends in... there was a crater of destruction..." I continued on, looking at where the crater was before walking quickly back to Starlight. I'm certain of what I just saw... but, this can't be happening... why why WHY!?
"Sabre... I suggest... you sleep-" Lightning began to summon, interrupting Starlight. Time Steve came back.
"I came as quick as I could!" Time Steve exclaimed.
Time Steve! Thank goodness you're here man! Madness Steve... he was here, he w... he went completely crazy! I promise! I saw it! I know what I saw! I... I'm not going crazy!" I continued. Seeing that crater... that, was something.
"Let me sense the time states of the area," Time Steve responded.
"Okay sure yeah maybe if that'll actually help out I don't know," I responded back, completely shaken with shock and panic from what I saw. Time then went over to where I saw the crater. I see Time hover up slightly, using his chronometer in his right hand. He then hovers around the general area where the I saw the crater, checking the time states of that area.
"Well, what have you got?" I asked Time Steve. I now began to walk back and fourth a few meters. I began to get a little antsy.
"This can't be happening- I promise- That... that I saw him man and Twilight and her friends!" I continued on. Seeing Twilight and her friends in that crater... they're... they're so kind! They didn't deserve any of this! All they were doing was trying to help...
"Nothing," Time Steve answered.
"Nothing!? You s- But I saw you... check! Are you sure!? You didn't miss it or anything!? Time!?" Sabre exclaimed, getting louder.
"Maybe Madness Steve could be messing with you?" Starlight theorized.
"No... it- It seems different to how Madness would mess with us. This... it feels different..." I replied. This... it didn't feel like Madness, it feels something... something different. I don't know what, all I know is that it isn't Madness doing this.
"But why? Why did I see it then?" I began questioning himself.
"Sabre, nothing has happened," Time replied to me questioning myself.
"Okay. Maybe nothing did happen. Your right. Maybe... maybe I saw something," I responded. I'm still feeling very on edge. What if Madness destroys Starlight, or Time, or Elemental and who else!?
"But why? Why did I see something? I know I'm not crazy- Maybe I did see something, but there has to be a reason to it," I added on, questioning myself on what's real and what's not.
"I don't doubt you saw something," Time Steve responded.
"But what? What could it of been?" It... it- look, I'll explain to you what I saw okay-"
"Maybe it's just shock?" Time Steve said his thoughts on what it might be.
"No, no- I mean yes, I was like a little shocked that Madness Steve attacked the Red Leader and stuff. But-"
"Like a hallucination?" Time Steve asked me if it was that.
"No," I replied, looking away and shaking his head before looking back to Time Steve and Starlight.
"Sabre, get some rest. Maybe it will help," Starlight suggested, sounding a little anxious, walking backwards, away from me. I don't blame her. I get that she was feeling anxious, especially with what I told her what I saw. Maybe I am hallucinating, and Time and Starlight can tell I am.
"No, I can't rest," I responded to Starlight.
"Yes, the Red Leader was injured by Madness and I do blame myself a little. I accept that, okay. There's not... there's not a reason... that could be connected to what I just saw man! This was... real, okay, I saw Madness standing over there over a crater and Twilight and her friends was down in the crater and he destroyed them! There was fire magma there was- He had- He had gone crazy. But he didn't speak, I- I don't know what else to say about it man... and pony," I ranted on, as much as I didn't want to believe it, that may of just happened. Madness may have destroyed them, and I have to move on and continue moving forward. I must not let Madness cloud my emotions, as much as I just wanted to break into tears, I can't, because Madness is still out there, and there's no telling what he's doing right now. He may be going round, destroying more ponies, or steves- Ugh I don't know anymore.
"Maybe some sleep will do something," Starlight continued suggesting to me, but I feel like sleep won't do anything.
"Assuming he isn't already ha-"
"Look. Whether he went crazy or not, I know what I saw," I interrupted Time, who was responding to when I told him that I saw Madness go crazy. I get he was trying to joke, trying to lift my mood, but this isn't really something to joke about.
"Sorry, not the time," Time Steve apologized to me.
"I mean... I know it's healthy to joke and... you know, try and enjoy your life every now and then. But, you've got to believe me man, okay. I saw Madness here, and maybe it was me hallucinating," I responded. I now began to realize I may actually be hallucinating, but what, or who is doing this?
"We believe you," Time Steve responded.
"Then why did I see it? There has to be a reason to it, Time and Starlight. If it happens once, it'll happen again," I asked Time, but questioning myself.
"Okay, maybe we can-"
"What? Are you saying you might have an idea as to what we could do about all this?" I butted in, looking away before looking back as he was speaking.
"We can try and use the Time Dimension," Time Steve suggested to me. Maybe Time Steve is right, I might be going through shock and I might be hallucinating. Maybe Starlight is right as well, I might need rest too, but I can't, not until we figure this out. So much had to just go down. Spike, Dinky and Derpy were taken into this sword that Madness Steve uses, then Madness attacks the Red Leader, then the observatory, then that... laugh, and now, these hallucinations. But I can't rest, not after what I just saw. Seeing Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity in that crater... so bloody and all- Ugh, I don't want to think about that right now- But wait, when Madness tried to destroy Fluttershy that time, in the Everfree Forest, Discord stepped in and defended her, as well as all of us, even though it meant that he could've possibly been destroyed if he took Madness Steve on. Yeah, he may of done it for her, but we would've been in big trouble if Discord hadn't stepped in either way. If that was real, why didn't Discord step in this time? Obviously he really cares about Fluttershy, but why not intervene for her then? Maybe- I don't know, but it all has to be real- I don't know anymore. Time may have an idea to get to the bottom of this. Right now, it's best if I listen to him.
"What do you mean? You saying that we can use it as some kind of... test? If I'm hallucinating here, I won't there? Is that what you mean?" I asked him. I didn't exactly know what Time meant by using the Time Dimension. Why can't he just check me, my time states or whatnot here? But I'm sure Time knows what he is doing. After all, he is a pretty smart guy. Not just that, he's always been by my side, despite everything that had happened with the darkness, he had always tried to be by my side, even when nobody trusted me. He has always trust me, and I'll always trust him.
"I don't know. I can try," He replied to me.
"I... I feel like this... this hallucination or something, it's gonna continue. Something doesn't feel right. Maybe if we go to the Time Dimension, it could stop. If it continues there, then it'll mean whatever's happening isn't connected to this world. I- You're right, let's go," I agreed with him. Now thinking about it, I really do hope I'm just hallucinating. However, we can't be for certain yet. We need to go to the Time Dimension.
"No promises, but yeah," He said back.
"We'll be back, go fill in the others," Time said to Starlight. I see Starlight walking back into that room, then through the door that Twilight and that walked through on the other side before I saw them in that crater.
"Let's go," I said. Time then began to teleport us to the Time Dimension, summoning lightning as he did.
Me and Time are now in the Time Dimension. I see Elemental over by that Interdimensional TV, probably still looking for the Red Leader. I then look back at Time.
"Now we just gotta... see if that hallucination, or whatever happened to me when I saw Madness, can affect us here- I mean- I don't know. It only happened once, so it's not like I can actually see when it's gonna happen again, should it ever happen again," I continued with my conversation about what I saw. I then turn around, facing where Elemental is at, but still talking to Time.
"You know what I mean-" I see something bright at the top of my eyes. I look up and something doesn't seem right, or at least what I think. Time as well as Discord did go over to make sure that Madness could not access the Time Dimension. But its not as if Madness can't teleport normally, he obviously can. But this is definitely not him doing this though, it's something, or someone else. Everything seems more colourful than it should be. The top and bottom is like... very bright, in the middle, the glass is red and the walls are different shades of blue.
"Woah," I said.
"Yeah sure, let me do a few scans on you as well, your time states and whatnot," Time continued on, as if everything is perfectly normal when everything is clearly not! Time began to walk to the right side, then I began to follow him. Before I could ask Time if he notices anything different, I see Elemental walking to us... but, he isn't himself... he's a Demon Steve!
"Elemental! Stay back!" I shouted at him. I began to walk back, away from Elemental.
"This isn't happening! I'm seeing things!" I repeated to myself. I turn around and began to run. I can't believe Elemental is a Demon Steve now! The Demon Steves, they're in the world below- wait, I didn't turn off the portal! Wait no- wait, it turns itself off anyways... there's just no way any of this is happening! It can't be!
"Are you okay?" Time Steve asked me. Clearly I'm not! Now Time looks like a Demon Steve too!
"Are YOU TWO okay!? Both of you are Demon Steves!" I yelled, turning around as I did. I then turn back around, walking away, quickly. Time and Elemental continued following me. I don't get it! The Demon Steves, they're... they're in the world below.
"No?" Time Steve slowly replied to me, sounding confused.
"NO!?" I exclaimed back at him. I began quickly walking backwards, almost going in a full circle around the Time Dimension.
"No! No no no no no no! Don't come near me!" I shouted at them. I was about to get the Shadow Sword out, but what if I am really hallucinating? I can't do anything to them! They're my friends! They may now be Demon Steves, but I can't use the sword on them! If I have to use the sword, I'll have no choice but to, but only as the very VERY last resort.
"Sabre, please!" Time yelled back to me. He began to sound upset.
"Time! Elemental!" I yelled back to them a few times.
"Just stop! I'm seeing some... CRAZY things! Okay! I can't believe you're both Demon Steves! There's no way both of you are! There's no way that any of this is real! Are even you two real?" I carried on yelling. I just want all of this to stop! This is all too much!
"Sabre, it's just in your head," Time Steve said to me.
"If it's in my head, then how do I know that you're even here!? How do I know that I'm even here in the first place!?" I questioned him, keeping my distance from him as well as Elemental.
"I'm real Sabre. Here, have a cookie," Time replied, tossing a cookie at me, onto the floor.
"No! NO!" I shouted, stepping away from the cookie Time threw onto the floor.
"Time, Elemental, if you're both real, then take me somewhere else to make sure it is! Not here! Take me somewhere- like the Town Hall in Ponyville! This is all too much! However, we can confirm it there!" I demanded them. I feel bad that I'm telling at my friends... but they're Demon Steves. But, if they can teleport me, it will confirm that this is all another big hallucination, and I can apologize later.
"Okay?" Time responded, stepping towards me.
"Just don't come near me! Do it from there, okay! Take us to Ponyville!" I demanded. Maybe, everything will be back to normal when we get to Ponyville? I hope so.
"Okay..." Time responded, who began to teleport me, summoning lightning as he did.
(No longer in Sabre's POV)
Sabre is now by the Town Hall in Ponyville. However, things still didn't seem right. The clouds look like the clouds back in their reality, and the sky is a pinkish shade of colour. The sun is a square, like in their reality. Nopony is also to be seen around.
"Okay nevermind! The hallucinations... they're getting worse! Am I really at Ponyville or is this another hallucination like it was with Madness!? They're getting stronger, they're getting worse!? If this truly isn't real, then... this is very well done..." Sabre stuttered to himself.
"Time!? Please! If you're there, I... I just want to go back home, okay! Please help me! Anypony here! Hello!? Where is everypony!? Why is this even happening!?" Sabre begged, who began to cry slightly. All of this is getting way too much. Sabre then hears lightning behind him. Sabre turns around and sees a grey pegasus with a blind mane and tail, who has bubbles as their cutie mark, and has caramel-coloured cross eyes.
"Derpy? Is that... is really you?" Sabre gasped.
"It's your fault I'm gone, Sabre. This is your fault! Maybe staying away from the Red Steves would of not caused all this to happen! THIS IS YOUR FAULT!" Derpy shouted, who sounded very angry. Sabre is stunned, this was definitely not the Derpy he knew. The Derpy he knew was this very loving, very friendly and very innocent pegasus. This Derpy though, is full of spite, anger and hatred.
"Derpy! Please! I tried my hardest, okay! I'm sorry!" Sabre exclaimed, stepping back, away from Derpy. Then lightning began to summon to the right of Derpy. A steve appeared, with the colours of a rainbow. Sabre has not seen him in such a long time
"Rainbow Steve? Is that you?" Sabre said in disbelief. Rainbow Steve and Derpy, in unison, began to walk closer to Sabre.
"STAY AWAY FROM ME!" Sabre shouted, screaming almost at Rainbow Steve and Derpy. Rainbow Steve began summoning lightning. He now looks like when he was just an Orange Steve, but with some of the rainbow still on him, which almost looks like cracks in his body.
"Why are both of you here!? What is happening!" Sabre exclaimed.
"Heh heh heh heh! Oh Sabre... well, you should know what's happening," A familiar, shadowy voice said behind him.
"Shadow?" Sabre gasped slight as he turns around, to see Shadow Sabre.
"Shadow, is this you. Is this your doing?" Sabre questioned Shadow Sabre, getting annoyed.
"No, no no, I wish though," Shadow Sabre replied.
"But, this is so very real. Look around you. You're in Ponyville. Rainbow Steve and Derpy have come for their revenge, and here I am, out of your mind... WHERE YOU LEFT ME TO ROT!" Said Shadow Sabre, shouting towards the end.
"Shadow... no no no! This can't be real... I refuse to believe any of this is real! This was like when I saw Madness, it's a hallucination. But, was Time and Elemental even real? Did they bring me here or is this... not truly Ponyville?" Sabre questioned himself, looking around him. He looks at Rainbow Steve and Derpy before looking back at Shadow Sabre as he began speaking.
"It's all real Sabre. Everything you're seeing is falling apart infront of you. You think you're finally pulling it together, but inside of your mind, it's a mess, and it always has been. You left me in there... you left me in that mess Sabre. That's why I wanted nothing, and now, you'll witness your true nightmare!" Said Shadow Sabre, sounding excited as he said 'you'll witness your true nightmare'. As soon as Shadow Sabre stopped speaking, lighting began to be summoned behind Sabre. He turns around and sees a Yellow Steve hovering, but they had red eyes, and the bottom half of their body is completely covered in darkness. The top half also has some darkness.
"Nightmare Steve? Has he been doing this- NO! He was destroyed a long time ago! There's no way-"
"There is a way! You will lose! All of everything you've ever worked for will fall apart! And then, right when you think you've lost everything, you'll witness the rest disappear before your very eyes-"
"No! No no! No- STOP!" Sabre screamed, looking up into the sky, having enough of whatever is going on, whether it is real or not.
"Ha hawrhawrha hawrwrha hawrha haaaa!" The same laugh, back at the observatory at the Red Kingdom. That echoey and slightly distorted laugh. Sabre looks down slowly, to see that Rainbow Steve, Nightmare Steve, Shadow Sabre and Derpy had disappeared. Sabre now only sees a red figure with purple marks over their body. They had no mouth or nose, only a single red eye, which is outlined with black. This made Sabre massively jump in shock.
"WHO ARE YOU!? Stay away from me!" Sabre exclaimed, stepping away from the figure.
"Oooooh Sabre. This... Iwiwi beeneen waitinging for this! Oooooh... you're just so easy to mess with, ha ha! Hellolowowowo Sabre. Youyou can call mememememe... Hypnonowowo Stevewvvvvv," The figure responded, with a distorted, eerie echoey voice.
