I decided to rewrite this chapter. I felt like this chapter wasn't well written. So I decided to tweak this chapter here. I hope you all like it.
A lot has happened during this past week. Two realities collided, an interdimensional monster being responsible. Beings from both realities teamed up to defeat this monster, and they did. But so many had fallen, and everything that had happened, changed their lives, forever.
After mourning for those that had fallen to Madness Steve, Discord went back to his dimension. Finally, the whole Madness Steve situation was dealt with. Even though there's a lot left to do, everyone just needed a moment. A lot went down and everyone needed a break to take in and come to terms with everything. The mane 6 and Starlight went back to their homes. Sabre, Professor Red and Assistant Steve followed Twilight back to her castle in Ponyville. Professor and Assistant Steve went through the portal that took them from the castle back to the lab in the Red Kingdom. Sabre requested Twilight if he could stay around in Equestria, which Twilight said yes.
Twilight and Sabre:
A week passed since Madness Steve was destroyed. During the week, Sabre had mostly been helping Twilight with stuff usually Spike would help with. Twilight couldn't stop saying to Sabre how grateful she was to have him as her friend. Sabre said the same thing back. Both really got along with each other. The first day, Twilight was back to running Equestria with her own hooves. The first thing she addressed upon her return was what happened. She announced to all of Equestria she'll be making a public speech in Canterlot at midday. She didn't want any fillies attending the speech, not so much she didn't want them to know about him, it was more of if they did know who he was, they'd be of interest to Madness Steve. She especially didn't want the CMC knowing about Madness Steve either. The CMC are close to the mane 6, and they'd be of extra interest to Madness Steve if he does return. Twilight just wanted to play everything safe until it has been confirmed Madness Steve was gone for good. What happened to Dinky must not be allowed again. In the speech, she explained to everypony about another reality full of beings called steves. She explained about the things that had been happening, the one responsible was Madness Steve. She also stated the ones who were lost in the fight against him. The news of Spike being dead as well as Derpy being potentially dead as well hit the minds of ponies hard the most. Almost everypony knew who these 2 were, and hearing they were gone, it really did hit hard. Twilight even compared Madness Steve's actions to Grogar's levels of evil. She ended the speech with 'Everyone who was lost are still here in our heart. Everyday, we will remember what they fought for, their friends. They selflessly sacrificed themselves so their friends could live another day.'
Rainbow Dash:
The first pony Rainbow Dash spoke to was Spitfire. Spitfire, who attended the speech at Canterlot, understood what Rainbow Dash must of went through. Spitfire offered Rainbow Dash if she needed space and time away from the Wonderbolts, she could. Rainbow Dash being her usual self, said she wasn't going anywhere for too long and that it was great to be back. But Rainbow Dash did ask Spitfire if she could quickly check on Scootaloo and her parents before she came back the next day, which Spitfire agreed, and even said take as much time she needed. Spitfire was usually never this lenient. Even in dreams, Spitfire was never lenient. But Spitfire decided this was a reasonable exception. Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo met at Sugarcube Corner for a catch up. The Blue pegasus just wanted to make sure her younger close friend was okay. Scootaloo said she was doing fine, and that nothing happened while she was gone. Rainbow Dash almost started explaining about what happened, but quickly stopped herself. After the catch up with Scootaloo, Rainbow Dash went to visit her parents. Her parents were just relieved that their daughter was still alive. Rainbow Dash said she was fine and she needed to just calm down, which was both true and false. Rainbow Dash asked her parents if she could stay over for the night, which they instantly accepted. Her mum and dad did ask their daughter if she was feeling okay, as it wasn't like her to ask to stay over the night to 'calm down'. Rainbow Dash kept saying she was okay, which her parents didn't think much of. They knew their daughter was very stubborn in this regard, and for her to ask to stay over already meant so much to them, so they didn't want to bother her. After sleeping at her parent's house, the light blue pegasus immediately joined back with the Wonderbolts.
Applejack:
Applejack was at Sweet Apple Acres with her family, doing what she usually does at the farm, harvesting apples and constantly working. Her big brother, Bic Mac, and her grandma, Granny Smith asked if she was okay. Applejack replied say yes every time. Apple Bloom asked where she was. Applejack said she was helping someone with a few things, which technically wasn't a lie.
Pinkie Pie:
Out of the mane 6, Pinkie Pie was the quickest at coming to terms with the recent events. She carried on with running her Cupcake Business as usual. She tried to be happy as much as she could, as being happy helped Pinkie Pie cope.
Fluttershy:
The day after Madness Steve's defeat, Fluttershy and Discord had a tea party. But before they started, there was a knock on the door. Fluttershy went to answer it. It was Sabre, who asked if she was okay, as other than Twilight, he hasn't seen the rest of the mane 6 as well as Starlight. Sabre explained to Fluttershy that Twilight told him where she lived. Fluttershy reassured Sabre they are okay, and said it was sweet of him to ask. Fluttershy explained to Sabre she was having a tea party with Discord, and that he was welcome to join as well. Sabre accepted, and walked into the cottage. He said it was a lovely place to live in, which Fluttershy thanked for the compliments. Discord snapped his lion paws and creates a wooden chair for Sabre to sit on, at the round table that's beside the window, on the other side of the door entrance.
Discord said it was nice to have an extra guest, which Sabre said thank you. Fluttershy's pet bunny Angel was skeptical of Sabre, and stayed hidden, away from him throughout the time he was there. Sabre shared a bit with Fluttershy and Discord how he met the steves, and that he actually wasn't from that reality, which Fluttershy thought was interesting, and which Discord already knew. He also talked about that he was helping Twilight with things as Spike wasn't there. Fluttershy and Discord said to Sabre he had a good personality. Fluttershy and Discord then talked to Sabre about how they were really good friends, and different ponies Sabre would get on with. Even though with every to that happened, they tried to enjoy their time, knowing Madness Steve was no longer bothering them. After an hour long tea party, Discord went back to his dimension, but Sabre stayed for a bit.
Sabre said he was thinking of Time Steve, and how he wished he could check on him. Fluttershy understood, but she knew Time Steve wanted to be alone. Fluttershy said she was sure that Time Steve was okay, then said we have to respect Time Steve's wishes, if he wanted to be alone, he can be alone. Sabre agreed, and asked if she could ask the rest if the mane 6 as well as Starlight if they were okay before he left. Fluttershy said she will, and thanked Sabre for coming over to check on her. Sabre then started heading back to Twilight's castle in Ponyville.
Rarity:
Rarity was the most stressed out of the mane 6. Her boutique was shut for the whole week. Even with Madness Steve gone, and everything somewhat calmed down, something still didn't feel right. Her younger sister, Sweetie Belle asked if she was okay. Rarity replied with she was just stressed, but she was fine. Sweetie Belle wrapped her forehooves around her older sister. As Sweetie Belle went to let go, Rarity asked her little sister if she could stay like this for a bit longer, which Sweetie Belle did. Sweetie Belle said that she was gonna go meet up with Apple Bloom and Scootaloo later on. Rarity was okay with that, but she warned her to not stay outside when it's night time. Sweetie Belle asked Rarity what she would do if she stayed out at night. All Rarity answered to that was "It's not me you would be scared of".
Starlight:
She didn't do much over this week. Starlight went to meet up with Trixie outside the School of Friendship, and then met up with Sunburst at Sire's Hollow a few days later, but that was it. She wanted to respect and let her friends have their space. She also needed some of her own space.
After the week passed, Sabre, the mane 6 and Starlight met outside the Town Hall. They had their space and time to come to terms with what happened. The mane 6 and Starlight wanted to at least do something for Time Steve. Rarity suggested making a coat for him, as something for him to remember Elemental Steve by. Sabre suggested they could go and try meet with the Orange Steves to help, as they're all about creativity, and they most definitely can help make this coat very special. But they have to leave the coat outside the waypoint once made, as there was currently no access to the Time Dimension.
Sabre hasn't been to the Orange Kingdom before, and as Light Steve had put the Colourless Guards on alert since Madness Steve came about, he should've been around the Orange Kingdom at least once. Sabre uses the Shadow Sword to teleport himself, the mane 6 and Starlight to the Yellow Kingdom. Everypony was amazed at the stunning beauty of the Yellow Kingdom. They all then met up with Light Steve at the outpost and a single elite colourless guard. The guard requested to take their helmet off just this once, as they haven't seen Sabre for a long time. Light Steve agreed, and gave that guard permission to take their helmet off. When the guard took their helmet off, they were a Yellow Steve, but not any Yellow Steve, but the Yellow Steve that Sabre used to hang around with a lot. He was that Yellow Steve that used to wear the leather chestplate all the time, and he became an elite guard for Light Steve. Light Steve talked a little bit to the mane 6 and Starlight about the Colourless Guard, but he didn't go onto why it was formed, as it was a bit personal, for Sabre's end. Sabre told Light Steve that they defeated Madness Steve, but during the fight they lost Elemental Steve, Time Steve is grieving over him, and they wanted to make a coat for him, with the Orange Steves. Light Steve understood and they teleported the 8 to the Orange Kingdom.
Sabre, the mane 6 and Starlight were left in even greater awe with the site of the Orange Kingdom. They were standing on some kind of stand with a roof, made of spruce slabs, supported by beams made of quartz. Near the top where the beams supported the roof, there were Orange Steve banners. The floor was made entirely of stone bricks, with a stone brick staircase in one of the corners, which lead to a path made of cobblestone and regular stone. There was bamboo around the edges of the ground, by a lake of water. There was also 2 bridges, one to the left and the other to the right, made of spruce, with dark oak edges. The one to the left lead into the kingdom. The bridge to the right lead to the leaders house, away from the main part of the kingdom, separated by a lake of water. The piece of ground they were all on was somewhat a rectangular shaped island, a very small one.
Waiting there was the Orange Leader. He hasn't really heard about the whole Madness Steve drama, and him seeing the ponies for the first time... there was a lot of explaining to do. Sabre spent a good hour or so, explaining to the Orange Leader what had went down, and all that. After the explanation, the Orange Leader took a few moments to let all of that sink in. He couldn't believe that just moments before the village was destroyed, he was there, in that house. Sabre then explained what they were all doing here, to the Orange Leader. The Orange Leader thought it was sweet of them for what they wanted to do for Time Steve. He went into the kingdom to find the right Orange Steve for this task, and then comes back with one. It was Happy Orange Steve. Both Sabre and Happy Orange Steve were elated to see each other again. He wasn't the only one to come though. A pink pig came over as well, who Sabre immediately recognized, Gerald. Fluttershy began translating to Sabre what Gerald was saying. Sabre was a little confused by this, as he didn't know that Fluttershy had an ability that allowed her to speak to and understand animals, which she explained. Happy Orange Steve then began to lead everyone to his house as they crossed the bridge on the left hand side. Meanwhile, the Orange Leader stood at the stand, looking around at the kingdom, at how far the Orange Steves had come.
After crossing the bridge, Sabre saw a memorial, which he walked to, and saw a figure on top of some stone. It was a memorial of Rainbow Steve, Sabre's closest friend, who was destroyed by Void Steve. Sabre looked at the memorial for a few minutes, to pay respect to his friend. He also reflected on the different adventures they had back then. He wished that he could've saved his friend back then, but he knew that Rainbow Steve was now resting peacefully in the world beyond. Even if he was still here, he wouldn't want him to see the horrors Madness Steve had caused. Sabre shifted his focus from Madness Steve, to thinking back on the adventures they had. There were ups and downs of course, but they were fond memories, back when everything was so much simpler, before all these demons, the Unnamed, interdimensional steves and all that kind of stuff. Sabre then regrouped with Happy Orange Steve, the mane 6 and Starlight. Luckily Sabre didn't have to explain, as Happy Orange Steve already explained to everypony about Rainbow Steve. Fluttershy and Gerald had been talking. Gerald wanted to know how she understood him word for word. Fluttershy explained to Gerald she had a pet rabbit named Angel, back at her cottage, who she often talked to. She also talked to Gerald that she often talked to animals.
Happy Orange Steve took them over another bridge, leading into the heart of the Orange Kingdom. Rarity couldn't help but kept saying the kingdom was very beautiful and that the Orange Steves had done very well building it. Twilight meanwhile offered Happy Orange Steve a little tour around Ponyville, who accepted the offer, but he needed to do help with things after helping in making Time Steve's coat. To the left, there was a docks, and to the right was this gigantic Palace. Gerald told Fluttershy that Palace was his. She didn't entirely believe him. Fluttershy asked Sabre as well as Applejack what they thought. Applejack said that it was so dumb that it had to either be the most honest truth or the biggest lie. Sabre agreed with Applejack, surely that massive building on the hill wasn't Gerald's. Fluttershy kept saying that Gerald was insisting it was, and he could prove it. Sabre then told Gerald maybe another time, as so much had went down these past few days. They walked down the stony path, walking past some very lovely buildings. Rarity said to Happy Orange Steve that she'd like to visit the Orange Kingdom again at some point. He said that the Orange Steves wouldn't mind, and that she was more than welcome to visit anytime.
They continued walking down this path for another minute or so, until they reached a house, in a spruce forest, like a cottage. Happy Orange Steve's home looked like the Orange Leader's house, just smaller. They all got inside, and sat around a birch wooden table. Happy Orange Steve asked what kind of style they were going for the coat. They thought of using the same coloured coat Time Steve currently wears, but with different coloured buttons, except that the arms of the coat would look similar to Elemental Steve's arms, and on the back had the signature of everyone. Happy Orange Steve opened up a nearby chest, which was by the front door. He then came back with some brown dye, 3 gold nuggets and a lot of string, as well as 2 sticks for everyone. Happy Orange Steve asked everypony how they hold things. Twilight, Rarity and Starlight don't have that struggle as they simply use their magic, but they wanted to use their forehooves, to make it more special and show they truly cared. They all began to nit the string together, as well as tying up the gold nuggets to the string, into a coat. Once they did, Happy Orange Steve got some red, orange, yellow, blue, light blue and cyan dye, to colour the arms to make them look like Elemental Steve's. First, they dyed the left arm red, and then dyed the right arm blue. After they did, they put the orange and yellow dye on the the red arm, the light blue and cyan dye on the blue arm. After that, they finished Time Steve's coat, but Happy Orange Steve disagreed, his creativity kicking in. To make it more fancy, Happy Orange Steve dyed the wrist sleeves, the collar and the surrounding edges of the coat, black. Happy Orange Steve then suggested to the mane 6 and Starlight they could paint the symbols on their flanks onto the coat. He was talking about their cutie marks. They thought it was a good idea, and so they did. The cutie marks of Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Applejack were on the front of the right arm. The cutie marks of Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity were on the left arm. Starlight's cutie mark was on the front left side of the coat.
Starlight then brought up whether they should put Derpy's cutie mark on there, a very silly question, it was an obvious yes. Sabre's head shot up as he heard her name being mentioned. It just came to him, Derpy could still be out there! However, they had to add the finishing touches to Time Steve's coat. Derpy's cutie mark had 7 bubbles, so the mane 6 and Starlight did a bubble each, on the opposite side where Starlight's cutie mark was. Then everyone signed it, while Happy Orange Steve then went back over to the chest, and got out a purple shulker box, and popped it down. Once everyone signed it, Sabre had carefully put the coat into the box, and then picked it up, putting it into his inventory. They all said thank you to Happy Orange Steve for his help. He told them whenever they need him, they know where to find him. Sabre said he'll take the box to the waypoint. He walked out of the house and then teleported there. After a few minutes, Sabre came back. He said that their next task is to find Derpy, whether she was dead or alive, they had to find her. However, it was getting late, and Happy Orange Steve offered that they all could stay at his house, with everyone being tired, agreed to. Happy Orange Steve placed down 8 orange beds for Sabre, the mane 6 and Starlight to sleep in. Sabre took off the armour he was wearing, and put it deep into his inventory. They settled in bed for the night, and so did Happy Orange Steve.
