Chapter 15

"Hold still!" Blaine said as Mercedes fidgeted once more trying to see herself in the dress he put together for her.

It had been three weeks since the blow up with Penny and now she was about to get married. Blaine refused to see what he designed and this would be her first time even seeing the gown but she knew she didn't have to worry because Kurt was already sniffling so she knew it was beautiful.

"If you start crying, I will too, so stop!" Mercedes said looking at her best friend who was trying hard to fight his tears but failing.

"You look so beautiful Mercy-me…" Kurt said, placing a hand over his heart and smiling. "Blaine, you really out did yourself!"

"I tried… now just one more button, there. Now you can look." Blaine said growing teary eyed as well.

Mercedes took a few seconds to gather her strength before she turned and gasped seeing herself in the mirror. The dress was beyond words. To say Blaine outdid himself was an understatement. The satin white gown clung to her curves like a second skin.

The off the shoulder sheer sleeves had ivory lace flowers scattered delicately down her arms. The flowers gathered together in a beautiful pattern for her bust/corset which then flowed down to the puffy lower part of her gown.

"B this…this is perfection. I never knew…" She stopped trying to maintain her tears. Mary and Angela walked in and froze in their spots seeing Mercedes.

"Oh my goodness!" Both women said in unison before rushing over and hugging her.

"Mercy… look at you." Angela said, allowing her tears to fall down. "You look stunning!"

Mary shook her head smiling and crying as well. "You're going to give my son a heart attack, my goodness you look amazing!" She said.

Mercedes fanned her face so she wouldn't cry. "I have to put my shoes on… where's Izzy?"

Mary smiles. "She and Chloe are with Quinn and Stacey getting dressed. Wait til you see her, she looks like a princess."

"Oh I bet she does… I have something for her. I want to give her a gift before we walk down the aisle." Mercedes said rummaging through her bag until she found the bracelet she'd gotten for Izzy a week prior.

"Everyone decent?" They heard before seeing Jonah poke his head inside with his eyes closed.

"Yes, you can open your eyes, daddy." Mercedes said, smiling before she saw her father's face. "Daddy don't you dare…"

Jonah looked at his daughter. "Baby girl you look…there are no words to describe how beautiful you are at this moment. I am so proud of you."

Mercedes moved closer to her dad. "Thank you daddy. You ready to walk me down the aisle?" She asked smiling up at him.

"My sweet little girl is getting married… I have to give you away huh?" Jonah said, getting choked up.

"Yeah, but I'll never truly be gone, you know that right?" She said, chewing her bottom lip as she turned towards the mirror again. "Is this really happening? Am I really getting married?"

"Yes you are and you're marrying a great guy." Jonah said, still in awe of how beautiful she looked.

"I love him, I truly do, and I love Izzy, I am the happiest I think I have ever been."

"This is all that we have ever wanted for you. Now let's get the finishing touches together so that we can get this wedding underway."

Sam grabbed his tie making sure that it was straight as Stevie clapped his shoulder. "You nervous?"

Sam shook his head. "Nope, I was meant to be with Mercedes."

"And you don't think that Penny will have an issue with you doing this? Still can't believe she signed the papers."

Sam looked at his little brother. "Lets just say, my Mother in Law is freaking amazing and scary. Penny no longer is my wife and has no rights to Izzy, so Mercedes can legally adopt her."

Stevie laughed, shaking his head. "You know now that you are getting married, and I am getting married its time to see who can have a baby first right?"

Sam sighed. "We are not doing that?"

"Why not? Cause you know Jane and I are gonna pop out five before you guys even think of another one?" Stevie laughed.

Before Sam could speak Stacey walked into the room. "I hope you guys are decent in here."

She smiled seeing her brothers in their tuxes. "Well don't you two look handsome?"

Sam smiled looking over his sister. She and Quinn both wore beautiful red off the shoulder dresses, with sheer lace surrounding it. Blaine had truly outdone himself. "Stace, you look beautiful. How Blaine got all of these dresses together on such short notice."

"He is the best. And did I hear you and Stevie talking about having more kids?"

Sam smiled. "Mercedes and I want to start immediately and Stevie, who isn't even getting married until Valentine's Day, has decided he wants to see who will have a baby first. I mean I already won because of Izzy."

Stevie rolled his eyes. "Okay, but Izzy doesn't count considering that we all raised her anyways. So a new bet now."

Stacey sighed. "You two are so juvenile, plus I already won the bet anyways."

Sam scoffed before freezing. "Wait…are you and Artie? Are you pregnant?"

Stacey smiled with a big wide smile. "Yes, we were going to tell everyone at brunch tomorrow but I couldn't wait, you guys are gonna be uncles!"

Sam pulled his sister into his arms and smiled hugging her tightly as Stevie joined in.

"Fine you win, but Jane and I are gonna have twins so I am gonna win that way!"

They laughed as the door opened and Dwight walked in. "Oh Lord, why are you three hugging?"

Stacey smiled. "I caved and told them about the baby."

Dwight smiled. "My boys are in love, my baby girl is having a baby, I am a happy man. Now let's get you married Sam before Mercedes wises up."

Sam laughed and hugged his dad. "Stace, can you do me a favor? Can you take this to Mercedes?"

Sam handed his sister a letter and a jewelry box. Stacey smiled. "That reminds me, this is to you from your bride."

Sam took the gift box and smiled, opening the letter. He read it to himself hearing Mercedes' voice as he did.

"Dear hubby to be...i love knowing that in a few hours we will officially be man and wife. You and Izzy are everything that I have ever wanted. I know I was scared when Penny showed but I promise that was the last time I wouldn't fight for you, fight for us. I love you, love everything about you, you are smart, kind, hardworking and oh so loving. And God Sam you are such an amazing father. Can't wait to see you at the end of the aisle. I'll be the one dressed in white."

Sam smiled opening the gift box and saw a 14 carat gold Rolex submariner watch, on the back she put the date and 'To the Keeper of My Heart. I love you.'. Sam smiled, removing his old watch and replacing it with the one she gave him.

"Come on y'all it's time for me to marry the love of my life."

Stacey knocked on the door before walking back into Mercedes dressing room. "I have something for the bride to be!"

Stacey beamed, handing her the box and letter.

Mercedes grabbed it and smiled reading the letter first.

"I was never one to believe in love or fate, never one to believe that there was one perfect person for me. After Penny I just…I gave up and focused on my daughter. Then I met you. The moment Princess Tiana walked into my party I was a goner. I don't make a move or even dance with people but you, you stole my heart in that moment. My only regret is that we didn't meet sooner. Izzy and I are in agreement our life is so much better with you in it. I love you and can not wait to make you my wife.

PS look on the back, Izzy wrote something for you."

Mercedes flipped it over and smiled seeing Izzy's handwriting.

Hi mommy! I can't wait for you and daddy to be married! I'm so happy I picked you to be my mom. We're gonna have so much fun and I can't wait for my new brothers and sisters! I love you!

Mercedes shook her head trying to fight back the tears she was feeling. Opening the gift she gasped happily. Sam gave her a beautiful oval locket. On the inside was a photo of her and Sam, and a photo of her Sam and Izzy. On the back was inscribed. 'You are my home, I love you"

Yep that did it, she was gonna cry, and there was nothing she could do about it.

"Okay none of that! It's time." Kurt said, quickly dabbing her eyes and doing a quick touch up of her make up. "We'll see you out there!"

"Oh goodness… it's really happening." She said, smiling at everyone in the room. "I'M GETTING MARRIED!"

Sam stood at the end of the isle, trying to calm the nerves that ran around in him. He wasn't nervous about Marrying Mercedes, but he was nervous about what would happen when he saw her for the first time. He could barely keep his hands off of her on a normal day.

Stevie patted him on the back. "You ready for this big brother?"

Sam turned and smiled. "I was ready the moment I met her, I just had to get her there."

Stevie nodded as he looked over to Jane. "I would think you were crazy if I hadn't met Jane. Who would have thought Izzy's Christmas wish would have granted mom her wish as well. Marrying off her two sons."

Sam smiled. "I was surprised at the whole Jane thing too, but she is really good for you."

"I couldn't agree more. I am gaining two very amazing daughter's." Dwight said standing next to his sons.

"Dad!" Sam hugged his dad and moved, letting him hug Stevie.

"So any last words for me?" Sam asked his dad.

"Be good to each other. Let her know you love her everyday and allow her to do the same." Dwight said, looking down at his ring finger. "The Wedding is one day, a beautiful and wonderful day, but just one day. Marriage is the rest of your life. Remember that."

Blaine walked towards them with a smile. "Get ready gentlemen, it's time!"

Sam exhaled. "It's show time."

Three Months Later

"Sam, can you come here for a minute?" Mercedes asked, she'd been in the kitchen making them some lunch and wanted to show him something.

Sam walked in and smiled at his wife as she moved around the kitchen. It had been three months since they'd gotten married and he was still on cloud nine. After they moved into their new home, she went into decorating and he made a point to christening each room whenever he had the chance.

"What's up?" He asked.

"Can you tell me what's in the oven?" She answered, trying to hide her smile.

Sam looked at her confused before going over to the oven and opening it up to see it was just a bun in there.

"Babe, it's just a random bun in there."

Mercedes smiled and nodded. "Oh that's right, a bun in the oven…" She repeated and Sam just looked at her.

"You… you want me to get it out or does it need to cook longer?" He questioned.

"No, I think it needs to cook a little longer." She said with a laugh because he still didn't get what she was saying. "You sure it's only one in there?"

Sam looked again and saw there were actually two buns in there, he was confused at first because why would she only cook one but now it made sense since she was making them lunch.

"Okay there's two in there, I was wondering why there was only one but I see the other. So what's for lunch?" He asked and she burst out laughing. "What?"

"Sam what is in the oven?" She asked again.

"Babe are you feeling okay? I just told you there were two buns in the oven."

"Mhm, there are two buns in the oven Sam."

"I know, I just saw that and I told you that there were two buns in-" He started before it finally clicked. "Holy shit… Cedes are you… are we?"

Mercedes smiled and nodded before pulling out the ultrasound photo, she wanted to surprise him so she went to her doctor first to make sure everything was okay for them to start trying but to her surprise she was already pregnant.

"We're pregnant!" She said holding up the ultrasound and Sam quickly closed the gap between them and pulled her into a tight hug.

"We're having a baby?" He asked, smiling brightly at her.

"No baby, we're having two, see?" She said showing him both little babies.

Sam looked at the ultrasound feeling tears threatening to fall, he said he never wanted to have anymore kids but he knew the moment he met Mercedes he would love nothing more and now it was happening.

"We have to tell Izzy." He said softly. "She's gonna freak when she finds out there are two."

"I think if we go now, we can get her for lunch and surprise her then."

"We need to go celebrate first." Sam countered before picking her up and carrying her to their room.

"Sam!" She giggled, shaking her head with a laugh. He had her in their bed and without her clothes in less than five minutes. He was insatiable and she couldn't have been happier about it.

Sam kissed her deeply, moving his lips down her body, stopping at her stomach kissing all over it. After a few minutes of loving on her stomach, he kissed his way back up to her lips, spreading her thighs.

He moved himself between her legs, staring down at her. "You are so beautiful, I think I fall in love with you more and more everyday."

She stared up at him, only slightly uncertain of his resolve. Sam slowly pushed inside of her as she stared up at him. "Sam!" She gasped, wrapping her thighs around him and holding him close. "I love you!"

"I love you too baby." He said leaning in and kissing her hungrily. He poured every ounce of love he had for her. He couldn't control his happiness and it showed in the way he made love to her. As he sped up his actions, he gripped her thighs as she arched up screaming his name.

As they both laid in the bed, recovering, Sam held her closely. She closed her eyes, the question on her heart needing to come out. "Sam?"

He kissed her forehead. "Hmmm?"

"You are really happy right? I know you didn't want anymore for a long time and this wasn't planned."

Sam lifted her chin, staring into her eyes. "Merce I couldn't be happier. I didn't want kids because in truth I didn't believe that I could ever find love. I had nothing more to give and nothing more to lose. All I wanted was to be a good father to Izzy and help my family.

"When Izzy set up this whole Match Making thing, I was skeptical, and to be honest, I never thought there would ever be a love connection, but maybe a friendship and mother figure for Izzy. But the moment you walked into my life as Princess Tiana everything changed. My life changed. So yes I am happy, I am over the moon, I am ecstatic. And Izzy will be too."

Tears had come to Mercedes' eyes and Sam wiped them away, kissing her softly. "Let's go tell our daughter the big news."

Sam and Mercedes picked an excited Izzy up from school, the girl was perceptive and knew them picking her up early meant they had news. Maybe they would finally give her the puppy she had been asking them for.

As they made their way into the ice cream parlor, they took their time getting their sweet treats and sat down at the table they had designated as theirs. Stevie and Sam had carved their names in it secretly to make it official.

Sitting down Mercedes took a spoonful of Ice cream internally moaning, she had been craving strawberry ice cream and chocolate and caramel sauce all day.

"So how was school?" Sam asked, trying to build up to their surprise.

"It was fine, we were learning about the Continents and Oceans."

"And what all did you learn about them?" Mercedes asked, smiling at their daughter.

"A lot, why did you guys take me out so early today?" Izzy asked and Mercedes looked at Sam with a smile.

"Well, since you asked we do have some news…" Mercedes said suddenly feeling nervous. "It's some big news actually and I just want you to know that no matter what I am about to say, you are still my number one girl okay?"

Izzy eyed her, wondering why they both looked both excited and nervous. "What's happening? Are we moving?"

"No Izzy, we're not moving again. Remember how you said you wanted a little brother or sister?" Sam asked, noticing the bright smile that crossed her face.

"Is mommy having a baby?" She questioned excitedly.

"Well no." Sam said, trying to hold back his laugh when Izzy deflated slightly.

"I'm going to have two babies." Mercedes added and Izzy jumped from her seat and hugged both of her parents.

"Am I really get a brother and sister?" She asked tearfully.

"Well we won't know what they are for a few more months." Mercedes corrected. "But you could get two brothers or two sisters…"

"Then we'll work on more." Sam chimed in and Mercedes looked at him like he was crazy.

"You will!" Izzy exclaimed and Mercedes shook her head,

"Your father isn't thinking straight., let's just get through these two first, deal?"

"Deal!" Izzy said, bouncing in the chair.

Mercedes leaned over and hugged her. "I am so glad you are happy!"

"You three look like you are celebrating!" Stevie said as he walked towards them, arm wrapped around Jane.

Mercedes smiled as she leaned over to hug Jane and then Stevie. Izzy bounced up and down looking at her uncle. "Uncle Stevie guess what?!"

Stevie smiled excitedly. "What?!"

"I am gonna be a big sister! Mommy is having two!"

Stevie looked from Sam to Mercedes. "Congrats! I see you don't waste any time, do you big brother?"

Sam laughed, hugging Stevie. "Hey, what is the point of wasting time? With a wife like mine, she will be lucky if we don't have a full basketball team."

Mercedes laughed, shaking her head no as Stevie looked over to Jane. "Looks like we need to get on the ball. Woman lets go home so we can make triplets, gotta give Sam a run for his money."

Jane side eyed him. "Boy you have completely lost it, we are not even married yet."

"We can change that today!" Stevie said and Jane knew he was serious.

"Uh no I want a wedding."

Stevie sighed. "Fine but as soon as the wedding is over I expect triplets woman!"

Jane shook her head looking at Mercedes. "Remind me again why I said yes to him?"

Mercedes smiled at Sam. "Because you love him and he makes you happy. Might I add because I'm the best damn match maker in the game since I technically made this happen." She replied with a laugh.

Stevie nodded. "Remind me to buy you something nice sis."

Mercedes just giggled, as she watched Stevie try and steal Sam's ice cream so Sam steals Izzy's and she takes it back laughing. Having already told her parents and Sam's as they were on their way to get Izzy, Mercedes was certain she would never have to worry about feeling unwanted or alone again. This was a dream and she was so happy to have the family she always wanted and even more excited that she was about to bring in two more lives.
