Two weeks had passed, Julian got the job at the mechanics and he really seemed to be enjoying it, girls had made friends and entered a comp in Oakland. I felt little out of place. The hospital wasn't use to bluntness, or ruthless feedback. The intern we're scared shitless of me and the residence are brown noses.
sound of reeving caught my attention. Smirking at the twins duking it out.
Running inside grams smiled at me as my hands touched my knees my breaths heavy "two hour run? You okay?" Grams asked passing me water.
Shrugging "not use to this lifestyle, going to need some time to adjust"
"well if you need alone time the studio all yours, already spoken to gramps he agrees...we want you here love but we understand"
"what about the girls?" I frowned sipping on my water.
"you're not alone, we can be guardian too, live your life. Gramps and I have lived ours" Grams smiled "time you let that heart be free and known to the world it's too beautiful to be hidden away" grams touched my chest her other hand cupping my cheek "time to let your barriers down"
Leaning forward I kissed grams head not muttering a world as I turned and headed for a nice hot shower. The second the hot water touched my back I couldn't help but moan in relief.
"So your home for good you're not re-enlisting? Throwing away a career here Williamson" looking up at my commanding officer.
"I know but my family needs me I shouldn't have signed up Again last year" I signed looking at the only place I've known for a year.
Donny signed coming over to me pulling me into his arms "going to miss you"
"Miss you too" I mumbled.
"Alright enough of that your still mine for two more months"
"Your going to miss me" I taunted in a sing song voice.
"Yeah like a hole in the head"
Stepping ott it of the shower I stared at our family photo. This is their happiness, they didn't know darkness like Julian and I. Its knocked on their front door but they've never opened it. Julian and I would die before that happened.
"No this shit stops, his dead and you know what if he could see you now Susan he would hate you, he would hate everything you have become, everything you let happen" Lillian screamed at her mother in the the hospital.
"You want to die, off yourself I'll hand you the knife fuck I'll deliver the bullet but you want to do better than don't make this shit Happen Again, you have two little girls that think you're the best but let me tell you right not you're nothing but a junkie piece of shit"
"I'll do better Lillian I promise"
"I'm over your dead promises Susan... tell me now you going to finally grow the fuck up be the mother I once knew or are you going to be a junkie piece of shit? " Lillian questioned.
"I'll do better, I promise"
"I'll be here for two weeks, you will enroll yourself in rehab AGAIN. Grams is coming to watch the girls until you're better AGAIN, how she puts up with you I will never understand"
"Lillian I love you baby and I'm sorry, so fucking sorry. I'll do better I promise"
Feeling a nudge The memory of Susan washed from my brain, turning I looked at my little brother, he had grown so quickly but he looked "You have work today?" Shaking my head No "No shop work"
"No it's my official three days off" I nodded "Why what's up?"
"Want to come by my work? I want to show you something"
"New bike?" I asked
"Old bike"
"Okay I got to take the girls to school but yeah meet you there" Julian nodded kissing my cheek. I stood watching the girls, checking my watch I waved my hands both of them tapping their helmets, I watched them attack the track one last time.
Before I knew it they were right in front of me smiling "Hey Lillian can you get Julian to check my bike out the wheel alignment feels off" Alexis signed
"Sure roll it up on the truck and go get dressed quickly we got to go" Clapping my hands the girls moved.
"I know a girl who would have blitz them" Turning to gramps "You know you can still ride, maybe challenge them...they could use that type of edge"
"I know gramps just this is their moment you know, I don't want to take this away from them but if Julian wants to challenge me whilst girls are at school count me in" I elbowed him.
Gramps laughed "Julian said you were going over to the garage?"
"Yeah has something to show me" I shrugged
"Oh okay" I could hear it in his tone "Just um come to the shop for lunch?"
"Popular you all want my attention" I winked
"Yeah so bad" Gramps mimicked my voice
"LILLIAN TIME IS MONEY" Turning my head I looked at the Twins
"What money you making?" I asked laughing
"Not any if you don't put your ass in gear" Addy screamed
"Oh these are your Grandchildren" I pointed at Gramps
"Wouldn't change it for the world" Gramps winked taking my coffee mug.
Rolling my eyes Alexis threw my keys at me catching them I jumped in the truck Addy in the front seat playing with the radio. Best thing about these two is they hardly fought always stuck up for each other and surprisingly took turns in the front seat unless it was against Julian than they just sat in the back.
"So how's school?"
"Actually something we wanted to talk to you about?" Alexis started
"Yeah so there is a party coming up" Addy jumped in.
"Oh yeah"
"Yeah and um all our school work is completed and-"
"what type of party is it?" I cut them off.
"There will be alcohol, probably drugs and sex"
"Jesus Addy tell me more on why I want you to go"
"would you rather we lie to you" Alexis shrugged "We want you to trust us and know we aren't like them. we want to experience the party but not to that extreme"
"So this a trust test because I can run test after-"
"We'd let you"
"I will discuss it with Julian" They both signed "Hey I make the last call girls but I will discuss it, but I want fully charged phone, addresses and checkups" the girls squealed "I didn't say yes they're just conditions" Pulling up to the school "Behave no fights, good grades"

"Love you too now get out" The girls both jumped out. honking my horn bye I turned right towards the mechanics. It didn't take long before I was parking my truck in the lot.
Jumping out I headed up towards the shop "Hey can I help you?" Turning around to the lady.
"Ah yeah looking for Julian Williamson"
"JULIAN" The Lady screamed nodding behind me, raising an eyebrow I turned on my heels it was Julian I frowned when I seen him in the leather Kutte.
Pressing my lips together he made eye contact with me "Hey Lillian" Jax nodded "Looking good darling" he winked throwing his arm over the older lady "Come on mom"
Julian walked up to me like he got his hand stuck in a cookie jar. Biting the inside of my gums "You needed to show me something" I asked.
"Ah yeah follow me" Nodding I followed behind him reading the prospect tag on the vest. I wanted to ask, I wanted answers but I knew better. Following Julian into a clubhouse it smelt like alcohol, grease and smokes. It looked like a typical man's club accept the women walking around in basically nothing.
My eyes scanned the room the pool tables, the bar the girls giving me filthy looks "So?"
"You're going to need this" he handed me a beer. Taking it he nodded over to a wall "Look at the photos" looking at the photos they were mug shots, I seen Jax and I couldn't help but think he looked hot.
My eyes stopped scanning when I seen him, frowning I moved closer towards the photo "You're fucking kidding me...Julian?"
"I had the same reaction, but its him" he passed me another photo "Mum and Dad" taking it I looked at it mum was pregnant and dad was holding a toddler "It's you and me"
"I've never seen these photos" I ran my hand over the picture "I never even knew he was in a club" looking up at Julian "This why you joined?"
"Not official yet, got 12 months...Jax is my sponsor" I had no clue what that meant "Been putting in the work to buy a bike has to be all black they don't like my dirt bike" he laughed.
"so was this the old bike?" I asked
"ah yeah"
"well since we're on the topics bikes, Alexis needs a wheel alignment on her bike and the girls want to go to a party" I signed "They just want to be involved with the high school scene and you know me I never did but I'm scared to let them do that type of shit"
"Mmm" he nodded "Fully charged phone?" I nodded "Updates hourly and curfew"
"Yeah all homework is completed and passing grades" I shrugged taking a sip of my beer "Said I talk to you about it"
"Bet they gave up" I nodded "Lets stress them out for the week and then let them go"
"Sounds like a fun idea" I agreed.
"Jules we need you on this bike" Jax called in, Julian nodded standing up "Hey finish your beer"
"Thanks" Julian patted my shoulder "I'll roll Alexis bike off and check it out" walking pass me.
Sitting at the bar by myself picture in my hand as I sipped on the beer. My mind was a whirlwind of thoughts but I felt I couldn't ask, like it was frowned upon, I spent 10 years with him and not once did he tell me about this club about this past. Finishing my beer I looked up to see Jax staring at me "This is another photo" frowning I took it and examined the photo.
"Is that me?" I asked smiling at the little naked girl playing in the kiddie pool with two naked boys.
"And me and Opie" he nodded "Before you moved, mum said use moved to Australia when you were 4"
"we seem to be a close notch group" I laughed, Jax smirked wiggling his eyebrows "Alright let me ask you and be honest, this club is he safe?" I wondered.
"I got him"
"not what I asked"
"all you need to know darling"
nodding I got up "alright fair enough" standing up to leave Jax gripped my upper arm, frowning I ripped my arm from his, his arms going up in surrender.
"hey...hey...hey sorry I didn't mean to grab you like that...I got him okay all I wanted to say I didn't mean to disrespect you"
"I'm going to go now" turning I walked away my heart racing it was hard for me to fight that urge. Walking out of the club and back towards my truck. my hand was shaking, my heart beating rapidly, I could taste the blood in my mouth from biting the inside of my cheeks.
"hey Lilly...lily hey you okay?" Jumping in my car I started it and drove away watching Julian throw his hands up in the air. He knew me to well, he would figure it out.
Driving straight to gramps cafe my hand still shaking, once my truck was parked I walked in and straight away our eyes made contact "Elizabeth watch the café" Elizabeth nodded and gramps hooked arms walking me back out of the cafe.
we began walking his eyes on me "you know"
"yeah Julian wants to patch in" I nodded "is it safe?"
"yes and no, the boys will take a bullet for each other, but they have killed"
"dad?"
"yeah he wasn't a bad person"
"just because you kill doesn't make you a bad person gramps, sometimes it's all you know, something you have to do it"
gramps signed squeezing my arm "dad loved the club, he was best friends with JT, those two were as thick as thieves since day dot. JT was your godfather, you, jax and opie had so many sleepovers" he smirked "jax was your first kiss" gramps chuckled "your dad was furious the day you told him Jax and use were boyfriend and girlfriend" he chuckled "I wouldn't want Julian to patch him not smart but-"
"he's a grown ass man" I nodded "all I've ever done is protect these kids gramps, if Julian isn't safe I need to know, you know I need to know that this shit is safe"
"nothing in this world is safe but that's life"
nodding "jax gripped my arm almost knocked Julian VP on his ass"
"oh I would have loved to seen that" gramps chuckled loudly.
"why didn't you ever tell me that dad was a part of this club?"
gramps shrugged "he asked us not too, his life was rough, he was a tough man that did some horrible things he didn't want that for you and Julian. He would have died happily here in charming but instead he moved to Australia Lily"

Gramps shrugged as we continued to walk down Main Street, I closed my eyes letting the sun touch my face, the warm breeze bringing a smile to my face. This place felt like home.
