Dick managed to avoid Barbara for almost two weeks wIth Alfred's excuses of him being busy or training with the team but Dick's phone had been blowing up with messages, calls, and facetimes.

Barabra had been trying day in and day out to get in touch with him but not hearing from your partner in two weeks, he didn't blame her for trying so hard.

He hadn't been back to the mountain since New Year's Day but Wally had been keeping him up to date with everything that had been going on.

Bruce and Dinah have been talking to Doctor Fate about releasing Zatara and Zatanna has been trying everything she possibly can to find him. She even attempted a locator spell to find him.

He looked out the window in his bedroom, going over his plan in his head. Dick decided that he couldn't hide from Barabra any longer and was going to come clean about what happened.

Barabra and him were going back to school tomorrow and it would be better to have this conversation privately rather than trying to have it when there are prying eyes and ears all around them.

Dick walked out of his room and went downstairs to find Alfred. Dick rounded the corner to the kitchen and called out, "Alfred?" Almost immediately, Alfred replied, "I am here in the kitchen, Master Richard."

Dick walked into the kitchen, "Where Bruce? Is he back from the Watchtower yet?" Alfred looked at his watch, "I believe he is in his office, Master Richard. He got back about an hour ago."

Dick nodded and began walking in the direction of Bruce's office but was stopped by Alfred placing a hand on his shoulder. "Master Richard, I have to ask, What are you going to do about Miss Gordon? I can't keep turning her away forever."

Dick took a deep breath, "That's why I'm looking for Bruce, I was going to ask him if she can come over so we can talk." Alfred nodded, "Everything will be fine, Master Richard." Alfred patted Dick on the back before turning back to the kitchen.

Dick quickly made his way to Bruce's office and knocked on the door. He heard Bruce called out before he turned the knob and walked in. Bruce's office has always been a safe place for Dick.

Behind Bruce's desk, the wall was basically a huge window that looked out over the ocean. The right side of the room was covered by shelves that held many different kinds of books that belonged to Bruce's father and some that Bruce has collected over the years. He even has a few stored there as well.

The left side of the room has souvenirs from places that Bruce has traveled to and held things that were needed from Wayne Enterprises. Bruce never kept anything upstairs that regarded their nightly activities.

Bruce looked up from the paper that he had been filling out when Dick closed the door. Bruce could tell Dick was nervous and started to file the papers away since they were about to have some kind of serious talk.

Dick walked over to his desk, "You don't have to put that stuff away, I just wanted to ask you something." Bruce set the papers down again, "Well I figured you wanted to have a serious talk because that's the only time that you close the door completely."

Dick looked back at the door before shrugging. "I wanted to ask if Barabra could come over for a while. I want to talk to her about what happened on New Years."

Bruce nodded, "Dickie, I know you're nervous to tell her but it wasn't your fault. Zatanna forced you to kiss her, none of it was done out of your own freewill."

Dick looked at the floor, "I know but it doesn't make it easier." Bruce stood up from his desk and walked over to Dick. He laid a heavy hand on Dick's shoulder and kneeled in front of him.

"Everything will be completely fine, I promise." Dick looked up, "That's what Alfred said too." Bruce smiled, "Then believe in us." Dick nodded and gave Bruce a hug before heading out the door back to his room.

Dick unlocked his phone and pulled up the message thread for Barabra. "Hey come to the manor we need to talk." Not even a second later, the message was read. Dick sat down by the window and waited knowing that she would be here in about 10 minutes.

Dick picked his head off the window when he heard footsteps coming down the hall. He took one more deep breath and squared his shoulders as his door opened.

Dick waited for the yelling but instead was met with crying Barabra running to hug him, she was ready to hyperventilate.

Dick began tearing up as well and squeezed Barabra as they stood crying together in his room. The emotional weight of the last two weeks finally became too much for the pair.

When Barabra finally caught her breath and calmed down, she caught Dick in a sweet kiss by surprise. Dick quickly began to kiss back before the pair broke apart. Dick gave Barabra's head a kiss and laid his against hers afterwards, "I'm sorry."

Barabra pushed her face into his chest, "I know." The pair stood there a few minutes later before they broke apart and sat down on the Dick's bed.

Barbara took a deep breath, "So are you gonna tell me what happened the last two weeks? I thought I did something, I thought you didn't….." Dick closed his eyes at the unspoken words.

Dick took Barbrara's hand, "We had a mission over New Years, that was part of the reason but something else happened." Dick looked at Barbara's face, he saw nothing but understanding and love.

Dick looked off, "Zatanna kissed me." Almost immediately, it felt like the air got sucked from the zoom. Barbara looked shocked, "What?" Tears welling up.

Dick looked down, "She caught me by surprise when I was walking back to my room and she kissed me before I realized what her intentions were. I thought she was just coming up to me to say Happy New Years or something. That's why I went MIA for the last two weeks, I was afraid to tell you."

Barbara dropped her head into her hands, "Did you kiss back? Why did she kiss you?" Dick shrugged, "I don't know why but I pushed her away as soon as she started. I told her about us but that didn't stop her."

Dick recounted the events after he got back to his room as Barbara cried silently next to him. After he finished the pair sat in an understanding silence. Dick looked up, "Where does this leave us now?" Dick was afraid of the answer.

Barbara looked at him and took his face in his hands, "I'm not mad at you because I know you didn't want it." Dick gave a small smile and leaned in for a kiss.

Barbara pulled back, "What are you going to do about Zatanna? She can't keep doing this. It's assault Dick." Dick ran a hand through his hair, "I know, B and Canary are dealing with it. I haven't been back to the cave since it happened but I know I'll have to go back soon enough."

Barbara took his hand in both of hers, "Whatever happens, we will get through this together Dickie. I love you." Dick's stomach instantly filled with butterflies. That was the first time those words were spoken out in the open.

"I love you too" Dick said as he laid his forehead against hers.
