From here the plot begins to develop and soon we will discover what the plan is and who is behind all this.
Seth and Drew were at the oil tycoon's house, in one of the most exclusive suburbs of Utopia. It was the first time Seth had set foot in this place. Drew had never invited him.
But ever since he returned from his trip, Drew had grown closer to Seth. He had called him several times, on no occasion had he been sarcastic.
If by some kind of miracle, Drew was thinking that something serious could happen between them, it would be a real shame because Seth was already very clear about what was going to happen with Drew.
They had both finished dinner and Drew took him by the hand and led him to his bedroom.
At least normal behavior between them. The desire to have sex. Seth thought
Drew's room was beautiful, very tasteful. A huge bed, a bookcase with many books, on different topics. This was a side of his lover that Seth didn't know about. Everything perfectly decorated, with a very masculine aura, it was so Drew.
Seth approached his lover, if he wanted sex, he was okay with that.
"I want to propose something to you." Drew took him by the face.
"I will not marry you." Seth smirked.
And for the first time Drew smiled sincerely. "I know. But my proposal is not that."
"You are going to propose some business to me in your bed." Seth grabbed the Scotsman's polo shirt collar.
"I want you to associate with me and formalize our relationship." Drew got to the point.
"Why do that?" Seth was going to kiss him.
But Drew dodged him. "Because that way I can protect you."
Seth giggled. "It would rather be the other way around. But the thing is... that I have no interest in protecting you."
"Seth, you must listen to what I have to tell you." Drew insisted.
"Not really. You know it was all so obvious from the start…" Seth smirked. "Did you really think you were going to fool me?"
Drew narrowed his eyes.
"That's why it's always good that my fortune doubles yours." Seth licked his lips. "I can pay your accomplices double to turn you in."
"You always knew why I went to that place…" Drew stated, but didn't seem surprised by this fact.
"Because I'm always one step ahead of you." Seth brought his lips to the other man's in a kiss.
They both kissed passionately for a long time.
"You have no idea how I'm going to miss this." Seth brought his hands to the other man's crotch. "I'm going to miss your big dick."
He gave a few strokes and then abruptly pulled away from Drew. "But to be honest, I really like power... and with you..."
"With me you are powerless. You have to surrender... despite being so strong." Drew realized. "With me, you're always beneath."
Seth's smug expression faltered for a few seconds.
"But not anymore, you're going to be powerless in just a few minutes." Seth composed his expression, "The Miz would sell his soul to the highest bidder and so he sold it to me like a cheap whore. I know about your shipment of rare metals. I interfered in your weapon designs. I always handled you like a puppet, to get those metals without having to tarnish my reputation. Drew, you're lost."
But to Seth's surprise, Drew just sat on his bed calmly, there was no fear in his eyes. And for a brief moment, Seth thought he saw even a little melancholy in them.
"Just like you said, Mike, he would sell his soul to the highest bidder." Drew shook his head. "But the highest bidder is not always the one with the most money. There are some things more important than that."
"You're just thrashing like a drowning fish, now that you see all your plans are falling apart in front of your eyes." Seth pretended that Drew's calm wasn't causing him anxiety. "But I'm tired of this little game we have. At this moment your precious cargo must be in my laboratories. Guess who's beneath now?"
Drew expression was serious. "You Seth, that's why I did everything I did. Part of the deal was getting you to partner with me, to prevent you from suffering the same fate as Roman. In fact, I made it clear to my associates on the island. That I would get you to associate with me. Now, everything is falling apart, but it's right before your eyes Seth." He sighed. "And now that you are about to be defeated, I can admit that I really want to keep you."
"It seems you didn't hear a word I said. That's why you keep trying to seduce me so I don't destroy you…" Seth was smirking, but… that expression in Drew's eyes kept him uneasy.
"Maybe Mike is right. He told me that you would never accept the deal. And that it was actually a stupid move on my part to be holding feelings for you, since... and I'm going to quote his words: you are too powerful to be trusted, so even if I really wanted to keep you… I shouldn't do it."
"What are you talking about?" Seth was done. "I messed up your plan and… you no longer have shit. You are under my control, it is me who should be saying that although I like you a lot, I am going to get rid of you."
"Like you did with Finn Balor." Drew's smile was bitter. "That alone proves Mike right, even if I wanted to keep you, I should never do it."
"If you are lost now… why are you so calm?" Seth was now curious.
"You know, Seth. Something I learned on the Amazon Rainforest, it is that... nothing is what it seems." Drew pulled a small metal bar out of his pants pocket. "This metal is incredible. Light, but so powerful. And, although we have managed to do wonders with it. Nothing equals what we are going to achieve in your laboratory. And I don't mean those crappy blueprints you think you used to fool me and my associates."
"It was you, who always knew everything." Seth was wide eyed.
"Mike didn't sell me out, he just told you what you needed to hear." Drew explained. "You can't say I didn't want to help you. Just like Balor did, even against all logic and for a son of a bitch like me… Seth, I tried to save you too."
Seth huffed. "Seriously? I will need only a few seconds to destroy you."
"I will need less than that." Drew stated.
And instead of trying to escape, he walked towards Seth. The heir did not understand what was happening.
"Let's see if this is as effective on you as it was on Roman." Drew placed his hands on Seth's wrists.
And handcuffs, similar to the ones that restrained Roman, caught Seth's wrists.
The heir was taken by surprise. He couldn't break this metal, couldn't move his hands and arms.
But Drew wasn't smirking or showing any kind of emotion. On the contrary, it was the powerful Seth Rollins who, for the first time, showed fear in his eyes. Drew immediately threw another metal bar at the feet of the supersoldier, the thing automatically, closed on his ankles.
In an attempt to free himself, Seth fell on the floor.
"Roman is much more powerful than you and he couldn't get free of those handcuffs." Drew crouched to get closer to Seth.
"Roman?" Seth looked at Drew in horror. "But he's dead..."
"You didn't know, do you?" Drew sighed. "Roman is alive, he always was. He was the Amazonian monster that I couldn't get rid of."
"So, you always knew what that threat was…"
"And I always knew I couldn't get rid of him. So, I got some associates to help me with that. And those handcuffs are only a small part of what we can get."
"You caught Roman…"
"And now he must be quite dead." Drew admitted.
"Dean…"
"Look, I don't think Dean would save you, even if he could. I'm sure he and even Finn Balor want to see you dead." Drew stood up. "But that doesn't matter anymore. Finn was with Roman all this time and they were captured together. What you couldn't do because you fell in love with the useless journalist… my associates on that island already did. Finn must be as dead as Roman right now."
Seth looked at Drew with huge anger. "For someone who was giving me a chance, you seem to enjoy seeing me defeated."
"I can't do anything for you anymore. My associates must already have your lab under control and they must be coming to my house, as Mike must have already informed them." Drew pursed his lips. "And there is nothing you or I can do to avoid your fate. If they could get rid of Roman, who is stronger than you, taking care of you will be a piece of cake. And let's not talk about Dean, he will be even easier. So, he'd better stay hidden, wherever he is."
Shortly after, the door of Drew's house was violently opened. And The Miz accompanied by several armed men entered.
"They murdered your father in such a horrible way." The old man was sitting in his huge chair. "I don't see anyone better than you to execute this job, Charlotte. You have the intelligence and the training."
A beautiful blonde clenched her fists, her gaze reflecting deep anger. "But I'm still just a human. That is why they managed to escape and liberate the island. Because they are powerful."
"They are a threat; the entire country must see the supersoldiers for what they really are. A threat to their lives, to the peace of this country. I will get rid of all of them, and not as Randy Orton wanted to do by creating more of them. No, I will make weapons so that humans like you can get rid of them. So that our national army can get rid of them whenever a new one appears."
"And that way everyone will see you, a mere human like all of us, as the true hero. And they will feel identified with who is equal to them." She nodded understanding everything.
"Drew, The Miz, they are just pawns on my chessboard, all of them expendable. But you, you are the queen, Charlotte." The man smirked. "The training you have received for years, in various battles on that island and in other places where weapons were tested, is something that our own army would dream of. In addition to being an extremely intelligent woman. That's why it's time to fulfill your destiny. You will end the threat and take me where I need to be. I won't be able to give your father what I promised him when I reach my goal. But I will give it all that to you."
"Count on me." She sentenced.
"No, please no. I…" Mox didn't know what to say now. He just sat on the bed in that room on the plane.
"I just want to know that you're okay." Tony sat next to him.
"Don't pretend you don't know what happened here. You... you should hate me, you should spit on me." Mox sighed.
"I already told you... I know about that story of yours." Tony said resignedly. "Do you know there is something on the internet called ambreigns?"
Mox smiled. "Tony we should… end whatever we've been having. More for your good than for mine."
"You're going to chase the memory of Roman…" Tony closed his eyes.
"It's not that, it's that I... I need to finish everything that is unfinished in my life." Mox nodded. "I need to let him go completely. But that process... I must do it alone."
"I can at least wait for you." Tony insisted.
"Why are you doing this to me…" Mox closed his eyes.
"Do you really want me to tell you?" Tony put his hand on Mox's shoulder.
Mox sighed. If he was sure of anything, it was that he didn't deserve Tony, or his feelings. All of this was so difficult. He wanted to be with Tony, but, after what he did, he knew he was only going to hurt him.
"I want to feel the same as you feel." Mox finally came clean. "I want to… but it's just… it's going to end the same. You will end up just like him. Because of me you will lose everything good that is in you. Deep down, I'm doing you a good by not reciprocating your feelings."
"What happened with Roman was not your fault." Tony sighed. "Jon listen… Roman followed you because he fell in love with you, and I get that part. I am doing the same. And this decision of mine, it's not your fault. That I wait for you does not depend on you, it is my responsibility. I want to be here with you, be it platonic or romantic. Because that Roman over there is going to break your heart. He's going to shatter it and you know it. You're going to need someone to support you. I ask only that. Maybe when you realize that thing with Roman is impossible, then you can reciprocate."
"Or maybe I'll shatter your heart, like I just did a few moments ago. I don't want to do that to you." Mox insisted.
"And I don't want you to face all of this alone. That's it." Tony smiled sadly. "It is my vocation, to try to heal, to save others, even when they themselves want to be sick."
Mox just nodded and hugged Tony.
"AJ." Akira was phoning with the other scientist. "I don't have much time to explain to you. Drew and The Miz were already aware of all of Seth's plans. It was all a trap. The lab is being taken over by their staff and Seth is being transported, they managed to restrain him."
"But that's impossible, he is a supersoldier." AJ was stunned. "Besides, Seth said Drew had an ally."
"I think he is the one who hatched this whole plan. A mastermind, who was ahead of Seth in everything. You must hide the antidote. Now more than ever, that may be our only way out."
"You must get out of there." AJ insisted.
"I can not. They will hunt me down and kill me. Hide well AJ. Until I find a way to contact you again." Akira sentenced and closed the call.
"Akira!" AJ was yelling at the phone. "Akira!"
AJ closed his eyes in frustration. He didn't know what he was going to do, but he knew he had to hide the antidote. Everything got even more complicated now.
Charlotte was arriving with several engineers. "This is where we are going to build the prison where we will keep Seth Rollins, as long as we need him alive."
Akira watched as they entered the second basement. Where they had the super soldier project, which was on hold due to AJ's lack of collaboration. Charlotte's men were destroying everything.
Shortly after Drew and The Miz entered, behind them was a group of armed men. Just like they did with Roman on the island, Seth was totally restrained by the handcuffs. Charlotte had the control that kept him trapped. Several of the armed men guarding the lab pointed their guns at Charlotte, attempting to rescue their boss from her. The men who worked for Charlotte tried to move, but she calmed them down. The blonde just smiled and she let Seth's bodyguards aim at her, while she kept control of herself.
"Release Mr. Rollins and no one will get hurt." The head of the Rollins Industries security team was threatening.
Charlotte smirked and in a swift move, she kicked the man causing him to lose the gun. Pulling one out of hers and pointing it at his temple. She fired, killing the man instantly. Seth Rollins' other guards shot at her body, but the bullets did not pierce the vest she was wearing. The men working for Charlotte, targeted the rest of the guards and they shot them.
"If someone else pretends to be loyal to your former boss, step forward. I want to get rid of the hindrances as quickly as possible." She sneered, then looked back at the engineers, "The boss is coming to oversee this must be ready to keep the prisoner under control and to start operating in this laboratory as soon as possible. And you know that I expect efficiency, or you will suffer the same fate."
This woman was not messing around. Saying this, she left her two trusted soldiers in charge of her guard outside that room and left. There were only Akira, Seth, Drew and The Miz in that part of the lab.
The Miz smirked and walked over to Seth who was on the ground. The Miz crouched and Seth spat in his face.
The Miz wiped himself off with his expensive handkerchief. "Seriously? Seth, Seth. People like you cannot feel betrayed."
"What could they offer you that was bigger than the amount of money I was paying you." Seth didn't understand.
"Soon you will know. Tomorrow, you will meet the boss, he will explain everything to you." The Miz smiled and looked at Drew. "I told you it was him or you. I hope you're not backing down, you know you won't survive. He wouldn't think twice about letting you die or killing you to save himself. You must do the same."
Drew smirked. "Do you really need to repeat it to me? I know this little son of a bitch. He was setting me up. Plus, with the power I'll get, I'll get better fucks than him."
"You should try to win over Charlotte." The Miz scoffed.
"That bitch must be cold even in bed." Drew pursed his lips. "Tomorrow we will return to tie up all the ends of the plan and…"
But a call interrupted both men. The Miz answered and opened his eyes wide, leaving the room.
Akira looked at Drew in silent plea. Drew approached the scientist. "Seth talked about you several times, praising how smart and trustworthy you are."
Akira knew that this could cost him his life, but he had to try. "And I want to continue to be, for Mr. Rollins."
Seth looked at him wide eyed. Drew just nodded.
"Then don't go around repeating this to anyone. And take good care of him." Drew looked at Seth and just like at his house, there was no contempt or sarcasm in his eyes. Rather a small hint of melancholy.
And for the first time in their time together, Seth looked at him the same way.
"You should have accepted my proposal." Drew muttered.
"It would have been useless." Seth admitted. "Whoever is behind this, it's obvious that their plans were never to keep me alive. They just made you believe you could make me part of whatever this is, because maybe they thought you woul develope feelings, like that's possible. It doesn't matter, when they get what they want, they'll get rid of me."
Drew just grunted and left the room.
Mox and the others landed on another island, a country in the Caribbean Sea. The authorities of that place received them, Mox thought that they would have to do something drastic to get out of there without being arrested. However, Finn started talking to them.
"I am definitely going to learn Spanish." Becky indicated when she saw how Finn was talking to those guys. Finn handed them an envelope.
Roman was next to Finn, the Samoan did not separate from his friend. There, a woman joined them, she was walking with them.
"Con esa cantidad de dinero más el avión, nadie va a delatarlos." She said jovially.
"Eso espero. Ahora necesitaremos un bote." Roman indicated. "Que tenga un buen motor porque estamos apurados."
The woman smiled at Roman and ran to get what the samoan asked for.
"You can speak Spanish?" Finn said surprised. "You always told the kids you couldn't."
Roman rolled his eyes. "Spanish was the first language I heard when you brought me back to life man. I can speak, just… I'm not good at it. I'm only doing that if I really need it like right now. And the kids laugh when they see me struggling with their language so, I just keep pretending I can't."
She directed them to where a boat was.
"For the amount of money you gave to these guys, you can't take this crap." Adam, the guy who was co-piloting the plane indicated.
"We can't get picky Adam." Mox pulled his friend's hair.
"And what are we going to do with our friends from the other island. You know, the pilots." Tony pointed to the two guys who helped them escape.
"The villagers said that they wanted to come to live the american dream. Once we reach the Utopia's seaport, they will find their way." Adam shrugged. "Mox you know that I love you very much, but I will do the same, I will go with my new friends to live the american dream. I wish you luck, but what you are doing is a suicide mission."
"You, defecting from a suicide mission?" Becky started laughing.
"I know my limits, and you and Tony should do the same. Let the super soldiers do their thing." Adam smirked. "And come with us, as far as you can of this disaster."
"But Mox knows that I will back him no matter what. Besides, Finn is also my friend." Becky smiled.
"I'll stay with Mox too." Tony shrugged.
They all got into the boat and with the help of a map and the little knowledge of Adam and the boys on the island, they headed towards Utopia's seaport.
