After finally getting the truth off of my chest to Coco, we both agreed that we should explore around the place and try to get him to my world if I could return back to it. I knew it'd be tough, but I did know that my situation wasn't really one that'd be caused by anything from my world... so that meant one of two things. Either this was one of the most vivid dreams I'd ever had, I was currently in some kind of coma, or a specific force from this world managed to bring me to it and have me take the roll of the main character.
And once we got to the inner parts of the cave, we found the tombstone that had the picture of the original cast of the first game... as well as there being a very familiar-looking person in front of me. It looked like the character I was currently dressed as, only more exact with the colored skin and the other traits such as hair color and body shape.
"W-Wait... who is this? And why does she look almost exactly like you do, Sunny?... You know, minus the color of skin and hair," Coco asked as the ghost then started to speak.
"I can answer that question with a simple point of my finger... I am who Sunny is... but it seems that some force changed our roles..." she said as she pointed at me with a sigh. "Now she is in my body and has my role in this adventure... and I'm stuck as a ghost. At least I don't have to worry about speaking in yips and barks with limited English," she said, me looking at Coco and then at her again.
"So what's your name, then?" I asked.
"My name is Dorothy," she said, me tilting my head at that.
"That's my last name... is that a coincidence?" I asked.
"Yes, it is. Especially since you could name the main protagonist anything you wanted when starting a new file... or during the adventure," she said, making Coco look at me in confusion.
"You mean she knows everything, too?" Coco asked.
"It would make sense, since she and I are in the same position... but I'm not going to ruin the entire plot. Because anything we say could be used against us... so if you're here instead of the one who's supposed to, can you give us some Nexotraps?" I asked, her nodding as she gave me 10 of them... and I was shocked to see that at least 4 of them already contained some Nexomon in them! And of those Nexomon, I saw they were Mermella, Sae, Babicle, and Nekpanchi!
"Whoa... so cool! I even get a near-full team of Nexomon!" I smirked in happiness.
"I found them in this cave hidden underneath this gravestone. Most likely hidden from view, as almost all of them are Mega Rare," Dorothy said as I looked at them with happiness. "Just be sure to feed them some food at least one time a day. Otherwise, they'll be quite hungry and won't like to battle as much," she said, me nodding at that.
"Thanks... so do you know what caused all of this to happen, by chance? You know, with me being forced in your body and you becoming a ghost?" I asked her.
"It is as the dragon said, even if it were a guess. It is because of the Tyrant known as Ziegler. He did this, but it'll be very hard to get an answer as to why and how you can go back to your own dimension. All I request is that, before you go to your home dimension, you can convince him to send my spirit into this body again. I promise to be a good girl," she said, Coco looking at me and then at her.
"What're you talking about that I'm not allowed to know?" Coco asked.
"Let's just say... Dorothy and I are the main protagonists in the game... and there are a lot of plot twists that will make you shocked... question, though. Would Coco be able to follow me to the real world? Or is that a question to ask Ziegler?" I asked her.
"The latter is my answer. At least try to use some kind of cloning machine? I don't want to be lonely, after all. Especially since Coco is my favorite, too," Dorothy said, Coco smirking at that.
"Aw, thanks," he smirked at me.
"I'll try to get the brainiacs in the future to try and figure out how to do that... now I have to go and get further in the story," I said, her nodding at me.
"Good luck. And don't forget to feed them all," she said, me nodding at her as I then decided to do that once we got out of the place, since I noted that Coco had some treats on him in the form of some candy corn.
"I smell sweetness... how lovely," Sae asked, me smiling at him.
"We have some candy corn here. And we have a feeling that you're probably all hungry," I smiled, Coco then providing the snacks and them then having one bag each, me smirking at how each of them liked it, but Mermella loved it the most.
"~Oh what a delightful taste sensation!... A great blast of candy dancing on my tongue...~" she sung, her sounding extremely adorable with her siren song... but I also noted that her singing managed to get Coco to be surprised.
"Wow! I've never seen a Nexomon that could talk English before! And sing it quite well!" Coco smiled... and it was then that Amelie arrived to us.
"UGH! There you two are!" she shouted when she saw us, taking a bit to realize that we had 5 other Nexomon with us. "Um... wow... you got QUITE a lot of rare ones!... Ahem... let's get back to the orphanage. A dragon has been sighted here and that means that a Tyrant is also nearby! This forest is dangerous now!" Amelie said with concern.
"Yet you were the one who said that nothing bad can happen," Coco smirked.
"Easy, Coco, let's just follow her advice. I don't think we could handle a Tyrant at our current state," I smiled, him nodding as we then went to the south... before I found a pickaxe on the ground! And while Amelie wasn't looking, I picked it up and put it in my shirt on the back. I then simply walked along with them while whistling until we got to the mentor's office with him, Amelie, Ross, and Nora looking very concerned.
"There you two are! I was so worried! I saw the dragon go where you were at, so I was scared stiff!" Nora said with worry as I smiled and wrote down what happened.
"It was searching for a very hard-to-find Tyrant and smelled it had been around me... its called Ziegler," I wrote down, that making her surprised.
"Ziegler? You mean that scary monster in the fairy tales? The one that collects the souls of bad people and sends them to the netherworld?" Nora asked.
"I've encountered this Ziegler before," said a voice from behind us, that being the one of Deena, which surprised Amelie when she saw her.
"Ah, Deena! I see you got my message," Amelie said.
"Yes. The dragon is trying to search for Ziegler, a Tyrant that can teleport anywhere he pleases without issue. And for some bizarre reason, he was eerily close to Sunny during her previous slumber. Do tell, did you have a very bad nightmare by chance, Sunny?" Deena asked, me nodding at that. I then looked at Coco and smiled.
"Translate for me, please?" I asked, him nodding. "I saw me on a crashing airship, watching a gigantic monster in a land filled with scorched earth and lava... and in this dream, Amelie was cursing my name, saying that our people would rise as I fall... and then, a lot of explosions happened as the airship landed in the lava... and I woke up like I was drained of tons of energy," I said while Coco translated. And afterwards, Deena nodded.
"Then it seems that Ziegler was trying to do something to her, but what, I cannot imagine. I need to try and find Ziegler myself before he does any irreparable harm," Deena said.
"I shall expect you to do as well as you are, Deena. I trust you greater than the other three Guildmaster tamers," Amelie said, her nodding as Deena then started to go out the door... before then freezing time and looking at me and Coco specifically... because he wasn't trapped in time!
"Keep your trap shut about this... I know exactly what's going on, but it seems there is only one way for you to go back to your own world, Sunny. And that is by finding Ziegler and not only defeating him, but capturing him. All I ask is that you ensure a way for this world to be saved. And Coco, you keep your yap shut, too. I don't need too much revealed at once. Do you promise this?" she asked in annoyance.
"Cross my heart... just so long as I can go with her to her world when that time comes," he said.
"That'd be up to Ziegler, as Dorothy said... but I promise to not talk too much either, Deena. Wink wink," I smirked at her.
"If you break this promise, I will find you and make you pay... especially since you were truthful about what you said earlier," Deena frowned before letting time resume again and leaving me and Coco a bit surprised as Ross noticed.
"Hey, you two doing okay? You look like you've seen a ghost," Ross smirked widely.
"Um... we were just impressed... that she's one of four different Guildmaster tamers. It must be super tough to get to that level of importance, huh?" Coco asked.
"You have no idea," Amelie smiled. "But now, since this area is now a danger zone, let's go to Parum so we can be safe and get you your tamer cards. Just trust Deena. She's killed a lot of Tyrants during her 18 years of working for the guild," Amelie said, me smirking at that... and I then looke at my caught Nexomon in the Nexotraps and sighed contentedly.
"Let's get going, then!" Ross said extremely excitedly as he then rushed out first, throwing caution out the window entirely.
"Yep, he's dead," Coco said, Nora and Amelie then chasing after the petulant redhead... and leaving me and Coco about to follow before the mentor spoke.
"Sunny," he said, me looking at him with a smile.
"Mmhmm?" I asked with a hum, hoping he'd at least understand that.
"No need to be modest. I know you aren't the same person as before. I saw Ziegler myself and chased him away, but that was after his little 'experiment'... I told Dorothy to hide in the cave until we can get that bastard to fix this mess," he said, me being shocked at that and looking at Coco.
"You mean... you know?" Coco asked in surprise.
"Yes, I do. I expect you to not mess a single thing up, got it? Because if you do, then I'll never forgive you," he said, me nodding at him.
"So long as you can play along as well, mister mentor. But I am allowed to at least tell a half-lie about me being partly human and partly Nexomon? Since I can actually understand Nexomon perfectly?" I asked, him groaning as I saw his eyebrow twitch.
"Just don't reveal too much too quickly. And keep any secrets she tells you, got it, Coco?" he said sternly, Coco nodding at that.
"I already promised that earlier, so I'll promise it again. But about her being half Nexomon... is that really half-true or all true?" Coco asked with a smirk.
"Ugh... I'll whisper it to you on the way, just because no one else can understand me in our friend group," I said, him nodding at that. We then finally left the house and proceeded to see Nora and Amelie chasing Ross down the path to the east. We then followed after and I then proceeded to whisper the truth to Coco. "The absolute biggest secret about myself and Dorothy is this... we're not just part Nexomon... but part Tyrant. Royal Tyrant," I said, that making his ears go up and for his eyes to go wide.
"Whoa... really?" he asked, me nodding at that.
"So, as such, that's why the dragon attacked us. They're made for hunting Tyrants and I am not only one of them, but one from the original bloodline of Omnicron... if you tell ANYONE about what I said, you will get your access to my home world revoked forever," I said, him smirking at me.
"Well, I may know the truth now, but I'd never break a promise to my best friend! Even if you were different than you were before, I still love ya and everything about ya!" Coco smirked widely.
"Really? No snappy comeback?" I asked.
"No, not right now. It'd ruin the moment," he smiled.
"Understandable," I smirked as we then proceeded to catch a couple different Nexomon in the grass (as in, I caught them and Coco sniffed them out) and we caught a couple different Nexomon in the form of Cruff, Zumble, and Mearn (the ultra rare Starter) as well as defeating a couple other Nexomon tamers on the way through the path... and when we did so, I noted that something had been different with my team. Anytime we finished a fight and got EXP, ALL of them got the EXP of the full fight, regardless if they were involved in the fight or not! It was awesome! Of the group, I decided that I'd add Zumble to the team, to make a balanced team of different types of Nexomon. And then, we reached one of the silliest things I noticed.
"Haha! Haha! One, two, three! Heehee! This is the best place to play this game!" said a little girl of about 8 years old... who was playing jump rope on a steel girder that was over a giant hole in the bridge... and looking down the bridge, it would lead her to not only falling down to the ground... but it was also directly over Grunda's Chasm!
"Um... I think I understand why it was called Nexomon Extinction," Coco frowned, me flicking him on the ear as I then looked at the kids and spoke up.
"Hey, why not play in a place that won't result in you falling to your doom?" I asked, the kids stopping their jumping game because of my voice.
"Um... what was that voice out of your mouth? It sounded a lot like a Nexomon!" the little girl said in surprise.
"She's uh... half human and half Nexomon. Only I can understand her... she asked if you could play jump rope somewhere else... preferably in a place where you won't fall from hundreds of feet in the air to be turned into a pancake when you hit the ground," Coco said, the kids only then looking down the hole and then moving away from it.
"I uh... didn't know it was so high... thanks... I don't think my mum would let me hear the end of it if she heard I was playing there. If I give you these, do you promise not to tell her anything?" the little girl asked as she held out at least 2 of every different food item! I then smirked at her.
"So long as you play somewhere else, I can agree to that," I said, Coco translating for me. The girl nodded as she then handed me all the food items and I smiled at Coco, who gained big hearts in his eyes.
"Thanks, miss! I think me and my friends can play... on the bridge leading to Parum instead! It's always watched by Tamers and we can even play in the water!" the girl smirked, me smiling at her as she and the other kids then went ahead and I followed after with Coco... and then, shortly after, we gasped as something happened we didn't expect. They got jumped by a couple different Nexomon!
"EEEK! HELP!" one of the male kids shouted, me then deciding to rush into the fray... as myself! The Nexomon in question were very tough ones, as they were a duo of Florozard! I proceeded to punch the one in the face, it being surprised at how I managed to do damage to it.
"Rgh... who are you?!" asked the one, me frowning at them.
"I command the both of you to leave these innocent bystanders alone!" I shouted, them being shocked at my voice.
"You... can speak to us?..." the one Florozard asked before then sniffing the air and then gawking. "T-Tyrant... Sorry, your highness... won't happen again," the other said, both of them then flying into the distance and the kids then looking at me in surprise... followed by excitement.
"You saved us! Thanks so much, miss! What's your name?" the girl asked, me smiling at them.
"Sunny," I said as I pointed at the sun and the kids then smirked.
"She said her name is Sunny," Coco smirked.
"Okiedokie! We won't forget this, thanks a ton!" the kid smirked as she and her friends then went to the north and then, finally, our group had caught up to Amelie, Nora, and Ross.
"Finally caught up with ya! Thank goodness..." I sighed in relief as the little kids then went up to Amelie with a smile.
"Miss Amelie! It was awesome! Miss Sunny and her pet kitty helped us big time! They saved us from some scary Nexomon!" the little girl said with excitement to Amelie, who looked at me and Coco with a smile afterwards.
"Well, look who's hoping to get some early recognition, haha! I'll be sure to put in a good word for you two, then," Amelie smirked, me smiling at that. Even if she was a real bitch, it felt good to know she was impressed by my rescue skills.
"Aww man!" Ross groaned as Nora smirked with a giggle.
"If we're done with chasing Ross, I suggest we go to Parum, then. We need to get our passes still," Nora smiled. And soon after, we walked forward to the giant walled city. And I still had to wonder if this whole thing was just a very lucid dream...
