Once we got to the darkened woods, we encountered a lot more Psychic and Ghost-type nexomon, which I managed to get some rare ones as well as some not-so-rare ones. Of the rarer ones, I got Gradow, Divette, Ponic, and Lovinu. And of the group, I decided that I'd put in Ponic over Sae, but only because ghost was a very solid type. Also, because of the fact that he was the highest level of my Nexomon as of current, not including Byeol. All of my basic Nexomon were just nearing their evolved forms, but Ponic only needed to level up once and he'd turn into the next form, that being Giddyelp. As for levels, all of my original Nexomon were up to level 13 or 14 and Ponic was at level 18. And Byeol was level 22.
"Looks like someone is preparing for war," Coco smiled at me as we finally got to the bridge that would lead us to the citadel... after defeating a good bit of Nexomon and Nexomon Tamers along the way. And then, we heard the commotion from behind us.
"OUT OF THE WAY!" shouted the voice of the 'thief' in Hannah, who I decided to grab before she could rush past us... only to gawk at how she was unfased and kept running down the road with me still having my arms around her waist!
"H-HEY! What's the rush?! And how are you so strong?!" I asked in shock. But when I did so, that caused Hannah to stop in place as she looked at me in confusion.
"You... you talk Nexomon?" she asked, me gasping at that and nodding. "I'm trying to get away from that mailman bozo. He says I stole his mail, but it was addressed to me!" Hannah growled, me looking at the letter in her hands and seeing it did say Hannah on it, with the last name of Fort. I then went to the mailman and he looked at me with a smirk.
"Oh, great! You got the thief!" he smirked, me frowning at him.
"The name on the letter is for Hannah Fort, right? Well, this is Hannah Fort," I said, Coco translating and him then gawking.
"Oh! My apologies, then... so who are you, again?" he asked, me smacking my face at that.
"Ugh... just go deliver mail to other people, would you? You don't need to worry about miss Hannah," Coco said.
"Oh, okay!... Speaking of, do you know a Sunny Dorothy, by chance?" he asked, me nodding at that and raising my hand.
"Me," I said.
"What was that? I didn't hear anything but a bark," the mailman asked.
"She said she's the recipient," Hannah frowned. The mailman then handed me the letter and I saw it was addressed to me... from Deena. I immediately opened it up and read it to myself, wondering what she had to say.
"Sunny, I need to talk to you about something very important. But I will only do so after you get your added powers from Eliza. And keep your trap shut to everyone but Coco and the mentor... and about your new partner, do NOT let any Guildmasters or Amelie know of him. Just having a Tyrant can make you a criminal. Sincerely, Deena," the letter read, me then putting it into my pocket and looking at the mailman, who looked at me with a frown.
"Wait, where'd that letter go?" he asked, me smacking my face at his denseness.
"It blew away in the wind... I think I saw it go that way," Coco said, the mailman then rushing towards the west, where Coco pointed. And I simply smirked and gave him a knuckle-bump for that.
"Thanks for the save, Coco," I smiled at him.
"Well, it's nice to know there are other half-breeds out there... but why do you not know how to talk English? Your Nexomon parent never taught you?" Hannah asked, me frowning at that.
"I was orphaned at a young age and never even met my parents, both human and Nexomon. I've found out how to talk, but I always say nonsense because I don't know how to do it properly... for example... Mel mel, mermermella," I said, her then smirking at me.
"Peh, I see why you don't talk English, at least. I can understand why you wouldn't want to say something as stupid as that," she said, me looking at Coco and him sighing.
"You said 'Why can poop suck lolipops?" he said, me smacking my face at that.
"Heh, don't worry. I had a few issues in the past trying to learn English, but my momma was very good at teaching me. She was a Lovidovi, you see. So what traits did you get? Because I learned how to sense emotions," she smirked at me.
"Well... it's kinda hard to find out a trait if I don't even know which Nexomon my parent was... we're actually going to visit Eliza the witch to see if she can teach me anything," I said, Hannah smirking at that.
"Getting a fortune told, eh? Heh, maybe I should stick around town, just so I can learn what your powers are when you find out," Hannah smiled. We then went into the citadel itself and it did look pretty creepy with the sky not having any sunlight, due to the cursed skies above us. We then split up with Hannah going to the shop and Coco and I went to the citadel, but not before healing our Nexomon at the healing house. And once we did so, we then went to the biggest building in the place, that being the one at the northernmost part of the citadel, it being the witch's manor. And of course, the gatekeeper ghost stopped us.
"Halt! No one may visit Mistress Eliza unless they can say the secret number," he said, Coco looking at him with a frown.
"Um... okay?" Coco said.
"It's a number between 1 and 1 million!" he said, me then feeling the number come into my mind. And it was different than the game... I think...
"184,923," I said, that making the ghost gawk.
"Impossible! You guessed it exactly! Come on in, then!" he said, me then looking at Coco in surprise, mainly for one thing.
"Is it just me, or are you a psychic?" Coco asked me.
"I'm more surprised at how he managed to understand me, despite me speaking in Nexomon talk," I said with a frown.
"Peh! That's because all ghosts can understand Nexomon half-breeds. You'd be surprised how many we come across, since Amelie got rid of interspecies relations," the old guy said as he led us into the manor, me looking surprised at that.
"Huh... neat," I smiled as we then walked up the stairs and saw that the little girl with the green hair was sitting with her back to us and her in a meditative sitting stance.
"Mm... I've been expecting you, being from another dimension," Eliza said as she turned around and I smiled at her.
"I expected you to know about that," I smiled. And Eliza?
"Heh, and as I expected, you don't know how to talk English properly... and if what I can sense in your mind is correct, you are expecting me to give you some specific powers that you couldn't get in the game, right?" she asked, me nodding at her.
"Yes," I smiled.
"Stick to using smaller words, okay? I can only understand basic Nexomon speak, so a simple yes is very good," she said, me smiling at that.
"Well, normally I would be sending you on a quest to defeat a bunch of rogue Nexomon, but I feel you're strong enough... and your kitty cat friend, Coco. You know to keep silent about this, correct?" she smiled as she looked at Coco.
"Yeah, I already know that," Coco smirked.
"Very well, then... I shall give you the powers of the Nexomon traits that you couldn't get in the actual game. You will now have the powers of Psychic, Ghost, and Normal. And I shall also unlock a small dictionary of language for you to use when speaking to others. You'll be able to use basic words to have short conversations with Nexomon tongue," she said, me then gasping as I felt all three of the powers flow into me all at once. It actually made me feel... rejuvenated! I felt lighter, more agile, smarter, and stronger! And I also learned basic words such as pronouns, how to say names, any noun possible that was 3 syllables or less, and I could use smaller words to link them together!
"Thanks, Eliza," I smiled in ENGLISH! FINALLY! And Coco gawked at that.
"Sweet! You learned how to talk!" Coco smirked.
"Just the basics," I smiled.
"Right. Try to stick to smaller sentences, otherwise your friends and enemies will get confused... but now, time to put your new powers to the test," Eliza said as she got up from her seated position and joined us. "In the next 15 seconds, a group of those cultists will come in and try to attack you. Use only your own strength against them, as you are part Nexomon, your whole team and you will get the Experience. And trust me, you'll need it," she said, that making Coco gawk.
"C-Cultists? W-Why are we waiting for them, then?" Coco asked.
"Don't worry, Coco. I can handle them," I smiled with my newfound English speaking methods! And for those wondering which nexomon I was talking of? It was Solus that I kept speaking in different ways when speaking, as that was my Nexomon name... and Dorothy's.
The window then got smashed as three different cultists came through, with one of them being the guy who looked like Gene Simmons.
"Hehe! Looks like we finally got ya, kid!" said the leader, me knowing that he completely dropped out of the story after this point so I simply spoke.
"I have a name. It's Sunny. What's you'rs, ass hat?" I asked, him then sneering at me with my name calling.
"What's an ass hat? I don't even have a hat!... But to answer your question, little lady, it's Tone E," he said, me smacking my face at that.
"So dumb... but I am not," I smirked as I then focused. Use my mind powers. And right after Tone E sent out his team of Nexomon to attack me all at once (only 3 of them) I proceeded to use a psychic burst of energy to grab all of his Nexomon AND the cultists with just my mind, making them levitate in the air and them to look at me in fear.
"W-W-WHAT?! L-Let us go, you bitch!" Tone E shouted as I then simply smiled.
"As you wish," I smirked as I then let them go... but only after I had them all hover outside the window. They then all fell down to the ground, me smirking at them from the balcony and seeing that all of their legs were busted. "How's the weather down there?" I asked with a mocking manner in my voice. They groaned and escaped shortly after as I noted that their Nexomon had been badly injured from my psychic strength.
"Hehe, excellent! You learn well," Eliza smirked at me.
"That was so cool... You just used telekinesis on them!" Coco smirked widely.
"Sure, but what does ghost and normal do?" I asked.
"Your ghost powers will allow you to do something that I would never be able to do, as I am not a royal Tyrant such as you. You'll be able to turn any cursed ghost into a living person just by touching them," she said, me gawking at that.
"Wait, wait, wait! I can cure the ghost plague that your teacher put on this citadel?" I asked in shock.
"Of course, you'll need to get the persons' permission before doing so, just to make sure they want to be alive or continue life as a ghost. I'll go ahead and give them a message while you leave this manor. Then it'll all be up to you to find these ghosts and return them to normal. Who knows, some of 'em might put in a good word for you," Eliza smirked.
"Wicked cool!" I smirked widely.
"As for the normal type, it'll allow your physical strength to skyrocket. Now, should you ever get into a fight, you can battle as your own self, no matter if you're in human form of Nexomon form... though, just know that using moves in front of guild members will make them suspicious, so make sure to only use them on criminals. And speaking of your Nexomon form, you should remember that you cannot achieve the transformation until you've gotten your birthright from all of Dorothy's dead aunts and uncles. So you'll need to search for their shrines and convince them to share their powers with you. Note, they may be more hesitant with you being... y'know, not Dorothy," Eliza explained.
"You can turn into a Nexomon in the future? Now THAT is something I want to see!" Coco smirked widely.
"In due time, Coco. In due time," I smiled at him. I then decided to give Eliza roughly 400 gold coins, which she smiled at.
"Thanks, this should help with the repairs to the window... here, take these for defeating those thugs and for helping the repairs expenses," she smiled as she then gave me at least 6 of every type of colored Nexotrap as well as some elixers and revives!
"Thanks, Eliza... for the reward and for the power-up," I smiled.
"You're welcome, weirdo... and yes, I do mean weirdo. I've seen the other games on your system... very odd choices... like, a game where you attack schoolgirls to make them lose clothing? What kind of-" she was about to say before I shushed her from saying anything more, but Coco had already heard her and started to look like he was about to die laughing.
"Ugh... thanks, now I have to explain myself to my feline friend..." I groaned.
"Don't blame me, blame yourself. You should've deleted it when you got 100 percent, but nope," Eliza said, me then resorting my flicking her nose and her frowning at me. "Hate the game, not the witch," she said with a smile. Coco, meanwhile, had finally managed to get the laughs out of his system and we then proceeded down the staircase, just in time for me to hear Eliza speaking... through our minds!
"Attention all ghostly citizens of our world. I am Eliza and I have a very important message for you all. I have discovered of a particular person that can cure the ghost afflictions you all suffer from. Simply touch the one known as Sunny Dorothy and she will return you to being a living and breathing person. She will ask each of you if you want to do so. So if you do not want to be cured of the ghost condition for whatever reason, do not hesitate to say no," Eliza said in our heads, which made me look at her gatekeeper and he looked at me with a small smile under his big beard.
"Is what she said true? You can heal the ghost curse?" he asked, me smiling at him.
"You want to be the first to try it out?" I asked, him then immediately touching my hand and, the moment he touched me, I saw an aura of dark purple emanate from my hand. And when this happened, Coco and I marveled at how the gatekeeper returned to being alive, but also young! He was now at least 30 years old instead of the old grump he was as a ghost!
"Whoa... it's amazing!" Coco gawked at it.
"Ya'll bet it is! I can finally touch my toes again!" he smirke as he did just that and then ran off into the mansion, me wondering what he was going to do before I decided to use psychic powers to see through the wood exterior... and I saw that he was trimming his toenails.
"What's he so excited about?" Coco asked.
"To trim his toenails.. and he's uh..." I was about to finish before I saw that he looked... way too into it. "Wow, uh, let's just get going, okay?" I said, him then snickering at that.
"No need to say anymore, I think I got it," Coco smirked.
"And no saying a word about what Eliza blabbed to you, got it? It's... it's a guilty pleasure because I'm into both genders," I said, Coco smirking at that.
"No worries, I'm actually into both as well," Coco admitted.
"Cool, we share something in common," I smiled as we then shared another knuckle bump. It was time to start being just like Jesus and healing the sick... except the sick in this case were ghosts.
