Once we returned, the citizens were at first surprised to see the cultists joining us, but I'd told them to take off their masks to soften the blow, which did the trick. And we then went into the guild outpost, and we saw that Saria was also surprised to see all of the cultists, Nexus, and Atlanta. So surprised, in fact, she almost had her mind do bad things, as she put it, but she calmed herself quickly.
"W-well... I didn't expect this... so... what's up?" Saria asked.
"A whole ton of paperwork, that's what. They're cleared of their criminal records of them just being worshippers of Omnicron. Some will still need community service for any crimes they committed that weren't so forgivable, but that'll be found out with your mind, I'm sure," I smirked at her, Saria smiling at me afterwards.
"Heh, she was right after all. You are a goody-two-shoes," she smirked.
"And who said that?" Coco asked.
"Some girl with blue hair and a surfboard. She said she wanted to talk to you and your gold rank friends down in the pool area," Saria said, me looking at the three others and smiling. We then went into the lower areas with the pool of water, and I could tell that the others were surprised at how she wasn't faded and more solid, like a real human.
"How come you're not a ghost right now?" Nolan asked her.
"We can materialize for brief periods. Makes it easier to fool the living, you know?" she smirked as she then sighed. "Well, here you go. Some of my powers," she frowned as I saw that she did as I asked and gave her strength to all four of us. And afterwards, Riley gasped as she then felt her powers increase.
"Oh my god... I feel... I need to try it," she gawked as she then breathed in a large breath and then, shortly after, she sent out a powerful blast of water that looked a lot like a hydro cannon! And it managed to make an incision in the wall across the room because of how powerful it was!
"Heh, so we can control water now, huh? COOL!" Nolan smirked as he then turned the water in the pool into ice and then Finn had the ice turn into vapor. And then I used my strength to make the vapor turn back into water and force the special item on the other side in the treasure chest to float over to me with some conjured waves for me to find at least 3 Workout Charms within.
"I feel I should say this to you now, Sunny. I told your friends that you knew of Amelie's location, so they're currently waiting for you at the orphanage. If I were you, I'd prepare for what is to come. Vados must not be allowed to survive," she said, me nodding at her.
"I'm just happy that you were able to give my friends some powers. And hey, maybe I could use this right here to get some possible surfing lessons in the future from you?" I smirked as I presented the blueprints for the resurrection machine.
"Wait, where'd you get that?" Finn asked.
"Nexus gave it to me on the way back. Don't tell Edward," I said. And that caused Merida to finally smile at me without the angry eyes.
"You'd be willing to bring me back to life... just so that I can give you surfing lessons?" she asked, me smiling at that.
"And I'd also like to face you in a volleyball match as well. Back in my time, I held the championship title for high school volleyball, and I want a worthy opponent," I smirked. That made Merida then hug me, which made me surprised.
"You may not be the real Dorothy, but I'm willing to be your aunt as well," she said, me smirking at that.
"Thanks, Merida," I smiled at her as the hug then ended when her spirit began to fade.
"I'll be waiting to be revived in Palmaya. I'll see you soon," she smiled before then disappearing completely. I then looked at the others and smiled.
"I'll see you guys soon. I'm going to go find Amelie and try to get it through her thick head about her crimes," I said, Riley smiling at me.
"Good luck. She's more stubborn than a Bullogan," she frowned. I then left the pool area and met back up with Byeol, Odiborg, Coco, and Atlas.
"We got the reward in the form of some more money and another dragon claw. It's for the dragon of wind, Tyrake," Coco smirked at me.
"So... why are those ghosts helping you? You do realize they did a lot of bad things in the past, right?" Atlas asked.
"I know, but I want them to have a good life in the end," I smirked. We then went to the orphanage via the warpstone and went inside, where we saw that the ones in the mentor's office consisted of Ross, Nora, Leo, Lydia, Eliza... and three others that I was surprised to see.
"Um... hi, Hannah," I smiled when I saw her among the three others. As for the other two? They were Videl and Deena!
"Hey," she smirked at me. "Surprised to see me? I wanted to join this adventure. I'm sick and tired of what Amelie's been doing to people I care about. I want to make her pay," she said, me then sensing animosity to her. And when I looked in her mind? It was all made clear. Her mother wasn't a Lovidovi. Her Nexomon parent was actually one of the ones that the dragons killed, and in Lateria no less. A Tyrant called Zeusana, who had the element of grass.
"I... I understand," I sighed.
"Yep. My momma was one of the nicest Tyrants ever. She didn't care about becoming the queen, she just wanted to protect me. But then Amelie's little science experiments killed her. They would've killed me too, but they refrained when they smelled my human scent. And since I was from Lateria, all of the others in the city treated me like shit when they learned that Zeusana was my mother, so I had to become a thief," she frowned.
"So... what did you steal, just out of curiosity?" Atlas asked.
"Just food and water. What I need to survive. I'm sure Leo had to as well, considering he's from dragon heritage," Hannah frowned.
"If you're wondering, I was the one to enlist their help. I figured that we could use more half breeds to assist us when going to face off with Amelie," Deena said, me smiling at that... but then?
"Don't forget about me, though," said a voice that I instantly recognized. Why? Because it sounded like me. We then looked around before we saw the spirit of Dorothy appear on the desk, which shocked everyone, especially the main duo of Ross and Nora, but also others like the Mentor, Hannah, Leo, and Lydia.
"W-What the hell?! A-Another Sunny?!" Ross asked in shock.
"W-What are you doing here?! I thought I told you not to show up too soon," the mentor growled at a small volume, but all of us could hear him.
"Does it really matter, mentor? She was planning on telling them anyways, right, Sunny?" Dorothy smiled as she simply floated down to me and smiled widely.
"Tell them anyways? Tell us what?" Nora asked in shock.
"U-Um... well... I didn't want to tell you, since I felt you'd think I was crazy... I'm not really the one you're used to... I'm actually an ancient ancestor to Dorothy... from over 3000 years ago, in the year 2021," I said, which made Leo gasp.
"Y-You're from that long ago?! You're an old bat!" he gawked, me frowning at him.
"No... it's more like I worked together with Eliza's mentor and Ziegler to spring her forward from her timeline to this one while she was asleep," Deena said. And everyone gasping was pretty much mandatory now.
"After the incident, we didn't tell her anything about what had happened. She didn't know a thing about how she got here, only that it involved Ziegler. We didn't, however, expect her to find out because of a random remark she quipped to Coco about the band KISS," Dorothy said.
"Is this for real?... Like, is this a dream?" Hannah asked with a gulp.
"Trust me, blokes. It's real. I should know. We happened to find Sunny's old room from when she was in her timeline, complete with a full set of video games from that era. A priceless artifact that she only wants to allow her closest friends to see, like me, Coco, or the rest of us pretty much," Videl said with a small smile.
"I still don't know what the hell's going on... but it's clear that she's just a ghost from the ghost curse, right? You could instantly heal her with your ghost powers, right?" Byeol asked with a small smile, me sighing at that.
"I could, but being a ghost gives me a couple benefits that I don't want to give up... besides, I'm sure you know of Sunny's and my true calling by now, right?" she asked, the group nodding at that.
"Yeah, she's a Tyrant, right? And she's of Omnicron's bloodline when in your place, right?" Coco asked.
"We knew the first part, but not the second. Though, honestly, with all the powers she's got, I kind of expected she was a different Tyrant... but royalty? That's probably the least shocking thing we've heard in the past five minutes," Hannah frowned.
"But what'd happen if you did get brought back to life?" I asked her.
"Then the Nexomon would go even more insane than they were before. Because they'd become confused at how there are two queen Tyrants around. I'd rather stay as a spirit, especially since Sunny can't really return to her own timeline," Dorothy sighed.
"But why did you go through all of this trouble just to bring her here? Is there some specific reason?" Lydia asked.
"One simple reason. But that secret is one that I'm sure she'd never want to reveal," Deena said, me gulping at that. I really didn't want to do that. I think the only ones I told the whole story to were Coco and Dorothy themselves, but I didn't want to show everyone else the truth!
"She's sweating. That means it's probably a very important secret... could you tell us, Eliza?" Nora asked, me sighing at that.
"No, don't... I'll tell you. It's because... tss... I knew of everything that was supposed to happen and that has happened thus far..." I sighed, that making the group around me shocked again.
"Y-You... For real?" Leo gawked.
"How is that possible?!" Videl asked in shock.
"Because... tss... this entire plot was in one of those video games... Nexomon: Extinction was the name of it..." I said, that making the others look at each other and then at me.
"Is it true? That's a bit too much for me to believe," Ross admitted.
"It is the truth. Favorite quotes from the game include {You can't stop me from making bad decisions!}, {I need you to delete my browsing history!}, and {Remember, a fully healed Nexomon tastes much better}." he said, using the voices for the different characters effortlessly, even the one from Cadium that spoke like an idiot.
"I... I remember saying the first thing..." Ross gulped.
"And uh... I remember hearing the second one when I got a job at the Immortal Citadel. It was after the New Ignitia incident, but before the Vados reveal incident," Nora gawked.
"But what about the third one?... and how does your Odiborg know?" Lydia asked.
"Because he played those games a lot while protecting my room. And Nexomon Extinction was one of them," I smiled.
"And that's also how I learned of this world's plotline... and why I knew that Amelie changed something majorly with Vados's design in that special time-travel computer chip. If he goes backwards in time at Amelie's orders, then the entire fabric of reality will collapse in on itself," Deena said while facepalming herself.
"And the third line? It's from where?" Hannah asked.
"One of the residents of Cadium. And that's where Amelie is hiding with Vados," I said, which made almost everyone look confused.
"Cadium?... What's that?" Leo asked.
"Another of Amelie's immoral acts. It was created by Atlanta when she was still with the guild, but when she objected to Vados, she was labeled a Renegade and Amelie then sent a toxin of sorts into the city. There are still people there, but all of them have been turned into idiots because of Amelie. We need to get down there, reveal that all of them have been in that city the whole time, and show the world that she's willing to even lie and say that the city sunk underwater ages ago to cover up her lies," I frowned, that making Lydia gawk.
"She did all of that to Atlanta?... No wonder she hates the guild more than all of the others... after losing your life's work and your livelihood on top of that... I feel I need to apologize to her..." Lydia said as I simply showed off the Nexotrap that I had that contained Nivalis. And the group looked at it in confusion.
"Um... what's with the Nexotrap?" Videl asked.
"I already spoke with Atlanta. And I managed to convince Edward to clear her of all of her crimes... and in response, she gave me control of her best bud," I said, which made Lydia gawk.
"You... you have Nivalis?! That's amazing! That's sure to help out big time when we attack Vados!" Lydia smirked widely.
"However, there is only one way to Cadium. As it's underwater, we'll need to use a submarine to get there. I knew that this would happen, so I'll lead you to one that I have set up nearby," the mentor said, which made Nora frown after he left the room.
"Is it just me, or did he seem to know about Dorothy beforehand?" Nora asked.
"Um... yeah, about that... it's because he's actually someone specific... someone I helped to slay a long time ago..." Atlas said, which got even more gasps.
"Please save all your gasps for the end... I'll say this now to get it out of the way. The mentor is actually the human disguise of Grunda, one of Omnicron's children, and the one that basically sunk a city, leading to Grunda's Chasm," I said, that making Nora smile.
"I had a feeling there was something up with him," she smirked.
"Lie detected, bzzort!" Odiborg shouted, me smirking at that.
"Let's follow him... I just hope he'll be willing to give me the powers of earth before we go after Vados," I said with seriousness.
"Well, if he does, then you'd only need one more. But I have no idea where he is," Deena frowned at me.
"We'll find out eventually, I'm sure," I said with a small wink. We then proceeded to leave the place and I felt like I could finally breathe easily... so long as they didn't use me as a fortune teller to find out the future, I'd be okay.
