So, I wrote this before we knew him as the Golden Guard, so for this chapter, I just called him the spy. Just deal with it.
The spy walked up to Emperor Belos and kneeled.
"My Lord, I have observed the Owl Lady and her apprentice." He said.
"Excellent." Belos said, "What have you learned?"
"It would seem that the Owl Lady has adopted her. It also seems that the Human, is not Human anymore. She's a vampire."
Belos' hands gripped the arm rest of his throne. It was no secret amongst the Coven that Belos despised Vampires. No one knew why, he just did.
"This complicates things. As you know, the Day of Unity is on the Vampire holiday of Blood-Fest."
"I am aware. Blood-Fest is an ancient holiday where Vampires would celebrate the Blood Moon." The Spy said.
"As you know, the Blood Moon only comes once every hundred years. If we don't have the portal by then, then everything we've worked for has been for nothing."
"What do you wish for me to do, Sir?"
"We can't kill the Vampire, from what I heard, she killed Alaric Bloodborne, she could easily defeat us. We need to keep her from finding out until it's too late." Belos thought for a second, "We need to keep her close, and I might have a way. In the meantime, call in my Hunter."
Belos smiled under his mask as his spy walked away. He had a plan, he just needed to wait a few days for everything to fall into place. In another part of the Isles, Lilith was on the brink of exhaustion. She closed the book she currently reading and took her glasses off. She rubbed her eyes and yawned.
"That's the fifth book tonight. Nothing on how to cure Vampyrism (Heh, heh, He said it!)." She looked at the time and saw that it was almost ten at night, "I should pick this up tomorrow. I need to get to sleep."
Little did she know, she wasn't the only one staying up late trying to work, only difference is, Skara doesn't need to sleep. Skara crumpled another paper and tossed it into the overflowing trash can. Each one was plan on how to tell her parents she's a vampire. Each idea she came up with was worse and worse. She heard the door open and tried to hide the papers. Her mom walked in and spoke.
"Skara, it's time for you to go to bed, it's a school night."
"Okay mom." Skara said.
"Are... are you working on a new song?" Her mom asked, seeing the crumpled paper balls.
"Uh... yes." Skara said.
Her mom smiled and hugged her.
"My baby girl, always taking after me." Her mom said, "But you can work on it tomorrow. Now get to bed."
Skara stood up and walked to her bed. She got in and her mom tucked her in. Her parents can be fairly strict, but they also try and baby her. Skara knows it's because they love her, but she's fifteen, she's not a baby. She's a vampire for Titan's sake, she's more powerful than most witches now. Her mom kissed her cheek.
"Good night, Skara. I love you."
"I love you too, mom."
She closed her eyes and waited for her mom to leave. Skara locked the door and opened her window. She jumped out and started to run into the woods. She had her claimed hunting grounds and it was dinner time, she really didn't have a choice. She ate dinner with her parents, but she doesn't get anything from normal food except an upset stomach. Which resulted in her vomiting during her hunt.
