Lilith watched Luz on the couch, she knew something was wrong.
"Luz, what's the matter?" Lilith asked.
"Aunt Lilith, you promise that you won't tell anyone what I'm about to say?" Luz asked.
"O-o-of course." Lilith said.
"The truth is, I'm not your only niece."
"What?"
"I had an older sister." Luz said, looking away, "She got into an argument with our mom, I don't even remember what it was about, it was about five years ago. She stormed out the door and... and... we never saw her again."
Luz felt tears swell in her eyes and Lilith pulled her into a hug and lightly rubbed her back.
"Everything will be okay." Lilith said., "I will be here for you as long as you need. Aunt Lily is here."
"I... I miss her so much!" Luz said.
Luz cried into Lilith's chest and hugged her. Lilith knew she should be looking through the books, but that can wait a minute, her niece needed her. Besides, what the worst that can happen in one afternoon? At Hexside, Skara sat at the table with Boscha, who was on the verge of swallowing a juice box through its straw. Boscha crushed the empty box in her hand and growled.
"Apple BLOOD my ass. It doesn't have anything more than a single drop of blood!" Boscha said, loudly, but no one even heard over the chattering.
"Boscha, calmed down, we can find a soluti-" Skara held her stomach in pain, "I... my hunger is getting worse."
Kat and Amelia sat down at the table and smiled at them.
"Hey, guys." Kat said, "How's the hand, Boscha?"
Boscha almost forgot about it, it was already healed, but she kept the bandages on so it didn't look suspicious.
"Oh, it's fi-"
Boscha held her stomach and hissed. She grabbed Skara's wrist and quickly walked out of the cafeteria. They went into the nearest bathroom and Boscha hit the wall, creating a few cracks.
"Skara... I don't think I'll make it. If I don't get any blood, I'll become Feral."
"Boscha, we'll think of something!" Skara sniffed the air, "There's a few rats on the other side of the school. If we can-"
"We won't make it there! We have minutes, at best!"
Boscha's Illusion spell wore off as she got closer to being Feral. Boscha leaned on the wall and slid down. Skara did the same and sat next to her.
"You realize, when we go Feral, everyone in the school is basically dead." Skara said.
"I know." Boscha said, "Including us. We're trapped inside because of the sun, and it would only be a matter of time before we get over powered."
Skara held Boscha's hand and smiled at her, flashing her fangs. Boscha's did the same.
"Then I'm glad to go down with my best friend." Skara said.
They heard the door open and Amelia and Kat walked in.
"Guys? What's going- oh, my Titan." Kat said.
"What happened to you two?" Amelia asked.
"What do you think happened? We're fucking Leeches!" Boscha said "And if we don't get blood soon, everyone will die, because we'll become Feral."
Amelia kneeled down and pulled up her sleeve. She held out her arm towards them
"Bite me."
