Skara got up and walked to the door.
"Skara, are you okay?" Rebecca asked.
"Yeah... I just... I need to speak with one of my friends about this."
She sprinted away and made her way to Clawthorne Manor, ignoring all the creatures she would usually prey on. She knocked on the door and Lilith answered.
"Miss Melody? What are you doing in the sun? Please, come in." Lilith said.
Skara walked inside and Lilith pointed up the stairs.
"Luz should be in her room. It's up the stairs, to the right, third door on the left."
"Thank you." Skara said, her voice cracking.
Lilith knew something was wrong, but she also knows that Skara didn't know her that well, so it wasn't likely that Skara would even open up if Lilith tried. Skara walked up the stairs and found Luz's room. She knocked and Luz opened it.
"Skara?"
Skara took a few steps in and then launched herself at Luz. She wrapped her arms around her and cried into Luz's chest. Luz put her arms around Skara as she cried, confused, but her friend was upset, it's up to her to help.
"Skara, what's the matter?"
"There... there was... a Vampire Hunter. He attacked my house and parents." She started sobbing again, "I killed him! I had no choice!"
Luz rubbed Skara's back.
"Skara, you had no choice." Luz said, "If you didn't, he clearly would've killed you and your parents."
Skara continued to cry and Luz just let Skara cry. Luz was the same way after she almost killed Amity, she couldn't even imagine what would happen if she actually managed to kill someone. Luz led Skara over to her chair and sat her down.
"Okay, Skara, you just sit her and cuddle with Floppy." Luz placed a stuffed bunny in Skara's arms, "I'll be back in a minute."
Luz walked out of the room and down the stairs. She pulled out the paper she was given earlier and went to a... phone? She wasn't too sure what it was, but it was made out of bones and worked like one. Luz dialed the number and let it ring for a few minutes.
"Miss Clawthorne, glad to see you kept the card. Have you thought about my offer?"
"Yes, you said that hunting vampires would become illegal?"
"Yes, is there any reason you're asking?"
"One of... one of my friends was attacked. They almost killed her and... I'm willing to accept your deal."
"I'm glad to hear it. All you have to do is wait while I make it official."
Belos ended the call and smiled under his mask.
"If I may." Belos looked at Golden Guard, "Why did you only go after the Bard girl?"
"It's actually quite simple. Her family is wealthy and well known, but they don't have any political ties. If they were to be attacked, then there wouldn't be any possible fallout." He said, "Now, I sent a hunter after the Triplet family, it could be dangerous and be very damning to me if it got out."
"And what about Mavic? The Triplet family patriarch. I've heard he's pretty abusive."
"Well, that's different, if he was to die from... his daughter, for example, then that would clearly be self defense and we could manage to spin that in our favor." Belos said, "But for now, we have to form the Shadow Coven. This is a great day, we can keep an eye on her while working on the plan."
Luz walked back to her room and saw Skara holding the bunny plush close.
"Hey, Skara, everything will be fine." Luz said.
