Luz stood in the door of Hexside. She was told that she can walk in the sun with this uniform, but she still doesn't want to test that.

"Luz, start walking." Boscha said.

Boscha pushed her out and Luz froze for a second. She looked at her body, she wasn't burning.

"I'm not smoking. Guys, the uniform woks, come on."

Skara and Boscha walked out and into the sun.

"So, we basically can never take these off." Boscha said.

Luz saw Lilith and started to walk away.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow."

Luz got on Lilith staff and they flew away. Boscha and Skara look at each other.

"So, want to hang out?" Skara asked.

"I wish I could, but my mom wanted to talk to me after school." Boscha said, "I have to get home."

"Oh, okay." Skara said.

Skara saw Amelia and Kat and ran over to hang out with them. Boscha kicked the ground and started to walk home. She was going to take her time. Lilith landed outside the Manor and Luz walked in.

"Hey, Kiddo."

"Mom, you're back!"

She ran and hugged Eda.

"Yeah, I'm here, and I think we need to have a conversation." Eda said.

Luz and Eda went over to the couch.

"Kid, Lily told me you met with Belos."

Mom-"

"What were you thinking? You can't trust him. He's a liar and a tyrant. Why would you accept this deal?"

"Because, I almost lost my friend." Luz said, "I did it because I want others to be safe."

"Luz-"

"I couldn't let others get hurt! It's all my fault that they're in this situation in the first place! I can't let them deal with my mistakes alone!"

Eda grabbed Luz by the shoulders.

"How is any of this your fault?"

"I... I couldn't stop Alaric before he turned them! It's my fault that they're like this!" Luz cried, "And... I just want you to be cured. I can't lose you, I lost too much family already, I can't lose any more."

Eda pulled Luz into a hug and calmly stroked her hair.

"It's okay, baby. Mommy's not going anywhere."

Eda let Luz cry, knowing that trying to say anything wouldn't work at the moment. Later, in another part of the Isles, Boscha made it back to her house.

"No more avoiding it."

Boscha opened the door and walked in.

"Mom? I'm home!"

"I'm in the kitchen!" Elizabeth said.

Boscha walked to the kitchen and saw her mom at the table.

"What are you doing?"

"Oh, I'm just trying to sort out stuff because of your father. Trying to get everything in my name and what not." She put a paper down and looked at Boscha, "So, let's not beat around the bush. You're a vampire."

"Yeah, I drink blood, have fangs, did the three red eyes not indicate something was wrong?" Boscha said, clearly annoyed.

"Boscha, I know I've been very distant ever since... Becky, but-"

"But, what? You'll be a better parent? I've heard that a thousand times."

"Boscha, if you would-"

"Where was that 'Better Parent' when I broke my arm when I was seven? Where was that 'Better Parent' on my tenth birthday when I had to take refuge in Skara's house because you forgot to pick me up from school during a Boiling Rain storm?" Boscha asked, getting angrier with each one, "Where were you, last year, on my thirteenth birthday, when I was getting raped by my own, fucking, father!?"

Elizabeth just let Boscha yell. Boscha glared at her mom for a minute until she closed her eyes and started crying.

"I've heard you say that same thing so much, I can't trust you. How do I know you'll actually mean it?"

Elizabeth hugged Boscha and let her cry.

"Because, this time, your father can't stop me."

Boscha, hesitantly, wrapped her arms around her mom and cried into her chest.

"I'm sorry you have to have a horrible, broken, daughter." Boscha said.

"No, I'm sorry that you've had the world's worst mother."
