Boscha and Willow were walking for a while when Boscha spoke.
"So, can you tell me where we're going now?"
"You'll see soon." Willow said, "Ah, here we are."
Boscha looked up and paled.
"A-a-a therapist?" Boscha asked.
She had a hard enough time accepting everything that's happened in her life. Having to tell it to a random stranger? This wasn't going to work.
"Willow, I don't know if I can do this."
"Boscha, I promised I would help you grow as a person, but I can't help you overcome your past." Willow grabbed Boscha's hand, "But I will be there for you. Just try it."
Boscha looked at the ground.
"Why?"
"Why, what?"
"Why are you helping me?" Boscha asked, "You have every reason to tell me to pound sand, but instead, you're helping me. Why?"
"Because, after everything you put me through, I still never could forgive myself if I let someone suffer. I can't just stand by and let that happen."
Boscha felt her eyes get wet.
"I don't deserve it." Boscha said, "I should get a stake to the heart."
"You do deserve it, damn it! You deserve to be happy, you deserve to have a life, you deserve to be you!" Willow said, "Please, just give it a try. I'll be here for you."
Boscha looked at Willow.
"Okay. I'll try."
Willow dragged Boscha inside. Willow walked up to the counter and smiled.
"Hi, Auntie." Willow said.
"Hi, Willow. Is this the vampire you were talking about?"
"Yes, she is. Is the... special therapist I requested in?"
"She is. I'll go let her know you two are here."
Willow and Boscha sat down and waited.
"Who was that?" Boscha asked.
"That's my aunt Rose. She owns this place. I asked her to get a special therapist for you."
"Who?"
"You'll see."
After a few minutes, the door opened and Boscha was called in. Willow grabbed Boscha's hand and led her into the back. The closer they got to the office, the bigger the knot in Boscha's stomach got. She unscrewed the thermos with shaky hands. She started to drink it in attempt to calm herself down. She nearly drank the entire thing by the time they got to it. The therapist had them take a seat and looked at Boscha.
"So, what brings you here today?" She asked.
"You mean besides the wall with legs?" Boscha asked, pointing at Willow.
"Boscha, she means, what problems are you facing?"
"Oh, that."
Boscha stayed quiet and looked at the floor. The therapist looked at her and got a good understanding of what's going on.
"You were abused, weren't you?" She asked.
Boscha nodded her head.
"Listen, nothing you say in here will be revealed." The therapist smiled at Boscha, "Do you understand?"
Boscha saw the therapist's teeth and gasped.
"You're a vampire?"
"I am. A special request from Miss Park." She said, "And I'm always here if you need to talk."
"I... I had to kill my father." Boscha said, "A-a-and I don't feel bad about. Does that make me a bad person?"
"Well, that's a difficult question. What has he done to you?"
"What hasn't he done!? He beat me! He whipped me! He burned the family crest into my back! He... he... he-"
Boscha started to tear up at the thought of it and Willow held her. The therapist understood how bad she was hurt.
"Well, I have my answer. That doesn't make you a bad person, you put up with all of that and are still here. I think that makes you pretty strong and incredibly brave." She said, "I knew many people who weren't able to fight back like you did. In the twelve hundred years I've been alive, I've lost a lot of people to things like this."
Boscha looked at her.
"Is it wrong to enjoy killing?"
"Yes, killing is a horrible thing, but the harsh reality is, sometimes you have no other choice. The real question isn't if it's wrong to enjoy killing, but rather, is it okay to feel nothing for killing someone that wants to hurt you?"
Boscha closed her eyes.
"I... I don't feel sorry. In fact, I wish I caused him more pain." Boscha said, "But... I shouldn't spend another moment feeling sorry about it."
"Now you're getting it." The therapist said, "I think you've made a lot of progress already. Stick with your friend and I think you'll get through this in no time. And please, come see me anytime you need."
She hands Boscha a business card and Willow and Boscha leave.
"Willow."
Willow looks at Boscha, who kicks the ground and seems to have a hard time saying this.
"Thanks. I... I don't know what I've done to deserve this."
"Boscha, you came to me, wanting to change. That's enough for me to give you as much help as you need." Willow said.
Boscha did something that Willow didn't expect. She hugged her. Willow returned the hug and reach up to Boscha's hair. She pulled away, while undoing Boscha's bun, letting her hair fall.
"I think you look better with your hair down." Willow said, "I'll see you tomorrow."
Willow gave Boscha a small kiss to the cheek and quickly walked away. Boscha blushed and lightly touched the place Willow kissed. She smiled. Not some small smirk or fake one, a real smile, for the first time since she was a kid. She turned and started to walk back to her house. Willow, meanwhile, was having a hard time understanding why she did that.
"What's wrong with me? Why did I do that? I've never done something like that. I've never felt like that." Willow's eyes widen, "No. No, you are not falling in love with your former bully. Right?"
Willow walked back to her house, trying to ignore these thoughts.
