Amity looked at her older sister, in pain on the ground. Amity started moving back as Odalia got up, an evil smile forming on her face.
"See what you did you monster?" Odalia asked, "Poor Emira, she now has to deal with this curse because of you."
Amity felt a sob try and come out of her throat, but she forced it back down and sprinted out of the manor. Odalia smiled only to turn around and see and angry Emira. Amity made it to the Owl House in record time. She ran straight through the door, surprising Luz, Eda, and King.
"Amity, what's the matter?" Luz asked.
"I-I-I... I accidently bit Emira." Amity said.
Luz got up and hugged Amity.
"It's okay." Luz said.
Amity broke the hug.
"No, it's not! I ruined her life!"
Amity started crying and fell to her knees.
"Amity, just tell me what happened." Luz said.
"I... I was about to... kill my mom." Amity admitted, "I was about to pounce on her and drain her of all her blood, then right as I was about to pounce on her, Emira got between us. I was so blinded by rage, I didn't realize that I sunk my fangs into her until I heard her scream."
Luz and Eda shared a look.
"I'm a monster!" Amity said, "I hurt someone that has been nothing but helpful to me!"
Luz kneeled down and cupped Amity's face.
"Amity, look at me, you are not a monster. You were being taken over by your Blood Lust. It's happened to me, it's a natural thing that fledglings have to deal with." Luz said, "Amity, try and remember, this is Emira, the same girl who has tried to help you on several different occasions."
"W-w-what if she hates me?"
"Amity, that isn't possible. You are the single, most pure hearted, person I know. If Emira hates you, then she doesn't deserve you in her life."
A loud crack of thunder rang out through the sky. Luz had a wide smile on her face.
"Why don't I show you one of the perks of being a vampire?" Luz suggested.
In the woods, the two vampires ran through the pouring rain, smiles wide on their face.
"I never knew rain could be so fun!" Amity said.
"Like I said, a perk of being a vampire, is being immune to Boiling Rain." Luz said, "Now let's go hunt down some of the animals that are immune to it."
They spent the next hour running, hunting, and drinking. Luz looked up from the animal and noticed something. The shadows on the top of Amity's hair, making it look pure black, the blood staining the sides of her hair, all giving Luz an idea.
"Hey, Amity, how do you feel about your hair?" Luz asked.
"My mom makes me dye it."
"How about we dye it something different?" Luz asked, "Something more... you."
