Skara, Boscha, and Willow were alone in the classroom.

"So, this is the Shadow Track home room." Willow said.

"Yep, it's dark, shadowy, peaceful. Everything a vampire needs to train." Skara said

"Don't worry, Babe, you'll get used to it." Boscha said, "You're an intelligent and powerful person, you'll get the hang of this before you know it."

Boscha and Willow moved closer and gave each other a small kiss. After a minute, Luz came in.

"Willow!" Luz ran and hugged her, "I'm so glad to see you up!"

"Luz, I was only out for a few hours."

"That's so long in best friend years! So, anything interesting happen since you woke up?"

"Well-"

Boscha walked over, grabbed Willow's face, and pulled her into a large kiss. Luz looked on in shock. Boscha moved away from Willow and looked at Luz.

"That answer your question?"

"That one, yes, but I have so many about your new look Boscha."

"Well, to put it lightly, I wanted a change."

Luz rolled her eyes.

"Well, I also have some news." Luz said, "Introducing, the newest member of the Brood... Amity Blight!"

Amity walked in and their eyes immediately went to the hair. Instead of the bright green that everyone was accustomed too, the top was black like the shadows, the sides were red like blood.

"Speaking of change, holy shit." Boscha said, "That looks so cool."

Amity rubbed the back of her neck and smiled.

"T-t-thanks. Luz and I thought it was time for me to change. I'm not going to let my mom force what color my hair is."

"I think it looks nice." Skara said.

"Thank you, Skara." Amity said, "I'm not the only one with a change. Boscha, you look like a nerd."

"Well." Boscha wrapped an arm around Willow's waist, "My girlfriend likes nerds."

After a few minutes, Miss Night came in.

"Sorry I'm late class, I was looking for the right book for today's lesson." She looked and saw Willow and Amity, "Ah, I see there are two more little members of the brood."

"Yep, this is Amity and Willow." Luz said.

"Well, it's nice to meet you two, now, let's get class underway." Miss Night started to write on the board, "Today, we'll be talking about Blood Substitutes."

Miss Night opened went through a bag and pulled something out. A bag full of small, red, berries.

"Anyone want to take a guess at what these are?"

Willow raised her hand.

"Blood Berries?"

"Correct. Blood Berries are a very common berry that can be found around the Isles. This is one of the few foods that witches, demons, and vampires are able to share." Miss Night tossed it in the air and caught it in her mouth, "And they are amazing."

In another part of the Isles, Belos opened a door to a rundown building. The guards in charge of the guarding the building bowed to him. He paid them no mind; he was beyond furious. Odalia had failed to kill Amity. He should've known she would never kill her, even if she was fine with abusing her. This is why she has never been accepted into the Emperor's Coven. Right now, he needed to blow of some steam. He opened the door to the cell that held the only prisoners. The two chained up girls were blinded by the light coming into their dark room. Belos slammed the door behind him. At the school the Brood was leaving the room, Skara, Amity, and Boscha walked ahead while Willow and Luz went to their lockers.

"So, Amity, what caused you to pick those colors?" Skara asked.

Amity froze. She thought back to the previous night, how she bit Emira, how she was so close to killing her mom.

"I... it's to remember my first hunt." Amity said, "Now never bring it up again."

Amity began to walk away.

"It was just-"

Amity looked at them with glowing red eyes and barred fangs.

"Ever." She growled.

Amity continued to walk away while Boscha and Skara looked at each other.

"I think she drank some bad blood." Skara said.

"I think she has bad blood." Boscha said, "Come on, you know how she gets when she's angry."

I woke up to some bad new today. My grandmother... died in her sleep.
