Amity and Luz arrived at the Owl House after school.
"Mom, we're back!" Luz said.
She didn't get an answer, instead, she found a note on the table in the living room. Luz picked it up and began to read it.
"Luz; King and I had to leave for the night to go get potion ingredients, be back in the morning. Try not to bring the house to life." Luz had an annoyed look, "It was one time."
"So, we have the place to ourselves?" Amity asked, getting close to Luz.
Luz placed her hands on Amity and pulled her close. They were about to kiss when another note appeared between them. Luz took it and read it.
"And tell that Blight Girl to keep her bats out of your belfry."
They blushed and looked away from each other.
"I-uh... will go upstairs and get a book to read." Luz said, using her Shadow Travel to disappear as soon as possible.
Amity was left alone for a minute, in silence, until there was a knock on the door. Amity walked over and opened it.
"Hel- dad!?"
In another part of the Isles, Skara was a bat, hanging in her bat cage. She found out a few days ago, from Miss Night, that there were ways around the whole, vampires can only sleep in coffins problem. So, when she found out that she could sleep as a bat, her parents immediately helped her look for a cage that she deemed appropriate. Skara was ecstatic, she actually really enjoyed being in the bat cage, her dad even fitted it with a water feeder filled with blood. Was she weird? Yes. Did she care? No. Despite being in her cage, she wasn't sleeping, she was thinking. Who was that person that saved them? More importantly, why did they save them? She dropped down and flew out of the cage opening. She turned back and opened the window. She was going to find out, no matter what. Back at the Owl House Amity took a step back as her dad entered the house. Usually, Hooty would stop someone, but when she looked at him, he was chewing on an abomination toy that Alador gave him.
"Amity, if you will-"
"Get away from me." She said.
"I'm not going to-"
"Get away!"
Before Alador could say something, he was slammed on the ground by an angry vampire that was hiding in the shadows ever since she heard Amity start talking.
"Give me one good reason I shouldn't drain all of your blood!" Luz said.
He simply put his hands against the floor.
"I didn't come here to hurt her." He said, "I came here to let her know I had her mother arrested."
