Alador and Edric came running when they heard Amity scream. The saw Emira with a stake in her chest.
"Edric, call a Healer." Alador said.
Edric nodded and went to contact a Healer. Alador walked over to Amity and put and arm around her. Amity was on the verge of crying.
"It's all my fault." Amity said, "I bit her and... and..."
Amity broke down and Alador held her close. He said we would try to be better and he damn well meant it, it was time for him to be a father.
"S-s-she'll be okay, Amity. I promise." He said.
He knew that might not be a promise he can't keep, but he needed to calm her nerves. He held her until Edric came back to tell them the Healer is on the way. In another part of the Isles, Luz and Boscha untied their sisters.
"I can't believe it." Luz said, before grabbing Lucia by the shirt collar and shaking her, "I thought you were dead!"
"If you don't stop shaking me, you will be." Lucia said.
Luz let go of her shirt and hugged her.
"I missed you so much."
"I missed you too, Light Bulb" Lucia said, "How's mom?"
Luz got stiff and let go of the hug.
"She... she was murdered."
Lucia felt her heart drop.
"What?" She asked, "Luz, what do you mean? You're joking, right?"
"I wish I was." Luz said.
Luz was struggling not to cry as the image of her mom with a knife in her stomach popped up in her mind.
"W-w-when did this happen?"
"Less than a month ago." Luz said, "It was all my fault! The person that killed her as trying to get to me!"
Lucia pulled Luz into another hug. Luz cried into her sister chest as Lucia rubbed her back. While this was happening, Boscha was talking to Becky.
"Wow, haven't seen those glasses in a while." Becky said, "How's our parents?"
"Mom's fine, dad's dead."
"Oh, well, such a shame." She said, "Fucker deserved it."
"How are you feeling, Becky?"
"Well, I'm starving I haven't eaten in like a week." She said, "Hospitality isn't something they have here, they only feed us once a week."
"Let's get you home." Boscha said, "So much has happened. Mom and her girlfriend will be so happy about this!"
"What about your friend?" Becky asked.
Boscha looked over and saw Luz, still crying over her mom. She walked over to her and put her hands on Luz's shoulders.
"Luz, it wasn't you fault. It was Alaric's, you never asked for this to happen."
"Maybe if I never came here, then she would be alive."
"Then he would've taken over the Isles and killed thousands." Boscha said, "You don't understand just how important you are to everyone that knows you. You saved the Isles from Alaric, you found my long lost sister, you found your sister, you're the reason that I'm dating Willow, Amity and I would still be forced to live life like bullies, my mom wouldn't be dating Lilith if it wasn't for you showing up. That's only a fraction of the good you've done. You've helped practically everyone on the Isles. Luz, I'm glad to be your friend, and when my mom marries Lilith, I'll be even more glad to be your cousin."
Luz hugged Boscha and Boscha smiled.
"Thank you." Luz said.
"I'm the one that should be thanking you."
