Eda put a bowl in front of Lucia.
"Listen Kid, I can see your ribs through her shirt, so you're going to eat and put on a little weight. After that, I'll see if I can get you a job at my stand." Eda said.
Lucia grabbed the bowl and started eating. It could be rat poison for all she cared, as long as it was edible.
"Damn, Kid, I thought your sister had an appetite." Eda said.
Lucia put the bowl to the side.
"I didn't eat anything edible for... geez, I don't even know how long I've been a prisoner." Lucia said, "The only thing I ate was the occasional corpse they would throw in. Even knowing I would throw up everything, I would eat it, because I was starving."
Eda flinched. She had no idea how bad it was.
"I ate rotting flesh to stop being hungry. I drank blood to satisfy my dry throat. I-I-I... I'm ashamed to admit that I... that I actually liked it." Lucia said, "I spent years as a cannibal and I liked it!"
Eda knew that wasn't normal, so she decided to press for detail.
"Did they ever... experiment on you?"
"Every once and a while, they would inject us with something. They said that we were good first attempts, but we were failures."
Eda did something she didn't want to... she put a sleep spell on Lucia. She pulled out a needle and took a blood sample from Lucia. Eda had a theory, but she wanted to test it. She placed a blanket over Lucia and went the, formerly Triplet, Charling Manor. She knocked on the door and Lilith opened it, wearing nothing but a robe.
"Don't you have a job?" Eda asked, "Or pants?"
"What I do with my Soulmate is my business." Lilith said.
"Whatever." Eda said, "Is your fuck buddy here?"
Lilith started blushing.
"Yes, why?"
"Because I need to talk about her oldest."
In the castle, Belos received the news of the escape.
"So, the failures escaped?" He asked, "No matter."
He stood up and went to the dungeon. He walked over to a cage and stared into the darkness. A thin, pale arm, with flesh falling off reached threw the bars and tried to grab him. The owner of the arm let out a shriek.
"It's time to let the working model out."
At the Charling Manor; Lilith, Eda, and Elizabeth were looking at blood from Becky and Lucia.
"Okay, I may not know what Human blood looks like, but there is definitely something wrong about their blood." Eda said.
Lilith moved her away from the microscope, that Eda totally didn't steal, and looked at the blood.
"She's right." Lilith said, "Wait, I've seen this before. No, it couldn't be."
"Yeah, keep us in suspense." Eda said.
Lilith moved away from the microscope and looked at Eda.
"They were using them for a forbidden experiment. They were trying to turn them into-"
Belos watched as the creature walked out of its cell. The creature saw him and let out a high pitched screech. It ran at him and was stopped when it reached the end of its chain. Belos smiled at the ferocity of the creature in front of him. A creature that feasts on flesh and blood.
"Ghouls."
