Eda flipped through the pages. Getting more confused with each page. This wasn't just a conspiracy, this was beyond treasonous.
"This... what the fuck?" Eda said, beyond confused.
"Yeah, that's what I was thinking." Lucia said, "Looks like we know what they are using those Ghouls for."
"What the fuck is wrong with him!?" Eda screamed, "Does he have any idea how many people he will kill?!"
"That's what he wants." Luz said, turning to Skara, who's been very quiet since getting here, "Skara, where did you get this file?"
"From that mysterious masked man that saved us a while ago." Skara said.
"Then that means I need to talk to him." Luz said, walking to the door, "I'm going to go look for him, I'll be back before sun rise."
"Wait, Luz." Skara said, "I'm not going to let you go out there alone."
"Skara, it's too dangerous for-"
"I know where is home is." Skara said, "I can lead you there."
Luz looked at her, clearly too annoyed to deal with this.
"Fine, lead the way."
Skara and Luz ran into the rain, leaving the Owl House behind them. Eda sat on the couch and ran her hands through the black hole called her hair. She was in her own thoughts until a bowl was in front of her.
"Chip?" Lucia asked.
Eda gave her an annoyed look.
"Really?"
"What? I'm a background character for the time being." Lucia said
Lucia tossing a chip up and catching it in her mouth. Eda got up and went to her room. She dug out her crystal ball and started it up, with everything she learned, she needed to talk to Lilith.
"Edalyn, so help me Titan, if you interrupt-"
"You can go back to your little fuck buddy later, I just learned something that might change the Isles forever."
After a few minutes, Skara and Luz managed to get to the cave entrance.
"Alright, it's through here." Skara said.
Skara and Luz went into the cave, shaking their bodies like dogs after a bath to get the water off.
"So, now all we need to do is find him." Luz said.
"Who's to say he hasn't found you?"
The looked up and saw the man holding onto the roof with his hooked staff embedded into the cave roof. He let go of the staff and dropped down.
"I was wondering when you would show up." He said.
"I just got your folder and went through it. Where did you get it?" Luz asked.
"Let's just say... I've spent a lot of time looking for anything that could ruin Belos." He said, "When I noticed that a vampire hunter and a vampire royal were communicating, I had to look into it."
"That leads to my next question." Luz said, "Who are you?"
He looked past Luz and looked at Skara. He let out a breath and reached up for his mask. At the Owl House, Lilith was finished being told what Luz learned.
"That's...that's... fuck." Lilith said.
"I need to come over tomorrow and talk about this in detail." Eda said, "I think it goes without saying, that no one can know about this."
"Agreed."
Unknown to either of them, an elderly looking man stood outside in the rain.
"It's not time for them to know."
He walked back into the woods... where a stray Ghoul was waiting. It pounced at him from behind, but he stopped snapped his fingers. The Ghoul fell to the ground in agonizing pain before exploding in a bloody mess. He simply continued walking away from the Owl House.
