The man took off his mask, revealing... a kid, no older than fifteen. He had pale red skin, short horns sticking out of his head, blue eyes, claw scars on the lower part of his face, going across the edge of his lips, and he had short, spikey, red hair.
"Alright, I'll bite, am I supposed to know who you are?" Luz asked.
Skara slid passed Luz and walked up to him. She had a memory find its way to the front of her mind.
A small kid sat alone in the corner of the Baby Class, reading a book about colors. A girl peered over the top of it.
"Hi, I'm Skara!"
"H-h-hi, I'm... I'm Max."
"Well, Max, I'm going to be your new friend!" Skara said.
"M-M-Max?"
"Hello, Skara." Max said.
Skara hugged her long lost friend, thinking he was dead for almost four years. Luz looked on in confusion.
"Can someone explain what it going on?" Luz asked.
Skara let go of the hug and turned to look at Luz.
"This is Max, my old friend that I thought was dead was several years." Skara said, "I was devastated when he went missing. There's so much I need to tell you!"
Luz gave the two a minute to catch up, while she walked around the cave, where she found Max's pet. Luz hasn't seen him since he saved from those hunters a while back. This was the first time she's seen him this up close, she saw that it resembled several different types of dinosaurs from back in the Human Realm.
"Alright, let's see." Luz looked over the large feathery reptile, "It seems to have the body of a Yutyrannus, with the arms and sail of a Spinosaurus. The tail looks to have a large ankylosaurus club, and the head looks to be that of a carnotaurus. The proto feathers are a dark green color, with the turning to a maroon color near the tail. Seems simple enough."
"Not true."
Luz turned around and saw Max.
"I thought I left you with Skara?"
"She's had to go hunt." Max said, "Anyway, I see you've taken an interest in Jho. He's one of a kind, quite literally. I found him frozen in ice, the last Saurian."
Max grabbed Luz's hand and put it against Jho's proto feathers.
"He's... so soft." Luz said, "So, I was told a little about Saurian before I was bitten. What kind is he?"
"He's called a Demongosaurus. He's called that because the horns on the head resemble the horns of the early demon."
"Anything special he can do?"
"Well, he can retract that sail, he can run at fast speeds and he can change color." Max said, "When these roamed the Isles, his breed was the Apex Predator. Now... he's my only family."
"I assume Belos is responsible for that?" Luz asked, "And that's why you have been trying to ruin his reputation."
"Yep." Max said, "He... he Petrified my parents and forced me to watch."
