Luz returned home in the morning, several sticks in her hair, her clothes were ripped, and her body was coated in blood. She walked in, noticing that the door wasn't open, it was on the ground. She found her mom and sister sleeping on the couch.
"Uh, what happened last night?" Luz asked.
Eda groaned as she woke up. She rubbed her eyes and looked at Luz.
"Jeez, looks like you had a rough night, Kid." Eda said, "You should go clean up."
"I had a rough night?" Luz asked, "Would you like to explain what happened here last night?"
"Well, long story short, Belos sent Ghouls after us."
"What!? Are you okay!?" Luz asked.
"Well, we're still alive." Eda looked at Lucia, "Well, I'm unsure if she's actually alive or dead. Cannibals have never really been classified honestly."
Luz shook her head, she didn't have time to deal with this, she had to prepare, the Blood Moon is less than two weeks away. Luz walked up to her room, removing the sticks in her hair. She still needs to talk to Miss Night about the Blood Moon and talking to the dead thing she was interested in. She got into her coffin and closed the lid, she needed to rest a little, she was exhausted. She closed her eyes and let sleep overtake her. In another part of the Isles, at the Emperor's Castle, Belos was working on the portal. They can't use it naturally, due to the size, so they needed a frame to amplify it.
"Just a few weeks until we have everything." Belos said, "If only Alaric could be here to see this."
"Truly a shame, but we'll be able to avenge him."
"I have to say, what do you think about your brothers new... form?" Belos asked.
"It's about time that he finally is under the control of someone that can handle his anger."
"Tell me, Fitz, what do you think about the other girl that was dug up?"
"I was pretty sure they're non-binary." Fitz said.
"You really think I care? A few days ago, it was a rotting corpse underground, now it's whatever I want it to be." Belos said, "I asked a question."
"You, told me that you weren't going to use Them for a Ghoul. So, what are you going to use Them for?" Fitz asked.
"Oh, something that will break the Owl Lady." Belos said, "Would you like to see?"
"Gladly."
The two walked into a room labeled 'Secret'. The two looked at them and smiled.
"This will definitely hurt the Owl Lady." Fitz said.
