Eda shoved Raine away and went to help Lilith. She tackled her mom and held her down, while Lilith was able to overpower her father. Raine watched, wanting to see what they do. Eda slammed her mom against a tree.
"You may look like my mother, but you aren't." Eda said.
Gwendolyn growled at Eda, trying to bite her. Eda threw her mom to the ground and pulled out her crossbow. She lined up the shot... but couldn't pull the trigger. Her hand shook as Raine got into her ear.
"Would you kill your mom?" Raine asked, "I thought I knew you. I didn't know you were a murderer. Shame."
"I... I'm not-"
"Edalyn, don't listen to them, they are sent by Belos, the whole point is to make you drop your guard and give up!" Lilith said, trying to get out of her dad's grip.
Eda dropped her cross bow, unable to do it. Raine smirked.
"See, I knew you wouldn't-"
Raine was cut off when Eda punched them. Raine was sent to the ground and Eda looked at them.
"You may look like Raine, but you don't have their heart." Eda said, "The Raine I loved died, they died saving me, something that you never did!"
Eda walked towards Raine but was cut off by her mom jumping on her. Eda flipped on her back and put her legs up. She kicked her mom off and got up.
"I don't want to hurt you, but I will." Eda said.
Gwendolyn growled at Eda and charged at her. Eda ducked and tripped her. Eda straddled her and held her mom's arms against the ground.
"Mom, if there is even a sliver of you left in there, please. I am begging you, please, try and remember who I am." Eda said.
Gwen stared at Eda. Eda noticed a brief moment of remembrance, before it was swiped away.
"Please mom, please remember me."
"It's no use." Raine said, grabbing Eda by the hair, "Anything that once separated her from everyone else died with her. All that's left is what Belos wants, a Ghoul that can be controlled."
Raine threw Eda by the hair, forcing her to the ground. Raine pulled out a knife and smirked. They slammed the knife down on Eda's stomach, making Eda scream in pain. On the other side of the battlefield, Lilith was pressed against the tree and was trying to avoid getting bitten by her father, when she heard Eda scream. She looked and saw Eda with the knife in her stomach.
"Edalyn!" Lilith screamed before turning to her father, "Get. OFF!"
Lilith kicked him and knocked him to the ground. She ran at Raine, only for Raine to grab the knife and spun around, hitting Lilith in the cheek with the knife, making a deep cut on her face.
"Oh, Lilith. Pretty little Lilith." Raine said, "Ever since Belos brought me back to life, he told me about so many wonderful things... things about you."
Raine leaned down and whispered into her ear.
"Like how you cursed her. Imagine how mad she'll be when I tell-"
Raine was knocked to the ground and looked up.
"Leave... my girls... alone."
