Chapter 5: You can run but you can't hide
Redstripe got up the next morning and felt quite a lot better. But he wasn't quite ready to battle the ComputerClan warriors. He decided to try and find the non-evil RiverClan, the one without those rogue bastards that ran him over and turned him in to the ComputerClan warriors. It was gonna take a while, but if he got back there then maybe he could prepare for an attack with his...
Family...?
It was at this moment that Redstripe remembered what happened to his family.
They were all gone. (Trigger warning - I did NOT write this as a joke, but some people might find it as a lot to take in.)
Redstripe's mother died in a car crash. His father overdosed on drugs and alcohol. His brother went to jail and was murdered by his cellmate. His sister joined a strip club in 2013 and was never heard from again. His grandmother had been a hoarder for several years and eventually died of a heart attack. His grandfather died from brain cancer. His aunt and uncle both committed suicide after their divorce. Some of his cousins joined other Clans and others just left.
This nearly made him cry, but he kept it in. Now was not the time for sob stories. Even without his family and Clanmates, he could still take on the ComputerClan warriors. As these memories flooded in, he remembered an ally Clan that his old Clanmates teamed with in several wars long ago. It had been 20 years, but GalaxyClan still existed, Redstripe was sure of that. And he knew exactly where they'd be at this time.
204 picoseconds later...
This was it. GalaxyClan's camp. Redstripe immediately ran into the GalaxyClan leader, Starstar, who happily greeted him. What a difference from ComputerClan!
"Oh, hello there Redstripe. I do believe I know why you're here. We've been preparing for the ComputerClan attack as well. No worries, chap." Redstripe smiled. He always thought it was funny how Starstar called him "chap".
"Yes, but we need to do this shit like NOW because they've been following me everywhere and they're probably here righ-"
Redstripe couldn't even finish his thought before the huge TV screen lit up and the unmistakable face of Circuitstar appeared.
"YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE, PUSSY CATS! HAHAHAHA! WE'RE COMING TO GET YOU RIGHT NOW, SO I RECOMMEND LEAVING THAT PRECIOUS LITTLE PILE OF SHIT THAT YOU CALL HOME BEFORE WE BLOW IT TO BITS! GET READY, IDIOTS! WE'RE ON OUR WAY-AYYYY!"
Now, everyone was thoroughly spooked. Redstripe acted fast.
"Guys! We need to leave! I know they want us to do exactly that, but if we go quick enough, we might be able to outrun them! Everybody start gathering your important belongings, because we might never make it back here!"
At this, the GalaxyClan warriors started flooding out of the camp like a swarm of bees. Starstar, Redstripe, and the GalaxyClan deputy, Supernova, stayed behind to see where the ComputerClan warriors were. It didn't take long for the three warriors to see several cats quickly speeding toward the camp. And as they got closer, Redstripe noticed that there were lots of them. Probably over a hundred. This wasn't good because GalaxyClan's population wasn't even close to a hundred. And to top it off, the warriors had several kinds of weapons, like guns, knives, chainsaws, you name it. Redstripe noticed about 250 warriors before they stopped appearing and Starstar ordered him and Supernova to follow the GalaxyClan warriors.
As Redstripe ran from the sinister ComputerClan shits, he remembered one quote: "You can run but you can't hide". He tried to push it to the back of his mind but he knew it was true. Sooner or later, he and GalaxyClan would have to turn around and take on the ComputerClan warriors. But nobody was prepared! The goal seemed impossible. A miracle would need to happen to save them from this threat. Redstripe just wanted to live a normal life!
