"I still can't believe you ate what I left out," Deeks complained as they arrived at his place. "Why on earth didn't you wonder why it was even there?"
"Hey, it was food and it was the middle of the night. I wasn't going to question the availability of food when I was starving," Kensi replied defensively.
"Starving is a bit of an overreaction and you are so going to get poisoned one of these days," Deeks sighed, shaking his head in disbelief.
"How on earth did you come to that conclusion?" Kensi demanded as she opened the car door to get out.
"You have literally no will power when it comes to food," Deeks informed her, closing his own door.
"I do so have will power."
Deeks shot her a 'really?' look.
Kensi shuffled in her seat.
"OK, maybe I don't," she admitted, turning around to lock the door. "But it's only for tasty food."
"So, you're saying that I should be happy that you're stealing my leftovers because it tastes good? Your standards aren't exactly the highest Miss Breakfast-Burrito."
"Technically, it was the leftovers of your leftovers. And yes. Also, breakfast burritos are awesome."
"I still think that's nasty and them being tasty doesn't make it any better."
He completely ignored the burrito statement. Some things weren't even worth a response and that was one of them.
Kensi rolled her eyes as he fumbled with the keys to his apartment. She was carrying their Chinese or else she would have snarkily offered to pick the lock for him.
"I didn't know they were already leftovers," she complained, shrugging her jacket off. "And excuse me, I'm not the one at fault here. You were the one who 'stole' your own leftovers! And you blamed me!" she said, folding her arms and glaring at him. "I am not the original guilty party here."
"You're hardly not guilty."
"I'm innocent of the crime you were blaming me for," she informed him smugly, dumping their food on the table. "And you were the guilty one all along."
"You know, I'd feel more like I'd have to make it up to you if you weren't borderline crowing at me," he informed her. "Do you want to eat here on out there?" He absent-mindedly asked, waving a hand in the direction of his living room.
"Got a movie to watch?" She checked and at his nod added, "In there then?"
"Sounds good," he responded, grabbing proper forks and pouring out drinks as Kensi untangled their food from the tightly tied plastic bags. The ice clinked against the glasses.
"And you should be trying to make it up to me. You falsely accused me!"
"For good reason!"
"Some Detective you are," she teased.
Deeks pulled a face at her as they settled into their usual positions on his couch, their food spread out in front of them.
"In my defence in nearly any other case you would be the perpetrator."
"I would not," Kensi defended vehemently with a pout.
"You've done it before!"
"After asking you about them. Which I obviously didn't do this time."
"Fine, you didn't steal. Happy now?" Deeks retorted petulantly.
"Infinitely."
She still had that smug smirk on her face. It was infuriating. He couldn't be having that, could he?
Kensi shrieked as he lunged towards her and his fingers found her ribs. She was so ticklish which he ironically found hilarious.
"D-Deeks, s-stop it!" she gasped out trying to squirm away.
He managed to get at her armpits, making her double over and trapping them together. Deeks winced. She had some wicked strength in her arms, she was somehow managing to crush his fingers.
"Deeeeeks," she whined threateningly, still squirming.
"I can't exactly move my hands, Kensalina," he pointed out.
That got him a glare but she did intense her arms so he could just about get his hands free. He could help but chuckle when he looked at her. There were tears on her face, those shirt curls that framed her face had come loose and her shirt was rumpled. She looked thoroughly ravished even though she was wearing too many clothes.
"What was that all about," she demanded, trying to catch her breath.
"Your punishment," he told her with a smirk.
"For what?"
"For being far too pleased with the whole situation," he said stubbornly.
"You're the guilty one. You should be the one being punished."
"Oh, really?" Deeks asked, voice lowering. "And how do you plan on doing that Miss Blye?"
She smirked and leaned into him, her lips closing in on his. She had somehow managed to straddle him, pinning him to his couch so he couldn't meet her in the middle.
Kensi stopped millimetres from contact and said triumphantly, "This!"
In one smooth movement she had seized the ice cubes from her drink and slipped them under his collar.
"Argh!" he yelped as she sprung off him.
Kensi bolted off the couch and got into the hall before he managed to catch her (ice cube clattering to the ground behind him) around her waist. She fell into him, eyes bright with laughter and rested her head on his chest.
"You'll pay for that," he swore.
"Promises, promises," she said lazily, looking up at him with a grin.
"You got me all wet," he complained with a pout, wriggling slightly as he felt phantom ice cubes trickle down his back.
"I think that's meant to be my line," she said, shifting slightly so she could poke him in the chest.
He grabbed her hand and kissed the tips of her fingers making her blush violently. Oh, she really was adorable.
They stood in silence for a bit, just soaking each other up.
"You know," Deeks said slyly, placing his hands on the wall on either side of her so he was looking at her properly. "Even if you weren't the original thief, you still stole..."
"So, what are you going to do with me, Detective?" she asked him sultrily, trailing her fingers down the side of his jaw.
A look of pure lust crossed his face before he whispered in her ear, "I'm sure I can think of something."
