Sunset Shimmer Demon in LA Chapter 2 Holy and Unholy
The alarm clock blared loudly, waking up Sunset quickly as she yawned like crazy and looked over in the closet to see a button down vest with some open finger gloves and black leather pants, she didn't know how they got in her closet but at this point she didn't care about that.
How did you sleep Sunset?
"I slept well actually, I feel like my energy has been rejuvenated" Sunset said.
Good, now I did sense an angel nearby last night while you slept, I do believe it was one named Gabriel
"Gabriel? What the hell does he want?" Sunset asked.
No idea but it has attached itself to someone but I can't pinpoint who
"Maybe when I head to the lab, I can give you a good signal so you can pinpoint who Gabriel inhabited," Sunset said.
Very well
Sunset grabbed her badge along with her other things that also included her lab coat. She began to drive towards her job, she noticed that it was entirely different, like it transformed into a sort of wholesome laboratory. Sunset couldn't believe what she was staring at, after she used her keycard to enter the building noticing that when she swiped her keycard, instead of it showing her name rank and department like it's supposed to, it labeled Sunset as a sinner wanting to be cleansed.
"That's very odd," Sunset said.
2 armed guards showing pure white eyes turned their heads to stare a whole into Sunset, who thought the staring was very creepy. The guards then walked up with their guns drawn to fire at Sunset, she got to her car in time before she got hit by any of the bullets.
Don't worry you can take these guys
"Thanks for the vote of confidence but I don't have a weapon" Sunset said.
Summon a weapon
Sunset extended her arm and planted her hand on the ground, a red glowing pentagram appeared and Sunset pulled out a red and black katana, the same katana Sunset had back home.
"Whoa that's amazing" Sunset said.
Now put it to good use
Sunset nodded and popped out from behind her car and began to attack the guards. One of the guards tried to hit Sunset with a nightstick but Sunset dodged it and sliced the guard in half, another guard tried to sneak attack but was stabbed constantly from Sunset's sword.
As the guards laid there dead from their injuries, a golden like liquid secreted itself out of their mouths which grossed out Sunset but this was something she could use in an experiment.
"It's going to take a guess and say that this is the angel's blood" Sunset figured.
Yes and it's the source of their power, it's best if you burn the body or else it will spread like a disease
Sunset at first felt bad for the fact that these guards were being controlled by angels hellbent on "purifying" the world but on the other hand, this could be a way to help these guards from having to commit self delete so Sunset lit a match and soon enough the bodies were burned alive until there was nothing but ash.
"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust" Sunset recited, walking back to her car and driving away.
Angel Adagio watched as Sunset drove away after burning the guards to dust in the wind. A bitter smile tried to process on her face but was replaced with anger at Sunset.
That demon is far more clever than I anticipated before, is there anything that might give us a fighting chance? Gabriel asked.
"I do believe we do, that pendant in the upper lab beside the testing area phase 3" Adagio replied.
Then that's where we're going Gabriel proclaimed.
Adagio walked over to her lab quarters and stared at the red glowing pendant, sitting there undisturbed. Adagio typed in her 4 digit code to release the red pendant, she grabbed it and put the choker necklace around her neck as the crystal glowed, causing Adagio's eyes to glow bright red then return to its natural color.
"Whoa this feels really good," Adagio said.
Suddenly, she noticed some guards walk over to her as a green mist filled the floor, the guards bowed down to their new queen of angels.
Seems like they worship you Gabriel said.
"I could get used to this, but first I should make this place more...my speed," Adagio said, smirking.
Sunset was looking at her mirror and checked her back and noticed bat wings tattooed on her back. It didn't freak her out or anything, at least not after what just happened so this wasn't the scariest thing she had seen.
I know that you never done this before
"Trust me I have never killed people before but there was one time my demon power went out of control" Sunset recalled.
The Fall Formal?
Sunset nodded and parked her car in front of her apartment, remembering why she has this power in the first place. She reached in her glove compartment and pulled out a picture of Twilight and the others when they all graduated from high school. Tears began to flow down her face as the memory of what she left behind.
"I do miss them but first things first I have a job to do here first" Sunset said.
Then let's go save the fucking world
Sunset backed up from the parking lot and began to drive down the road to another store and walked inside, purchasing a short vest like shirt and some dark red gloves then returned home.
So is this going to be a new costume or something?
"In a way yes only I refuse to wear a mask, that's just overkill" Sunset said.
That's fair
Sunset looked at her new found materials piled on her bed, she knew she had to save LA from literally being the city of angels. A creeping thought lingering in Sunset's mind was that she won't be able to save the city from the angels but she pushed that thought out of her mind and put on her outfit and even grabbed her katana.
Adagio watched as more angels descended from heaven one by one, as people willingly let them in and prayed for them. That put a smile on her face, she noticed 2 guards brought a family of 4 visibly shaken up after being raided.
These humans are non believers, they must be punished Gabriel said.
Adagio opened her hand and pulled out a pistol and pointed it at the family and fired 4 precise shots in point blank range at the family and guards dragged the bodies away.
"Sunset is still out there, she is a demon that should be terminated at once and I'll be the one to do it" Adagio expressed as she stared at Sunset's photo for Employee of the Month.
With my help of course Gabriel chimed in.
Adagio nodded and left the room, smirking and walked outside to see a bunch of angels bowing to her.
"Your primary target is Sunset Shimmer, she is the new devil and she must be terminated by any means necessary" Adagio shouted.
The angels cheered before flying away and beginning their search for Sunset Shimmer.
