Luci awoke with Satoshi tied behind his back. He looked up to find Zack dragging him to a robed cultist.
"Do you have him?"
"Yes, we have him."
"Bring them to Bella."
Luci was dragged further into whatever the hell he was to a young woman. The rotting smell of dead dogs and foot fungus was enough for Luci to pass out.
Luci caught his breath sometime later. He then looked around to find Peter and Satoshi sleeping soundly at a cabin the three used as shelter. He curled up next to Satoshi's warm body and slept next to him like a cat.
Peter awoke first to find Luci and Satoshi sleeping like a couple. He couldn't help himself but stare at them. He started off by going to his bag and getting out the supplies. Since they didn't have heat, they can eat only sugar cereal and milk left by the river nearby for refrigeration. By now, Luci and Satoshi awoke.
"You're awake...: noted Peter.
"So what's our plan?" Luci said.
Peter, Satoshi, and Luci had escaped the cannibals and were looking over what had happened.
"Zack said something about an escape area he could take us too, maybe we can get there before he does. But only Zack knows where it is."
"I guess we better leave now." Satoshi suggested.
Peter went over to his bag. As he rummaged through the supplies, he then noticed a sheet of paper he hadn't seen before. He took it out and noticed a note.
"You need this more than we do." muttered Peter.
It struck him.
"Who wrote that?" Luci asked.
"No clue. Probably Jack." Peter suggested.
On the sheet of paper was a set of numbers. Coordinates. Peter took out his own map to jot it down.
"We better leave." Peter said.
When she made sure that Zack wasn't looking, Courtney secretly met up with the group.
"So how did you make sure Peter will find us?" Jack asked.
"If he's alive, I made sure to leave his bag behind in case he found it. I looked at Zack's map, copied down what he marked on it and sent it to Peter. Super easy!"
"Zack's coming back..." June noted.
The group changed the subject to avoid suspicion.
"My group's found her." Zack said.
"Found who?"
"Quinn."
"They really found her?" Courtney said, not buying but playing along.
"Yep. I can bring her up on the radio."
A few seconds later, a familiar voice appeared.
"Hey..."
"Quinn!" Everyone said with a sigh of relief.
"Where are you?" Quint said.
"I'm safe with a group of people. They seem to know how to escape this place."
"Don't move, we're heading over to your area." Zack replied.
"Copy that." A voice said.
"Let's move!" Zack stated.
"So that's why you left?" Luci asked.
"Yep. Apparently, getting the last copy of Super Mario 3D All-Stars gets the people rolling." said Peter.
"Deep lore." Satoshi joked.
"Hey, tell that to the guy who lost two of his friends and had to accept them leaving!"
"Guys, let's keep moving!" Luci said, breaking them up.
"Is that a ruined factory?"
That was the first question Courtney could muster as her group set foot.
"I have them here, guys." Zack said.
Out of the shadows of one machine came Quinn. Several members of Zack's group appeared armed and ready.
"Quinn!"
Everyone ran up to embrace her.
"We were so worried about you!" Jack said.
Quinn nothing something off.
"Where's Peter?"
"He got slaughtered by the cannibals." Zack said with sadness.
Quinn said nothing at first. But then acted with sorrow. "Oh no..."
"But didn't you hate him?" One of Zack's group pointed out.
"I never wanted him dead."
"Well, we have to accept it for now." Zack said.
As they saw Zack's group enter, Peter and his friends came up with a plan. Or at least, tried to.
"What's wrong?" Luci asked.
"I don't know."
"You don't know?"
"I just don't know okay? I don't know how are we going to break in."
"Let's just follow them, I mean we could expose Zack."
"Fine."
Before approaching the factory, Satoshi noticed a dark cloud behind them.
"Looks, like a dark storm is coming."
"Alright, now that we found Quinn, how do we get out?" Quint asked.
"Just look over here by the wall." Zack said.
"Yeah, not gonna do that." Jack said.
"What?"
"There's not even a helicopter to take us out, you can do better than that." Courtney replied.
Zack was getting really annoyed.
"Get the helicopter."
"Wh-what?"
"Get it now."
"Um, okay sir."
One of Zack's men left. A gunshot rang out.
"What the? Search the area!"
"Huh?"
"You five!"
Five of Zack's men left the factory.
"There's no one around." One of the men said.
"Keep looking. There's got to be someone around..."
Up in the trees was a dead body dangling upside down.
"Someone's out here!"
"Correction..." A demonic voice said. "More of us are out there."
"Show yourself!"
"Very well."
It was all a flash, a zombie burst out of nowhere to devour one of Zack's men. The rest gunned the zombie down. The sound of gunshots alerted zombies to them. This gave Peter, Luci, and Satoshi time to escape as they left Zack's men to the walkers.
"He'll be here for us, I know it."
Peter approached the factory with Luci and Satoshi with the zombies on their trail.
"He's not coming here! He's dead!"
"That's Zack." Luci whispered.
The three entered to find the rest of Zack's men patrolling the area. Chained up zombies were attached to prevent anyone from entering. Then, it gave Peter an idea. He snuck up to one chained up zombie and released it. He then went to another and released that one as well.
"One of them broke out!"
The group used this as an opportunity for distraction. They approached more chained up zombies while Zack's men were already fighting off the ones that are freed. The battle of the undead vs the living became the undead's easy war.
Peter, Luci, and Satoshi made their way to the roof of the factory. They silently watched as Zack shot off a flare.
"Zack!" shouted Luci.
Zack noticed the three.
"Where are the others?"
"Right here!" A voice stated.
From behind Luci, Satoshi and Peter, the three encountered a young woman and her men holding Peter's friends at gunpoint.
"Who are you?" Peter asked.
