Ch 4 They Meet Again

"Tojo?" Simba whispered, shocked to see his old friend walking towards him.

"Hey there Simba," Tojo said with a smile. "Hey guys. Its good to see you all again."

"Likewise," Tama said, after the initial shock wore off.

"Its always good to see you buddy!" Malika exclaimed, embracing his friend.

"Its always good to see you too Mal'," Tojo said with a smile.

"What are you doing here Tojo?" Simba asked. Then he noticed Mwanga and Vumbi there. "And who are they?" Simba demanded, his voice becoming a low growl. "I don't like strange lionesses in my Kingdom."

"I know you don't Simba," Tojo said. "This is Vumbi and Mwanga. They're uh...friends of mine." Just then Vitani peaked her head around Tojo's leg. Simba saw the cub and a small smile went across his face.

"And who is this little one?" Simba asked, smiling down at Vitani, who stared at him with wide blue eyes.

"This is Vitani," Tojo said as he too smiled at the cub.

"Oh Tojo she's adorable," Nala cooed, bending down so she was face to face with Vitani. "Hello Vitani. I'm Nala."

"Hi," Vitani whispered. "Its nice to meet you."

"Man 'Jo I never thought you'd be a dad," Malika said with a slight laugh. "But I gotta admit you've got one cute kid there."

"But she's not..." Tojo began.

"Yes she is quite adorable," Simba said with a nod. Then he looked up at Vumbi and said, "I assume you must be Tojo's mate."

"Yes I am," Vumbi said with a nod.

"Well I assume you want permission to live in the Pride Lands again," Simba said.

"Simba that's not..." Tojo tried again.

"Tojo you and your mate and child are more than welcome to stay," Simba said with a smile. "And of course if your friend wants to stay she's more than welcome to stay as well. Any friend of yours is a friend of mine."

"What is he talking about Uncle Tojo?" Vitani asked, clearly confused. "Mother wouldn't like that."

"Wait did she say Uncle Tojo?" Simba demanded, looking at Tojo.

"Uh yeah she did," Tojo admitted. "Vitani isn't my daughter Simba. She's my niece."

"Niece?" Simba repeated. "As is Zira's daughter?"

"Yeah," Tojo said softly. "She's Zira's daughter."

"So Zira is back after all," Simba said, his voice barely a whisper.

"Yeah she is," Tojo admitted. "And that's actually why we came. Zira wanted to know why you, Nala and Sarabi are sniffing around the Outlands."

"Oh she does does she?" Simba said, his voice much louder. "Well Tojo you can tell your sister that she should keep her son in line and out of the Pride Lands!"

"Simba you seam angry," Tojo said carefully.

"I am angry!" Simba snarled, causing Tojo to jump slightly. "You lied to me Tojo! You know I can't stand liars!"

"I never lied to you Simba," Tojo declared. "Its not my fault you jumped to conclusions."

"Well you can tell Zira that the next time I see her son in the Pride Lands it won't be pretty!" Simba thundered. "And that goes for you and your friends too!"

"Simba please don't..." Tojo began. But he was cut off by Simba's furious roar.

"Get out of my Kingdom!" the golden lion roared. "All of you! If you ally yourself with Zira then you are now welcome here! I hereby banish all of you from the Pride Lands! If any of you step one paw on my lands it'll be the death of you! Am I clear?!"

"Yes Simba you're clear," Tojo said, bending down and picking up Vitani. "Lets go ladies." With the the group left, heading back into the Outlands.

"Simba," Nala began.

"I don't want to talk about it," Simba snarled. "I just wanna go home!" With that Simba whipped around and headed back to Pride Rock with a shocked and concerned Nala, Sarabi, Tama and Malika right behind him.

A little while later Simba and his friends had arrived back at Pride Rock. "Simba I think we should talk about what just happened," Nala said.

"Nala I already told you I don't want to talk about it," Simba growled.

"Simba you knew Tojo went with Zira," Malika said carefully. "I mean did you really think that his loyalties wouldn't still lie with her."

"You believed it to Malika!" Simba shouted, causing Malkia to jump. By now the rest of the Pride had come out of the cave to see what was going on. "You were fooled by him too!" Simba continued. "So don't act like I'm the only stupid one around here!"

"Simba you're not stupid," Nala said. "I don't think Tojo was intentionally deceiving you."

"He sure as Hell was Nala!" Simba cried out. "He's been around Zira most of his life of course he was lying and deceiving us! And it almost worked too!"

"Simba Tojo confessed everything to you," Tama pointed out. "He could have kept up the misunderstanding and took you up on your offer to live in the Pride Lands but he didn't."

"Tama do yourself a favor and don't defend him," Simba growled, glaring at his tan coated friend. "Cause that will only make me more angry."

"Simba I wasn't," Tama began. But Malika put his paw on his mate's shoulder and shook his head.

"We'll leave you be Simba," the brown coated lion said. "You need some time to process this." With that Malika and Tama left, leaving the still furious Simba alone with Nala and Sarabi.

"Um Sarabi would you mind if I spoke to Simba alone?" Nala asked, looking over at her mother-in-law.

"Of course," Sarabi said with a smile. With that she gave her daughter-in-law and son nuzzles and left them alone.

"Simba I know you're upset," Nala began. "And I don't blame you. I'm upset too. But you have to think about the good things here."

"Like what?" Simba demanded, giving his mate a look.

"Like our cub that's on the way," Nala said with a smile. "That's something wonderful to look forward too isn't it?"

"Yeah," Simba said with a sigh. "It is. I'm sorry Nala. I way overreacted here."

"Simba you're exhausted," Nala said, giving her mate a nuzzle. "And you've received a lot of heavy information today. Of course you're emotions are all over the place. I think once you get a good night's sleep you'll fell so much better."

"Yeah maybe you're right," Simba said. "I am pretty beat."

"Come darling you should eat first," Sarabi said.

"Good idea Mom," Simba said. With that Simba, Nala and Sarabi went to get some much needed food and rest.

Meanwhile back in the Outlands Tojo, Vumbi, Mwanga and Vitani had returned only to be met by a very unhappy Zira. "Well?" Zira growled. "Did you see Simba? What the Hell did he want?"

"Damn Zira calm your ass down," Tojo growled, glaring at his sister.

"Don't speak to me like that!" Zira snarled, baring her teeth at her brother. Vitani gasped in fear and ran to the log and hid behind Nuka.

"I'm not in the mood for your shit Zira!" Tojo snarled back. "Simba wasn't to happy to learn that you were back so he sent a warning."

"And what's that?" Zira demanded.

"He said if he sees you or anyone from our Pride in the Pride Lands he'll kill us," Tojo said. "Oh and I've been officially banished from the Pride Lands because of you and Simba probably hates me. So thanks for that."

"Why should you care about that?!" Zira snapped. Then her red eyes widened and she let out a growl. "Unless you're on his side. Is that it Tojo? Are you on Simba's side and playing me for a fool?!"

"Zira don't be stupid," Tojo said, rolling his blue eyes. But this was the wrong thing to say. Zira let out a roar of fury and slammed Tojo to the ground, digging her claws into his neck.

"Zira no!" Vumbi cried out.

"Zira please," Tojo pleaded, struggling to get a breath as his sister applied pressure to his throat.

"I'll kill you you traitor!" Zira thundered, raising her paw to kill her brother.
