Episode 10: If You Can't Take The Heat
Our Competitors became hunters, and the hunted, Evan's game was way off. And when he finally caught wind of his prey, he totally blew it. In a weird and strangely watchable twist, Christian and Jasmine turned they're paintball guns on each other. It was a full on wrestle for the 2 Bass, unfortunately for Jasmine, Christian got his alliance to vote her out. The Bass have lost 3 straight. The Bass have lost 3 straight. Can they bounce back? (Outside the Bass Cabin - Lamar, Caleb, and Evan)
"I think it's time to make a move," Lamar said.
"What do you mean?" Caleb asked.
"Nick and Brenda are the power duo, I can get Christian and Caroline to vote for them as well which would make it 5-3" Lamar explained.
"That actually sounds like a good idea," Evan said.
"What about Faith?" Caleb pointed out.
"Nick has Faith in his pocket, but we don't even need her vote." Lamar said.
"Hey, do you guys want to mess with the others?" Evan asked.
"What do you have in mind?" Caleb said.
Evan smiles and the scene fades away.

Lamar - Me and Caleb don't really wanna vote off Brenda or Nick right now, but i'm keeping my options open so i can decide what i wanna do if we lose.

(Beach)
The fourteen campers stood in front of Chris as he explained the challenge. "Today's challenge will test your minds, your teamwork, and your skills in the kitchen. You'll be cooking a three course meal and serving it to me for tasting. The winner gets a reward and the loser will lose. Each team will appoint a Head Chef to create the theme of the meal and to oversee the cooking. To cook, you need ingredients." He pointed to a truck that was backing into the island from the water, "Every morning a truck brings us food. Today's challenge starters here." A dolphin stuck it's head out the window and saluted.
The Gophers looked in the back of the truck. "Can't go wrong with Italian," Allen suggested.
"I nominate Allen as Head Chef," Garry said.
"Alright I'm in," Allen replied as he jumped into the truck and got the food.
"I think you'll do great, right Erica?" Ramona said.
"Uh, Yeah for sure," she replied.
As the Gophers walked up Brenda called out "Nick's Head Chef!' when he looked at her in confished she said, "Trust me,"
Christian looked at the two, "What are they up to?"

Brenda - I know that Nick wants to play this game under the radar, but I know that he's a good leader and I'm tired of losing.

"Let's get to cooking!" Allen said.
"Okay," Nick said, "Brenda: Mangoes. Caroline: Pineapples. Caleb: Macadamias, Lamar:Molasses, Christian: Tomatoes. And Evan: Oranges
"What about me?" Faith asked.
"I'm gonna need your help," Nick replied.

(The Kitchen)
The Gophers walked in and set down they're crates of food. "So we got 3 courses, and 6 people, grab a partner," Allen said.
"I know how to make pasta sauce," Garry said.
"I know how to boil Pasta!" Molly said. The two high fived.
"Me and Ramona can rock the antipasto," Jonathan said. "I'm really good when it comes to cutting cheese."
"Guess that leaves me and you," Allen said to Erica.
"Very well," Erica said. "I'm glad to work with you,"
"That's the spirit" Garry cheered. The two looked at him skeptically.

Garry - I'm trying to be a good teammate, but I might be overdoing it.

Back at the cabin, a figure grabbed a bunch of stuff that belonged to others and put it in Jonathan's bag. It snuck off with a grin.
In the kitchen, Allen signaled Garry. He smirked and picked up a pot of water. "Where do you want the water Molly?" He asked before accidently spilling the water all over Jonathan.
"Whoah, you alright man?" Allen asked. "Go change into something dry," Jonathan left.
"We should follow him, cause I think he might have hurt his hand" Garry said.
The Bass just arrived at their space and Nick was handing out assignments. "Brenda, you and Caleb are on the citrus macadamia upside-down cake flambe"
"You can count on us," Caleb said.
Evan came through with a bag of oranges, but spilled them and stepped on them. He slid across the floor and fell, spilling and crushing the rest of them. "Yeah we're gonna need more oranges," Nick signed.
"Got it," Evan said.
"Lamar, you and Evan are on ribs," "Caroline and Christian you're on pineapple skewers and mango dip,"
"And I'm with you right?" Faith asked.
"Yes," he told her.

(Gopher Cabin Boy Sie)
Jonathan searched through his bag "Shirt, shirt, shirt," he then noticed that a bunch of stuff that wasn't his was in his bag. "Huh?"
"Hey man are you sure you-" Allen said with Garry as he saw Jonathan with other people's stuff.
"Dude, is that my guitar?" Allen asked.
"What? No it can't be.." Jonathan replied.
"There's my Lighter!" Garry yelled.
"Dude what the heck?" Treny exclaimed.
"Someone must've framed me" Jonathan said nervously
"Yeah, we're not buying that, we'll deal with this after the challenge," Garry stated.

Jonathan - Someone's framing me, I think it was someone from the other tribe.
Garry - (Stares into the camera menically) That's for my girl, also because it will keep me in the game longer

(Campgrounds)
Evan ran to the kitchen with a crate of oranges in hand. He ran head first into a tree that carried a beehive. The bees attacked him and he ran away.

(Kitchen)
As Allen was stirring the pot, Garry was talking with Erica about him. "He clearly digs you," he told her.
"Ramona thinks the same, but i don't know" she replied.
"What do you mean?"
"Will it seems he does but it's not like he's asked me out or anything"
"Yeah i guess that's weird"

Lamar was basting the ribs when Evan showed up covered in bee stings. "I'm back, and i have oranges. Lamar heads up!" He threw the crate at Lamar who dropped it right on his foot.

Nick - So Evan is covered in bee stings and Lamar has an injured foot who went to see medical, which means he's out of today's challenge because of course he is. How can this get any worse?

Allen was rolling a pastry when Erica told him "Don't crush the pasty,"
"Alright but only if you agree to go out with me"
"Oh really? Uh…sure"
Jonathan groaned while he returned to the kitchen.
Chris came up and gave the teams an update, "Three hours and counting guys!"

Allen - I gotta thank Garry for the advice, I really owe him one.

As Caroline was making the chutney, Nick walked over. "Are you gonna do anything or is this really Caroline's recipe?" He asked.
"Sorry i was just thinking about something," Christian said, Nick facepalmed hard.
"Look, can we talk in private?"
"Sure"
"You're boy Lamar made an alliance with Caleb and Evan"
"For real?"
"Yes so i recommend getting to it as this is very concerning"

Allen and Garry laughed at some jokes they told each other. While a somewhat concerned Jonathan looked on.

Jonathan - Garry and Allen as friends is a horrible thing, if push comes to shove Allen might vote me off before him.

Nick walked over to Brenda and Caleb "How's it going?" he asked them.
"Pretty good," Brenda replied quickly. "Nick, is something going on with you and Faith?"
"You're not my mom or my girlfriend," he said. "But no, nothing"

Nick - I'm on edge right now, everyone on this island is so annoying, but i gotta keep my cool.

Nick walked over to Caroline and whispered something in her ear. Her eyes widened and she looked at Lamar, Caleb, and a glare.

(Campgrounds)
Evan Inched his way to the cabin. Training not to upset any bees. He kicked a few glass bottles but nothing happened. He took another step and sunk his foot into a rake and screamed in pain. After he fell down, the beehive fell on top of him and the bees followed. "Seriously?" he screamed.
As Caroline and Christian were rebuilding the desert, Evan ran in and slammed the door to keep the bees out. Nick walked over to him, "Can you focus on the ribs so we can salge this thing?"

"They all need to have the same amount of custard," Erica said.
"Relax," Allen said, "I got it"
"That looks pretty good," she replied.
"Hey watch out!" he said as he squirted her with Cluster jokingly. She laughed and dumped a bowl of it on him.
"Now that was fun," she replied.

Allen - Erica is great, I've really never met someone as cool as her…
Evan - I'm very concerned with my performance in this challenge, but I do have an alliance that will keep me going.

Faith placed her idol on the table for decoration. "Your meal is coming up." she hesitated "Sir!"
"Be back in a sec with the meal man," Allen said as he lit some candles.
The Bass, sans Nick and Allen, surveyed the Meal. "We might win this thing after all," Brenda said. "Evan guard the food. Let's do this!"

Nick got back from taking a leak and walked back into the kitchen.

Evan guarded the food. "Looking great guys," he said, "real great". His stomach growled. "We should probably taste it before we serve it," He grabbed a rib and ate it. "Jeez that's good, maybe just one more"

Chris ate the Antipasto and smiled. "You're antipasto passed the test-o" he said. "Pass the pasta please." he ate the pasta. "On a scale of 1-10. Fifteen! How will the Bass respond?
Brenda, Caroline, Faith and Nick waited for Nick to come out with the main course, But nothing happened. Brenda went into the kitchen to see what was happening and saw an empty platter and sauce covered Evan. "Did you just eat an entire plate of Ribs?" Brenda asked angrily.
Evan presented the empty platter to Chris. The host looked at it and said "Yeah, this looks like it's… been eaten"
"Yeah, About that," he chuckled, then realized, "Wait! I have one in my pocket!" He dug it out and handed it to him. "Here you go."
He took a bite and thought for a moment. "You know what, I've had much worse. Three points." Evan cheered and Chris said, "Hold your horses Evan, The Gophers still lead fifteen to eleven."
Chris ate the custard and pastry dessert the Bass made. "Ehh, six. The Gophers have twenty-one. If the Bass wanna win they need all ten points and i have to say, this desert looks like a winner." He touched it with a fork and it imploded.
"That's not good," Brenda said.
He took a bite and started choking, Evan ran behind him and gave him the heimlich. He stopped choking and he said, "What the heck is this?"
Evan shrugged and said, "It was Nick's recipe, how would I know," he replied.
"So we lost?" Brenda asked.
"Yep," Chris said. The Gophers win twenty-one to thirteen. And it's not because I almost died. The ribs sucked too."
"Great," Nick said sarcastically. "Where'd that statue come from?"
"I don't know," Faith said. "It was in my canoe when we came back from the Island"
"You got it where?" he asked.
"You mean Boney Island?" Chris asked. "The deadliest island in Muskoka? The island i said specifically not to take anything from or you'll be cursed?"
"I'll go put this back right now!" Faith said as she ran out.
"Ok," The host said. "The Gophers won, and as promised, they will be enjoying a reward tonight. A five-star dinner under the stars."The Gophers cheered for the win. "However, Luckily this was a non elimination challenge so that means no one from the Bass is going home." Chris said. The Bass looked relieved.
(Gopher Gabin)
Ramona, Erica, Allen and Molly sat on the steps outside the cabin. "Jonathan really did that?" Erica asked.
"We caught him red handed." he explained, "He's gotta be the next to go,"
"He's always been a weird one, but I didn't know he was this weird," Ramona added.

(Dock - Lamar, Caleb and Evan alliance meeting)
The alliance was discussing the game. "She's an easy target," Evan admitted.
"Yeah it's either her or you," Lamar told him.

(Bass Cabin with Brenda, Christian and Nick)
"So Evan's in an alliance with Lamar and Caleb?" Brenda questioned and he nodded. " Why didn't you say anything before!"
"Cause Evan has no chance at getting the numbers to stay."
"What do you mean?" Christian replied.
"Lamar and Caleb are loyal to this alliance, I can say that with 100% certainty." Nick said and the other nodded hesitantly.

Erica - Today's challenge proved we can work together, but we'd be better if we got the snake off the team.
Nick - Today was very eventful, but nothing's changed for me game-wise.
Erica - Ramona and Jonathan got into a big argument about His stealing, and i really can't blame her.
Nick - With no tribal tonight I've just been chillin. I will have to reevaluate how useful some of my allies are.

(Gophers Cabin - Boys side)
As Jonathan lay sleeping, Allen and Garry picked up his bed and carried it out of the cabin.

Jonathan woke up outside to giggling. He got up and saw all the female campers swimming and laughing at him. He slept naked that night. "Good morning Jonathan," Brenda and Faith greeted. He screamed and covered himself up with a pillow.
Allen and Garry showed up in a canoe. "So," Garry said, "Learned your lesson yet?"
"Yes!" Jonathan said. "Okay. Yes!"
"We're gonna need more than that man," Allen said.
"I'll never steal again. I swear!" he pleaded.
"I believe him," Allen said, "What about you?"
Garry tossed him a change of clothes and said "A pleasure doing business with you!" and they both laughed as Jonathan went to get dressed.

Author's Note - a none elimination might come as a shock to you, but once i concluded that there would be no returnees that's what i had to do.
