Episode 11 Who Can You Trust
Last time on Total Drama Island…..
Things got cooking between the campers, Nick buckled under the stress of the challenge. Evan had a hard day. Allen led the Screaming Gophers to victory, and the Bass found out that Faith cursed the team. It was a non elimination challenge, though that didn't stop the alliances from talking strategy. Are the Bass still cursed? And how much trust do they have in each other? Find out tonight on Total…Drama…Island!

Chef scooped breakfast into a plate and snuck a straw into it. "Today's breakfast," he said to Molly, "Is Hawaiian-Italian fusion casserole."
"You mean leftovers from the cooking challenge," she said.
"Yeah that's right! You gotta problem with that?"
"Sir no sir!" She saluated and Chef returned it.
At the Gopher table, Jonathan was sneezing. "You okay?" Ramona asked him.
"I have a small cold," he deadpanned. "Like you care anyway"
"You did steal from me,"
He sneezed again. "I hate this place."

Caleb looked around before snuggling a mug under his shirt. As he walked away he came face-to-face with Brenda. "I saw that, she said. "Why would you steal a mug?"
"Cause it's cool looking and I don't have one at home," he said. "Didn't have one that is
"Aren't you worried about getting kicked off?"
"And here i thought you didn't care about me,"
"I don't," she said quickly. "You're just in my alliance and," she started stammering before goraning and saying, "Just forget it!" frustandtly and storming off.
"She IS the hottest," Caleb said to himself.

"Hi, Chris said to the viewers. "Chris here, Sometimes teams just don't get along. So the producers and I thought that the best way to work though the group friction would be..To exploit it for laughs. This is gonna be awesome!"

"So," Chris said to the remaining fourteen. "Last week's challenge exposed a few Gopher issues" Jonathan and Ramona glared at one another. "And I'm sensing something a little funky floating in the Bass pond too." Caleb elbowed Brenda, she grabbed his wrist and the back of his neck and pushed his head down while keeping his arm up. "So this week's challenge is gonna be centered around building trust." Brenda released Caleb. "Because all good things begin with a little trust."

Ramona - I trusted Jonathan once, he stole from me.

"There will be three major challenges that will have to be completed by two or more members of your team. Normally we like to let our campers choose their partners, but not this time. More fun for me!"

All the campers gathered near a rock wall as Chris explained, "Ok so the first challenge will be a free-hand rock climbing adventure. Caleb and Lamar will play for the Bass, Jonathan and Ramona for the Gophers.
"Great," Jonathan Snarked.
"Here's your belay and harness," the host said as he passed them to the Gophers. Ramona coughs them mid air.
"Don't trust me to catch a rope?" Jonathan asked.
"I don't trust those scrawny arms to hold me up." she explained.
"You won't be holding him up exactly," Chris said. "One camper pulls the slack through the belay as their partner climbs." He demonstrated said moment. "If they're partner falls, the belay will stop them from crashing. The catch? Both the base and the side of the mountain are rigged with a few minor distractions like: rusty nails, slippery oil slicks, mild explosives and a few other surprises.
"Wicked!" Evan said.
"The person on belay must also harness they're partner up. It's all about trust people and remember: Never. Let go of the rope. You're partners' life depends on it.
"In that case," Jonathan said. "I'm gonna need a new partner."
"Relax," Ramona said. "I may be mad at you right now, but I ain't gonna let you die.
"I've never tried this before" Lamar said as Caleb was putting the harness on him. "Have you?"
"Oh yea," Caleb said sarcastically. "They teach you how to climb walls in juvie all the time" Lamar grabbed a penny out of his pocket.

Lamar - This is a lucky penny my dad gave me before he passed, at the start of the competition I hid it so I wouldn't lose it and I would be able to find it if I needed it. With the losing streak we've had, I wanted to get it so we can have some luck go our way. I used this penny for every game I've ever had in high school, and that was the year we went undefeated.

"Hey," Lamar said, "Christian can you hold on to this penny for me? My father gave it to me and it's very important to me. Thanks Christian."
"Ok," he said, "Wow this looks old"
"There, you set up," Ramona said to Jonathan. The rope was noticeably off.
"I don't think this is right," he said.
"It's close enough."
"You gotta be kidding me"

Molly - I think Romona's going too hard on Jonathan. I mean I'm mad at him too, but we need to work together if we want to win.

Lamar and Jonathan climbed up the mountain. Lamar had an early lead, but Jonathan surprised him with his fast climbing skills. Jonathan was slowed down by an explosion that sent him off the mountain, but Ramona was so far doing a good job of keeping him alive. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna let you fall."
"I promised surprises," Chris said. "Habanero pepper sauce anyone?" he said with a squirt gun in his hands and a grin on his face.
The host sprayed Ramona and she instinctively covered her eyes, letting go of the rope in the process. Jonathan fell to the ground with a pained grunt. "What's wrong with you?" she screamed at the host.
"Muy calintie," Chris said with a glaring smile.
He sprayed Caleb next but he just drake the sauce and licked his lips. "Is that the best you can do?" he asked.
Chris whisper-yelled at the camera, "Is that the best that we can do?"
Jonathan was making good progress and managed to once again overtake Lamar, until he caught his hand on some nails. He grabbed the hand on instinct and fell off the mountain again. The rope stopped him from falling, but at the cost of a huge wedgie. "I knew there was something wrong with that rope," he said in a high pitched voice as he dangled by his underwear.
"You hate to see that," Caleb said with a wince.
"Very true my man," Chris said, also wincing. "Very true,"
Lamar climbed further and further and a still dangling Jonathan yelled "Pull the rope!" still high pitched.
"Are you sure?" Ramona asked.
"Yes. Trust me!" She did as she was told and eventually got Jonathan just to the end of the climb. He grabbed the mountain and finished just before Lamar did.
"Looks like the Gophers have won the first challenge," Chris announced.
"Great," Jonathan said, still high pitched, "Now get me out of this thing!"

(Main Lodge)
Three spotlights illuminated Molly and Allen rose up on one side as if from a mechanical platform, with Christian and Faith following suit. A previously unseen intern somersaulted through the air and landed behind the podium. Chris popped up a few seconds later and if he'd done the stunt. "And now for round two. The Extreme! Cooking! Challenge!" The intern crawled off screen with the campers watching. "Each team must pick who cooks and eats."
"You wanna be the cook?" Christian asked Faith.
"Sure!" she said excitedly.
"You up for some more cooking?" Allen asked his partner.

Christian - You may think I'm crazy for asking Faith to be the cook, but sometimes all someone really needs to succeed is encouragement.
Allen - Italian food is really the only thing I know how to cook.

Chris continued. "Today, you'll be preparing Fugusashami" the traditional japanese blowfish."

Christian - I'm gonna die

"The Fugu blowfish contains enough lethal toxin to kill thirty people," Chris explained as Chef wheeled a tank with two of them in it.
Chef took out the fish. "Fishies, meet your maker!"
Chris continued, "They must be sliced very carefully to cut around the poisonous organs. The poison peralyzed the nerves, and there is no antidote. So no worries!"
Allen grabbed Molly and said "You have taken biology right?" she nodded.
"Begin!" Chris said,
Allen signed as Molly poked the fish. It flew around the room like a balloon. "Ignore that," she said sheepishly.

Faith finished first. Her sushi looks like it was made by a professional. "Done!" she said as she backed away from the plate.
Molly finished shortly after. Her's looked almost the same as Molly's but had a purple tint to it.
Christian took a bite of Faith's fish. He swallowed and looked nervous for a few seconds and with a smile said. "Awesome!" He hugged her.
Molly pushed her plate towards Allen "You don't have to eat it,"
"No way," Allen said. "This looks great," He took a bite a few seconds later, punched himself in the face three times and screamed. "See? Nothing to worry-" He didn't finish as the poison had just started to take effect. He looked at Molly and said "I thought you took biology"
"Yeah," she said "I don't think my teacher did a very good job," Allen passed out and started vomiting on the floor.
"It's cool," Chris said. "Give him twenty-four hours and he'll wake up as good as new" he walked off.
"Is somebody gonna help this guy?" Christian asked. Chef leaned down to give him mouth to mouth.
(Dock)
"Come on Christian!" Faith said as she headed to the end of the dock.
"One second, I just have to make sure to put Lamar's penny in a safe spot" he put the penny on the lifeguard chair.
"Thanks for trusting me enough to eat the fish," Faith said.
"I knew I could trust you. I can trust you with anything."

Allen lay in one of the beds groaning. Chef, in a female nurse's costume, held a needle and told the boy, "This won't hurt a bit, It'll hurt a whole lot."

(Dock)
Christian and Faith had just come out of the water when he noticed something, a snake had slithered to where the penny was. "No, the penny!" He tried to grab the penny. But the snake had already eaten it. He tried to grab the snake but an eagle swooped down and carried it off. It landed at the end of the dock. Where he tried to grab it. But a shark breeched and ate the eagle. Christian was frustrated "Since when does a Shark eat birds anyway!?"

"Good news," Chris said. "The third round involves three more challenges. It's the three blinds challenges. It begins with the Blind William Tell followed by the Blinf Trapeze and culminating the treacherous blind toboggan,"
Lamar looked to Christian, "So, where's my penny at? I could use the good luck"
"Oh, the penny, uh. Let me go get that for you," Christian said quickly just before he took off.

Chris put an Arrow on Lamar's head before explaining, "Like legendary marksman William Tell, you'll be knocking arrow's off your partner's head with crab apples."
"I think that was the other way around," Caroline said.
"Hush, the host said. "Also, the shooter will be blindfolded." Caroline and Brenda gasped as they slowly moved away from Lamar. Chris put a blindfold on before saying, "The person that knocks an arrow off their partner's head while causing the least amount of facial damanga wins." He shot an apple that landed right on Lama's crotch. He groaned with pain. "Aww nuts," the host said. "Garry and Erica will be one team. Brenda and Evan, you'll be the other."
"I'm allergic to apples," Evan said.
"Fine then you'll be the shooter," Breda said. "Just don't mess it up."
"I'll be the shooter," Erica said. "We all remember how bad you're aim was in dodgeball"
"You're right," Garry said with a laugh.
"Okay," Chris said. "Let's Rock and Roll!"
Brenda and Garry stood waiting for apples to come fly at them. The other campers stood a safe distance away. Erica and Evan let their apples fly. For about a half a minute Garry and Brenda were pelted with apples. Erica finally knocked the arrow off Garry's head.
"Finally," he said.
"I got it this time," Evan declared.
"Erica won already," Chris said.
"Evan!" Brenda said panicked. "Stop!" She was hit with another apple. Evan also managed to knock a bird out of the sky and hit Lamar and Molly in the head.
"Evan it's over man! Let it go!" Chris said, actually shaking some sense into him.
"Oh, sorry Brenda," Evan said.
Brenda woozily said "You're so dead," before she fell over.

"And now," Chris said. "The blind trapeze!" to avoid serious injury the trapeze had been set up over this pond. Which is full of jellyfish. You two," he said to Molly and Caroline, "will stand on the platform until your partner tells you to jump.
"Then what?" Molly asked.
"Then hopefully they'll catch you, or that's gonna be one heck of a painful swim." he laughed a bit. "Okay, hut! Hut!

As Nick swung from the trapeze, Lamar asked Christian, "So where's my penny? I've been having real bad luck lately"
Christian stammered for a bit and said "Well. You see the penny kind of…got lost. I'll find it though."
"It's gone," Lamar said with tears in his eyes, "That was one of the last things my father gave to me. Dad! Why did you have to go!" Caleb walked off.
Back at the challenge, Nick said, "Okay, Caroline, You trust me right?"
"Yes I do," She replied.
"Then jump now!" She jumped and he caught her.
"Awesome they did it!" Evan chereed.
Jonathan swung back from his trapeze. "When I say jump, jump!"
"I already figured that out!" Molly shot back.
"Now's not the time for sarcasm, just jump now!" She tried to jump, but somehow misstepped and fell face first into the pool. All the campers winced at the pained screams coming from the water.
"Oooh," Chris said. "That's a point for the Killer Bass."

Molly was waking to the infirmary, large jellyfish attached to her back. It stung her. "Hey i don't like this anymore then you do" she told it. It zapped her again. "Ow!" She walked in the tent, sat down on a bed and asked Chef, "Can you get this thing off me?" he nodded.
Brenda woke up. "Where am i?"
"Informuray, Evan did a number on you, but since you're up you can go back" she got up and saw Caleb with a penny in his hand as it looked like he got out of Chris's place. "Wonder what that's about" Brenda said as she walked back up to the challenge area.

"And now the final leg," Chris announced. "The Blind Toboggan race. Each team will have a driver and a navigator. The driver steers while the navigator shouts directions. Oh yeah, and the driver will be blindfolded." The campers gasped. "Not many of you left huh? Keep losing you guys, hehe. Oh well, Erica and Ramona, Christian and Lamar."
"I know you're upset over your dad," Christian said. "I feel you, I've been there, but we need to survive this challenge."
"Whatever," Lamar sighed. "Why should I trust you?"
"I've been there for you this whole competition, you're probably my best friend." He looked at Chef and saw him painting the bottom of the sleds. "What are you doing?"
"Just lubin 'em up," the cook explained. "Get a little more speed going."

"On your marks," Chris said. "Get set." He blew an air horn to start the he and chef pushed the 2 teams to start the race.
The Gophers seemed to be a little faster as Gwen was shouting directions. "Left! Right!"
Christian's directions were a little more vague "Look out for the tree!" Lamar swerved and just missed it.
Ramona had managed to hit a rock and become airborne. "Girl we are flying now!" she said.
"That's the problem!" Erica yelled. They landed in a creek that just so happened to be a waterfall. Erica saw it and said "I'm not ready to die yet!" as they went over. They landed on a log and were catapulted off.

"Lamar come on steer man!" Christian pleaded. "You're dad would want you to live!"
"Hey Lamar, look what I found!" Caleb called.
"Lamar!" Christian said, "Caleb found your penny!"
"Don't tease me man," Lamar said. He took off the blindfold and saw it. "He found it! Alright let's do this"
"Left! Right! Go Lamar Go!" The Gophers landed next to them just ahead, much to Christian's confusion.
"Right! Left!" Erica yelled.
"Right! Left!" Christian yelled. They narrowly missed some explosives and he screamed.
"What the heck was that?" Lamar asked.
"We had a few explosives left over and I just hate to waste," Chris explained. Several more explosives went off with the navigators shouting directions. Christian and Lamar caught on and were blasted into the air. Erica saw this and just how close they were to the finish line. Jonathan and Garry cheering at the coming victory, but Christian and Lamar landed on the finish line before the girls got there. Lamar got up and grabbed his penny from Caleb.
"Thanks Caleb," he said with a broken voice, "You're the best,"
"Whatever man, it's just a penny" he shook off.
"I can't believe you found a new penny for Lamar, Maybe you're not just some criminal" Brenda said.
"Thanks," Caleb replied with a smile
"You might actually even be nice," she said.
"What no I'm not" Caleb said.
"I saw you do it Caleb"
"Whatever, he wouldn't leave me alone, stupid penny." she had her arms crossed. "Listen don't tell anyone, okay, i don't want them to think i'm soft or anything"
"Your secret's safe with me" Brenda said as she walked off.

The other 2 who were in the inferomy joined the rest of the campers. "And the bass are the winners of the toboggan race. Unfortunately I said that these were blind challenges. By taking off the blindfold for a moment you broke the number one rule. So the Gophers are today's big winner.
(Elimination Ceremony - Bass)
Chris looked at the eight bass."Who wants a treat?" He asked them. "A tasty treat that represents exemptions, security, peace of mind-
"Do you have to do this every time?" Brenda asked.
He popped up behind Evan "And if you don't get a marshmallow you have to walk the dock of shame and you can never come back." He popped up next to Brenda, "ev-er," He went back to his podium. Let's see: One for Caleb, One for Caroline, One for Brenda, one for Lamar, one for Christian, and one for Nick.
"Looks like we only have one left. Faith and Evan the final marshmallow goes to…
"Faith"
"Dang" he said sadly, "I'll see ya'll"
"Bye Evan!" Faith yelled. "We will miss you!"
He took a deep breath and smiled.

Author's Note: Some things to clarify, Caleba mentioned Brenda's hotness because he was recalling his conversation with Evan at the Boney Island challenge. I hope you liked this episode, Evan was a great character but he couldn't make it farther.
