"I'll be back," Gore said, heading out into the hallway. He knew what he was doing, but he was afraid Scar-ra might follow him. Thankfully, she didn't, which relieved him. The last thing he wanted was for Scar-ra to feel like she was alone in stopping Frodo and Bethany from their plan.
He sighed, reclining against the hallway's wall, in shock that Frodo and Bethany were standing away from him. What was going on?
"Frodo? Bethany? What are you—?" It was too late! Gore was snatched by Bethany, causing her to take him to hers and Frodo's bedroom. Gore landed on the floor, his head scarred and hurting. Bethany banged his head against the bedframe. "Ah! Ahh! Ehh!" Gore collapsed on the carpeted floor, his head throbbing and bleeding.
"Bethany, we mustn't be too hard with the merchandise," Frodo said, coaxingly.
"I'm sorry. He's just too… much fun to hang around," Bethany said, coyly.
"Well, no matter. I'm sure we can take care of this one soon enough," Frodo said, grabbing Gore by the back of his neck. "Does this hurt?" Gore didn't say anything. He was in too much pain. "Here. Let me help you." He moved his mouth over to the spot where it started bleeding. He sucked on the blood, kissing the wound on Gore's forehead. The pain ceased, as did the bleeding.
Frodo smirked, wickedly. He knew what was coming up. "I'm sure it hurts less now, doesn't it?"
Gore nodded, falling into a trance.
"Well, don't worry. You'll hurt less soon enough," Frodo said, grinning evilly.
"What do you mean? Ahh!" Gore cried out, his cries fading. Frodo sank his teeth into the side of Gore's neck, drinking his blood, but setting the venom into Gore's veins and arteries, too.
The very sensation left Gore with immense pain and anguish. Frodo released him, kissing the wound to heal it. Frodo stepped back, while licking the blood off his lips. He watched Gore writhe in pain. It was the very same sensation that Frodo felt, as did Bethany, when they were turned into vampires.
It was the same pain that Gore now shared. Only, Frodo's smirk was a knowing one. He knew what the next phase was.
"You didn't make him into a full-fledged vampire?" Bethany asked, curious.
"No. I merely turned him into a half-vampire. He'll still drink blood, but it'll be his choice who he chooses to drink. He can have one mate or he can go on a rampage," Frodo said with a smirk. "What? Did you think I'd accomplish my mission by turning him into a full-fledge vampire?" He chuckled. He shook his head. "No, my sweet. If I did that, there would be many more of us running amok in this city.
"No. It's better this way. That way, it's just you and me who will be protected, should those two vampires who turned us come back. At least then, they'll know we didn't go on a fierce rampage, like I previously thought," Frodo said, curiously.
"So, you lied?" Bethany asked, stunned.
Frodo shook his head. "No, my sweet. I merely improved the plan." He added, "I am not evil. I know there are evil vampires out there. It may have felt evil, but I intend to improve upon this plan until we get back to being ourselves again." He hissed. "I cannot control myself around you! You drive me wild! Into a fierce frenzy. Your blood is too tantalizing.
"Err!" Frodo added, "If only you weren't so beautiful, then maybe I wouldn't lose control."
Bethany gulped. This was the last thing she needed. "I'll go grab Scar-ra, and add to our deal! How about that?"
"Wait. Don't! Stop!" Frodo closed the door, forcing Bethany to stay in the room.
"Get out of my way!" Bethany said, annoyed.
"Please, my pet. I know what you would do, if you were unleashed. You're reckless. A shame that I have to block you in, but it's for your own good," Frodo said.
"Get out of my way," Bethany said, reaching for the door. Only Frodo held her down, keeping her pinned to the floor. Oh, how she wanted to get away from him. "Let me go! Frodo, stop!" She wept, not knowing what else to do.
"If you had any sense, you would stop this rampage," Frodo said, whispering in her ear. "I know what you think you're doing is right, but it's not. So, don't kill. Do you understand? You can drink my blood all you want. Sound fair?"
Bethany tried to get away, but found she couldn't. His grip was stronger than hers. She was such a weak vampiress. "What would you have me do?"
Frodo smirked. Now, they were getting somewhere. "I think, first, we ought to show Gore the ropes, get him to know what he's supposed to do."
Gore calmed down, staring at them. He was thirsty for blood, but also water. "Parker's not a full-fledged vampire, is he? You two can't be full-fledged vampires. I can sense that."
"You lied again," Bethany said.
"What is it with you and thinking I'm lying?" Frodo asked, kissing her temple. "We are full-fledged vampires, now that we've learned a few things. Gore and Parker are also vampires, but they're still learning. We're of a different sort. In order to become full-fledged vampires, then we must coexist with living on human food and animal blood. If we drink human blood, then it will be to each other and anyone we choose.
"Don't you understand that?" Frodo said, kissing her temple.
"So, that's how you two do it?" Gore asked, stunned.
"Yes, and it's what Parker's learning right now," Frodo said, calmly. "I don't mean to turn people into vampires that only go after human blood, Gore. We're different. We can turn as many people, animals, and creatures into vampires at will. Just as long as they drink water and blood, then we will become a new species.
"The only problem is who's worthy to become a new breed of vampires. Who knows? We may be more than just vampires. I still want to turn this city into vampires, but in this new way. It's safer, but not very safe. I'm sorry I scared you, but I thought I'd talk the plan over, before you think of us as villain," Frodo said. "It's why Bethany brought you here. I cannot bite your wife, but you can. If you truly want this. If you don't, then my plan's change.
"But I really want my friends in on this plan, and my family members, too," Frodo said. He shrugged, adding, "I don't know why, but I feel like this is something I inherited. Being a vampire has affected me. But then, who knows? I may have been a vampire in a past life. Bethany, too. I'm just saying."
Gore stood up, thinking it over. "Then I'll see to it that Scar-ra agrees with this. Ohh hoo hoo, she'll be in for a big surprise."
"Good luck serenading her," Bethany said, pleased.
Gore nodded. "Then I'll take my leave and bring her here when the time is right."
"Go, and good luck to you," Frodo said, pleased.
Gore nodded, smiling. "You know I will. Oh, and I can drink just her blood, right? No one else's?"
Frodo shrugged. "If that is your wish. I can assure you, it has happened to me, too. But that doesn't mean we can't start a new vampire species together."
"Well then, I wish you luck, Frodo Baggins," Gore said, pleased.
Frodo nodded, smiling, "You too, Gore. You too."
.
Scar-ra walked down the hallway, confused. She searched for her husband, but couldn't find him. In fact, where was Gore? And why was it so quiet?
"Whoa!" she jumped. Gore roared, stepping on front of her. His teeth snarled, blood dripping off his mouth. "Gore, what's happened? Did you go on a hunt?" No, he didn't say anything. Only smiled at her. This scared her. "Gore? Gore, please tell me Frodo didn't turn you into a vampire."
Gore laughed. "Oh, Frodo did more than that, sweetie. He changed me. Hmm. It seems it's time to change you, too."
"Gore, please. Think about this. You can't possibly…"
Gore leaped towards her, sinking his teeth into the side of her neck.
No! Scar-ra couldn't believe this! She screamed, terrified. Soon, her screams slowed to a crawl. The pain reached her throat, reaching her entire body. The burning sensation wouldn't cease, until it finally did. She calmed down, huffing and puffing. She was also thirsty and hungry, too.
What—What did Gore turn her into? What had she become?
"Now, you're like me: not fully a vampire, but rather a new breed of vampires," Gore said, licking his lips. Scar-ra looked up at him. She felt vibrant. She didn't know why. Gore extended his paw to her. "Come darling. We have a few more people to find."
"Wait. Frodo said he'd turn the entire city into vampires. Is he still doing that?" Scar-ra asked, worriedly.
"He is, but I think he's changing his mind. He only mentioned a few specific people, not really the whole city," Gore admitted. "Besides, it's not like we know everyone here, do we?"
"No, but I don't understand," Scar-ra said, confused.
"Come on. It's time to hunt!" Gore said, leading the way.
"Yes, my sweet," Scar-ra said, following Gore outside.
