Two months had passed and no, Mal still hasn't told anybody. It was like if she ignored the problem, it didn't exist until she noticed she had a bump. It wasn't noticeable by any means unless you were looking for it. Mal was around twelve weeks pregnant. She needed to see a doctor to make sure everything was okay with the baby but once she did, her secret would be out. She made a mental note to make an appointment this weekend whether she tells Ben or not.
Meet me in my office after graduation. We just need to talk about something. Don't worry, Love Ben x
Ben had left a note in her dorm this morning. Mal felt a bit nervous, she feared he has noticed. She has been distant ever since she found out. She figured the longer she spent with Ben or any of her friends the sooner they would find out. She wanted to tell someone but she couldn't. Not yet, anyways.
Ben was worried. Actually that was an understatement. She's been off with him for weeks. They have been together for about two years and he's never seen her like this before. She flinches and pulls away whenever he tries to hug her. Their conversations have become brief and mostly work related. He worried that he had upset her in some way. Today was their graduation. In the next few days, their next phase of their lives together would begin and before that, he had to fix whatever problems they were having. As if he didn't resolve their issues than they wouldn't last life after high school. Believe me, he wasn't going to give up without a fight.

" Class of 2018 everyone " Fairy Godmother announced with pride " A few words from our dear friend and our King, Benjamin Beast "
Mal was able to relax for a few moments and forget about all of her problems. She watched with pride as Ben left her side and walked to the centre of the stage where their class was currently standing. He was handed a microphone by Fairy Godmother.
" Here's to us , just about the best senior class ever " He chuckled
" This year was the first year to experience change and new beginnings when we met our friends from the wrong side of bridge. They've proven to us that evil isn't born, it's made and we can all see that everyone deserves a chance at a better life. I am honoured to have been the one to give that to them as our senior class wouldn't be the same without them in it. Here's to Mal, Evie, Jay, Carlos and Freddie "
The whole class applauded them. For that moment it seemed everyone forget where they were from and looked at them for who they were. She was just Mal. Not Maleficent's daughter. Just her.
Later that day, the class found themselves celebrating at the after party. Where everybody was wearing an original Evie 4 hearts creation. Handmade by Evie herself. Evie 4 Hearts was Evie's future. She would go on to be an incredible seamstress and would soon be making outfits for people all over the world. She would host glamorous fashion shows that Mal would gladly attend in support. Jay had tourney, he was going Pro. He would be heading off to Sheffield after the summer to play professionally. Himself and Lonnie had found an affordable place down there. Carlos was heading off to train to become a teacher. He wanted to give back to the place that had given him so many opportunities. He had the brains for it and Mal was sure he would be the best teacher Auradon Prep would ever see when the time came around. Ben obviously would be packed busy. He would be dedicating more of his time to his royal duties. He was going to Auradon University to get a degree in Business as his family were firm believers that even though it wasn't needed the king of their country should be well educated.
And Mal? Her future had no direction. Well, except for one and she had been avoiding it. She would become a mother in about six months even though she was nowhere ready or prepared mentally and physically for it. Today has made her realise that all of her friends will be heading off in their own directions, she will lose her emotional support bubble once they leave and achieve great, amazing things with their careers. She won't be able to rely on them for help ( even though she knew that they would drop anything and everything for her. She was basically family to them. Since coronation, their blood families had cut them off so each other realistically was all that they had ). She couldn't do that to them. She wouldn't let them sacrifice their dreams because she messed up. She couldn't live with that guilt attached to her for the rest of her life.
It got her thinking. How would Ben even manage? He was stressed out of his mind enough as it is. Now, add a baby to that. He wasn't ready (neither was she), he didn't want to start a family for a least another few years and most definitely not before they were married. They were basically still kids, trying to figure things out and balance the stress and time of everyday life. He needed time before they could even talk about kids.
It never crossed her mind. She never ever thought she would have a boyfriend let alone be pregnant with said boyfriends child. Also, said boyfriend has no clue about the whole situation as far as she knew.
Mal could feel herself begin to sweat with the nerves and anxiety it came. It was just two words. I'm pregnant. Alas, she couldn't even say them aloud. Not even to Evie. Evie had been amazing to her ever since they became friends. She knew all her secrets and Evie knew hers. Except for this one. She didn't know how to tell them. Or if she would even tell them. Sounds silly, it would be impossible to hide this pregnancy from them forever. Especially Ben, who she spends most of her time with even if it's just royal responsibilities that they share.
" Penny for your thoughts, my dear " Speak of the devil. Ben snatched her out of her thoughts.
" Oh it's nothing " Mal lied. It was most definitely not nothing. It was quite a big something that she has already kept for too long.
" I don't buy that for a second " He looked right into her eyes. Darn, he can read me like a book.
" Come on, let's take an early night and talk about this at my place " He wrapped an arm around her and led her out of the party.
Oh Crap
