Vox's limo coasted along the streets that made up his part of the larger entertainment district. This circle of Hell, the Pride Ring, is where the vast majority of sinners resided. This ring was structured to simulate the cities of Earth, with the center being a cluster of skyscrapers and high-end shops, residential areas and apartments were scattered around the middle, and buildings grew smaller and more dispersed the further you got from the big city. Certain areas also came with certain themes, each one modeled after who controlled the territory, though this was subject to constant change. The exceptions being, of course, with the overlords; with their grip lasting longer than most, their territories remained relatively unchanged. And no more apparent is that than with the three Vs. With their hold on Pentagram City, situated in the very center of the Pride Ring, they split the area in three. Valentino handled the adult entertainment district, in his third you will find nothing but the best in pornographic content extending to the city limits, among other twisted fantasies. Then with Velvet she handled the shopping district, having control over stores selling items ranging from clothing to cakes, all of which are barely affordable. In every sense of the word she is vain, but she won't let you get away with calling her that to her face. And lastly, there's Vox, driving through his territory. That being the movie and television district, or as some sinners called it "Hellywood".

Movies, television shows, commercials, VoxTube, anything that used a camera and was "family friendly" was made here. The district was half studio lots, used by a variety of different studios all owned by Vox, and half mansions, all occupied by the most famous of Hell's television stars. Vox's limo had departed from a television studio lot where several different late night shows were filmed live, and he drove by the action movie lots while he was on call with Valentino. Looking back through the rear window at the various explosions and cars flying through the lots, he thanked himself for installing soundproof windows on the limo; he wouldn't have heard a single word of what Valentino said otherwise. After passing various production lots, all that remained before him was a cylindrical skyscraper; solid black in color and extending high above his district with a neon blue V at the uppermost part of the building, ending in a flat top. Vox Tower. Situated between the various entertainment lots and the overpriced housing, it oversaw the entire district with a clear view of the neighboring districts the other two Vs controlled.

Vox drove towards it, his fingers wiggling slightly in the sockets as he piloted the limo towards a seemingly bare side. The limo grew closer and closer to the building, and just when it seemed like it was going to crash, the road dipped down into a ramp leading under the building. Looking back, Vox saw the red sky briefly, before the ramp moved back up and closed behind him, creating a flat road once more. Once inside the darkness he slowed the limo down to a crawl, then stopped a couple feet later. With a grunt he unhooked his fingers from the car, reforming the cables back into his body and returning his fingers to their normal state. He closed the seat over the metal panel and stepped out into the darkness; the blue glow from his face gave little light in the wide black space.

"Lights," he said, his voice echoing around him. One by one, white fluorescent lights overhead came on, illuminating the once dark room. It was rectangular in shape, unlike the cylindrical nature of the building it was contained in, the walls and floors were a plain white. On either side of Vox there were lines of luxury and sports vehicles parked diagonally, the best Hell could offer. All of them were jet black in color with a neon blue trim, to keep with the color scheme he was known by. They all had model names and years, but Vox couldn't care to remember any of them. What mattered is that they looked cool, inside and outside this grand garage. Vox wouldn't settle for any less because, like the rest of the Vs, what mattered more than power and control was wealth and status. If he was going anywhere outside his home, he wanted to flaunt his success, and let everyone know he was the one doing it.

Moving away from his limo he headed to the other end of the room, walking past and admiring his cars along the way. I should take a few of these out more often, he thought to himself. Once he reached the end he found himself in front of a silver elevator, a black LED screen at the top read "B". He pressed the lone up button on the side and the doors slid open, revealing a semi-circular elevator that had tinted glass covering the side opposite of him. Stepping inside he turned around and faced back into the garage.

"Control Room," he said, and with those words the elevator doors closed and he began to rise up the tower. After passing a few floors, he turned back once again to face the glass side of the elevator, and looked out to the city shrinking below him. He placed his hands in his pockets and smiled; he never got tired of this view. From this side he saw the entire entertainment district, his studios filming a variety of different programs and films, and even beyond towards Pentagram City and into the other Vs' districts. The red light from the sky above shined its usual somber glow onto the city, the pentagram sitting dead center taking up the entire sky with its presence. And far into the distant skyline was the bright white ball known as Heaven, a constant reminder to all sinners where they'll never be. But Vox couldn't care less, even if he was given the option to go to Heaven why would he give up all the power he has here? Also the lack of sex and rampant violence didn't make Heaven any more appealing to him.

The elevator came to a stop at the very top of the building, and the doors opened to a dark circular room. Vox turned and walked in. "Blinds," he said, and shutters lining the room slid up to reveal the red sky he had been looking at in the elevator prior. After a couple seconds the shutters were completely up, and Vox had a clear view of everything around him. The windows were tinted however, and to anyone outside it looked like nothing had changed. But the view wasn't what was of interest to Vox, he only needed it for the light. Unlike the rest of the tower there were no internal sources of light in this room, because above him there were only cables; cables that extended from above down to televisions that lined the top of the room, above the windows. And in the center of the room was an elevated control panel, raised parallel to the floor in the shape of a C. Vox walked through the gap and stood in the middle, he raised his fingers over the panel. The top was flat, with no obvious indication of any buttons or controls.

"Time to hook back into the system," Vox said, his eyes gleaming with delight. "Maybe I'll see Alastor on his walk again, that was a nice surprise. He looked just as happy to see me. Hmmm," he paused, putting a finger under his monitor. "Then again, that whole business with Rosie is a bit odd, I wonder if she has it any more under control since the interview?"

Vox tapped rapidly on the panel, multicolor lights lit up with each tap of the finger. After one final button press, a large cable descended from the middle of the cluster of cables; with a mind of its own, it snaked down to the back of Vox's head, then thrust itself into a port on the back. Then a few of the tv's above Vox's head came down as well and stopped in front of his screen. Vox's face grew serious as he began to concentrate.

Vox Tower acted as a central hub for everything electronic in the Pride Ring; if it could be hooked into the wall, Vox had access to it. He could have accessed all of Hell with this power, but beings far above him would never allow it, so this is the farthest his reach is allowed to extend. Still, with this being the most populous ring this gave him plenty of power, in both senses of the word. To even be able to connect to so many screens at once at any time, the connection needs to go both ways. He can travel through to any device in Pride, and he siphons power from the screen he connected to in return. He learned the hard way multiple times he couldn't stay on one screen for too long, otherwise the power begins to drain rapidly and he's forcefully kicked out. Which he would tell you is not a great feeling. So to mitigate this he installed several monitors in the Control Room. When he makes a connection he finds requires further observation, he will link the screen to one of the monitors, then transport back to his body and watch from his home, without the added strain.

Vox's face twisted slightly as he began to make the connection, until after a few moments it was completed, and he felt himself move through the cable towards the Cannibal Colony. His body hung limp and his screen went dark as he traveled. After a few more moments, he felt himself stop and his vision come back.

What am I? He asked himself. He looked left, then right, then left, then right again. Alright, looks like a security camera, now then Rosie, what's happening? Vox scanned the street the security camera was on. Nothing. Vox hopped out, then rode the cables to another device nearby. Stopping, he tried to look around, but was blind. What the hell? He thought. Just then he heard a ding.

"Alright kids, breakfast is ready!" Vox heard a woman shout. Am I a fucking toaster? He immediately backed out and rode the cables again. I'm out of practice, I haven't made that mistake in a while, being with Valentino has kept me busier than usual, he thought, annoyed. After following lines for a little while he felt himself turn then come out to another device. I swear if I'm in something stupid like a washing machine, I'll just go back home and watch Voxflix.

This time his sight was given back to him, but he couldn't move anywhere. Looking forward he saw his reflection in glass. "Alright, television set, familiar territory," he said. Looking past the glass he saw a couple demons up ahead, and a pile of bodies. "Oh shit," Vox whispered, not wanting to be heard. Not that it would be a problem if he was seen, Vox just believed Rosie's problem was her own and he didn't want to be seen snooping like he gave a damn, even though he did out of curiosity. He tuned the television to get a better listen on the demons ahead of him.

"Man, I've never seen Rosie so pissed," one said.

"Yeah, me neither, can't believe she killed them though," the other responded.

"She didn't have a choice! They ate the tainted meat, you know what that shit does to you? Just take a look at all of them!" The first one gestured to the pile they created. Vox looked closer at the pile. All the corpses' faces were stained white, with forced, stretched-out smiles that broke their skin. Blood stained their lips.

"I know, I know! Just saying, they couldn't be fixed?"

"Not that any of us know of, and so far none of these people have come back. This isn't some twisted angel shit, that we know of, but it's just as bad."

The second demon scratched the back of his head, "Yeah, this whole place got more fucked up than usual. Bad enough all this meat's gone to waste, now we gotta worry about Exterminators and this shit? Fuck me I might as well go vegan."

"Look man, just don't eat random bodies and you should be fine," the first demon replied, striking a match.

"Yeah," the second said disappointingly. He picked up a gas canister on the ground and started splashing gasoline over the pile. Once the bodies were well-coated in gasoline, the first demon threw the lit match onto the pile, and they both watched it go up in flames. The second demon turned to the first and asked, "This doesn't do anything either?" Pointing a thumb to the raging fire.

The first demon shook his head. "I think we're the fifth burn pile so far. Still no sign of anyone we know showing up back here."

"Fuck man, five? Why are people still eating the-" the demon stopped mid-sentence and froze. Vox held in his breath, ready to leave the television, thinking he had somehow been discovered.

"Did you see that?" the second demon whispered.

"See what?" The first demon asked confused, "What's the matter with you?"

"I think one of the bodies just moved!" he hissed through gritted teeth.

"Are you serious right now? They're on fire! If they move, it's probably cause of, I don't know, heat melting flesh and causing them to move into the open spaces?"

"Uh-huh, but does the heat do that?!" the second demon pointed. Vox tried to look closer, but the two demons were blocking his view. He saw the first demon step back a bit.

"Oh shit… you don't think someone alive got in there?"

"No way man, they would've shouted or something. And I didn't put anyone alive in this pile, did you?!"

"Fuck no!" The two demons were shaken up by what they saw. Then, a new sound arose in the silence after their exchange. One Vox could hear quite clearly. Something, someone, was laughing. The two demons slowly stepped back.

"Fuck this, I'm not getting paid enough for this! WE are not getting paid enough. We just burn the bodies man, let's get the hell out of here."

The second demon looked at his companion, then back to the pile. Addressing his friend he asked, "And what do we tell Rosie about this?"

The first demon had almost walked out of Vox's line of sight, before he turned to respond, "We tell her we got the job done! Let someone else deal with this bullshit, then we can get drinks and forget about this." He turned back and walked away.

Vox looked at the second demon, who looked at the burning pile for a couple seconds. "Yeah… forget." He shook his head as his body shivered, then he jogged away to catch up with his friend. With both demons gone, Vox looked towards the flaming pile, trying to catch a glimpse of what they saw. But it was too late. Whatever was moving, and laughing, was gone now. The bodies were already completely blackened and nothing showed any signs of movement. Something was really wrong, and Vox had a sinking feeling this wasn't going to be just Rosie's problem for very long.

At that moment, Vox felt a buzzing around his head. Annoyed, he looked to the corner of the screen, and saw the phone icon once more. "Again? Now?" he asked, assuming Valentino was calling him back. Saving the encounter with the body burning to his video files he retreated back through the cables into his body.

Back at Vox Tower, his body once again became upright, and his screen lit up blue as his face appeared. Unhooking from the center cable for a moment, he pressed a couple keys on the control panel and brought the call to one of the monitors still hanging down from the ceiling.

"Alright Val what is it? You change your mind on us again, or can you not come in tomorrow?" Vox asked, trying to keep the annoyance out of his voice.

"Guessssss again rectangle face."

Vox looked up, slightly stupefied upon hearing that voice. On the monitor he saw the smug face of none other than Sir Pentious.

"Oh you have got to be fucking kidding me."
