Everyone kept running in fear far away from the fun fair that the Joker set up. Dracula, Mavis, Frank, Eunice, Murray, Hank, Pedro, Wendy, Brett, Kent, Melly, and Alfred were already inside the hearse ready to head back to the hotel but they didn't noticed that Johnny was missing.
"Is everyone here?" Dracula asked worriedly as he started the engine of the hearse.
"Yeah we're all here, Uncle Drac." Hank answered. They were ready to leave the human village but they soon noticed that something was wrong.
"Wait! Where's Johnny?!" Kent shouted. Everyone gasped in horror knowing that Johnny wasn't in the hearse with them at this moment.
"Oh no! We need to go get him! He could be in danger!" Mavis exclaimed in fear worried about her fiancé's safety.
"Mavis, it's not safe. I'll get him back. You all need to get to safety." Dracula said leaving the hearse to save Johnny.
"But, dad..." Mavis wanted to come with him but Dracula stopped her.
"It's too dangerous! You all need to get back to the hotel. Frank, you drive!" Dracula turned into his bat form flying back to the Joker's fun fair while Frank sat on the driver's seat.
Meanwhile back at Fun Fair...
The police surrounded the entrance of the fun fair while they prevent the crowd of people from coming back there. Back at the fun fair as the Joker standing on the stage with his 8 hostages crying for help. The Joker kept singing on his microphone while waiting his 'guest of honor' to show up.
Where, oh where could my little bat gone?
Where, oh where can he be?
His cowl, his scowl.
His temper so foul,
I hope that he's coming for me!
The Joker laughed maniacally throughout his microphone while the hostages covered their ears from his horrible laugh.
A few seconds later, Batman/Johnny arrived at the fun fair as he made a dive bomb on the ground and doing a heroic landing with his fist smashing the ground and his cape fluttered from the wind.
"I can't believe it's Batman!" "The Batman's here to save us!" "I thought he was just a myth!" The hostage gasped in amazement seeing Batman/Johnny's entrance.
The police and the crowd of people outside the fun fair couldn't believe that they're seeing Batman/Johnny for the very first time. The Joker was eager to see Batman/Johnny again.
"Well if it isn't the guest of honor himself, BATMAN! I was beginning to worry that won't come, especially after the whole mess with Cobblepot back at the nightclub." The Joker said throughout his microphone.
"I came to stop you, Joker! You'll be spending the rest of your life behind bars!" The Batman/Johnny said with his voice modulator/changer while getting back up on his feet.
"Such a party pooper. You're not even gonna say something about the place?" The Joker scoffed extending his arms showing Batman/Johnny at the fun far he created. "It only took my boys only 5 days to set this whole thing up without anyone knowing it. I made a pretty good deal with this real estate agent. Oh you should've seen the smile on his face when we shook hands as we closed the deal HAHAHAHAHA!"
"Last chance! Give up and let the hostages go or I'm going to make you surrender!" Batman/Johnny shouted demandingly.
"Ooooh! I'd like to see you try, Batman." The Joker mocked while his thugs jumped down from the stage cornering Batman/Johnny. "And now ladies and gentlemen, the moment you've all been waiting for! I present to you, THE DEATH OF THE BAT-MAN!" The Joker yelled throughout his microphone making sure that everyone can watch the fight scene.
Meanwhile up in the sky, Dracula was in his bat form flapping his wings and could perfectly watch Batman/Johnny was surrounded by the Joker's thugs.
"We're going to hurt you, Bat-freak." "You're mother won't recognize you when we're finished with you." "You're going to die here tonight, Batman!" The thugs said while holding their weapons such as knives, steel pipes, or their fists themselves.
"Word of advice for you guys: RUN." Batman/Johnny taunted while tilting his neck flexing his shoulder and punching his palm.
The first thug ran towards at Batman/Johnny trying to hit him with his knife but Batman/Johnny was able to successfully dodge the attack and got the opportunity to block the knife with his gauntlet and perform a blade dodge takedown
Batman/Johnny started to punch every goons he sees and would threw some batarangs at them as a freeflow combat. He would also perform Combo Takedowns, Multi Ground Takedown to knock down some the goons easily and would grab and destroy the goons' weapons.
The crowd of people and the police were amazed at Batman/Johnny's combat skill and they started to cheer for the vigilante by beating the crap out of the Joker and his thugs. Even Dracula, who was still in his bat form, was impressed by Batman/Johnny's fighting skills. He thought in his mind if the vigilante is a vampire or just an ordinary human gifted in combat.
"Oh come on boys, he's just one man! One man who dressed like a lunatic and armed to the teeth. Go get him! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Joker laughed giving his men some moral support.
Batman/Johnny saw a nearby thug with his steel pipe he quickly fired his batclaw at the thug and slammed his body on the ground dropping his weapon. Batman/Johnny continued his freeflow combat by beating up the rest of the Joker thugs.
Meanwhile, Mavis, Hank, Pedro, Wendy, Frank, Eunice, Murray, Brett, Kent, Melly, and Alfred arrived outside the fun fair joining the crowd of people. The police told them to step back away from the scene. They all saw Batman/Johnny fighting those goons while the Joker was on stage watching the whole fight with his hostages tied up.
"Whoa! It's the Batman fighting bad guys!" Hank exclaimed pointing right at Batman/Johnny.
"Man, you look at him go!" Pedro enjoyed watching Batman/Johnny fight every thug that comes at him.
"Who's the clown on the stage?" Wendy asked referring to the Joker on stage.
"Guys, we're not here to watch! We're here to find dad and Johnny!" Mavis said worriedly while looking for Dracula but didn't know that Batman/Johnny was trying to stop the Joker.
"Mavis, I think I can see your dad up there." Frank told Mavis as he pointed the bat flapping his wings up in the sky watching the fight.
"Bats, go easy on them. For me? Oh what do I care for... do your worse! HAHAHAHAHA!!!" Joker laughed that his men was about to lose.
After Batman/Johnny beats up some the thugs, more of the Joker's goons joined the fight and three of them were aiming their guns right at Batman/Johnny.
Dracula decided to help Batman/Johnny when he waved his hands using his telekinesis on the thugs dropping their guns and flew down to punch the thugs down on the ground.
"You could use some help." Dracula said to Batman/Johnny while changing back to his human form and gave a friendly smile at him.
"Count Dracula?" Batman/Johnny couldn't even believe that Dracula even insisted on helping him.
The Joker's men were now terrified and shaking in fear that the ancient vampire was now fighting along Batman/Johnny's side. Both Dracula and Batman/Johnny looked at each other with a smirk on their faces and nodded their heads.
Batman/Johnny continued to beat down the thugs and would throw batarangs them or quickly fire his batclaw to grab the thugs by slamming their bodies to the ground while Dracula used his vampire speed to knock the thugs quickly in a zigzag.
The crowd cheered loudly for the famous Count Dracula and Batman/Johnny fighting together to save the hostages from the Joker but the Vampire-human family was worried for Dracula.
"Hold on a second! What's Drac doing there!?" Murray yelled out.
"What's he thinking trying to stop those guys?! He's going to get himself killed!" Eunice shouted worriedly.
Hank, Pedro and Wendy cheered for Dracula while Mavis was shaking in fear if Dracula got hurt in the fight.
"Why the hell is Dracula here at the moment?! This is was supposed to be just between me and Batsy!" The Joker yelled as he grabbed his gun from his purple suit aiming at Dracula, who didn't noticed the Joker at all. Mavis widened her eyes when she saw the Joker aiming his gun right at Dracula.
"DAD! BEHIND YOU!" Mavis shouted in horror hopping her dad can see the upcoming threat.
"Mavis?" Dracula was surprised to see Mavis and the others joining the crowd outside the fun fair. He was also angry that his family disobeyed his order to get back to the hotel for their safety.
Batman/Johnny soon to notice that the Joker is aiming his gun at Dracula. Without waisting any time, Batman/Johnny quickly ran towards to Dracula and pushed him out of the way just in time when the Joker pulled the trigger. Both Dracula and Batman/Johnny fell on the ground while the bullet hits a pole instead at Dracula.
Mavis sighed in relief that her father was saved by Batman/Johnny while the Joker yelled for missing his shot. Batman/Johnny quickly got up and threw a batarang right at the Joker's hand making him drop his gun on the floor. With the Joker unarmed, 5 hostages escaped the stage running back to the crowd for their safety while the 3 hostages didn't managed to escape when more armed men came up to the stage aiming their guns at the hostages' heads.
"Are you alright?" Batman/Johnny asked worriedly helping Dracula to stand up.
"I... I'm fine." Dracula said a little shaken.
"That's all for tonight boys and girls but I'm afraid we have to end the fun here. Hope you enjoyed Uncle J's Carnival!" The Joker said on his microphone while most of his goons came back up to the stage. "It was nice knowing you, Dracula. Ciao! HAHAHAHAHA!"
The stage curtains dropped down covering the Joker, his goons, and the hostages with smoke coming out underneath the curtains. Batman/Johnny ran towards to the stage to catch the Joker but just then, the curtains fell on the stage revealing that the Joker was gone. Batman/Johnny's anger was boiling that Joker escaped again with the hostages.
Batman/Johnny thought that he could manage to interrogate one of the Joker's men to tell him where he is. He saw a conscious thug laying down on the ground groaning in pain.
"What are you doing?" Dracula asked.
"Making him talk." Batman/Johnny answered by stepping at the thug's face. Dracula was startled from what Batman/Johnny did. "Where's the Joker taking the hostages?!
"How the heck should I know!" The thug answered rudely with his face being squashed.
"I'm going to make you talk! How many bones do I have to break before I get the answers!" Batman/Johnny threatened.
"Screw you, freak!" The thug answered rudely.
"I don't have time for this!" Batman/Johnny growled while deepening the pressure at the thug's face.
"Ok, you win!" The thug gave up yelling in pain. "The Joker said he's taking the hostages to this place. The carnival was all a set up for all the people to come. He said he needed the hostages for... test subjects." The thug answered cowardly.
"Test subjects? What's he planning?!" Batman/Johnny asked raising his voice high.
"I... don't know... I swear!" The thug replied running out of air to breathe.
Batman/Johnny kicked the thug's face knocking him unconscious after giving the location where the Joker is heading next. Batman/Johnny turns around and saw Dracula still there watching the whole thing happened.
"Sorry if you have to see that, Dracula." Batman/Johnny said felling a little bad for himself and for Dracula.
"It's alright. Probably I also could've done that if I were you." Dracula answered while laughing nervously.
The 5 hostages were now safe at the hands of the police and some of the Joker's crew are now in police custody. The Vampire-human family were relived that Dracula was alright, mostly Mavis.
"Daddy!" Mavis cried out running towards to Dracula giving him the biggest hug.
"Mavis! Why did you come back here? I told you guys to head back to the hotel." Dracula complied a little disappointed at Mavis for not listening to him.
"I know but I was worried that something bad might happen to you. Just like what almost happened to you earlier." Mavis said letting a small tear come out from her eyes. Dracula dropped his jaw realizing that he made Mavis worried about him.
"Oh Mavis. I'm terribly sorry. I didn't mean to worry you like that. I'm alright now." Dracula reassured hugging Mavis back which then reminded her of something else.
"JOHNNY! Holy Rabies! We couldn't find Johnny anywhere..." Mavis screamed panicking but was cut off when Batman/Johnny joined them.
"Calm down. Johnny's fine. I saw him earlier calling for help but I told him to get to safety. He should be here by now." Batman/Johnny answered with his voice modulator/changer.
Mavis wasn't sure how to react from what Batman/Johnny told her but somehow this calmed her down a little. On the other hand, Mavis was amazed seeing Batman/Johnny for the first time in person. Especially after saving Dracula's life.
"You're the Batman. You saved my father's life from that evil clown. Thank you." Mavis said smiling very thankful for Batman/Johnny's heroic act.
"Yes, you did. I wouldn't be here with my family if it wasn't for you. Thank you." Dracula said putting his arm around his daughter's shoulder pulling Mavis closer to him.
"The pleasure is all mine, sir. I also thank you for helping me stop these maniacs and rescuing the other hostages." Batman/Johnny said.
"Well the pleasure is also mine as well. You can call me Dracula or Drac if you want to." Dracula said with a friendly smile accepting Batman/Johnny as a friend.
"If you insist, Dracula." Batman/Johnny nodded appreciating their support. He turns around and saw Hank, Pedro, and Wendy were looking at him with those big grins on their faces and making squealing noises in excitement. Batman/Johnny knew that they were huge fans of him so he acted like he didn't know them and to be friendly with them. "Who are you guys supposed to be."
"Oh. They're just my friends. This is Hank, Pedro, and Wendy." Mavis went to her friends introducing them to Batman/Johnny.
"It's really awesome to finally meet you, Sir. Batman! Or is it just... Batman?" Hank spoke up while extending his arm for a hand shake.
"Nice to meet you all." Batman/Johnny gave them each a hand shake. Hank, Pedro, and Wendy couldn't help it but released a few giggles that Batman/Johnny shakes their hands.
"Hey, Batman. Is it okay if I could keep this?" Pedro asked timidly while showing the batarang he got while Batman/Johnny, Mavis, Hank and Wendy were surprised at the dangerous material he was holding.
"Pedro, where'd you get that?" Mavis asked nervously.
"I found it just lying around the floor. Pretty cool!" Pedro answered while holding the batarang with his two hands.
"Oooh. So shiny! Could we have one too?" Wendy asked excitedly.
"I'm afraid I have to say no and I needed back." Batman/Johnny said in disapproval which made Hank, Pedro, and Wendy sad.
"Aww, please. It's just one." Pedro said with an innocent smile hoping the vigilante could say yes. Batman/Johnny just crossed his arms and glared at Pedro.
"You don't understand, Pedro. A Batarang is NOT a toy. It's a dangerous weapon. You could hurt somebody with it. I suggest you hand it back to me." Batman/Johnny stated in a serious tone.
"He's kinda right, Pedro. I mean that thing is really sharp and you could hurt somebody with it." Mavis said worriedly.
"Fine." Pedro frowned in disappointment while giving Batman/Johnny the batarang.
After Batman/Johnny puts the batarang back on his utility belt, he noticed a little boy crying hugging his legs while burying his face. He came over to the little boy to know what's his problem. Before he could even talk to the boy, Batman/Johnny turned off his voice modulator/changer to avoid scaring the kid.
"Hello there." Batman/Johnny said in his normal voice kneeling down to the boy's height level. The boy managed to put his head up and saw the man who called him.
"Ba... Batman?" The boy asked timidly while sobbing in tears.
"Hey, everything's going to be okay. You're going to be alright." Batman/Johnny said calmly. "Where are your parents, kid?."
"My parents... that evil scary clown took my parents away from. Now I don't know where he's taking them. I'm scared." The boy answered started crying again. Batman/Johnny figured out that the boy's parents were one of the hostages that the Joker has taken.
"What's you're name, kid?" Batman/Johnny asked.
"Ri... Richard... Richard Grayson." The boy/Richard answered.
"Don't worry, Richard. I promise you that I'll get your parents back safely and make that evil clown pay for his crimes." Batman/Johnny said sincerely while standing up. Just then, Dracula went over to Batman/Johnny finding out what's the situation.
"What's wrong?" Dracula asked which made Batman/Johnny turned his voice modulator/changer back on to disguise his real voice.
"The boy's parents were one of the hostages that were taken by the Joker. I'm bringing them back." Batman/Johnny said.
"Oh poor boy." Dracula looks down at the crying Richard felling bad for him. He thought that bringing Richard to the hotel could help him keep safe. "If it helps, maybe me and my family could bring this boy back to our home until we're sure his parents are alright. He should safe there I promise."
"Good call. I'm trusting you on this one, Dracula. I'll find the Joker." Batman/Johnny said while Dracula accompanied Richard. To Dracula's surprise, the young boy wasn't even scared to see him but rather he was amazed to meet the famous vampire in real life.
Before hunting down the Joker, Batman/Johnny needed to change back into his usual clothes so that Johnny Loughran could be reunited with his family safe and sound but a familiar female voice caught his attention.
"Wait." Mavis spoke up making Batman/Johnny to face her. "I just gotta ask, you've been doing this job for quite a while now. Saving the lives of people and stopping the bad guys but... why do you do what you do?"
"Because I made a promise. Seeing innocent people die... is the hardest part of this job and it's unavoidable." Batman/Johnny said lowering his head remembering the horrible night his parents were murdered. "That's why somebody needs to lock the criminals away before they even hurt anyone else. I serve justice for the greater good. If I don't do this, no one else would."
"Oh. I... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to pry. I shouldn't have asked." Mavis apologized noticing that Batman/Johnny could only feel sadness and anger at once.
"It's alright. No harm done." Batman/Johnny calmly said reassuring her. "I only created Batman because I didn't want innocent people to die and to protect the people I care about the most."
"We're all glad that you're doing the right thing." Mavis cheered for Batman/Johnny's bravery. Hearing those words made Batman/Johnny smile, especially coming from his fiancée, Mavis.
"See you around, Mavis." Batman/Johnny said as he fired his grappling gun on the rooftops.
"Whoa. He's kinda cool." Mavis watching Batman/Johnny zipping himself up on the rooftops but then blushed a little. Unknown to her that Hank, Pedro, and watched the interaction between Mavis and Batman/Johnny. "What are you guys starring at?"
"Mavis has a crush on Batman!" Wendy squealed while Hank and Pedro laughed.
"What?! No I don't!" Mavis shouted in embarrassment still blushing.
"Yeah she does! First Jett Black and now Batman. Johnny's gonna get jealous!" Hank laughed comparing Mavis' first vampire singer crush to the cape crusader.
"Alright, I may be disappointed that Uncle Drac is not Batman but this is way better!" Pedro continued to laugh.
"Shut up! I don't even know who he is and I'm getting married to Johnny, remember?!" Mavis retorted getting irate at them teasing her.
