Hey! I'm back. First of all thanks to Alice Forshadow and Guest for reviewing the last chapter. By the way, Guest, Foghorn did show up in Chapter 3. Very briefly, but he was there. I find his voice pattern very hard to write, which is why he hasn't turned up more.
Anyway - hope you enjoy. And thank you guest for giving me the idea.
See chapter one for the disclaimer and let's crack on.
"Okay!" Bugs said, hurriedly before Rhythm could start making the lights flicker again. "De second challenge is a race."
Rhythm gave the bunny a flat look.
Bugs glared and indicated Speedy and Roadie [Roadie still standing protectively in front of Wile.E]. "Oi'm assumin' as 'King of de Serververse' you know our cartoons? Speedy and Roadie are the best runners dis side of Toontown. De next challenge is for you ta choose one of 'em ta race."
Rhythm blinked and looked round. "And where exactly were you envisioning we would race? This is essentially a square box."
As much as Bugs disliked the other, he had to admit Rhythm had a point. Then he had an idea and there was a ping as the lightbulb came on above his head. He reached up and pulled down a backdrop of a desert. "Both Speedy an' Roadie are used ta racin' on dis terrain." He explained. "So it doesn't matter who ya pick...what?" He asked, seeing Rhythm's outraged expression. "What's da matter now?"
"And how exactly am I meant to get in there, you stupid animal?" Rhythm snapped.
Ignoring the jibe, Bugs said, patiently. "Well, most people just kinda revert to their childhood and that seems to work? C'mon Rhythm, give it a try. I can assure ya, it's never gone wrong before."
"There iz a first time for everything, however." Pepe murmured to Penelope, who promptly elbowed him in the ribs.
Rhythm looked at the backdrop like he thought it was a trick. He edged forward and stroked it, causing it to flap back. "How do you step into this?" He said, sceptically. "It's a piece of a paper."
"Just let yerself go and step into it." Bugs said, using all his acting skills in order to keep a straight face.
For a moment Rhythm hesitated and it looked like he was going to give it a try. Then he quickly batted the backdrop causing it to flap backwards and he stepped away from it again. "No way, not happening." He then waved his arms and the ground shifted below the toons, causing them to all yell out and grab each other. When the ground came to a halt they opened their eyes and saw that Rhythm had transformed his little cube into a stadium, complete with 100-metre track. Rhythm indicated it and said, petulantly. "This or nothing."
Bugs shrugged. "Who are ya racin', Doc?" He asked, struggling to keep a level tone whilst wishing Rhythm would just hurry up and make a decision already. He looked up to see the box Elmer was in swinging slightly, although the toon inside wasn't moving at all. Bugs couldn't decide if that was good or bad.
Rhythm meanwhile was pondering hard. Pete came over and beaped suggestions in his ear, an effort his 'friend' repaid by batting him away and snarling at him to get lost. He looked at Roadrunner and Speedy again and did some calculations. They were both capable of running at the same speed, but Speedy was significantly smaller than the Roadrunner. So, in order for that to be possible Speedy must be taking more steps than the Roadrunner, which means he must be running faster.
"...I'll take Roadrunner."
"Just as long as you promise to give him back again." Daffy quipped. Porky elbowed him and shook his head gently.
Bugs shot Daffy a look, then turned his attention back to Rhythm and nodded. "Okay, ground rules. No changing the scenery and no moving the finishing line. No teleportation either - it's running or nothing. Deal?"
"Deal." With a smile a crocodile would be proud off, Rhythm held his hand out and he and Bugs shook on it.
Bugs stepped back and slipped a random pair of shades on. "Roadie." He clicked his fingers and indicated the track.
Roadrunner nodded and looked down at Wile.E who in turn gave him a shaky thumbs up and stood up.

A few minutes later and Roadrunner and Rhythm were both in position Roadrunner clad in a runners outfit complete with headband. Rhythm looked snootily over at him, then said in a deadpan tone. "Let's get this over with."
Bugs looked over at Porky who was holding a starting gun and nodded.
Porky nodded back then held the gun up and announced. "R-r-ready, s-s-se-se - oh, just go!" And he fired the gun straight up into the air.
Roadrunner did his trademark beap and started to run. He got about two seconds down the track until Rhythm held his hand out and suddenly Roadrunner froze. Like literally froze, mid-run.
Wile.E was on the track in an instance, grabbing his twins shoulders and shaking him desperately, meanwhile Rhythm smugly jogged past the frozen form of Roadrunner and sauntered his way to the finish line.
"Roadie!" Wile.E cried, desperately. "Roadie, talk to me!"
"De fuck have you done to him?" Bugs yelled, as Rhythm passed the winning line and the illusion of the stadium disappeared in a flash.
The tall man looked board as he explained. "Relax, you silly creature, I've just frozen him. Look, it's easily undone." Rhythm waved his hands again and Roadie was suddenly unfrozen. Still mid-race as far as he was concerned Roadie beeped happily and sprinted to the finish line, trampling over poor Wile.E as he did so.
Flat on the ground the coyote held up a sign that said. 'I hate my life.' on it.
While that little scenario played out behind him, Bugs was tearing into Rhythm with a ferocity his siblings had never seen before. "Dat wasn't in the rules, Doc! Where's ya sense of fair play fer cryin' out loud!? Oi know ten year olds more mature than yo_" There was a gurgling noise as Bugs was suddenly lifted up mid-rant by Rhythm and held about an inch away from the black man's nose.
"Tell me where it was stated I couldn't freeze people?" Rhythm said, politely. Bugs struggled to reply and Rhythm shook him again. "Well!?"
Just as Bugs was beginning to see spots in the eyes, Rhythm gave a sharp yell and dropped him.
Gasping for air, Bugs heard a familiar yell. "Duck Dodgers of the 24th and a half century strikes again!" He looked up to see Dodgers aiming his laser pistol straight at Rhythms head. "Try anything like that again and next time I won't missth, understand?" Dodgers growled, twirling the pistol round menacingly.
Rhythm gave the little black duck a death glare, but did step away from the rabbit.
"A-a-aright, enough!" Porky growled, taking his life into his hands and stepping in-between Daffy and Rhythm. "W-w-we admit you won th-th-the race, alright? So it's on-on-on - oh, you not what I mean! We're even! Bugs." The pig squeezed his brothers shoulder and looked up at Elmer's still form. "G-g-get on with it."
