Hello there! Another chapter is here! Last time, the red crystal made it into both the spotlight and Heather's unassuming grasp. What'll happen in the games and to Heather? Find out in this chapter of Total Drama: Running Time!

We see the Running Men on their platforms in the stadium. All of them were excited for the next match, except for Heather, who has visible eye bags.
"Yo, Heather, you good?" Duncan asked in seeing the eye bags. "You look tired. Woke up on the wrong side of the bed?"
"I have no idea." Heather heavily yawned. "I haven't felt this tired since the Awake-a-thon challenge Chris made us do."
"Well, I hope that doesn't change your performance in this game." Duncan states.
Heather yawned heavily again as the crystal in her pocket glowed for a second. Kitty eyes this and looks suspiciously at her.
"I'm pretty sure my Spirit could fix it up." Heather states.
A robot appears in front of them.
"Welcome to the second team match! In this match, there will be 2 Team Captains!" The robot announced.
"Team captains?" Shawn asked if he heard it correctly.
"We have already decided the team captains based on popularity amongst the citizens of Tree City!" The robot continued. "The Blue Team's Captain is Duncan!"
Duncan then smirks in hearing this.
"And the Red Team's Captain is Kitty!" The robot continued.
"Nice." Kitty smiled.
"Duncan's teammates are Shawn, Owen and MacArthur." The robot announces the teams. "Kitty's teammates are Carrie, Heather and Mike."
The Blue Team gets blue holographic badges on their shoulders and the Red Team gets red holographic badges on their shoulders.
"Okay then." Kitty said.
"I can work with this." Duncan said.
The stadium lights up to materialize into the Super Arena.
"The game is called Team Change Battle!" The robot announced the name of the match.
Holographic screens appeared in front of each of the Running Men.
"Each of you will have 20 balls in your watches in your respective team color. Each of you can pull out a change ball from your watch to attack the other team." The female voice announces the rules of the game.
"Change balls?" Owen asked.
"Hitting someone with a change ball will change the victim's team into the thrower's team." The female voice continues. "If you catch a ball thrown at you, you won't change teams, and the ball becomes yours."
"What?" MacArthur was confused.
"Can the Captains also change teams?" Mike asked is the Captains can also change.
"Captains will not change teams even if they are hit." The robot adds.
"So how do you win this game?" Kitty asked how to win the game.
"Only a Team Captain can take out another Team Captain. Only Kitty and Duncan can take each other out. Whoever takes out the other person wins the game for the team!" The robot continues.
"Well then." Kitty thinks about the information.
"Good to know." Duncan plans.
"Are you ready?" The robot said as it pointed at the audience.
The audience cheers wildly.
"It's Running Time!" The robot announces the start of the game.
The Running Men then fly into the stadium.
We see the Blue Team huddling, thinking of a plan.
"So, what do we do, Duncan?" Owen asked for a plan.
"Focus all attacks on Kitty." Duncan said. "Let's make this quick."
"Good plan." Shawn agrees to the plan. "Better stick together."
"Let's get her!" MacArthur yelled. "Leeroy Jenkins!"
MacArthur then rushed away from the group.
"MacArthur!" Duncan yelled for her to come back.
"Let's go before we get ambushed." Shawn states.
"Okay." Owen agreed.
The Blue Team then ran after MacArthur.
We then see the Red Team walking around the arena.
"So, what do we do?" Carrie asked.
"The other team will be targeting me. We should set up a trap." Kitty suggests. "You guys hide while me and Heather wait out in the open."
"Are you sure she can do it?" Mike asked. "Heather doesn't seem fine." He was worried.
"Of course I am. I probably just didn't sleep well." Heather denies her state.
"Well, if you say so." Kitty said while keeping a close eye on her.
"Watch out!" Mike yelled as he saw something.
Mike then hits an incoming ball that was flying towards Kitty with his batons. Unfortunately, he unintentionally redirects it to Heather, electrocuting her and changing her holographic badge blue.
"Yaaaaaaagh!" Heather yelled from the shock.
"Heather has now joined the Blue Team!" The robot announced.
"What the?!" Kitty yelped in surprise.
"One more thing, if you get hit by a ball, you will be electrocuted for 3 seconds. During this time, you cannot change back even if you get hit." The robot appears to add this information.
Heather then drops to the ground, weakened.
"Ugh, why didn't you say that in the beginning?!" Heather yelled, deeply annoyed.
Heather's eyes glow red for a bit. Kitty sees this, but it also doesn't go unnoticed to Carrie.
"What the heck?" Carrie thought to herself.
' Red eyes?' Kitty then went into deep thought.
Suddenly, another ball appears and hits Kitty in the back. Luckily, the ball wasn't from Duncan, so she didn't get eliminated.
"Gyaaaaaagh!" Kitty yelled from the shock
Then Shawn and MacArthur appeared.
After Kitty stops being electrocuted, Carrie and Mike take up fighting stances.
"So, you know what to do?" Mike asked.
"Yeah, throw balls at them." Carrie said.
Both of their watches glow and balls appear on each of their hands.
"I still have this!" MacArthur yelled.
MacArthur then takes out her Spirit and inserts it into her watch.
-Spirit of Lightning-
MacArthur takes out her gun and fires at the two. Luckily, they dodge it quickly.
"Whoa!" Carrie exclaimed.
Mike then throws a ball at MacArthur, but Shawn then jumps in front of her and catches it.
"Nice catch, zombie boy!" MacArthur yelled in awe.
Shawn then throws a ball at Kitty, hitting her in the head.
"Yaagh!" Kitty yelled from the shock.
Shawn uses his watch to contact Duncan.
"Duncan! Come quick!" Shawn yelled to prompt Duncan to come to them.
"Guys, we need to get out of here!" Mike yelled on hearing this play out.
"On it." Carrie said.
Carrie then helps Kitty up and all three of them run from the scene.
"They're getting away!" MacArthur yelled in seeing this.
"I get them!" Shawn yelled.
Shawn then takes out his Spirit and inserts it into his watch.
-Spirit of Ice-
Shawn places his hands on the floor and an ice path appears under the Red Team. This causes them to slip on their backs.
"Whoaaaaa!" They all yell as they hit the floor.
"Yeah! Nail 'em to the ground!" MacArthur yelled.
Duncan and Owen catch up with them.
"Nice work guys!" Duncan smiled.
Duncan takes out a ball and throws it at Kitty.
"Aaah!" Kitty yelled.
Kitty then inserts her Spirit into her watch.
-Spirit of the Wind-
"Return to Sender!" Kitty yelled.
Kitty then uses her wind power to redirect the ball towards Duncan. The ball then hits him in the face, but since Kitty didn't catch the ball, Duncan doesn't get eliminated.
"Yaaaggggggh!" Duncan yelled from the electrocution.
Kitty then uses a big blast of wind to push her and her teammates away from the battle.
Shawn helps Duncan up in seeing them get away.
"Well then, that was a bust." Duncan states.
"Yeah, we need to think of another strategy." Shawn adds in thinking that they have to mix things up.
"We cut 'em off on the other way." Duncan explains his plan.
"Okay then." Shawn agrees with this plan.
"I'll redirect them towards you." MacArthur said.
MacArthur then runs off, following the Red Team.
"Should we go after her?" Shawn asked.
"Nah, it'll be her fault if she turns to the other team." Duncan doesn't care about MacArthur running off.
Owen then helps Heather up.
"Wow, you seem really tired." Owen said in noticing Heather's eyebags.
"It's nothing, I can still hold my own." Heather denies her tiredness.
Then Heather's eyes glow red for a second. She still doesn't notice it, but Owen did.
"Ummmm." Owen's jaw dropped.
"What? What is it?" Heather noticed his odd reaction.
"Uh, nothing?" Owen denied what he saw.
Owen then backs off slowly, joining with the rest of the Blue Team.
"What's with him?" Heather was confused.
We then see the Red Team walking through the arena.
"Okay, we need to set up the ambush now." Carrie states.
"But first, we need to find a good spot to do it." Mike says. "Kitty, we should scout out the area."
But Kitty was in the middle of deep thought.
'Hm, Heather seems pretty off today, and there was something glowing red in her pocket. Could it be…' Kitty thought about Heather's behavior.
"Kitty?" Mike noticed that she was spacing out.
"Oh, um. What are we talking about?" Kitty snapped out of her deep thought.
"We were thinking if we should scout out the area." Carrie explained what they were talking about.
"Oh, then, we'll do that." Kitty agrees with her plan.
Kitty then inserts her Spirit into her watch.
-Spirit of the Wind-
Kitty takes flight around the area in search of another spot. Carrie and Mike watch her from below.
"Hm, has Heather been acting pretty weird to you lately?" Carrie brought up the conversation about Heather.
"No, other than just feeling tired, I think she's the same." Mike thinks Heather is okay.
"Really? I saw her eyes glow red a while ago. What was that about?" Carrie explained what she saw.
"Are you sure? That kinda sounds weird." Mike doesn't seem concerned about the eyes.
"I swear, I know what I saw." Carrie said.
"Well, if there was something weird about this game, I'm not sure they would use glowing red eyes to signify it." Mike states.
"Yeah, that would be dumb, but we still gotta stay vigilant." Carrie said.
"Okay then." Mike said.
Suddenly, lightning shots were seen as they hit the backs of the two.
"Yaaaaaaargh!" The two yell from the pain and the shock.
The screams reach the ears of Kitty, still scouting the area.
"What the?!" Kitty turned to see the two being attacked. "Guys!"
MacArthur then went into the scene as she raised her gun in victory.
"Booyah!" MacArthur yelled.
"Ugh, I can't move." Carrie states as she tries to move her body.
"Nyagh, me too!" Mike states. "I think we're paralyzed!"
"Oh, well that wouldn't be good for our team." MacArthur said. "Maybe I should have aimed somewhere else. Eh, whatever"
MacArthur then takes out her balls and throws them at the two still on the ground.
"Mike has now joined the Blue Team! Carrie has now joined the Blue Team!" The robot announced.
"No!" Kitty yelled.
Kitty then begins throwing balls at MacArthur. MacArthur then uses her watch to contact the rest of her team while dodging.
"Shots fired! Shots fired! Need backup here!" MacArthur yelled through her watch.
MacArthur then shot out lightning shots at Kitty. Kitty then blocked these shots with her katana.
"Get back down here and fight like a real woman!" MacArthur yelled in seeing no way to hit her with balls while flying.
"Good idea." Kitty said. "Yaaaaa!"
Kitty then dive bombed at MacArthur. She tries to swing her sword, but it then was grabbed by Shawn's grappling hook.
"Ah crap." Kitty exclaimed in knowing that backup had arrived.
Kitty then retracts her katana as Shawn comes into her view.
"Wait, where are the other 3?" Kitty noticed the others were not there.
We then see the other three members of the Blue Team walking. Heather is weakening by the second.
"Are you sure you can still go?" Owen asked in worry.
"As I've said, I'm fine." Heather still denies it.
"Try your Spirit. It should fix you up." Duncan suggests.
"Ah, I forgot about that." Heather said.
Heather then takes out her Spirit and inserts it into her watch.
-Spirit of Energy-
A second after insertion, Heather clutches her head in severe pain.
"Aaaaaagh! Yaaaaaaaaagh!" Heather yelled.
"Heather? What's wrong?" Duncan asked in worry.
The crystal in her pocket begins flickering on and off. This caught the eyes of the two boys. Heather then stopped screaming. It looked like the pain was over. But she puts her hand in her pocket as she takes out the crystal.
"Um, Heather? What is that?" Duncan asked in seeing it.
Heather then takes out her staff and places the crystal on the tip of it. The crystal seemingly attaches itself to the staff.
"Why do I have a bad feeling about this?" Owen was getting extremely nervous.
Heather's eyes opened, and the boys were surprised to not see glowing blue eyes, but glowing dark red eyes.
We then see the battle with Kitty and the other members of the Blue Team. All three of them were exhausted while Carrie and Mike helplessly watched from afar.
"Come on, where's the backup?" MacArthur was getting impatient.
Suddenly, screams were heard. The group looks up as Duncan and Owen crash onto the floor.
"What in the heck happened?!" MacArthur yelled in surprise.
"Watch out!" Shawn yelled.
Heather then lands in the middle of the area, with glowing red eyes. A dark shadow looms around her.
"Heather?!" Kitty was shocked when she saw this.
Heather then shakes her staff and her eyes glow more fiercely.
The second team match is here and boy, oh boy, things are starting to heat up. Heather has now succumbed to the effects of the red crystal. Let's see what'll the rest of the Running Men do about this in the next chapter of Total Drama: Running Time!
