Chapter 21 is here! One chapter closer to the mysteries going full swing! I decided not to add the incredibly dangerous ball-bots from the show because yes. Let's see who wins and gets new Spirits in this brand spanking new chapter of Total Drama: Running Time!

Aztec 13: All the good times will fall down like London Bridge.

And sorry for the delay, Total Drama Mutant Mayhem released a new chapter and I had to read it. And also Writer's Block.

We see Duncan and Carrie walking into the 3rd floor obstacle, a seemingly safe cylindrical tunnel towards the other side of the room. There were 5 sections of the cylinder.

"Well then, this looks safe. Shall we go?" Carrie asked if they could traverse the obstacle.

"Wait, this seems too easy." Duncan states that this seems suspicious. "I'm gonna try something."

Duncan sticks his hand out into the tunnel and all 5 sections begin to slowly spin.

"Hmm, not what I was expecting." Duncan states.

"Well then, let's go." Carrie prompted.

The two began walking on the tunnel. Though both think they're safe, they still have a sinking feeling about this. But once they cross over to the second section, all the sections spin rapidly.

"Whoaaa!" Carrie exclaimed.

The two began running against the turning so they wouldn't trip.

"Okay! Um… this is pretty bad!" Duncan states.

"You think?!" Carrie exclaimed in hearing him state the obvious.

"Come on, let's slowly make our way to the other side." Duncan prompts.

"Can't we go any faster?! My side is already starting to cramp!" Carrie said while clutching her side.

"It's either a cramp or being covered in your own vomit!" Duncan states.

"Come on, I don't have that weak of a stomach!" Carrie states in thinking he's directing it to her.

"Me neither! But no matter how strong your stomach is, when you trip, you'll be spewing chunks in minutes!" Duncan states.

The two begin slowly making their way towards the other side of the room.

We then see the other Running Men unconscious on the second floor. Kitty was the first to wake up.

"Ugh… that was very dumb. I should probably be careful with that move next time." Kitty says while rubbing her head in pain.

Kitty then stands up and looks where her teammates and the other Pursuers team were unconscious.

"What even happened here?" Kitty exclaimed.

Kitty then flies to where they were. She lands as she observes what had happened.

"Oh shoot! The race!" Kitty realises what was going on.

Kitty then rushes to wake up Shawn and MacArthur. She began shaking them. Shawn woke up.

"Ugh, what happened?" Shawn said while holding his head.

"All of us were knocked out. But Duncan and Carrie are already in the lead." Kitty then gave a status.

"Ah crap!" Shawn then looked at the other team. "Should we steal their shields?" He asks.

"We have no time, let's go!" Kitty prompted.

"Okay then." Shawn agreed. "But what about MacArthur?"

"Leave her to me, you go ahead." Kitty said.

Shawn then grapples to the other side of the room. Kitty inserts her Spirit into her watch.

-Spirit of the Bubble-

Kitty then formed a shield bubble around her and MacArthur. The bubble then makes its way towards the other side of the room. MacArthur begins waking up.

"Ugh, that was rough." MacArthur groaned.

"Oh good, you're awake." Kitty said.

The bubble flies above the end of the room and pops. While Kitty landed smoothly, MacArthur landed abruptly.

"Oogh! Not again!" MacArthur exclaimed.

All three then ran out of the room.

We then see Duncan and Carrie making their way to the third section of the cylindrical.

"This is getting very tiring!" Duncan yelled.

"Agh! Cramps!" Carrie yelled while clutching her side.

"We're halfway there! Just hold on!" Duncan yelled.

Suddenly, something was caught at the corner of Carrie's eye.

"Duck!" Carrie yelled out.

Carrie and Duncan ducked down as a grappling hook went directly above their heads.

"Whoa! What the heck?!" Duncan exclaimed.

The hook clamps onto the other side of the room, and we see Shawn grappling towards them.

"Ah crap!" Duncan exclaimed.

"I got this!" Carrie yelled out.

Carrie then punches Shawn in the stomach. This causes him to drop onto the spinning tunnel and gets pulled with it.

"Agh! Help! This is already making me very nauseous!" Shawn yelled.

Kitty and MacArthur were seen running into the room.

"What the?!" MacArthur exclaimed in seeing the room. "Each floor gets worse and worse!"

"No time to look, we've gotta get Shawn out of there!" Kitty states.

"But what about Carrie and Duncan?" MacArthur asked if they should capture the other team.

"Teammates first." Kitty states.

"Ugh, fine." MacArthur gives in.

Kitty takes out her Spirit and inserts it into her watch.

-Spirit of the Bubble-

Kitty manifests a bubble around Shawn. The bubble stops him from spinning any further.

"Ugh, I think I'm gonna be sick." Shawn groaned, feeling incredibly nauseous.

Carrie saw this as an opportunity for escape.

"Duncan, grab on." Carrie prompted.

"Um… okay?" Duncan wasn't sure what to think of this.

Duncan grabbed onto Carrie's back and she climbed onto the bubble, albeit with a lot of difficulty.

"Shake them off!" MacArthur ordered.

"What? Do you want to see puke flying everywhere?!" Kitty asked rhetorically.

"Well yeah, it would make this situation a little more exciting!" MacArthur states that it would be a lot more exciting.

"Maybe not shake them off. I'm still feeling queasy." Shawn pleads and says that he is still nauseous.

"Okay Carrie, what now?" Duncan asked.

"Jump!" Carrie yelled out.

The two then made a jump for it. They crash onto the 5th section and their momentum moves them forward to the end of the tunnel.

"Ach! My shoulder!" Duncan yelled in pain.

"Oops! Sorry!" Carrie apologised.

"They're getting away! Again!" MacArthur yelled.

MacArthur takes out her Spirit and inserts it into her watch.

-Spirit of Lightning-

MacArthur takes out her gun and begins firing at the two.

"Let's get out of here!" Duncan yelled.

"Okay then!" Carrie agrees.

The two run off out of the room. Kitty then began pulling Shawn towards them.

"Let's try again." Kitty states.

We then see the other Pursuers team unconscious on the second floor. Owen woke up first.

"Wow, that was a rough landing." Owen says as he rubs his head. "Mike, wake up." He shakes his teammate.

"Huh? What?" Mike slowly wakes up.

"The game is still on. Let's go." Owen prompted.

"Oh shoot! Right!" Mike exclaimed in forgetting.

Mike then turns to shake Heather awake.

"Heather?" Mike tries to wake her up.

Heather then abruptly wakes up.

"What?! What's going on?!" Heather wakes up in an alerted state.

"Whoa! I was just trying to wake you up." Mike was taken aback by this behavior.

Heather began clutching her head in some sort of pain.

"Ugh, that was a weird dream." Heather groaned.

"Heather, we're still in the game. You still there?" Owen asked with concern.

"Wait, dream?" Mike asked if he heard it right.

"I had a very weird dream. Ugh, must be the effects of the crystal." Heather states.

"Wait, tell us what dream." Mike says.

"Well, I was floating in some sort of red void, and I saw 8 mirrors made out of the red crystals." Heather was explaining her dream. "When I went to get a closer look, each mirror had a dark figure inside, banging the mirrors and screaming for help." She was exhausted from the dream.

"Okay, that sounds sorta weird." Mike was unsure of how to respond. "What else did you see?" He signalled to continue.

"Not much, it was just loud screaming from the figures." Heather states. "But the figures and voices seem so familiar, but I wasn't thinking clearly due to the ear shattering screeches." She adds. "Ugh, the screams are still ringing in my head."

"Well, it obviously comes from being under the effects of the crystal. It may still have some lasting effects on you." Mike shrugs it off. "Just try to rest. Owen and I will do the game, you just stay behind and rest."

"Okay then. But this headache is killing me!" Heather agrees while clutching her head.

"Hold on to me." Owen said.

The two hold on to Owen as he uses his rocket boots to jump to the other side of the room.

"We better hurry, I have no idea how long we've been out." Owen states that they would need to hurry.

The three then run out of the room.

We then see Duncan and Carrie walking into where the 4th floor obstacle was. It was another tunnel, but inside it were lasers scattering around inside it.

"Woah! This reminds me of that spy challenge back in Season 2." Duncan smiles in remembering.

Duncan waits for a response, but gets none. He turns to Carrie still observing the lasers. But then she notices that he was looking at her.

"Don't look at me, I was not with you guys in your seasons." Carrie points out.

"Okay." Duncan raised and eyebrow at this remark. "Aren't you going to heal my shoulder?"

"Oh yeah, right." Carrie laughs in forgetting.

Carrie then inserts her Spirit into her watch.

-Spirit of Healing-

Carrie then puts her hand on Duncan's shoulder. After a green glow, the shoulder heals immediately.

"Ah, that's better." Duncan sighed, relieved. "What now?"

"I guess we try to traverse this laser grid." Carrie points out.

Carrie walks up to the lasers. She takes out the pinky of her robot arm, thinking it would hurt. But as her pinky grazes the laser, she gets teleported back to the door.

"Whoa!" Carrie was taken aback by the sudden displacement. "Okay, not what I expected, but still better than actual deadly lasers." She states.

"Let's go before the others get here." Duncan states.

The two then began traversing the laser grid as their goal of winning the game gets closer.

We then see Heather, Owen and Mike walking into the 3rd floor obstacle.

"Okay, hopefully the others are busy fighting each other." Heather states.

"Um, I don't think so." Owen said as he looked at the tunnel.

They see the other Pursuers team near the other side of the tunnel. Kitty manifested a shield bubble around them and was making their way to the other side.

"Oh crap! What do we do?!" Mike yelled.

"This might hurt." Owen calls out without warning.

Owen then inserts his Spirit into his watch.

-Spirit of the Bounce-

Owen grabbed Mike without warning.

"What the?" Mike was confused by the action.

"Use your batons to do damage to the bubble." Owen explains the plan.

"Um… okay?" Mike hesitantly agrees.

Owen curls up into a ball and bounces towards the bubble. As he reaches it, he lets go of Mike, giving him a vantage point.

Mike then takes out his Spirit and inserts it into his watch midair.

-Spirit of Cloning-

Mike then makes 3 other clones of himself and they smash their batons at the top of the bubble.

"Hey! What the?!" MacArthur yelled out.

The damage was enough to break the bubble, which causes the group to fall down onto the tunnel wall, with the Mikes along with them.

"Whoa!" All four of them yell out.

Heather immediately inserts her Spirit into her watch.

-Spirit of Energy-

Heather then ran at the group. Because of her high speed, she isn't caught by the spinning of the tunnel.

"I gotcha!" Heather yelled out.

Heather grabs Mike and throws him to the end where Owen was waiting. She then lands near them.

"Okay, now that they're done, let's go get the ring." Heather smiles in seeing the situation cleared.

"Let's hurry!" Owen yelled.

The three leave the room to go up a floor, leaving the other three spinning in the tunnel.

"Ugh, I knew I shouldn't have eaten that whole bucket of buffalo wings." MacArthur groans as she begins feeling nauseous.

"Is she saying what I think she's saying?" Kitty asked, slightly alarmed in hearing this.

"Oh no!" Shawn yelled.

We then see Duncan and Carrie successfully reaching the end of the 4th floor obstacle.

"Whoo! We did it!" Carrie yelled.

"Not just yet." Duncan states while pointing at the entrance of the 4th floor.

They see Heather, Owen and Mike trying to traverse the laser grid.

"Let's go." Carrie said.

The two walk out of the room. The scene switches to both of them walking into a circular room with a floating platform in the center. The middle of the platform is an altar. They walk up to it and see that the altar has a ring like hole in it. A hole fit for a ring.

"So, ready to do the honors?" Duncan lets Carrie insert the ring.

"Okay." Carrie said with determination.

Carrie takes out the ring and places the ring into the altar. The cieling of the pyramid opens up as the platform floats upwards for the winners to be displayed in the statdium.

"The winner of the third round of the team match is… the Fugitives team!" The robot announces the winners of the match.

The two high five as they look around the stadium with pride.

That's the team matches out of the way, we can go to the final matches and deeper in the conspiracy of Tree City. But wait? What's about the final matches that makes it so special? Find out in the next few chapters, because it will take you by surprise, but not if you predict it beforehand with all the hints I've scattered around.

Bye my hotmen.
