Hello guys, another chapter is calling and it wants you to read it. Last time, we see Duncan and Carrie overcoming the final team match and coming out on top. And this might be the very last time the Running Men get to earn Spirits. But as the game goes on, dark secrets emerge from the shadows. And one more chapter to reveal the fate of the missing. What will happen in this chapter of Total Drama: Running Time!
Aztec 13: The truth about Heather's nightmare will be revealed in the future.
We see the Running Men (except Duncan and Carrie since they're obtaining their prize) walk into the dorms. Kitty, MacArthur and Shawn are covered in vomit.
"If you need me, I'll be in the shower." Kitty said in an agitated tone.
"Come on. Thanks to that spinner, I tasted those delicious wings for the second time." MacArthur tries not to think of it too much.
"You're disgusting, you know that?!" Heather was also disgusted by what MacArthur was saying.
"Yeah, you guys need a shower." Mike points out.
Kitty and Shawn walk out of the lounge to their rooms to shower.
"Just take a shower. Maybe try to go into the finals with some semblance of dignity." Heather said.
"Ugh, fine, whatever." MacArthur agreed, slightly frustrated.
MacArthur walked out of the lounge. The rest sat down on the couches and planned on their next plan of action.
"Okay, so Heather. Try to sleep. Let's try and see what or who you saw in the crystalline mirrors." Mike tells Heather to go back to the dream.
"Wait, we're going through that path? I thought we were thinking of what to do in the finals." Owen states.
"We'll do that later. Right now, we've got to find what my dream is trying to say." Heather states that they would find the meaning of her dream.
"Lie down." Mike suggests.
Heather then lies down on the couch, takes a deep breath and goes into deep sleep.
We then see Scarlett's group in the laboratory. This time, Scarlett is preparing to lead Team E-scope with her through the bowels of Tree City.
"So, what are we going to do?" Eva asks.
"While we're waiting for the files to decrypt, we try to find more clues on the missing." Scarlett explains what they need to do. "We know Alejandro is there, now we need to find anything regarding the others." She adds that they need to find something.
"So, we're just gonna pop into the laboratory?" Noah asks.
"Oh, no. The laboratory is probably heavily protected. We just go next to the gate. That way, we won't be in the middle of the hornet's nest." Scarlett points out.
"Let's go!" Izzy yelled.
Scarlett then inserts her Spirit into her watch.
-Spirit of Portals-
Scarlett makes a portal to the gate of the laboratory. They jump in and see the gate before them.
"This is the heart of Tree City. Let's try to make this search count." Scarlett states.
Noah takes a deep breath as the gate opens.
They walk in to see the circular laboratory. Right now, they were on a walkway above it.
"Stay quiet. Let's try and find a vantage point." Scarlett whispered.
The group crouches and makes their way to an overlook of the laboratory. They walk inside and see nothing inside, save for some chairs near the window.
"Okay, you guys wait here while I check the laboratory for anything." Scarlett instructed the group. "If anyone comes into the laboratory, signal me."
"What should we use as a signal?" Eva asked.
"I don't know. But we are in a laboratory. How about a chemical or electrical sound." Noah suggests.
"I can do all kinds of sound effects! Like one time…" Izzy yelled out unintentionally.
"Shhhh!" Scarlett immediately shushes Izzy down.
"What are you trying to do?! Trying to get us caught?!" Noah grunted in frustration.
Suddenly, there were some weird electrical noises around them. They look around the room for any sign of trouble.
"Ah, great." Scarlett facepalmed.
"Where's the sound coming from?" Noah asked.
After looking around, they realized that the sound wasn't coming from a threat, nor was it from the electrical systems, but from Izzy's covered mouth.
"Um, what?" Eva was confused.
"Hmm… okay. This could work." Scarlett said.
"GLAD I COULD…" Izzy said in a loud tone again, which made Eva threaten her with her fist. "Glad I could help."
"Well then, what do we do?" Noah asks.
"If you see anything interesting, signal me and point at it." Scarlett instructs.
"What about those incubators?" Izzy asks while pointing out the window.
They turn and see the incubators on the corners of the room. They were still opaque, so they couldn't find anything in them.
"Yeah, that would be a good place to start." Scarlett states.
"Good luck. I hope you find something on them." Noah wishes good luck.
Scarlett then walks out of the overlook, leaving the others on surveillance.
We then see Duncan and Carrie walking into the lounge. They were met with the sight of Heather sleeping on the couch and Mike and Owen sitting nearby.
"So, what did we miss?" Duncan asked.
"Heather had some sort of dream. We're just trying to get her to focus on it to see what it means." Owen explains.
"Where are the others?" Carrie asks.
"They're just taking showers. MacArthur vomited all over them." Mike states.
Duncan snickers at this.
"So, Duncan, what's your Spirit?" Owen asks.
"It's something called the Spirit of the Hand." Duncan states.
"What does it do?" Mike asks.
"It creates another hand made of energy that mimics my hand's movements. I can either send out small fist projectiles or create a big energy hand to slap your enemies." Duncan explains.
"Hmm, so, you're just trying to make Heather sleep to focus on her dream?" Carrie asked if that was the plan.
"Yup. I guess so." Mike confirms that it's the plan.
"Hold on, I think I can help." Carrie states.
Carrie then takes out her Spirit and inserts it into her watch.
-Spirit of Clairvoyance-
A holographic monacle appears on Carrie's right eye. Everyone in the room eyes this.
"What's that?" Mike asks in curiosity.
"It's called the Spirit of Clairvoyance." Carrie answered.
"The Spirit of whatnow?" Owen was confused by the name.
"Just think of it as an eye scanner. Makes you see things the human eye can't." Duncan explains.
"According to this, Heather seems calm." Carrie points out.
"Hmm, so she might not be in the dream yet." Owen said.
"We need to moniter this. If Heather becomes distressed, we take her out of the dream." Mike states that they'd need to moniter Heather's emotion.
"I hope we get something interesting." Duncan said.
We then see Scarlett walking around Tree City's laboratory, searching for clues. She walks up to an incubator and taps on it.
"What are in these things?" Scarlett wondered.
Scarlett then takes out an unusual pair of glasses and puts them on. She tries to get a reading on it, but can't see what's inside the incubator.
"Dang it, lead lined. I should have known if they were protecting something valuable in these things." Scarlett sighed in seeing this
Scarlett's glasses then detect the pipe that leads into the incubator. She looks around and sees that the other incubators also have pipes. And they converge in a hallway leading out of the laboratory.
"But I might find what they're using in these things." Scarlett states.
Scarlett began walking down the hallway, following the pipes. She then comes across another part of the laboratory. This time, it's rectangular, it has a lot more computers, and it has flamingo pink robots working inside it.
"Okay, this is where most of the research is." Scarlett remarked at the sight. "I've gotta say, this is a lot more cleaner than mine. I probably shouldn't leave my coffee cups lying around."
Scarlett then takes out a Spirit and inserts it into her watch.
-Spirit of the Shadows-
Scarlett encases herself into a black cloud and walks into the wing of the laboratory. When her glasses detect something, she grins.
"Okay, that might work." Scarlett states.
Scarlett then gets closer to a robot and engulfs it with the cloud. After a bit of a commotion, the cloud dissipates, revealing Scarlett using the robot as a disguise, tucking the circuit boards and wiring into her pocket.
"This can work." Scarlett said.
Scarlett walks around the laboratory. She then comes across a machine operated by a robot. When she gets a closer look, she sees a red crystal being crushed by a press. What was left was a red gas which circulated it's way into a pipe and into it's way to the other wing of the facility.
"Hmm, well I guess now I know what goes on in it. But what do they do?" Scarlett contemplated some more.
Scarlett looked around some more and sees 8 glass dishes with some hair samples.
"Hair? Must be DNA samples. But what do they need it for?" Scarlett asked.
Scarlett then sticks out her hand just a tiny bit to take a piece of hair from a dish.
"I think this is one of the missing's. Better do my own DNA test." Scarlett states.
Scarlett then began making her way to the other wing of the facility.
We then see a dark red void. Heather was seen swimming in it. This seems to be a dream.
"Okay, I might need wait for the mirrors to open up. I know this is the same red void that I was in last time." Heather mutters to herself.
Then, without warning, the mirrors appear in front of her. Almost like they responded to her thoughts.
"Oh, that was immediate." Heather remarked.
After a few seconds, she noticed that the figures weren't screaming or struggling in any way.
"Okay, this is weird." Heather states.
Upon closer inspection, she notices that the figures inside the mirrors were in a fatigued state, seemingly tired of an unknown energy.
"Wait, this is exactly how I was tired before my possession. I wonder if they're also exposed to the crystal." Heather wonders if that was the case.
Heather puts her hand on the mirrors, trying to make contact with the figures in the mirror.
We then see Scarlett, still in the disguise, walking into the laboratory with the incubators. Up on the overlook, Noah was observing from above while Izzy and Eva watch with him.
"What's with that robot?" Eva asked.
"I know. It moves differently than the others." Izzy points out.
"That isn't a robot. That's Scarlett, and I think she found a new disguise." Noah states.
But suddenly, the Game Master walks in, as well as a group of 5 robots. 4 were flamingo pink and 1 was black.
"Inject the last dose of amplifiers, I want the DV8 to be ready tomorrow." The Game Master ordered.
The robots spread out, readying the laboratory out.
"Ah crap." Noah muttered.
"Izzy, make the signal." Eva prompted.
Izzy then began making electrical noises which echoed around the laboratory. The Game Master looks at Scarlett, still in the disguise.
"A defect. Can't have that in my laboratory." The Game Master said, thinking it was a
The Game Master walks towards Scarlett, alerting her.
"Crap crap crap!" Scarlett muttered.
Scarlett then inserts a Spirit into her watch.
-Spirit of Portals-
The Game Master was about to grab the disguise to drain the energy. But the robot drops down and breaks, and we see the robot empty.
"You guys, dispose of this." The Game Master ordered.
"What the?" Noah was confused.
Behind them, a portal appears and Scarlett jumps out.
"What happened?" Eva asked.
"I got some good information. But first, let's see what they're going to do." Scarlett states.
"No, we leave. It's too dangerous." Noah disagrees.
"Okay, okay, fine." Scarlett gives in
Scarlett then makes a portal and they all jump out of there. When the black robot pulls a lever, injectors attatched to tubes appear and attach themselves to the incubators. The tubes then glow red, signifying that the amplifiers are being injected into the incubators.
We then see Heather inspecting the figures in the mirror.
"Hmm, let's see who you guys are." Heather said.
Then suddenly, the figure's eyes glow red and they began screaming and banging on the window, even louder than before.
"Gyaaaaaaah!" Heather tries to block out the noise, but to no avail. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!" She yelled out in excruciating pain.
We then see Mike, Owen, Carrie and Duncan observing Heather. Carrie then gets a reading.
"Wait, she's getting distressed. Extremely distressed!" Carrie grabs the others attention on the matter.
"Wait, really?" Duncan asks for confirmation.
"Yes, her heart rate is through the roof! We've gotta wake her up!" Carrie yelled.
Duncan then began shaking Heather.
"Come on! Wake up!" Duncan yelled.
Kitty then walks into the lounge, fresh from the shower.
"So, what are you guys do…" Kitty was in the middle of asking when she see's the scene.
"Come on! Wake up!" Duncan yelled.
"Um…" Kitty said as she slowly walks out of the lounge.
"How about we slap her?!" Carrie suggests.
"Good idea!" Duncan agrees.
Duncan then slaps Heather square in the face, bringing her back to the real world.
"Wha?! Hey?! What the?!" Heather woke up, incredibly alerted.
"Come on Heather! Wake up!" Duncan yelled, thinking she was still sleeping.
Duncan then gives another slap at Heather.
"Oww!" Heather yelped. "I was already awake, you dingus!"
"Oh." Duncan said.
"But thanks for that. The screams were a lot louder this time." Heather thanks them.
"But what did you see?" Owen asks.
"I didn't really see much. But the figures in the mirror. Before they began screaming, they were incredibly fatigued, like me before my possession." Heather explains what she saw.
"So, these figures could also be possessed?" Mike asks.
"No, it was like a more controlled kind of possession. It's like someone was trying to control the crystal's power." Heather says.
"Hmm, okay. I'll get Kitty." Carrie states.
