I have come to drop off this chapter. Last time, the final match began and now everyone is trying to survive long enough for Scarlett to release the DV8. What complications will be in tow, and what will happen next? Find out in this chapter of Total Drama: Running Time!

We see Duncan and MacArthur helping Kitty as they walk in the Super Arena. Kitty was still fatigued by what had happened.
"What was that?" MacArthur asked, referring to the incident moments ago.
"I have no idea, it's like something kicked into me. It's like energy rushing through my body." Kitty tries to explain what the experience felt like. "Now I know what adrenaline feels like."
"But how exactly did it kick in?" Duncan asked.
"It's like I focused all my energy into the Spirit and it surged through me." Kitty states.
"Wait, are you saying your Spirit can do that?" MacArthur asks. "Then maybe we can do it!" She then jumps to the conclusion.
"Yeah, I guess. But I'm not sure I want your Spirit to surge up, considering your aggressive nature." Duncan states that it would be bad if MacArthur's Spirit surged up.
"Yeah? You think you can't handle me when that happens?!" MacArthur gets heated in the argument.
"Maybe I can, but probably not the rest." Duncan states.
"Guys, can you stop arguing? We're still on a mission here." Kitty tries to stop the argument.
"Ugh, fine." MacArthur gives in.
We see the 3rd floor of the Pyramid. Heather, Owen, Mike, Carrie and Shawn walk out of a portal on one of the sides of the room.
"Does anyone even know where we're going?" Carrie asks.
"We're trying to get to the first floor of the War Tower. And possibly reunite with the others." Heather states.
"Will we still have to find their King?" Owen asks.
"Yes, this set will determine what we do in the next set." Heather states.
"But we still have to survive long for this to work." Shawn adds.
"Yeah." Heather agrees.
Heather taps her earpiece to contact Scarlett.
"So, any luck with the firewall?" Heather asks.
"I'm about 20 percent done. But you guys did well, you survived the first 5 minutes." Scarlett states. "And Kitty has managed to click in with the full power of her Spirit.
"Wait, really?" Heather was confused.
"... well, momentarily. If she can do it, probably you guys can too." Scarlett states.
"I'm not so sure. I think the full power of Carrie's Spirit is just observing things more." Heather states.
"I think some Spirits aren't supposed to be clicked in, you just need to know how to use them properly." Scarlett states.
"Know how to use them properly…" Shawn then observes his watch.
Heather takes out her Spirit and inserts it into her watch.
-Spirit of Energy-
Heather takes a deep breath and tries to click in with her Spirit. Moments pass and nothing happens.
"Okay, I have no idea how to do this." Heather states.
"Try focusing your energy on one part of your body." Shawn suggests.
"Or maybe use your other Spirit." Carrie suggests.
"Yeah, I don't think those are viable options." Heather states.
Suddenly, Brody jumps out of the portal behind them and begins firing at Carrie.
"Whoa!" Carrie exclaimed.
"Carrie!" Heather reached out.
Though Heather didn't grab Carrie in time, her hands glow blue and Carrie feels a rush of energy as her eyes glow blue.
"Whaaagh!" Carrie yelped from this sudden burst of energy.
Carrie begins dodging the energy shots before Heather can throw a staff at Brody, stunning him.
"Whoa! What was that?!" Owen exclaimed.
"I don't know, one second I was shot at, the next I feel a surge of energy!" Carrie tries to explain what happened.
"How did that even happen?!" Owen asks.
"I think it was because of you Heather." Shawn states his reasoning.
"I guess so. Now I can give energy to anyone." Heather states as her hands stop glowing.
"Um… did you remove this effect, I'm starting... to feel uneasy." Carrie says, slightly dazed.
Carrie drops down as her eyes return to normal.
"Whoa! Gotcha." Owen says as he catches her.
"Thanks, but that was weird. I guess we've found a new ability for you, Heather." Carrie states.
Suddenly, Jasmine appears and jump kicks Owen and Carrie into another portal.
"Jasmine?!" Shawn exclaimed
Jasmine jumps into the portal, following those she has attacked. Emma drops down from a portal above them as Brody stands up.
"Yikes!" Mike yelled.
Shawn takes out a Spirit and inserts it into his watch.
-Spirit of Ice-
Shawn shoots a javelin of ice at Emma. Emma dodges and goes for an attack.
"Gah!" Shawn yelled in seeing this.
Shawn's fists glow ice blue, and his entire body gets covered in ice platings. When the double blade strikes, the ice armor cracks, but Shawn was unharmed.
"What the?!" Mike exclaimed.
"Hmm…" Emma tried to analyse this.
"Whoa! I have ice armor!" Shawn yelled in awe.
Shawn clenched his fist, which was covered by an icy aura, and struck Emma on the shoulder.
"Gghhh!" Emma grunted.
Emma regroups with Brody as they prepare for battle.
"We should follow Owen and Carrie. Don't fight yet." Heather states.
"Okay." Shawn agrees.
The two turn to make a run for it, but are cut off by Gwen and Cameron entering the scene from above.
"This is getting ridiculous." Heather muttered.
We see a portal in the Path of Ice. Owen and Carrie get spit out of it and slide on the icy floor.
"Whoa!" Carrie yelled.
"Agh! Not here again!" Owen exclaimed.
Owen pointed his feet in the direction they were sliding in and kicked his rocket boots into full gear.
"Here we go!" Owen yelled.
Owen slows down and starts moving in the other direction. Carrie slides past him and grabs onto him.
"What are you doing?!" Carrie exclaims.
"Just hang on sister!" Owen exclaimed.
Suddenly, Jasmine appears from the portal and throws her spear at them. The spear nearly hits Carrie, but leaves a cut on her arm.
"Agh!" Carrie yelped.
Owen crashes onto Jasmine. He then completely misses the portal they arrived from.
"Hey! Where are you going?!" Carrie asks in confusion.
"I have no idea!" Owen yelled.
Jasmine calls back her spear and prepares to swing at Carrie.
Suddenly, all three of them fly through another portal.
We see Duncan, Kitty and MacArthur facing off against Courtney, Devin and Alejandro in the Super Arena.
"Okay, I think it's time we end this." Courtney states.
"Come on, Courtney, Alejandro, I know you guys are still in there somewhere." Duncan tries to bring them out of control.
"Trying to appeal to my human side? How pathetic." Alejandro remarks.
"Don't even bother." Devin states.
"Yeah, why bother?" MacArthur asks.
"Who's side are you on anyway?!" Kitty exclaims.
"I'm just trying to state the obvious." MacArthur states. "We can't appeal their true selves, that's why we're buying time."
"It won't hurt to try." Kitty states.
"Listen to the mouthy one, skinny girl." Courtney states.
"Who you calling mouthy?!" MacArthur exclaimed.
"Who you calling skinny?!" Kitty exclaimed.
"Can we just get on with it?" Duncan asks in not wanting this to play out any further.
"Fine, enough fooling around." Courtney says.
Suddenly, behind them, a portal spits out Owen, Carrie and Jasmine. They crash and Alejandro.
"What the heck?!" MacArthur exclaimed.
"Ugh! This hurts!" Owen yelled in pain.
"Owen!" Duncan yelled out to his friend.
"Duncan! Get him now!" MacArthur yelled.
Duncan takes out his Spirit and inserts it into his watch.
-Spirit of Strength-
Duncan runs to Owen and throws him away from the DV8.
"The fat one is the King!" Devin yelled in noticing the behavior.
Courtney gets up and swipes Duncan's shield.
"Whoa! On no!" Duncan yelled in knowing what happened next.
The hand comes and pulls Duncan into the elimination portal.
"We have a first out! Duncan out!" The robot announced.
"What the?!" Carrie exclaimed.
Jasmine then swipes Carrie's shield.
"Wha! Okay…" Carrie says in knowing what'll happen next.
Carrie then gets pulled in by the massive hand into the elimination portal.
"Carrie out! Carrie out!" The robot announced.
We see Heather, Mike and Shawn fighting Emma, Cameron, Brody and Gwen. They hear the announcements.
"Oh no! Carrie was with Owen!" Mike exclaimed.
"Then Owen might be in trouble!" Heather yelled in coming to the conclusion. "Shawn! Help them!" She ordered.
"On it!" Shawn yelled.
Shawn uses his grapple to swing Brody into Gwen, and then jumps into the portal.
"Mike! Follow me!" Heather yelled.
Heather jumps up through another portal with Mike following suit. Their enemies followed soon after.
We see Kitty, Owen and MacArthur standing off against Courtney, Alejandro, Jasmine and Brody.
"So, any ideas on how to take them down?" Kitty asks for a plan.
"Well, there is one technique I learned when it comes to fighting." MacArthur states that she knows something. "We only use it as a last resort."
"Yeah? What else?" Owen asks.
"I have to use my glutes for this. In other words, my legs." MacArthur states.
"Yeah? What else?" Kitty asks.
"You…" MacArthur was about to say the plan. "Run!"
MacArthur then bolted right out of there.
"What the?! Owen! Let's go!" Kitty yells.
"No arguing about that!" Owen yelled.
The two ran with MacArthur as their enemies gave chase.
"Why did you run?!" Owen asks.
"You saw why! We were outnumbered and possibly outmatched!" MacArthur agitatedly explains why she ran.
"You could have at least given us a signal!" Kitty yelled. "We were ready to fight!"
"The first sign I gave you was that I was gonna use my legs!" MacArthur yelled.
"When you said that, I thought you were gonna use a drop kick, or thigh squeeze!" Kitty yelled.
"What do you resort to with your legs when you're outmatched?!" MacArthur yelled.
"Agh! Whatever! We need to get Owen out of here!" Kitty yelled.
Suddenly, Courtney manages to catch up with them and tackles Owen to the ground.
"Agh!" Owen yelled.
"Owen!" Kitty yelled.
Kitty takes out her Spirit and inserts it into her watch.
-Spirit of the Wind-
Kitty flies to the two and tackles Courtney off of Owen, taking their fight elsewhere. MacArthur meets up with Owen.
"You okay man?" MacArthur asked.
"Yeah, but they almost got me!" Owen yelled.
"Yeah, that's the part we should be worried about." MacArthur states.
Suddenly, Jasmine tackles MacArthur and prepares for an impaling.
"Gah!" MacArthur yelled.
"Oh no!" Owen yelled.
MacArthur takes out her gun and shoots Jasmine, causing her to back up and throw her away.
"Agh!" MacArthur yelled in pain as she crashed into a pillar.
"MacArthur! Hold on!" Owen yelled.
Before Owen can kick his boots into gear, Alejandro tackles him.
"Gah!" Owen yelled.
Alejandro goes for a punch, but suddenly, his arm gets caught by a grappling hook.
"Ghh…" Alejandro grunted in noticing this.
Owen looks to see Shawn on top of a pillar, using his grappling hook to clamp onto Alejandro.
"Shawn! What took you so long?!" Owen yelled happily.
"We were pretty back up." Shawn states.
Shawn pulled Alejandro up in the air. Shawn jumps at him and creates an ice fist to hit him. The impact sends Alejandro flying into a pillar, covering him in ice.
"Whoa! You can do ice punches?!" Owen yelled in awe while standing up.
"Yeah, and I can also do this!" Shawn yelled.
Shawn took a deep breath and reformed his ice armor.
"Whoa!" Owen yelled.
Suddenly, Emma jumps out of nowhere and kicks Shawn with incredible force. This shatters his armor and sends him crashing into a pillar, knocking him out.
"Oh no!" Owen yelled.
Emma swiftly grabbed Owen's neck and lifted him easily.
"Gah! Agh! My neck!" Owen yelled, gasping for air.
"Oh no!" MacArthur yelled.
"Owen!" Kitty yelled.
Emma turns him around and steals his shield. The King mark is seen from his shield.
"Owen has been eliminated! The DV8 wins the first set!" The robot announced.
Emma drops Owen on the floor. Heather and Mike arrive at the scene.
"Well… that was a bust." Mike remarked.
"Yeah. But next time, we'll win." Heather states.
The first set of the final match is finished with the DV8 dominating the Running Men! But there is still another set on the horizon. What will happen in the next round? Find out next time!
