Mia was a 2nd ranked housemaid positioned in the Vongola main house. She originated from the small Falco Grida Famiglia. This Famiglia was absorbed into the Vongola when she was four years old.
Before the Falco Grida Famiglia was absorbed into the Vongola, they were a small Famiglia prided on having great medics. The predominant flame type was sun flames. They were known as a pretty peaceful Famiglia.
That was probably why they weren't targeted sooner. Also, they had a sky as their leader. He was old, though. Going into his 88 years alive. All of his children and Grand Children did not inherit his sky flames, though. So when he passed one night in his sleep when she was 2 years old, it was a miracle that they weren't attacked straight away.
But it gave them time, though, and while his oldest son Mario certainly wasn't a sky, he was a powerful sun with a solid and strategical mind. He started preparations right away.
Soon allying with the Vongola and proving their loyalty. By the time she was four, he had managed to get the whole Famiglia down to the last mook and child absorbed into the Vongola. Saving the Famiglia from being slaughtered by enemies.
Mia was the daughter of a 3rd ranked soldier and a 1st ranked Nurse.
Her dad was injured in one of the battles, and her mom died saving him when she was three. She was raised by her dad, who was moved to a communication job after losing his leg in the battle that took Mia's mom's life. He deals with mooks, paperwork and giving out assignments. He works under the Caporegime Ivano Alfano.
When she was six years old, she was allowed to go to the Mafia academy to hopefully graduate and become a nurse. Her mom and dad both had powerful sun flames. He always joked that when he was named Apollo that his Ma must have seen his future. That isn't true, though, because Apollo was a widespread name in the Falco Grida Famiglia.
That didn't work out, though. Her sun flames weren't strong enough to pass the first stage of the entrance exams. So she was put in regular school and started training to be a maid for the family every Friday. She started working when she turned fourteen. Ending her school career.
Sometimes, sometimes, she felt bitter. BUT she quashed those feelings quite viciously because she was Loyal, Brave, and True.
Mia was a hard worker, and all she wanted was to make her dad proud. In the past two years, she has been working hard, diligently and does whatever she has been told. Coupled with her cheerful, bubbly, friendly, upbeat attitude, she was quick to win the favour of the Head House Keeper Grace and the Governess Maria.
When she joined the workforce, she had already skipped ranks because she had been training for this job since she was six and was originally part of the Vongla family and was not hired or brought in from the outside.
She still remembered the lesson about the rankings of the maids and workers in the Famiglia. The ranks were different for kitchen staff but for people that did not work in the kitchens. The rankings were:
Rank 3 Laundry Maid / Rank 3 Mail Boy
Rank 2 Laundry Maid / Rank 2 Mail Boy
Rank 1 Laundry Maid / Rank 1 Mail Boy
Rank 3 House Maid / Rank 3 Footman
Rank 2 House Maid / Rank 2 Footman
Rank 1 House Maid / Rank 1 Footman
Rank 2 Head House Maid / Rank 2 Coach Man
Rank 1 Head House Maid / Rank 1 Coach Man
Housekeeper / Butler
Governess
Because of her previous training, Mia started off as a Rank 3 Laundry Maid, and in her two years working, they've already managed to make it to Rank 2 House Maid, something that usually would take anywhere between four to seven years.
The job she works is one of the only ones where only a female can make it to the position with the most power. If she feels a small satisfaction at that well, then nobody has to know.
Of course, there was also one more position, Lady in waiting or for males personal butlers.
The ladies in waiting only answered to the Housekeeper and Governess and, of course, the boss and the heir they are waiting on.
All four hiers right now all have personal butlers because, well, they are male. It would be improper for them to have ladies in waiting. Thinking about hiers, she winces in sympathy for poor Rick. The new heir was... well, quite a handful. He also had a penchant for throwing things... At Rick.
Mia was shocked out of her thoughts when her pager was paged. She quickly looked at her watch to make sure that it was not past her break. Good, it was only 11:30 am, not 12:00 am. She took her lunch break in her quarters instead of the breakroom, so it was possible she was late and did not realize it.
She quickly answered the pager when she saw who was paging it was Governess Maria.
She answered and said, "This is Mia speaking." She heard a panic gasp from the other side, and the Governess started speaking extremely rushed "Mia, Mia, oh thank god, you answered, a new main family member is coming!"
Mia's eyes widen, and she answered, "What, another heir! What do you need me to do?" The Governess replied quickly, "No, not another heir, a female a little girl. A little female Sky. The CEDEF head kid. Bloodline of the Primo himself."
Mia's mouth opened in shock. She quickly shot back to the Governess, "What do you need me to do?" The Governess was silent for a moment before saying, "Congratulations, you are the new Lady in waiting. I do not have many details yet but set up a sky sweet with feminine touches. I do not know the exact age of the little sky except she is a child."
Mia yelled, "Governess" In shock. The Governess shot back, starting to sound a little bit irritated, " Do you not accept your new position." Mia froze panicked for a second " Not at all, Governess, of course, I accept. I was just a little bit surprised."
There was silence for a moment, and Mia was suddenly apprehensive that she very much messed up until she heard, "Good, she will be there in four hours." The Governess abruptly hung up.
Mia breathed in through her nose and out through her mouth and shot up out of bed she was sitting in. She had work to do.
