THE FINAL UPDATE
Welcome to the Final Update. This one's late, because I had a lot of typing to do. Today had the most accepted OCs of any day prior, so...Good job to all of you, I guess? We've officially completed the cast of the series, and with that, this will be the final update until the beginning of the first chapter, which should be out soon hopefully.
No need for updates when the story is beginning next time, so let's just get to the remaining characters.
INTRODUCING:
Gloom
Representing: The Grass Type.
Gender: Male.
Hometown: Celadon City, Kanto.
"Gloom's a real piece of work. Born into a religious household that follows the faith of Arceus closely, Gloom found himself an early victim of bullying amongst his peers for being "perfect", a problem that only escalated once news of his sexuality came to light. After several rough encounters following this, Gloom eventually abandoned much of his old life, instead moving to Lumoise City to "start anew" so to speak. Becoming one of the town priests (if a very inactive, irregular one), he largely became known as a worthless bum who seemed to find more enjoyment from the bottle than from prayer, disappearing for days at a time for reasons unknown to the rest of the local populace. A pathetic, miserable man with an empty heart full of cheap booze, more often than not he's little more than cruel, crass, and depressing to look at, and at that, so helplessly paranoid you'd have better luck speaking to a wall. At least it won't accuse you of being something you aren't. Maybe deep under the surface, there's something passingly similar to who he once was, but good luck getting to that when he's such a twisted fool."
"Will Gloom manage to crawl outta his slump? Or will he fall victim to the classic vices?"
Gloom was created by JetRetroKoopa. Welcome to TPReboot.
INTRODUCING:
Druddigon
Representing: The Dragon Type.
Gender: Male.
Hometown: Lumiose City, Kalos.
"Imagine you were on a nice, relaxing walk...Then you see this guy walking down the street. This massive, imposing guy with teeth like razor blades and a glare to match. Most people would be sent running at the sight. Yet if you actually bothered to get past the messy first impression, you'd likely be presently surprised by just how...Pleasant he is. Polite, generally laidback, shockingly bright, mature; by all accounts, he's a perfect gentleman...As long as you don't mess with him or his family. Then he'll snap you like a twig. For all his best efforts, Druddigon just can't shake the bad image associated with his species, which his admittedly awkward behavior doesn't help with, since his usual kindness can just as easily be mistaken for intimidation tactics. He's a good person, but sometimes you can't help but wonder why when most people don't even bother giving him the time of day. In many ways, that's exactly why he signed up for this show; to show that he's not who most people think he is. And to try and help his adoptive parents meet end's meet. Living in Lumiose is pretty expensive after all."
"Will Druddigon shake his bad reputation and show that you can't judge a book by its cover? Or will the stereotypes of his species drag him down to that level?"
Druddigon was created by InfernoMaster64. Welcome to TPReboot.
INTRODUCING:
Scrafty
Representing: The Fighting Type.
Gender: Male.
Hometown: Black City, Unova.
"Go big or go home. Or at least that's what Scrafty always says. A gambler to his very soul, Scrafty's always been something of a daredevil, only without all the messy physical stuff. Nah, where's at his best is in the ring of mental gymnastics. He's always felt right at home charming some poor sucker into doing something stupid, so much so he's basically made it his career. He's left dozens in his wake sad and helpless from his many cons, and does he feel bad about it? Nah! It's just his job after all; not like landlords or lawyers feel bad for screwing people, why should he? Life's a game, and while he usually wins in the end, that's rarely his goal. At heart, he's just having fun, and really, you ain't living your best life if you ain't having that. And nothing gets his heart pumping like taking chances; betting it all, risking your life, being a fool...It's intoxicating. And really, Total Drama is just another one of those risks of his; sure, he could join the show, lose, and come out with nothing but a few months lost and less money than he started with, but that's why it's gonna be so much fun. Maybe along the way he can convince others to get in on his lifestyle too..."
"Will Scrafty's confidence help him gamble his way to the final hand? Or will he make the wrong move and bust out?"
Scrafty was created by RoyalAbsol. Welcome to TPReboot.
INTRODUCING:
Braixen
Representing: The Fire Type.
Gender: Female.
Hometown: Laverre City, Kalos.
"You know how some people say they feel like they were born in the wrong time period? Well...Braixen doesn't say that, but she does act like it. A strange encompassment of everything one would associate with the olden' times, Braixen's basically the perfect little follower; loyal, polite, bright, she's everything one looks for in a second-in-command. While a little lacking in social skills, Braixen is likely the sort of woman you'd compare your child to; a perfect angel who does what others tell her to, doesn't back sass, and maintains her studies. And while this has done her remarkably well in terms of her education, the same can't really be said for the rest of her life, since more often than not she finds herself tragically, and hilariously, out of her depth. And failure...Isn't something she reacts especially well to, especially when she feels like she's letting her friends down. Combine that with the context stress of her studies on top of her unstable lifestyle, and her school counselor "suggested" (demanded) she take a vacation. And ultimately, what's a better vacation than an island far, far away from the modern world...Where she can just so happen to win a lot of money."
"Will Braixen pull herself together to take home the grand prize? Or will she be left hopelessly inept when faced with her newfound reality?"
Braixen was created by Vexan. Welcome to TPReboot.
INTRODUCING:
Aggron
Representing: The Steel Type.
Gender: Male.
Hometown: Nimbasa City, Unova.
"The supposed, "king of Nimbasa City" (a little nickname he picked up from his friends), Aggron is what many would describe as a well-adjusted narcissist. Now, of course, he thinks very, very highly of himself. And yeah, he really, really likes to talk. And boy does being the center of attention feel good. But that's not all there is to him, no way...Okay so he's not exactly the deepest guy on the planet, but who cares? Despite these little ego problems, though, he's a good-ish guy at heart; he has a genuine sense of nobility and honor, with a code he won't cross, and more than that, the surprising tactical mind of a general at war. He never does something without a plan...It's just that his plans usually only make sense from his perspective. And somehow despite this, they usually work! Taking such a way of life into a competition may feel like a strange choice to some, especially cause realistically if he wanted, he could just keep scoring up victory money from all those tournaments he won. But where'd the honor in that be? If he wants to get the fame and fortune he knows he deserves, then he has to test himself. And what better way to do that than enter a game unlike any other?"
"Will Aggron prove his arrogance well-founded and dominate? Or will he soon be smacked in the face with a different reality?"
Aggron was created by KingOfkinghts. Welcome to TPReboot.
INTRODUCING:
Staravia
Representing: The Flying Type.
Gender: Female.
Hometown: Twinleaf Town, Sinnoh.
"We all knew that kid in high school; you know, the drama geek. The person who always thought they were putting on a show, even when they're eating alone in the corner of the cafeteria. Well, Staravia was that kid. By all accounts, Staravia is a painfully normal girl; good parents, decent grades, well-adjusted. But you wouldn't know that, depending on just which version of Staravia you actually met; sometimes she's an unwanted orphan, other times she's a villainous seductress. It all depends on her "role" at the time. But really, at her core...Staravia is an attention whore. She desperately wants to be seen for who she WANTS to be rather than who she is, yet really, who she wants to be can change just as quickly as the time of day. And as a consequence, it's hard to really get a grasp on who the real Staravia really is. Not even her closest friends know as much. But that doesn't matter; all that matters is when she's famous, everybody will know her name! And what better way to get that than by joining the newest, biggest reality show on television? Soon, she'll get exactly what she wants and more."
"Will Staravia manage to land the role of a lifetime? Or will she flounder and become the understudy instead?"
Staravia was created by Nihilego Fanatic. Welcome to TPReboot.
INTRODUCING:
Granbull
Representing: The Fairy Type.
Gender: Female.
Hometown: Ecutreak City, Johto.
"So, let me ask you something; I want you to imagine, right now, exactly what you think the usual personality of a bulldog is. Okay, you got it? Good...Now think the exact opposite cause Granbull is nothing like that. Despite her species' atrocious reputation, Granbull is by all accounts a total sweetheart. Chatty, caring, fun to be around, yet manages to keep any of this from feeling grating or annoying. She's...Measured. Normal. Sure, she isn't the smartest, but she doesn't really pretend to be; she's proud to be herself, and rather depends on her great deal of emotional intelligence. Incredibly mature and open to anything, she really doesn't let anything hold her back, and as a result, has found herself very popular among both her peers at her university and the locals. She's what many young girls likely aspire to be; self-dependent, nurturing, and above all else, genuine. And sure, she isn't the best under pressure and can prove herself indecisive, but that's much of a big deal when you don't let every little stressful part of life tear you down. Sorta makes you wonder why someone so well-rounded would even bother with a reality show...Then again, money is a powerful mistress."
"Will Granbull show the world what she's made of and take the gold? Or has she found her limit?"
Granbull was created by GiratinaEmpress. Welcome to TPReboot.

Huh...Lots of contestants that start with the same initial letter; D, G, and S all got loads. Eh, it's not a big deal, just something I noticed. Anyways, that's the official cast. Thank you to everyone for submitting your characters, and I'm sorry if yours didn't get in; I had to make some tough calls in some cases, so I hope everyone knows it was never anything personal.
Now that I have the full cast, I'll be immediately getting to work on the first chapter. For those with official accounts, this is also how I'll notify you when said chapter goes up. And to everyone else, thank you for your support; over 1,500 people looked into this, and I got well over fifty submissions for this story. Knowing so many of you are interested makes me very excited to do this.
I'll be taking my leave for now, but you'll see me again soon. And for the sake of maybe inspiring some conversation, why don't some of you let me know how you feel about the cast based on these first impressions? And if you don't feel like it, well, see you when the story comes out.
